So here we have the Party. Let's see who showed up.
Junior didn't understand the concept of "party." All he knew was that his mom and aunt JJ were excited. He had been dressed up in a top hat and a bow tie. "Gib gible", Junior felt fancy as Nikki and Jj were getting ready for the party. JJ had put a red bow in her Cynaquil's fur. The Pokémon did not understand why they were dressed up all they knew was that their trainers were going out. Ava and Kat had told the girls that there was going to be a party at their house. Just a small get together with no boys allowed. This disappointed JJ as she liked to flirt, but this was Nikki's dream. Nikki had made it perfectly clear that she was bisexual given all the times she had tried to make out with JJ. So having an all girls party would probably be Nikki's dream. JJ felt that she would have to control her roommate from doing something very stupid. Speaking of stupid, JJ had told Nikki about the "date" with Alex. Now Nikki wouldn't shut up about teasing JJ much to the tall girl's chagrin. Nikki wore a white top with a pink skirt and white ribbons in her hair. JJ wore a blue top and leather skirt. "Oh someone is feeling eager. Leather really?", JJ mumbled something as Nikki laughed. Nikki scooped up Junior who looked lovingly into his mother's eyes. "Oh Junior, you will be playing with new friends today that is why I dressed you up so fancy.", Junior waved his arms up and down eagerly.
JJ and Nikki would drop their Pokémon outside in the area that Kat had created for the baby Pokémon. Junior and Nikki's Cynaquil eagerly went to play with the other baby Pokémon. The girls could hear music coming from Kat and Ava's house which meant JJ and Nikki were late. "See what happens when you try to bone Alex, JJ. You make us late.", JJ swung at Nikki who ducked. JJ was never going to live this down. Nikki knocked on the door and was shocked to see who was standing there. At the door was James, who they knew as Royce's mentor. He was shorter than both girls, but wore a checkered long sleeve shirt. JJ looked at Nikki, Kat had texted JJ that no guys were allowed at the party. Yet here was James at the party. "Uh hi?", he said at the two freshmen who were looking at him strangely. Nikki shook her head, "oh sorry about that we were just confused because Kat and Ava said that there were no guys at this party.", James shrugged as he didn't know anything about that. He let the two girls into the party. Andy and his mentor Jer were there sitting on the couch drinking beers, Royce was sitting in the corner in all black seemingly being the loner, there were about 20 other people there that the girls didn't know. There was no sign of Bunny, Ava, or Kat.
"FRIENDS!", Nikki and JJ felt arms wrap around them. Nikki and JJ turned around to see a smiling Kat. After seeing her, both girls felt inferior. Kat was wearing a red top with red lipstick. That was the only piece of makeup the 20 year old had on. She was naturally beautiful. Her black hair was straightened and was long. She wore her necklace that she always wore along with earrings with red studs. Kat had on skintight jeans that showed off her nice legs. Kat had a goofy smile on her face, clearly she was already drunk. Nikki and Ava could smell the alcohol on her. She just looked at both of them goofily, "where are your drinks? Come come, let's get you drinks. James! Get Nikki and Ava drinks.", the beautiful girl called as James huffed off to the kitchen. JJ looked at the drunk junior, "Kat, you said no guys were allowed. So why are there guys here." Kat just let out a loud laugh, "Oh that's because Alex always tries to get into a Pokémon fight whenever he gets wasted. Ava and I didn't want to deal with that so we lied. Oopsie.", she chucked as she covered her mouth. She would then drag the other two into the main room of the party. Of course Nikki and JJ looked for Ava and Bunny.
James' phone meanwhile was blowing up. He had expected Ava to be texting him, afterall whenever Ava got drunk, she made out with James. That was not the case now instead he was getting angry text messages from Alex who had found out about the party. "JAMES, I SWEAR TO ARCEUS YOU BETTER SPY FOR ME. LET ME KNOW WHAT IS HAPPENING. I SWEAR-", James put his phone back in his pocket. He would just have to find Ava. Ava though was not downstairs. She was upstairs with Bunny. Bunny had been given the rare access to Avaline Bloodsworths room. Not even last year had Bunny been granted permission to enter the room. The room was actually pretty normal. Sure the walls were purple and black and there were some rock posters on the walls. Bunny studied one in particular it was a picture of the band The Smiths. The little sophomore turned to Ava who was drinking her vodka, "you know this is Alex's favorite band, right? He even named his newest Pokémon after Morrissey." Ava, who wore a black top and extremely short jean shorts, smiled. "And guess who introduced them to him.", it was one of the only times they didn't fight was when talking about the Smiths.
