A Drive-thru Issue (Post-Canon)

Characters: Tadaomi Karasuma and Irina Jelavic-Karasuma

Newlyweds Tadaomi Karasuma and Irina Jelavic-Karasuma were in their car parked in a drive-thru, waiting for their food they had ordered to be served. They decided to come home from their work in the Ministry of Defense, but not before Irina convincing Tadaomi to pass a fast-food chain first to order food, since Irina was too tired to cook and Tadaomi can't cook anything to save his life.

"I am starting to get bored, Omi-chan," the blonde complained, earning a raised eyebrow then an eye roll from her husband. "You know how packed the fast-food chain in these hours, Irina," the military man spoke in his usual serious tone as Irina pouted then placed her head on Tadaomi's shoulder. The man sighed before he looked at the car in front of them.

It has been nearly three years since they first met, and two years before Koro-sensei passed away. Tadaomi Karasuma never thought that he will meet the one who is going to spend the rest of her days with him in that crazy year full of assassins, teenage hijinks and a hyperactive pervert octopus.

It may be the craziest year of his life, but it was worth it at the end. Because of that event, he had met Irina Jelavic, a seductive assassin who eventually became his beloved and feisty wife. At first, he was annoyed by her constant arrogance and bitchiness, but when he saw how she had changed and became a sweet, although a little bit self-centered and sassy, woman who became a desirable teacher to the E-Class, he had never thought that he would fall in love with her.

He was the Da Densest, but he was still captured by her seductive hands. And in turn, he tamed her arrogant spirit and turned it into something new, into a feisty and adventurous spirit that Tadaomi had started to love in her.

He looked ahead and saw the car infront of them advancing and driving away. It seems that the wait was not long.

When they arrived at the place where they will get their food, they saw the woman who was holding their bags of food in her hands. The woman seems like she was not sleeping a wink, and it made the usual beauty conscious Irina secretly blanched at the poor sight.

"Here's your order, sir. Come back again," the woman said monotonously, as Tadaomi reached from his car seat and picked up the bags of take-out food. It seems like the woman was now tired from her work, and just wanted to go home. Irina felt a little pity at the woman, as she could guess that the woman was probably in her early 20s and possibly a working college student, but she tried not to show it on her face.

The military man held the bags of take-out food before he gave them to his wife, as he started the engine and out the drive-in counter. Irina smiled as she started to open the bag and the drinks to look at the contents inside, her stomach growling loudly, signifying her hunger, making her husband smile a bit.

Then Irina's demeanor changed as she stared at the drinks, her blue eyes glared at the contents. Tadaomi heard Irina's annoyed groan as he looked at his wife in the corners of his vision, while he was driving. Thank goodness that the road to their neighborhood was not packed, so Tadaomi can drive easily and watch Irina without worrying about hitting cars and their backside.

"What the hell is this?" she spat, as she glared at the contents. She lifted the first drink she could get, an annoyed look flashed on her pretty face, "We got the wrong order, Tadaomi! This is not acceptable!"

Tadaomi widened his eyes as decided to park the car on the side and looked at what Irina had raised.

They got the wrong order, well Tadaomi's order.

"They got mine right, but not yours!" Irina complained. Irina held the drinks, in a flavor which is not in Tadaomi's taste. Tadaomi was sure he ordered his favorite, but it seems that the staff was tired enough to get it right.

The military man understood the staff's issues. Working on a fast-food chain in the middle of the night was tiring, as he had experienced working part-time when he was still a college student.

"I don't mind, Irina, just leave it be," he replied patiently, as he grabbed the bag and fetched the hamburger inside it. His stomach was growling in hunger, and while the hamburger and the drink was not the right order, he was too hungry to care.

But before Tadaomi could open the cover and bite the food, Irina grabbed it and glared at her husband, her voice lowered an octave as she barked an order.

"Take us back."

Tadaomi widened his eyes at his wife. He could sense his wife's bloodlust as he stared at her baby blue eyes. He had nearly forgotten that Irina was a former assassin, and she could still have that kind of bloodlust hidden within her.

"Irina, I don't mind-"

"No! I wouldn't let them mess with my husband, I would berate them for giving you the wrong order!" Irina barked once again, as she was seething in anger, "Now, drive the car back and let me have a piece of their mind!"

