Alrighty, second shot at the Sylki ship! Hope this goes well๐ ๐ and that you guys enjoy it.
Summary: Sylvie had just seen the horrible sight of Loki, HER Loki, pruned and erased from existence. She needs a moment to grieve, but not before handling the one who took him...Ravonna.
***TVA, Time Keepers Chamber***
This had been one tiring day. First Loki and Sylvie had nearly died on adorned moon, Loki had been put in a swiftly tiring, and quite humbling time loop, his friend Mobius had been pruned in cold blood, and then the two had finally received an audience with the Time Keepers, only to find out that the creators of the "Sacred Timeline" were nothing more than,
"Androids, " Sylvie realized as she observed the head of one She had just decapitated, noticing the mechanics and torn wires within. "Mindless machines...I... "
"It never stopped," Loki stated, realizing that all their efforts to get her had apparently been for naught. This caused him to become a little aggravated. "Then who created the TVA?!"
But Sylvie had spawned aggravation of her own as she threw down the head of the "Time Keeper" with malice. "I thought this was it!" She exclaimed.
In that moment, it seemed like there was nothing else to do. No alternatives. Loki however began to think of Sylvie and how hard she had fought, literally fought, to get here. And that made him feel empathetic towards her again. That piled on top of the feelings he'd already grown for her made him turn to look at her. He could see that she had a look of confusion, possibly vulnerability.
Instantly, he felt the urge to tell her...This wasn't exactly the ideal time or place, but he did feel it could possibly help lift up spirits. Something he rarely ever did. But for Sylvie, she was worth it.
"Sylvie?" He began, her eyes went to him almost instantly. But she thought this was something else and shop her head. "Not another pep talk, please."
"No," he corrected as he walked up to her, becoming quite nervous as he did, "I have to tell you something." His breathing became uneasy due to the nerves, but he managed to speak enough to try and lead up to it. "We will figure this out."
"How do you know that? " Sylvie asked, not exactly convinced. She's looked as though she could cry. And given the circumstances, she wouldn't be blamed. But she held it well as Loki continued his attempt to talk.
"Because, uh...well, back on Lamentis? We...we were...This is new for me..." He was staggering with his words, and if it wasn't for the lack of light in the chamber, his blush would've come through quite apparently.
And yet, he still had Sylvie's attention.
Looking into her eyes, Loki could see her worry. But he could also see her trust in him. They trusted each other now...And that gave him enough courage to not only continue, but also shakily put his hands on her shoulders to hold her. And to his surprise, she actually let him touch her. She could see that he was trying to tell her something, but he was obviously about it.
"What is it? Tell me." She begged whisperingly.
But just before he could, a bright glowing light shine through his chest before a Now began to grown from it. It rendered hi speechless, but it was also killing him! Sylvie's eye widened at the sight. She's was completely was frozen in horror as Loki's body began to disintegrate, but not before his eyes looked into her eyes and shared one last stare with her before fully disappearing into nothingness.
As he vanished, Sylvie felt part of her go numb. But that numbness didn't last long when she saw the cause of it. For behind the spot where Loki had once stood was Ravonna with with a pruning baton stretched out.
Now Sylvie's shocked and grieving look was replaced with that of a killer stare, a woman scorned. If she had been a robot, she would've at that moment switched to KILL MODE. And her target: Ravonna.
She dodged an attack from the TVA judge and jabbed her in the diode before relieving her of her pruning baton before holding it to her chest, lit and ready.
Cornered with no way out, Ravonna raised her hands in surrender. "Do it," she taunted, "DO IT!"
Sylvie was definitely tempted to. At any other time, she would have without hesitation. But this was different. Her mind drifted back to the one who had aligned himself with her, stuck with her despite her attempts to kill him and shake him even though she was beginning to enjoy his company. The one who showed her care and shared inner most feelings with her, ones that she too shared.
'Loki.'
And with that, she stated a firm reply. "Not just yet. You're going to tell me everything!"
Ravonna dared scrunch her eyebrows and stick her nose up at that. "Never!" She spat.
