You guys might hate me after this chapter

Arthur's steel wing attack landed flush on the Gengar. "Gen!", the ghost type was sent flying away from the Pokémon it had been attacking. Marcia was utterly confused as she looked around. A scowl had formed over the Righteous members face. "Who did that? Who decided to come and attack innocent ole me.", the vicious general of the Righteous looked around and then she saw it. A Skarmory and a rather tall brunette controlling it. Marcia cracked her neck as she did when she was irritated. "Little girl do you not understand who you just attacked?", the red head's voice was dripping with spite. JJ did not care, she was connected to Arthur and she wanted to take out all her aggression on the grunt. The woman that had started all of this nonsense. The woman that had ruined JJ's life. The beautiful brunette stared at Marcia and the injured Pokémon she was attacking. The sadistic red haired woman noticed that JJ's eyes were the same color of the Skarmory. This was battlebond which Marcia had come up against many times. She would put this little girl through so much pain now that she knew they were connected. "Oh and you think your little battlebond is going to help you? That's so adorable. Last time I faced a little bitch with battlebond before and sent her to the hospital.", Marcia laughed.

JJ clenched her fist. Marcia was talking about Ava who had become a friend. JJ wanted to kill this woman. It wouldn't be too bad as she was a terrorist. JJ could feel her and Arthur's rage as the Gengar got up and stared at Arthur. James, Jer, Andy, and Royce all had caught up to JJ and saw what was happening. Andy and Royce immediately recognized this woman as the one from Dexter's bar. They had fought against her, it was here where JJ had been hospitalized when she had sacrificed herself for Nikki. It was stupid to try and fight this woman now, JJ was in no condition mentally to fight a member of The Righteous. Even Royce looked concerned as he watched on, Andy had went to say something to his oldest friend yet was cut off. "Go away! All of you! This is between me and her. All this shit ends now!", JJ and Arthur looked at the others that had approached them. All of them could feel the rage coming off of JJ. None of them had known this from the female sure they knew she had been broken, but this was a whole new level. "Treat that damaged Pokémon that they were trying to kill.", JJ pointed to the prone hammerhead shark like Pokémon that was beached and highly damaged. James and Jer went over to take care of this injured Pokémon as Andy and Royce watched JJ battle. Arthur would lay down some steel spikes on the ground in front of Marcia's Gengar. This caused Marcia to laugh.

"You idiot, my Gengar won't be affected by your steel spikes. It can levitate.", oh this would be better than Marcia expected. This brunette female was an idiot. Probably the dumbest trainer that Marcia had ever encountered. Her Gengar, well it was really that freak Melody's Gengar, but she didn't mind was going to wipe this stupid Skarmory from the face of the earth. "Gengar use-", before Marcia could even get the words out Arthur had swooped in and grabbed the Gengar in his talons. The Gengar struggled against this, but Arthur only tightened his grip. Arthur could read JJ's thoughts and knew what she was thinking. Arthur bolted like a rocket towards the steel spikes. Arthur would drive the Gengar into the spikes as the Pokémon cried out in pain. "Gengar!", the steel spikes dig into the Pokémon's skin as it continued to cry out in pain. Marcia on the other hand did not care about the Pokémon. Just wanted to destroy the girl and her Skarmory. "You useless Gengar, get up and when that Skarmory swoops around again use shadow ball.", the injured Gengar got up as his body was in pain. Yet it waited for Arthur to swoop around again and the Gengar tried to use the ha down ball, but Arthur easily dodged it.

Arthur again delivered a steel wing attack to the Gengar which cried again. JJ watched as James and Jer were working on the shark like Pokémon. The creature though was not going back into the deep water. It was watching the battle. It's eyes seemed to be focused on JJ and Arthur, the Pokémon seemed to be doing better as Jer was using heals on it. The battlebonded JJ stared at Marcia, "see your plan is a failure. You couldn't kill another Pokémon. You sick little fuck. You people think that you can just go around and do whatever you want. You nearly killed a friend and you think that you guys can just roam around and do whatever you want. It ends here. I will stop you." Arthur seemed to roar as JJ's words echoed. JJ knew that Arthur was feeding off her rage and hate. This was fine with JJ. She was so sick of being the victim. So sick of the lies and being a chess piece in some fucked up game. She was going to take it into her hands now. "You think you fucks will just unleash chaos until the world then you are wrong! I will stop you even if I die, I am going to stop you.", JJ wanted to make amends for everything and that meant doing whatever she could to stop this red haired monster.

