A/N: Greetings! I know it hasn't been that long since I published the last chapter however I want to keep this story active and up to date with content to read regularly. Enjoy!

CHAPTER FIVE: The Betrayal.

Lena was sat on her bed, drinking water and looking through maps of the city, she was scanning for Kara - her Kara. She had thought that, in the first week of Kara's mysterious disappearance, Kara must've finished the mission and saved the people before heading home for a little r-and-r and had ended up being so busy that she couldn't come back to the DEO. However when it hit the 3 week mark, Lena began to worry, that led to her being cooped up inside the DEO's medical bay trying to find her. This meant that when Dr Hamilton came in with some test results, Lena brushed her off and told her that she had important L-Corp stuff to do, this didn't deter the doctor who informed her that without Kara's blood, Lena's wound would re-open and it could kill her, at this news, Lena sighed, nodding in thanks to Dr. Hamilton before continuing her search for her lost girlfriend.

Eventually, after a few days, Lena finally got a hit and pressed her button, instantly requesting Alex, when Alex entered the room, Lena looked at her and nearly burst into tears.
"I f- found Kara, Alex… I f- found her…" Alex nodded, got the location and, gathering a team, set off to find her…

As the team closed into the warehouse, Kara looked up, groaning from the kryptonite-laced red sun emitters as Alex busted the door down, running in and pointing her gun around, when she sees Kara, she runs over and hug her lightly.
"Kara?" Kara groaned a response. "Get those out of here!" The agents move the emitters away and one of them runs back up to Alex.
"Director, we found this." The agent hands her a data drive, she looks it over for tracking devices before returning it and unstrapping Kara. "It's gonna be okay Kara, we got you." As Alex said those words, Kara grinned as she was carried away.

Lena was sat up attentively as Kara was carried in and wired up to machines, Lena ran over and helped the doctors as they examined Kara, when they were finished, they left Lena and Kara alone. Kara eventually woke up and looked around, squeezing the hand that is in hers, Kara looked at Lena and smiled slightly.

As Alex approached one of the computers, the person using it looked at her.
"Director, I scanned that drive you found and was able to decrypt one of the files - audio only.
"Play it." As the agent pressed the play button, the speakers emitted a sound of movement before a familiar voice came through.
"Look up." The agent pressed a few buttons and a video appeared, she synced them up and resumed it - a person previously in shadow looks up - it's Kara.
"Kara… what did Lex do to you…" Kara's eyes were full of emotion - pain, homesickness, sadness. Lex said something inaudible and a target appeared, Kara tracked it obediently as it moved, she then fired her heat vision at it.
"The next time that will be done, you will be doing that to your sister, understood?" Alex gasped as Kara nodded to Lex's question. The footage cut to Kara choking a mannequin, Lex then walked around and they faced each other. "When you next do that, that will be your new lover - my sister, understood?" Alex and the other agent gasped as Kara nodded, saying.
"They will both pay for my suffering, they don't care about me Lex, I hate them. If they cared they'd have saved me sooner." Lex smiled and patted her shoulder.

"Remind me - who do you hate?"
"Alex Danvers and Lena Luthor."
"What are you going to do when they 'save' you?"
"I'm going to kill them." Kara said that with a twisted smile.

"Get Lena now!" Several Agents begin running around…

As Kara came more to her senses, she realised who she was talking to and smiled.
"L- Lena?"
"Yeah Kara, it's me..." Lena's smile vanished when Kara grabbed her around the throat and began to choke her, Kara sneered as she pinned Lena against the wall.
"I love you K- Kara…"
"I hate you Lena, I'm going to kill you…" Kara smiled a sick grin that made Lena shiver. "And I'm going to enjoy it." Lena kicked Kara and sent her flying across the medbay.
"I love Kara and would never hurt you…"
"Then why leave me to suffer for so long?"
"I didn't mean to! I was looking for you because your the best thing that ever happened to me!" Kara staggered back and drops to a knee, she looked at Lena sadly before 3 agents and Alex run into the medical bay, Kara glared at them and, grabbing Lena, she threw her at them, growling before lunging at them and smacking Lena across the head with the butt of one of the weapons, dazing her. Kara then grabbed Alex and threw her across the room, lunging at her before wailing on her - left, right, left, right.
"K- Kara…" Alex choked out and Kara froze.
"What Alex? I hate you and nothing you say is going to change that." Kara said, a look of hate in her face.
"I l- love you…" Alex coughed up some blood as Kara resumes wailing on her, Kara goes to take a final punch before she gets picked up and smashed onto a bed, Lena leaps at her but gets launched, Kara ending up on top of Lena and smacking her, over and over until Lena's face is covered in blood and bruises.
"K- Kara… I love you…" Punch.
"I hate you." Smack.
"I love you..." Punch.
"I hate you." Smack.
"I love you..." Thump.
"I ha-" no punch came as Kara collapsed onto her knees, putting Lena on the bed and hooking her up to a blood bag and usual stuff, she then ran off to Alex's side, hooking her up to the necessary devices and then she left to the holding cells.

Several hours later they both woke up - Lena looked around before beginning to panic, she grabbed the blood bag and ran out of the medical bay. Lena ran out to the holding cells and ran into the room holding the one Kara's in. Lena collapsed as she entered to see Kara in the corner, red sun emitters on as she was sat in the corer, sobbing softly. She looks up as Lena enters, her eyes full of tears.
"L- Lee…" She looks down and blinks, trying to get the tears out, she hugged a pillow as she was crying and she threw it aside and lay down. "I- I'm sorry… I… you… we don't have t- to be together if you don't want to b- be with me, we c- can still b- be friends… if you want… I betrayed your trust and I… I… I…" She has the beginnings of a panic attack but Lena sat down next to the cell, putting her hand on the wall. Kara shakily did the same and smiled through the tears.
"Kara… it was scary… but it wasn't you. I love you."