Ava pointed at Bunny's cast, "can you drink with that thing on or no?" Bunny shrugged, "don't know I don't really drink so..." she had not seen any desire to drink. She had experienced the horrors of alcohol once before and hated it. She swore it off from then on. "Your loss.", Ava chugged her third cup of Vodka. Soon it would be make out time with James or some female it did not matter, but there was more important business to attend to before then. Ava reached underneath her bed and pulled out several journals and made two piles, Bunny looked at them in utter confusion. What was Ava doing? "Kat wanted me to give these to you since she's utterly wasted now and has to entertain aka flirt with guys. But these are her journals she's kept from all her fights. She's a geek that way, but she kept detailed notes from her fights. She wants you to have these so you can see how she's grown as a battler. From a shy intimidated girl to the best battler here." Ava winced at that, but it was true Kat was better. Bunny meanwhile was stunned. This was such a kind gesture from Ava and Kat. "We have to go find Kat.", Ava nodded in agreement she could then find her make out buddy.
Downstairs, James was ignoring a fifth straight phone call from Alex. James was going to have to change his number after this party. Bunny and Ava went downstairs where they separated. "James Aegis, come here." James could not react as Ava grabbed him by his collar and threw him into a closet. She would join him in there for a make out session. In the living room, Jer and Nikki were on their fourth straight win of beer pong. JJ sat with Andy, sulking. "You know they cheated Andy. How could you get so distracted when we only had one cup to go." JJ scowled at her oldest friend. Andy just shrugged, "I mean she showed some cleavage she what was I supposed to do?" JJ mumbled something about them not being as big as hers which caused Andy to laugh at JJ's jealousy. Kat, meanwhile, was holding court over a group of guys. This was a common occurrence whenever she went to parties. Guys flocked to her, but Kat wasn't interested in them. She was still waiting for her ideal man to show up and until then she would just have fun flirting.
"Kat!", Bunny ran over to her mentor and gave her mentor a one armed hug. "Buns, what happened where's your drink? Oh no you don't have a drink?", Kat snapped her fingers and two of the guys around Kat hurried away and returned with a fresh beer for Bunny and Kat. Kat took it and smiled sensually at one of the dudes. Bunny was hesitant to take the beer, but Kat prodded her mentee with a nudge in the ribs. Bunny took the drink and began to sip it. She made a face as she did not like it. She made a gag reflex as she drank the awful substance. It was too bitter for her. Her mentor, though, had quickly chugged it and put an arm over Bunny. "You having a good time, Bunny? I want to make sure you're having fun.", Bunny nodded. She was having a good time in her own way. It may not look like it, but she was having a good time. "Kat, Ava showed me those journals that you're giving me. You are so kind-", the twenty year old held up her right hand so Bunny could see the star shaped birth mark on Kat's hand. "I wanted you to see that I was just like you then I got more confident. This will help you. Now excuse me, I have to go play matchmaker.", she skipped away from Bunny and the guys.
Royce, meanwhile, was outside performing party favors with Goo. Royce would toss some beer cans into the air as Goo would use her water gun attack to hit each one. The cans would get smaller and smaller, but every time Goo would nail the cans. This had caused a group of girls to form around Royce. Royce usually wasn't one for parties, but he had to admit that this party trick had made him popular with the ladies. So it worked out well for him. Plus, if he could work on accuracy like James said then it worked out well for him. Speaking of James, he had emerged from the closet as did Ava a little bit later. James had to adjust his long sleeve as Ava adjusted her top. "So um Ava, maybe we could go grab some dinner-", but it was no matter, Ava had walked away. He just sighed as he was used to Ava acting like this. Whenever he would want to ask her on a date, she didn't care. It made James feel like just a plaything. Not that he minded, she was hot, but still he wanted something more. James looked down at his phone expecting to have missed more phone calls, but there were no phone calls which scared James.
JJ was drunk. She still was pissed at Andy for costing them the beer pong game. So she had sat quietly and drank. ARCEUS, Andy hadn't even asked her to dance! Andy had gone off to flirt with some red head which pissed JJ off more. If Alex were here he would have asked JJ to dance and maybe... JJ shook her head. No she wasn't thinking of Alex like that. He was still a douchebag. Sure the afternoon had been nice, but he was still a dick. She couldn't have started to get a crush on him, right? It was the alcohol. It had to be. She looked around and saw Jer trying to flirt with Nikki. They had won 7 games in a row until being defeated. Jer was trying to make a move on Nikki. But JJ knew her roommate well and could see that Nikki had her eyes on some blonde girl. 'Poor Jer, he doesn't event know.', Nikki had told JJ that though she was bi, she preferred girls so Jer barking up the wrong tree.