A small hum from Sylvie. "We'll see about that." And then she took the blunt end of the baton and bashed it on the side of the judge's head, knocking her out completely. Adrenaline and rage still flowed through her as she eased herself from her stance and stood over the unconscious Ravonna.
From behind her, a slightly spent B-15 staggered over and stood next to her new ally. "You alright?" She asked Sylvie.
"Fine."
Almost instantly, B-15 noticed Loki's absence. "Where's the other variant, did he -?"
"Take her, tie her up please. I want to question her." The blonde cut the agent off as she spun to her and held out the baton for the agent to take.
The agent nodded and complied, taking the baton from Sylvie and picking up the unconscious judge and began to drag her towards the elevator. But not before putting a collar around her neck. Seeing that have Sylvie some sense of gratification and
'How does it feel, b***h?' She said to herself.
Once B-15 made it into the elevator, she looked back to Sylvie. "Coming?"
Sylvie shook her head at that. "I'll be a minute." She didn't say the reason why she chose to stay behind, but that was personal...in more ways than one.
Not wanting to question, B-15 but a button and the doors to the elevator closed, leaving Sylvie alone.
Now that she was, she knelt down to the spot where Loki had once stood, touching where his footprints were. She could almost feel the warmth of him there...But he wasn't. And it was that was but true fact that kept coming and haunting her.
And it became too much for her that she finally let out a thunderous scream that echoed throughout and shook the whole chamber. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" just as She had back on Lamentis-1. Only this one was more severe, more painful. This time, she hasn't lost a TemPad.
She had just lost the one person, the first person in her life to ever truly complimented and supported her, who showed her care, listened to her when she was down and had vented, who comforted her and stood by her in what she thought were her final moments.
All of those things and more did Loki do...And now he was gone...erased from existence. Suddenly, she remembered their exchange during his attempt to explain what he felt love was back in Lamentis-1.
"Love is a dagger. Yet, ultimately, when you reach for it..." "Its not there. Love is an imaginary dagger?"
It all seemed to fall into place with her. Her eyes went wide and her breathing for deeper as she realized it. Loki loved her. He was her dagger. That must've been what he was trying to tell her before he...before he was...But now, she'd never get to hear him say it. Never be able to look upon his masculinity, or hear his voice even though sometimes he talked too much.
No. No, this couldn't be the end. There had to be a way to get him back...there had to be!
Thinking carefully, she realized that if there was a way to do it, that wretch of a judge that B-15 took upstairs had to know about it. Now, her directive had changed, she had a new mission now: if there was a way, find and save Loki.
Looking where he had once stood, Sylvie again out her hand down to feel. Closing her eyes, she tearfully spoke. "Loki...If you can hear me, know that I am coming for you. I'm going to find a way to bring you back...I swear it! You will come back, and then you can finish telling me what you wanted to before...but...on the off-chance that I don't...And that this truly was goodbye...I promise I will not let your death be in vain. This I swear for sure!... Until we meet again...my love."
And with that, Sylvie stood with a new fire burning within her. A fire that burned brightly because of a man, if you could even call him that. Really, he was so much more. But regardless, the flame inside her showed as she walked to the elevator and pushed a button to head up.
And as the doors closed, Sylvie narrowed her eyes and prepared for the session she was about to have with the judge of the TVA. Regardless of what happened, she knew that there would be justice. Justice for her, but also justice for Loki. Her Loki.
And the crowd goes wild! Lol jk jk. But I do hope you guys enjoyed this next oneshot. I really wanted to get more of Sylvie's emotions/feelings toward Loki and how she'd process this going forward. She is a strong woman, but she does has a soft spot for Loki and I know she'd kill for him. Especially after that look she gave Ravonna in Episode 4 after she pruned Loki, it's a for sure. :))))
I didn't really write this one as a sequel part to the first oneshot I did, but it's not a bad idea. So you really can if you want. ๐ But either way, I'm happy with it and again, hope y'all enjoyed it. ๐
Lmk what you think! Got more pieces and ideas in the works so we'll see how that goes.
Til next time! Adios guys!
