Sanctuary

"Are you alright Hades?" The male was startled out of his reverie as he found his niece gazing worriedly at him and inwardly berated himself for day dreaming at an important meeting regarding the well-being of Sanctuary and the Underworld. "No…I apologize for day-dreaming…" Saori smiled fondly. "It's alright… I think we can discuss this on another day." Hades wanted to refuse the offer but Saori had already stood up and had started packing up. Sighing, the god of death begins helping the goddess pack only to find himself ushered into a chair. "Is there something bothering you Hades?" Saori asks as she pours a cup of warm tea for Hades and hands it over to the God of Death. "It's nothing…" Hades started as he took a sip of his tea while Saori looks on worriedly.

"Hades..." The Lord of Death remained silent as he gazed into his reflection within his tea while the purple hair woman sighs, crossing her arms with a pout. "Why must you be so stubborn…?" Hades couldn't help but let a small smile spread on his lips at the familiarity of the line and actions. "It can't be help…I'm just as I am…" Saori was surprised and worried at Hades's behavior and his response. "Uncle..." "It's nothing my dear niece…sometimes…promises are broken, regrets can never be undone and we have to carry the consequences of our choices for the rest of our lives." Hades states as he places the cup of tea down and stood up under the worried gaze of his niece. "Uncle Hades…" "I should be heading back; we will continue this discussion another day…" Saori opened her mouth to say something but resisted and offer a gentle smile as she stood up to walk her uncle out. "Uncle." The black hair god pauses in his steps to glance back at his niece. "Yes?" "…If you are troubled by anything, I will always be here to be your listening ear." Hades blinked before smiling wistfully. "Thank you but… I will be alright…" Without waiting for the response from his niece, Hades left for the Underworld.

Heinstein Mansion; Germany

"Oi Cheshire! Cheshire!?" "Huh?" Myu sighs as he finally manages to catch his friend's attention. "I've been calling you for the past 10 minutes, idiot!" "Sorry about that." Myu looked on worriedly. "What's wrong? Your eyes are swollen." Cheshire touches his face before laughing it off. "It's nothing…just a lack of sleep due to the perverts upstairs…" "Ok…that was definitely not a needed picture." Cheshire laughed as the Butterfly Specter beside him held his head in fear as he tries to shake out the image.

With the period of peace; the Specters have settled down which of course led to the realization of feelings. Queen and Gordon had happily settled down; Aiacos & Minos decided that they should open their relationship. The others were happy for the couples of course the bad news was the latter were extremely 'active' at night. Needless to say, the other residents were in a particularly foul mood the next morning due to the lack of sleep.

"You sure you're alright?" Cheshire blinks before he smirks, mischief twinkling in his eyes as he teases his friend. "Aww, you are worried about me?" Myu laughs but his expression turns serious. "Be serious alright, you've been out of it for a while now." Cheshire stares back at his close friend who was looking at him sternly. "Sorry about that. Just thinking about what we can do now in this peaceful time." "That's all?" Myu asks in disbelief while his friend stood up and stretched languidly. "Yeah…that's all…" A wistful smile formed as Cheshire uttered those words before he turned to Valentine with a bright smile. "Come on, let's go get some food. I'm starving..."

Cheshire trailed off as an annoyed yell rang out. The duo watches as Sylphid dashes pass them laughing like a maniac as a soaked & pissed off Gordon chases after him. "Get back here you bastard!" "Never!" Myu and Cheshire both stared at each other before bursting into loud laughter at the scene. Cheshire was the first to compose himself as he wipes a tear of laughter away. "Just like old times..." Fragments of memories rushed by as Cheshire smiles sadly. "We can't go back to those days anymore…" As Cheshire murmurs, he felt a warm pair on hands on his shoulders and a very familiar voice whispering in his ear. "Oh, we can." Cheshire's eyes widen at the familiar voice and he frantically turns around only to find himself alone, his peers laughing in the distance. Trembling, he touches his shoulder as he tries to calm the frantic beating of his heart. "You're just tired Cheshire...they are no longer here anymore..."

Underworld

The Lord of the Underworld blinks as the carriage came to a stop. The male had been so deep in thought that he had yet to realize that he had arrive back in the Underworld. Stepping out he came face to face with his twin advisors. "Welcome back Lord Hades." "Hypnos, Thanatos." Both twin gods bowed respectfully. "Would you like to rest for a moment my lord?" The black haired god remained silent and both twin gods glanced at each other before calling out for the god once more. "Lord Hades?" The Lord of the Underworld immediately snapped out from his reverie once more to face the worried expressions of his two most trusted advisors. "I apologize…" "Lord Hades if I may be direct, you should rest for the day. Perhaps the past few days have been quite taxing…" Hades smiles softly, shaking his head. "No… I might go for a walk instead, perhaps the air in Elysium can clear my head better…" The twin gods cast a glance at each other before bowing. "As you wish Milord." Both twin gods watch silently as Hades teleported towards Elysium as they spare knowing glances at each other.

It didn't take too long before Hades successfully arrived in Elysium. Gazing at the blue skies and the beautiful greenery, it brought both peace and bittersweet feelings within him. Hades said nothing but continued to stroll further inwards. The rolling fields eventually gave way to a lake. In the center of the lake, a small monument was erected in the middle of the lake. If anyone was around, they would be stunned by Hades gracefully stepping across the surface of the lake to arrive at the small island. The black hair god gently brushes his fingers against the monument, his blue yes softening in sadness. "It has been a while… I'm sorry I hadn't visited, there had been so many things occurring at once." Hades paused, trying to get his throat working once more. "There's so much I want to tell you…where should I start…?" Silence met the god but he as undeterred as he sat beside the monument, leaning against the cool granite. "I'm no longer waging war on earth anymore… I'm working together with Athena or in this era Saori along with Poseidon aka Julian Solo who by the way tried to marry Athena and threw his tantrum by trying to drown the earth. No worries, Athena and her saints saved the day and he is now paying back for his sins by helping the orphans and people affected by the flood…" Hades pause for a moment, shutting his eyes as he imagined that he was not leaning against a cool monument but a warm, living & breathing young man with flaming red hair and equally flaming red eyes.

"I'm working hard to pay back my sins as well…even though I know so well that it can't bring everyone back but I…" The words were caught in Hades's throat and he tried to manage a small smile. "I miss you so much, we promised each other... that we will try to keep on smiling even if one of us was gone." Tears trickled on the monument as Hades continued. "But it's too painful...without you here..." The Lord of the Underworld could only sob silently as the pain consumes him. "If only… I could take back everything I'd done… To see you and everyone once more…" "Is that so?" The god turned to see a shadowed figure stepping towards him. "You wish to take back your sins and see everyone again…?" Hades stood up warily. "Who are you?" "You didn't answer my question." A flicker of confusion reflected in Hades crystal blue eyes. "What?" "If only I could take back everything I'd done…To see you and everyone once more… Was what you said am I right?" Hades's eyes widen in shocked before hardening in anger as his cosmo raises in response. "Leave now before I change my mind, you are trespassing on sacred ground…!" The cloaked figure was silent before chuckling at Hades words. "Oh Lord Hades, that fire within you has never changed… Even after so long…" The black hair god froze at the words, his eyes widening at the familiar cosmo emitted by the shadow figure before him. "No it can't be…" The shadow figure smiled beneath his cloak before he reached up to pull back the hood revealing long brown hair and a pair of stunning emerald eyes. Hades wordlessly slumps onto his knees as the figure approaches him. A pair of slender hands cups the god's face, emerald eyes gazing into blue as the male utters a question. "Shall we see the cherry blossoms together once more Lord Hades?"
