Hi guys, it's been a really long time since I last posted anything to this account. I just wanted to preface this by telling you all that this is a story I started working on back in 2017, it's got quite a few words to it so I fully intend to continue with the releases of further chapters. This first chapter is a sort of prologue, it is set a while before the rest of the story, so be prepared for a significant time-skip, but I hope that this initial short chapter draws you all in and please do leave a comment if you enjoy it (or if you don't, I am always open to constructive criticism).
As with the other story on this account, this one is focused on a YukiXAido pairing, but with additional YukiXKaname relationship involvement. I am rating this story T at present.
DISCLAIMER: I do not own Vampire Knight or the characters and storyline within. This is a work of fan fiction inspired by the characters and world created by Matsuri Hino.
"So you like this place too?" Yuki dug her spoon into the colourful parfait in front of her, lifting out another spoonful "the waitress mentioned you the last time I was here, and it's off the academy grounds, so nobody will bother us."
"Of course, I just wish I had thought of it myself." The blonde chuckled and ate another forkful of his cake. Although Aido was quite content with the current situation, something was bothering him. Yuki had tried to conceal it with a collared blouse, but Aido could still see. There was another plaster on her neck, another patch covering what would undoubtedly be two puncture wounds from Zero's fangs. The young aristocrat knew that the arrangement between Yuki and Zero had begun before his own arrangement with her, but Aido couldn't help but feel jealous. Why was a vampire of such low rank allowed to savour the blood of someone he himself held dear.
"What's wrong, Aido? You seem like you're lost in your thoughts…" Yuki set her spoon down, studying the blonde's face for hints.
"Ah, it's nothing Yuki. Are you enjoying your parfait?" Aido rested his elbows on the table, his chin resting on interlocked fingers as he looked at the small girl in front of him.
"Oh, yes, thank you. But next time I think I will try something I haven't had before." Yuki reached out for the paper menu on their table, she gasped softly as her fingertip grazed the edge, pulling her hand away quickly and examining it briefly before taking her napkin. Aido couldn't quite see what was going on, as she had hidden her hands beneath the table, out of view, but the faint aroma reaching his nose moments later was unmistakable.
"Yuki…" Aido blinked and then fixed his gaze on the brunette "Did you… Have you given yourself a papercut?" Yuki turned her head to the side, her cheeks flushed pink with faint embarrassment.
"It's nothing, just a small cut Aido." as if to prove it to him, she raised her hand, her finger wrapped in a white napkin, a red stain slowly spreading "Oh, n-no, I thought it had stopped."
Aido stood quickly and grabbed her hand, he pulled Yuki out of the cafe without stopping, and into the small alleyway around the corner. He pulled Yuki so that her back was against the wall, his hands planted firmly either side of her, pressed against the bricks.
"I'm sorry Yuki, I can't hold back any longer. Let me see." He took his hand off the wall and instead reached down, wrapping his fingers around her slender wrist, keeping a firm but gentle grip. The red-stained napkin fell away to the floor and Aido watched as a few smaller beads of blood rose from the cut, pooling together into one larger pearl which rolled slowly down her index finger.
"A-Aido, what are you saying?" Yuki struggled slightly.
"You can't expect me not to get jealous, when you let Kiryu drink your blood. You can't hide it from me either." Aido trailed his tongue along her finger, clearing away the crimson trail, the bleeding had slowed to almost a stop. The blonde kissed her fingertip then looked up through half-closed eyes "I've waited for as long as I can bear."
The young vampire leaned in close to Yuki's face, he released his grip on her wrist and instead brought his hand up to caress her cheek. Yuki's eyes closed contentedly. Aido closed the gap and kissed her softly, briefly drawing back moments later to ask a question, his tone soft and genuine.
"Yuki, would you allow me… to drink your blood?"
"Yes, Aido…" Yuki responded without hesitation, her voice quiet but her answer certain. Aido pulled her collar away, running his fingertips along the soft, warm skin of her neck. He leaned in close, his breath against her skin sending shivers through Yuki's body. Aido kissed her neck, muttering a soft 'thank you' before slowly piercing her flesh with his fangs. Immediately the blood began to flow, it was like nectar.
