"Sorry, I'm late gang," Hiccup apologises. "I got a little caught up."

"Yeah, I noticed." Astrid responds dryly.

"Oooh, we were supposed to-" Hiccup is cut off by Astrid throwing her axe at a target placed almost exactly behind him.

"Save it. You won't listen to me, and you won't understand until it's too late. She will betray us."

"Astrid you don't really know that."

I want to scream and laugh at the same time. If only they realize how right Astrid is. I have to betray them to save my parents, but at the same time I feel guilty at the next necessary steps.

"I, for one can't wait until she betrays us." Tuffnut intones unhelpfully.

Everyone turns to look at Tuffnut exasperated. Astrid throws her axe again so the blade soars just over his head.

"Cool, I felt the wind off that one."

Windshear nuzzles me affectionately, and I realize I need to make my move by tonight. Alvin is only so patient. If I don't hurry then Alvin will attack. Is it odd I don't want a full out war?

I shake myself from my distracting thoughts and track the movement of the book as Fishlegs removes it from Toothless' saddlebag and begins flipping through it, clearly ignoring Hiccup and Astrid's argument.

"You know what, Hiccup have it your way."

"Astrid, please you have to understand. There's no evidence."

In her frustration she stomps up to Fishlegs and snatches the book from his grasp, stuffs it into Stormfly's saddlebags, and flies out of the Academy.

Glad I know where she lives.
