A little Sylki onesie for the day. 😊😊
"Are we there yet?" Sylvie asked, somewhat bored.
It was about five o'clock in the afternoon and the couple had been driving for almost forty minutes.
They were driving through countryside to get to this "perfect" destination for a surprise her husband had in mind. Only thing was, she was beginning to get a little restless.
Her husband, Loki, let out a bit of a laugh this time. "Sylvie, you've asked that three times already."
"Well I'd stop if you'd just tell me what you have planned!" she playfully grabbed him by the neck and shook him.
"Careful or we might not make it there alive."
"Oooh, is that why we're going all this way," she teased, "are you planning to kill me?"
At that, Loki broke out in laughter. "Hahaha! That would be a total waste, my dear."
His wife smiled teasingly with a crinkle of the nose. This caused him to chuckle and rub her ankles which were currently resting on his lap. Some fifteen minutes ago, Sylvie has taken off her seatbelt and turned in her seat and placed her feet in Loki's lap, making them both smile at the comfortable position.
So now, all Sylvie could do was wait. And she did. And it wasn't that hard, she just found small ways to entertain herself along the way. Whether it was starring at the passing countryside, humming a small tune, poking at Loki's stomach or ribs with her feet, which made him laugh from ticklishness, she waited all the way until fifteen more minutes had passed. And then finally...
"Alright, we're just about there." Loki told her.
"Really? Well, it's about time."
"Sorry for the wait, love. But it wasn't all bad, was it?"
Sylvie feigned deep thought for a moment before replying, "No, I suppose not."
This made Loki smile before delivering a light tickle to her soles on his lap, making her burst into laughter and quickly retract her feet to her side if the car.
As they laughed together, Loki remembered the surprise he'd had in mind. "Now, Sylvie, I know this is going to ask a lot, but I'd like you to close your eyes the rest of the way."
This caused his wife to raise an eyebrow in mix confusion and curiosity. "What for?"
"For the sake of the surprise. I don't want to spoil it, and we're nearly there. Do you trust me?"
Sylvie looked at like he was crazy for a second before scoffing with a grin. "Of course I do, Loki."
"Then please, for me?"
"Alright, dear. I'll do it for you." She closed her eyes, but then peeked one open and pointed at Loki knowingly. "But if you try anything funny,"
"Oh, please. If I was going to do that, we could've stayed at home." He winked her and she laughed.
Closing her other eye, all she saw was the darkness within her own eyelids. It didn't take much longer as another two minutes went by before she felt the car stop.
"Alright, we're here," she heard her husband state. "Now keep your eyes closed, okay?"
She nodded definitely. "Got it!"
After that, she heard the 'click' that meant Loki had unbuckled his seatbelt, then she heard his door open and close. For a moment, there was silence until she heard the trunk open. Ten seconds later, she heard and felt it as the trunk was closed and it went back to silence.
The anticipation from the silence alone, coupled with the mass curiosity she already possessed, made her want to sneak a peek at where she was and what was going on. But she fought it and remembered her promise to Loki and kept her eyes closed.
And that was rewarded when she heard light footsteps before her car door opened and the comforting smell and presence of her other half radiated near her. "Did you peek?"
Smiling again, Sylvie shook her head honestly.
"That's my girl," she heard him say before feeling a kiss to her cheek, making her smile even more. "Alright, so you're gonna step out slowly and I'm gonna guide you. Okay?"
"I still keep my eyes closed?"
"Yes, but only for a moment longer."
So Sylvie turned and planted her sandled feet onto the ground outside the car and stood up from her seat inside before feeling a hand, undoubtedly Loki's hand, take hers and guide her forward in an unknown direction. As they walked, Sylvie could feel the brightness of the sun on her face, and it shoned lightly through her eyelids.
Finally, her anticipation and patience were rewarded when she heard her husband say, "Okay, open your eyes now."
When she did, Sylvie was met with a most beautiful sight. For in front of her was a picnic basket, sitting on top of a checkered blanket which lay on the soft grassy ground. But that wasn't all.
No, beyond the place setting of the blanket was a cliff, and beyond that, a beautiful view of the countryside with a stream, fields and houses below and around. It was then she realized...this was where they were headed to, why they took so long to get here.
A fluttering in her heart and a tear began to form in her eye as she turned back and looked to Loki, standing there with a humble smile. "Happy anniversary, Sylvie."
"Oh, Loki!" Sylvie cried happily. She ran into his arms and embraced him tightly, to which he immediately reciprocated. "Happy anniversary, my love!"
She peppered his cheek with kisses, which he chuckled at, but gladly welcomed as he walked over to the spot he'd set up. All the while, still holding his wife before setting her down gently on to the blanket.
"I knew you were a romantic before I married you, but this? This is amazing...thank you, Loki."
A light blush could be seen on Loki's cheeks as he opened the basket and put a sandwich on a plate for her. Fighting back tears but failing, he handed the plate over to her with a smile. "It's my pleasure, and my privilege."
From this, Sylvie leaned forward and caught his lips in a quick but loving kiss, which he gladly returned. When they broke apart, Loki was the first to say it.
"I love you, Sylvie."
"I love you too, Loki." She replied, taking one of the grapes from the basket and feeding it to him.
He took it and smiled like a blushing kid at that, but happy as he could be.
The couple ate and enjoyed the sunset over the horizon, cuddling each other as they watched. And as they did, they knew deep down that they were forever each other's. Nothing could break them apart. Their love was unbreakable.
It would be Loki and Sylvie...always.
MAN, it feels good to be back with this ship. 😊😊 I have something in mind for my next entry with this ship, but this is good for now. Hope y'all like this!
