Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of the Reaper and the Overpowered Mother. Enjoy the 1500-word chapter. I don't own DYLYM, Yen Press and a few others do.

Mamako's strike sent him flying across the battlefield they had set up. There was far too much for him to simply worry about.

Niko chuckled, simply cracking his fingers as he looked at the smiling woman. She looked so innocent for someone who probably ticked off HALF the server. It made Niko question what she had done to get the swords she held.

"Your using a lot of power moves right away rather than trying to use the simple attacks." Niko stated, brushing off his armor as he did so. "Why do you keep using those powerful attacks rather than the simpler ones?" Niko stated, looking at her as he brushed off his armor, guessing constantly as to who she was.

Niko watched Mamako smile, oblivious to the terms he was using to begin with. It made him certain that she was unsure what was going to happen. He knew something was going on, their training did NOT go unnoticed by their children who sat on the sidelines, looking at their parents who were busy thinking of what to practice next in their duel.

"I don't know, I'm just doing what we usually do when I think about it, I guess." Mamako stated while Niko shrugged, simply giving a smirk towards the woman a moment later.

Mamako playfully held her swords Niko playfully bowed as he started to think about his next maneuver would play out. He was quite interested in what would happen when she had the training to back up her power. It was both something he dreaded, and yet something he was curious about to no end. He knew something was going to snap and for once? Niko would gladly enjoy that fight when he could do it on his own terms without worrying about holding back.

"Ok, then." Niko said as he rushed forward, dodging a torrent of water from one of her swords as he did so. He began to close the distance, knowing what was coming if he hesitated to strike a blow against Mamako.

Niko leapt into the air, trying to bring his own sword down on Mamako who leapt backwards as he showed her. Niko landed where she had been a second ago as he started to rush at her again, aiming his sword towards as he smirked, rushing towards her, questioning as to how this was going to go. Then again?

Mamako was starting to become far stronger than him… Well, she already was, but guessed that she was going to get stronger in more than power when it comes down to it. Niko spun his sword and looked at her with amusement. The duo started to circle each other; their swords held at the ready to strike at the other at the first sign of trouble.

"This is fun." Niko said, gaining a head tilt from Mamako as she spun her sword before Niko leapt at her. "Also? Your pretty tough when it comes down to it." Niko stated, aiming his sword at her in question.

He brushed off his sword while he started to sigh, rubbing at his temples as she blocked one of his slashes. He was slowly but surely beginning to improve with his training with Mamako. The longer this went on? The longer he improved her ability to give him a better fight at the end of the day.

Mamako hummed, looking at the ground as Niko cracked his fingers. She held up her hands while Niko blinked, hopeful as to how their next fight would go.

"Ok, I'll call it for this battle." Niko added, putting his sword on his belt a moment later. "I'll show how the magic for the swords works tomorrow. I'm a bit tired at this moment." Niko said while he started to walk off the battlefield.

Mamako watched as Niko began to sit on a walk while he sighed, rubbing at his temples as he closed his eyes. He looked at Mamako who started to walk off the battlefield, quite amused by this. Mamako took a seat next to Niko, looking at him while the duo began to look up at the sky.

"There's going to be another raid coming up soon, you know." Niko stated, putting his head in his hands. "I don't know if it's going to be as hard as the last dungeon when I think about it." Niko stated, unsure what to say at the end of the day.

He sighed, putting on a small smile as Mamako looked to him, patting his hand with a small smile of her own. He guessed that they'd clear the dungeon without much issue. It was keeping their kids from their loot and growing greedier with the power that would grant them.

Niko was up to the challenge, but it would still be pretty tough.
