Hiccup and I circle Berk a few times mounted on our dragons and the view atop our dragons is stunning. I don't know exactly how many times we circle Berk because I'm way more absorbed in our conversation than I meant to be. Hiccup talks animatedely about dragons, specifically Night Furies and I am actually willing to pay attention.

We land back in the academy and I only just realize the sun has set. The moonlight is glimmering off Windshear's scales. I stroke her muzzle, "Just a little longer." I whisper to her and turn back to Hiccup and Toothless. Hiccup grabs the Book of Dragons which Fishlegs left on a barrel earlier. I feign a yawn.

"Have you changed your mind? The offer still stands."

"Yes please. Thank you, Hiccup." I feign another yawn for good measure.

As we walk back up through the village, I keep an eye on the book in Hiccups arms. I just want to reach out and grab it but I know that will be too reckless. On top of that we're already at his house and I left Windshear at the Academy so it will make escape near impossible.

Hiccup and I enter the Chief's house, Toothless on our heels. Stoick is already asleep in a chair thankfully. Hiccup leaves the book on the table and Toothless and I follow him to the loft.

Toothless practically runs me over to curl up on his rock slab. "No buddy. We're sleeping downstairs tonight." Toothless huffs annoyed at Hiccup's request. I can tell he doesn't like giving up his bed. He starts going downstairs before Hiccup and begins to drag him by the hand.

"Goodnight, Heather. Gah! Toothless slow down. Ow! Needy dragon."

When Hiccup regains his footing on the stairs, I laugh at his disgruntled expression and his dragon's overenthusiasm. "Goodnight, Hiccup." I say between laughs. To my satisfaction he smiles.