JJ felt someone sit next to her, she thought it was Andy so she turned a shoulder to the person. "Ah so your boy was being an idiot.", JJ turned around and saw the drunk Kat had sat down next to JJ. The brunette raised a eyebrow, "my boy? Oh no Andy isn't like that. He's just a friend." They could have been more, but Andy had blown his chance. Kat's eyes seemed to lit up and she smiled evilly. "Well then you are in for a treat. There's plenty of guys here. What's your type?", oh yes Kat would help JJ. She had seen the young freshman sulking on the couch. Kat couldn't have that at this party. She wanted everyone to have fun. JJ sighed as she racked her mind, "I like someone smart, obviously athletic with muscle and tall, someone that likes to raise Pokémon eggs. Someone funny. Has to be a dude." Kat drunkingly nodded. "Well let's go!", Kat grabbed JJ by the arm as she was going to find this attractive girl a guy. That was until Kat felt a tap on her shoulder.
Ava had a massive frown on her face with her eyebrows raised. She was holding a drunk Bunny by her collar as Bunny was trying to fight Ava with her left hand. "AVA PLEASE!! I JUST WANT TO KISS GUYS. PLEASE AVA PLEASE.", Bunny drunk shouted/cried which had everyone looking at the group. "You did this, Kat. Clean it up.", Ava demanded. Kat gave a little smirk, she was proud of Bunny for apparently having a good time. Ava was a buzzkill. Ava still looked pissed until Kat relented, "fine. Take her up to my room.", Kat turned to JJ. "JJ go get Nikki. Girls meeting up stairs in my room." The boys would be left to clean up the party.
Kat's room was simpler than Ava's had been. Whereas Ava had purple and black walls, Kat's were a soothing white and grey. There was a blue Pokémon bed filled with Scout's toys. There was a desk with scattered papers and textbooks. This was where Kat worked on organizing the Pokémon research class. Ava opened the door and tossed Bunny inside. "Screw you Ava.", Bunny could be a mean drunk apparently. Kat would come up with JJ who was carrying a very drunk Nikki over her shoulder. JJ placed Nikki down, on the bed as Nikki started to kick at JJ as Nikki was upset. "JJ, you blocked me. That girl was so hot. You're no fun and it's my birthday coming up-", to shut Nikki up, JJ leaned in and pressed her lips to Nikki's then pulled back, "aghhhhh." Nikki swooned. She had finally got what she wanted. JJ rolled her eyes. At least Nikki would shut up. The girls then settled inside Kat's room.Outside in the party, Jer, James, Andy, and Royce met up. There were several girls following behind Royce as they were impressed by his tricks with Goo. "Where'd the girls go?", Andy asked. The females had seemingly disappeared. James just sighed, "we are going to have to clean this up." He knew these girls all too well.
Meanwhile, the five females were cackling as they had begun to judge all the guys at the party. Kat nudged Ava, "so you find your make out buddy yet? You know that's super weird, right?" JJ and Nikki tilted there heads in confusion. They really hadn't thought Ava would be so aggressive and wanted to know who this person was. Nikki especially wanted to know since Ava was her mentor. Ava shrugged her shoulders, "it's James. He's a good kisser and a good plaything. That's all. I've hooked up with girls too, but James is just fun to play around with." The two freshmen made an "ohhhhhh" noise. Kat leaned in, "she likes him, but won't admit it. Plus she dated Alex last year so she doesn't have the best taste in men.", Ava swatted her best friend who continued to laugh. Bunny meanwhile had passed out from drinking too much and had curled up in Scout's bed. JJ gulped, if they were trading stories, "Alex actually took me on what he called a date, it wasn't really wasn't a date. But that's what he called it. Some seafood place." Nikki nudged JJ as Ava looked at Kat.
The twitch in Kat's left eye was her tell. Ava had noticed it last year when she and Alex were hooking up. Whenever Ava would make a romantic move on Alex, she had seen Kat's eye twitch. She had long suspected that Kat liked Alex, but had denied it every time when Ava asked her. They were just best friends and mentor mentee, was always Kat's excuse. Ava knew that underneath Kat liked Alex more than she let on. That twitch told the whole story. Ava knew what she had to do and that was have a talk with her roommate."Kat, I have to use the bathroom. Come with me to my bathroom for a second.", she grabbed her roommate by the wrist as Kat was very confused, but was dragged along by Ava. She thought Ava would need her to hold her hair back. This was what roommates were for. Ava dragged Kat into Ava's bathroom and closed the door.