Arthur would again swoop in and grab the Gengar and drive it into the spikes as the poor Pokémon continued to cry out again from being driven into the spikes. Arthur looked back at JJ, he was so worried about his trainer. He could read her thoughts and they were dark. There was so much doubt and confusion. In fact there was hatred in her head as Arthur could see her thinking not about the battle, but about her uncle. She hated him still. Sure they had made up, but deep down she still was pissed at Davis for telling her all those lies. She felt manipulated by her uncle. If only he had told her the truth she could have helped him. Then there was Alex, Arthur could sense that JJ truly cared about him like she never had about a male. Yet she hated him because of what he had just done. Leaving her to essentially face The Righteous by himself and he had lied about where he was going. He didn't understand that he had broken JJ's trust by doing this and if he was going to die then she would be beyond broken. Lastly, there was Nikki. Arthur could sense that JJ hated what Nikki had become. That was why they had become so distant towards one another. Arthur could feel all of these emotions in himself because he was connected with his beloved trainer. That was why Arthur was being so vicious to the Gengar because JJ was so emotionally angry. Arthur felt that rage too amd was going to use it for his benefit.

The sadist in Marcia did not mind watching the Gengar get beat up. Again this wasn't her Pokémon, Marcia still remembered the cries of pain and helps from Melody when they had taken all of her Pokémon. She had taken the Gengar because it was a powerful ghost type. Apparently the leader of The Righteous had even taken her Corviknight that he know named Wrath. Perhaps that was why it always gave Marcia the creeps whenever she saw it on the screen. Marcia still fondly remembered those cries and it made her so giddy. So she did not mind that the Gengar was getting its ass kicked, but this tall female had interfered in her plane. This creature was a pseudo legendary in the islands and could probably lead her to one of the legendary creatures in Avantura. Of course the stupid Pokémon had decided to put up a fight which had ended up being a stupid choice. Marcia was trying to find out information from the Pokémon before this stupid girl got involved. Now this female was kicking her ass. Marcia knew that she had to change the flow of this battle. The Gengar could not land a shot on the Skarmory. But then an idea crept into Marcia's mind as she smirked it was time to use a blast from the past , "Gengar, use Corrosive Gas."

Arthur easily avoided the gas as JJ was confused about why Marcia had used this gas attack. Arthur was not going to be affected by it as he was flying high above the battle so why would this Righteous girl use the gas attack? But then JJ saw that the attack was not directed at Arthur, but her! The green gas surrounded JJ's feet as it slowly started to creep towards her. The brunette started to feel that the gas was surrounding her as a plume of gas completely covered her body. She could breath only the gas in as it filled her lungs. She started to cough uncontrollably as her head started to hurt. She could feel the burning in her lungs as gas filled them. This had happened to Ava before, but not as a direct attack. JJ couldn't see as her eyes were bright red and blurry. Her body swayed as she continued to cough and cough. The tall brunette dropped to her knees as her body shook and shook. She tried to cry out in pain, but no words came out. Only the wheezing from her lungs. She clawed at her chest as she felt that she was going to die. That she had failed once again. And was nothing, but a complete loser.

Arthur's gust from his wings sent the gas that covered JJ away as the tall girl was in a heap on the ground. She kept trying to breathe in the fresh air as Marcia laughed. "Just like that other stupid little girl. Did she suffer a lot? I heard that her lungs were torched just like yours are. Oh what pleasure this gives me.", she looked over at Gengar. Oh yes, Marcia wasn't finished just yet. No she was going to torture this tall brat to death in front of all her friends. Let this be a lesson. "Gengar, use shadow punch on this girl.", the Gengar looked horrified. He didn't want to hurt this female anymore. He still remembered what had happened to Melody and didn't want to replicate that. Yet the look on Marcia's face even scared the Gengar, she had been abusive to him in different ways. If he didn't follow her orders then there was no telling what Marcia would do to him if he didn't follow through with her commands. Gengar's right hand glowed purple as the poor brunette girl stood up weakly. Her legs were unstable and the Gengar sadly delivered the punch to her stomach. The girl cried out in pain as she collapsed again. The skarmory flew down and spread his wings to protect JJ. Meanwhile Marcia just laughed.

Andy and Royce were about to call out their Pokémon when Marcia looked at them. The pure wickedness of her intentions was on her face. "Oh no no, you two can't participate yet. I have to take care of your stupid friend over here. Then we'll party.", the arrogance was all over her face. She watched as the girl's friends looked at the crumbled heap that was this arrogant female. Marcia could see and hear that the girl was crying from the pain. Oh those whimper of failure from the girl was music to Marcia's ears. Another satisfied customer to Marcia's little game. Marcia skipped over to the crumbled heap of the girl followed by the Gengar. "Oh look at you trying to be the hero. Just like that little bitch of your friend. She suffered just like you are. But she had someone to protect her. No one is here to help you out. You are going to die in front of your friends. Such a same because you are beautiful. Oh well such a loss.", Marcia stared at the girl's skarmory ready to deliver the final blow to her. Another shadow punch should do it. Except something would happen that Marcia did not expect.