If Tadaomi wasn't very tired after work, he would definitely use his authoritative voice to his wife. But he couldn't bear to do it, he was too tired to argue.

The raven-haired man tried to reason with a tired voice, "Irina, we don't want a fight with them, they were just tired. It was a mistake-"

"I just said take us back, or I will push you out and drive myself back."

Tadaomi raised his eyebrow on Irina, his hands gripped on the stirring wheel with a tired frustration, "Okay, if we drive back to the fast-food chain, will you be happy?"

Irina nodded, "Yes."

The man sighed as he relented to his wife's wishes, since he knew that Irina would not stop until she gets what she wants if she's totally pissed off, and he was too tired to even berate her for it.

"Fine."

The husband looked tiredly at the commotion infront of him, when his Serbian wife was complaining nonstop at the fast-food chain staff, who were apologizing at the pissed off woman.

"I apologize, miss. There is apparently a mistake on our system, and we are seriously apologizing for our mistake," the manager spoke patiently, bowing profusely, and Tadaomi was impressed on the manager's patience. He must be used to complaining people like Irina.

"You better be! Now replace my husband's order this instant!" The blonde yelled, as she pointed her hand in the air like she was threatening them. The husband was relieved that Irina does not pull out a gun just yet, since he knew that Irina can sometimes be trigger happy if she's angry or stressed.

"Irina, just stop berating them. They had already enough, they already apologized."

Irina huffed as she stomped her foot impatiently. Few moments later, a worker had given them the bag that contains the male Karasuma's order, and Irina cautiously opened the bag and stared at the contents. She smiled in satisfaction as she nodded with a smug look, "Now this is a right order! Don't ever do that to us or to anyone else again!"

Tadaomi sighed tiredly, as he looked at the crew with an apologetic look, "I apologize for my wife's attitude. She was just like that at times."

The manager just smiled and bowed in apology, "It's fine, sir. You're lucky you have a wife like that. My wife was also moody at times, especially when she was pregnant with our child."

Tadaomi stared at the man's words, before he shook his head. It's not impossible for Irina to get pregnant, especially when they are now married, but he dismissed the thought. Children can come later on, if the gods above will bless them with a child. Now, he had to enjoy the company of his feisty wife beside him.

Tadaomi just nodded as he muttered apologies and drove away, while Irina looked at her beloved husband, her hands were gripping on the food. She had heard what the manager said, and she could see the look on her husband's face when the manager mentioned about a child.

"Anata? I need to talk to you," she asked her husband with a timid voice, in contrast of what she did earlier. Tadaomi gripped on the stirring wheel tightly as he replied with his tired voice, "What is it, Irina?"

"What would happen if I was pregnant? Will you still take care of me?"

"Of course, Irina," he spoke up immediately, as he had widened his dark orbs over Irina's question, and finds it ridiculous. Of course, he wanted him and Irina to have a child, and he will be there always to take care and love the child with all his heart.

When he was a child, he vowed that his future child will experience the love of a father, ever since his father had left them when his younger sister was born. His mother raised him and his younger sister alone, and at a young age, he learned to work hard for their family. The death of his younger sister due to an illnesses devastated him, but he managed to climbed up to the top and become a soldier, and to become part of the Japanese Ministry of Defense.

"Why would you ask that?"

Irina just smiled with a wistful look, her blue eyes scanned over her small handbag in beside her. The bag was now old, as she had quit being a honeypot assassin after marrying her husband. She vowed that she will never kill people out of money or fun again unless it's necessary, and because of that, she worked alongside her husband in the Ministry of Defense.

She grabbed her handbag and fished something out of her hand bag. Without hesitation, she grabbed her husband's hand and placed something on his palm, her blue orbs stared at Tadaomi's hand.

Tadaomi was surprised at his wife's action. Irina looked at her beloved's eyes, releasing her hand from Tadaomi, as she smiled softly, "Look at that thing in your hand."

He nodded mutely as he stared at the thing on his hand.

It was a pregnancy test.

The military man stared at the thing with widened eyes as he looked at the two very visible pink lines on the test.

Irina Jelavic-Karasuma grinned with happy tears in her eyes as she had enthusiastically revealed the news to her shocked husband, "I'm pregnant."
