CHAPTER ONE: First Confessions.

"This is nice." Lena thought aloud as she snacked on chocolate ice cream, an unusual food for her, however over the past few months she had been getting more familiar eating 'Kara' food.

That name, Kara…
Kara.
Oh Kara, she had made Lena's last few months… exciting, thrilling… enticing…
Wonderous… super…

"Kara?"
"Yes Lena?" Kara turned to look at Lena, her eyes instantly captivated on Lena's, her heart skips a beat, it was a similar feeling to Lena's… captivating. Those eyes… those beautiful orbs…

"Kara?" Kara shakes her head, blinking as she realises she was daydreaming.
"Lee… I'm s- sorry…" Kara blushes, trying to cover it up with a smile and a look into her empty tub of cookies and cream ice cream, she continues to look at the spoon in her tub, following the rest of the spoon up, up the arm attached, her eyes settling on Lena's grin.
"Leeeenaaa…"
"Kaaaraaa?"
"You know how I am with cookies and cream."
"Anyone is like that with cookies and cream."

Lena checked her watch and sighed, it was late.
"I gotta go… lunch tomorrow?"
Kara looked at her and pouted jokingly.
"Staaayyyy…"
"You don't think I wanna?" Lena took Kara's hand but Kara responded by pulling Lena into a big hug.
"Thank you Lena… I didn't mean to hide it from you…"
"Kara, like I said, I forgive you." She more than forgave Kara, but she didn't show it, not yet. She smiled warmly as she stood up and packed her things, Kara moved behind her. This made Lena tense up as her heart skipped a beat or two, she shifted slightly into Kara's frame however Kara didn't seem to notice as she said.
"You forgot this."
Kara held up a small box, Lena took it and looked at it inquisitively, she opened it, looking inside at a small, red ceramic rose ornament.
"Kara…"
"Shh…"
"Kara… it's b- beautiful…"
Kara blushed and pulled away, gliding towards the door and opening it, still blushing as Lena waked over and, standing in front of Kara, hugged her, whispering into her ear.
"Lunch tomorrow at 12:15pm, I'll pick you up."

Kara, feeling slightly dazed at the very close proximity of her best friend, she blushed and stammered.
"S- Sure… uh… Lee… I… like you a lot... I... I..." Lena giggled slightly.

"I love you too Kara…" Lena whispered as Kara blushed, lost for words as her mouth just opened and closed, Lena placed a finger onto her lips and Kara stopped, still blushing. "My heart… it ached and burned when we stopped being friends, I searched and searched for a way to get back at you… to hurt you… I look back now and I only see… see hate... now when I look at you here… I… I feel bad because I hurt the woman I love the most in all the unive-" Her monologue was silenced by a light, very soft kiss from Kara, who instantly went 3 shaders redder from it, Lena quickly followed suit as she embraced Kara deeper.
"I understand Lee… I…" Kara sighed and hugged Lena contently.
"See you tomorrow." Lena said as she walked out the room, biting her lip and smiling as she walked down the hall and into the elevator.

Kara turned around, a slightly panicked, slightly flustered but very very happy look on her face as she moved to clean up from their evening of ice cream and Netflix, she eventually looked at the clock - 12:20am and sighed, changing into pyjamas and climbing into bed, falling asleep as her mind raced about the new love in her life...
Lena...
Her Lena.