"You ok?", Ava asked. Kat looked baffled by the question. Wasn't Ava supposed to be the one who was sick from drinking to much? Sure Kat had a lot, but she was fine. She gave Ava a look as if to say, 'huh.' Kat was utterly confused. "About Alex going on a date with JJ. Are you ok?", Kat looked at Ava as if she was insane. Why would she care if Alex wanted to date JJ? Alex had dated other girls before including Ava. Kat didn't give a shit. She shook her head, "Ava you're wastes. You aren't making any sense. Why would I care what Alex does? If he wants to hang out with JJ then let him. It's fine with me." She didn't understand what Ava was doing. Of course the beer had fogged her brain, but she couldn't grasp what was going on. Ava stepped up to Kat, she was slightly taller, but made sure to look Kat in her eyes. "Because, Kat, you like him. You have since last year. That's why.", Ava's tone was firm to her best friend. They needed to have this conversation. It had been building for a year. "You're fucking NUT!!! FUCK OFF!", Kat was pissed. She was done playing games with Ava. She was beyond annoyed now. Kat went to open the bathroom door, but Ava closed it on herald held it shut. "No Catherine, I saw the twitch in your eye. The same twitch you had when Alex hung out with me. You've been running from this for a year. You like him. And we aren't leaving til you and I talk.", there was a pause as Kat finally broke down and sobbed.
Kat slumped to the floor. Ava cradled her friend as Kat grabbed onto Ava's top to cry into. She had been running from this since last year. It had been rough with a Ava last year, but she knew that wouldn't last. This was different. Alex had taken JJ to Kat's favorite restaurant, Mydia. Kat had taken Alex there the first day after a mentor and Mentee pairing. That became THEIR place. It was where Kat had told Alex about her mother. Where Kat had listened to all of Alex's insecurities and where they talked strategy in battles. Kat and made him take her there when she beat him in the clash of classes. It was here where Alex tried to cheer Kat up after she lost in the finals. Mydia meant the world to Kat and Alex knew it. "He...he...took her to Mydia, Ava! Mydia! You...know that...we", Ava nodded and rubbed Kat on the back. Ava wouldn't leave her best friend. That was a asshole move by Alex and Ava wouldn't forget this. "Am...I...too ugly for him, Ava? Like... I know..I don't have the biggest chest...but I work out a lot... I...I", Ava smacked Kat across the back of the head. That needed to stop. For as strong as Kat made herself out to be there were private moments like this that the real Kat came out. "Kat, you're probably the most beautiful girl in the school. Hell you don't even wear makeup and look amazing. If you were bi, I would have made a move." This brought a painful laugh from Kat.
"He...he visited me in Kalos after he went to Kanto.", Kat whimpered. They had spent a few days practicing as Alex had showed Kat his Dragonite. Kat had been so giddy they were both single, but nothing happened. "I wanted to tell him so bad, Ava. I wanted to confess that I like him a lot. He even bought me these stupid things.", Kat sat up and took the red earrings out and threw them across the bathroom and leaned against Ava. "I couldn't do it, Ava. I couldn't tell him. I was too scared. We're best friends what if I fucked up our friendship? Wouldn't it be awkward? But now he went on a date with JJ. Why doesn't he like me? I like him so much.", tears began to pour out of Kat again. Ava picked her up so they were at eye level. "Kat, he's a boy. He doesn't know what he wants. If he can't see that the perfect girl from him has been staring him right in the face he's an idiot. You're who he should be going after, Kat. If he can't see that then forget him." Even Ava sobbed a little. She hated seeing her like this. 'Fucking stupid Alex.', she thought.
They spent an hour in the bathroom, Ava just comforting Kat who had cried herself to sleep. The combination of the heartbreak and the beer was not ideal. When Kat was passed out, Ava got up as she looked at her phone, "7 am" it read. Ava went into Kat's room to see what the freshman had done. There was a Cynaquil wearing lipstick in JJ's arms. Nikki spooned with Bunny in Scout's bed. Nikki's Gible had completely taken over Kat's bed. Ava sighed, "stupid freshmen." Then there was a large knock on the front door. A repeated knocking that was not stopping. Ava walked down the stairs to the living room. She looked around as Jer, Andy, and Royce were fast asleep. They had cleaned up the house from the mess last night. She knew who to thank for that. She opened the cleaning closest and saw a passed out James. Ava just smiled at her make out buddy. The knocking though continued probably someone wanting to get their stuff. Ava huffed over to the door.
"Get your shit and-", Ava stopped. In front of her was not a human, but three Pokémon. One was a Floatzel, Dragonite, and a Dragalge. There was only one person that Ava knew had this combination of Pokémon. The person that had not been invited to the party in the first place. "Dragalge!", Poe commanded as Ava stood in shock. Jet and Poe sent a water blast right into Ava's face. The blast had drenched Ava's face and dress. Her makeup was running into her top. Alex's pokemon had smiled triumphantly as Drago scooped Jet and Poe back into her arms. Poe turned back at Ava, "Dragalge...Dra...Al...Ge...Dra." With that Drago flew off carrying the rest of the other two Pokémon. Ava was pissed and confused. "He said that Alex wanted to send you a good morning and hoped you sober up.", a weary James who had awoken once he had heard the commotion. Ava growled, Alex was now even more on her shit list.
Ooc: What a wonderful party. I wanted to do something fun and do some character building. I hope you guys liked it. Next chapter we look at what The Righteous have been up to.