JJ was in so much pain. This sick freak couldn't hurt Arthur so she had decided to attack JJ. Jessica had to take this as a compliment, she knew that she was a strong trainer and this was a compliment to that. She would laugh at this if she wasn't in so much pain. 'My lungs are so fucked. I took in so much gas. I am done after this. Ribs are busted again after that punch. But I can't give up. I have to stop her.', She knew if she didn't get medical attention soon she'd probably die. Yet she knew that she had to continue to protect the injured Pokémon and take done this Righteous member. JJ started to get up to her to knees. She shook her head to shake the cobwebs from her head. JJ smirked at the idiotic member of The Righteous, "that all you have? Can't beat me in battle so you have to attack me. I should take this as a compliment." She would have laughed, but she would have passed out from pain. Still JJ had to be defiant in the face of the corrupt bitch in front of her. The tall brunette staggered to her feet still with a smirk. She wouldn't let her beat up body betray her. "I've already won. I made you attack me and made you completely forget about that Pokémon you were trying to kill. It's safe now and you can't hurt it anymore. So I a, sorry that I ruined your party.", JJ put a hand on Arthur to steady herself. She was fully prepared to die as she had completed her mission. "I've already been through so much pain already so your little attacks don't bother me. Everything is safe.", she also figured if she could distract the Righteous member then Nikki would be safe too. She prepared for the Gengar to strike her one last time.

But it didn't come in fact, JJ heard the Gengar cry out in pain. JJ looked and saw that James and Jer were in aw as the hammerhead shark like Pokémon had sent a steel beam attack that pierced into the body of the Gengar. The Pokémon looked down at the beam of energy that pierced its stomach. "Gen?", the Gengar then fainted as the red haired Marcia fumed. "What in the ever loving fuck.", her dead black eyes stared at the Pokémon she had nearly killed. The veins in her neck started to pop out as her face was filled with rage. Marcia was so sick of these stupid Pokémon that were useless to her. She had thought that this was going to be easy. Afterall she had easily taken out the pseudo legendary Pokémon that she had come after, but this brunette bitch had been a thorn in Marcia's side. Now the Gengar had collapsed and was useless. She looked at disgust at the brunette and all her little friends. "You idiots, you have no idea what you have done. We are trying to save Avantura. Yet here you come and keep interfering with what we are doing. This Pokémon is the key to helping us unlock a Pokémon that can return Avantura to her glory. Now you have screwed it all up. You outsiders will never understand what you have screwed up.", Marcia snarled.

JJ had enough of all of this. Plus, she knew that she needed some medical attention so she wanted to spend this. She was still connected to Arthur and knew there was one last thing to do. Arthur stared at his beloved trainer. JJ had raised Arthur since he was just a little baby Skarmory in her parents nursery. He had been a much bigger Pokémon that had hatched from the egg. So he had been very awkward not unlike JJ who had been a klutz in her early teen years. JJ wasn't supposed to have favorites in terms of her Pokémon, but she couldn't deny that she had favored Arthur. That was why they had become so connected to Arthur. They were now forever connected and knew each other in and out. The fact that JJ was in so much pain had upset Arthur so much. He just wanted to help his beloved trainer. So he was ready to give the final blow to Marcia. JJ nodded at Arthur as the Skarmory's head started to glow white. JJ and Arthur were ready to finish this and end Marcia herself. But that was cut off by a hand on JJ's shoulder that seemed to relax JJ. She looked and saw staring back at her was a blonde man that looked like Dexter, but with longer hair. This was confirmed as his Kommo-O, Klaus, had jumped in front of Arthur and waved his arms. JJ could feel her body finally give out.

"Whoa there JJ. You need to get to get medical help. Luckily I keep a Nurse Joi on payroll. We'll take care of you. It's a good thing that I decided to come take a walk with Klaus here and saw your little battle going on.", Dexter pressed his body to JJ to keep her upright. JJ put an arm around Dexter as her body finally gave out. She knew she couldn't walk or stand without help so she was glad that Dexter was there. The other four trainers fell in behind Dexter to help JJ. The pseudo legendary Pokémon had returned to the water, but kept watching the brunette female. It had settled in the shallow portion of the water as it just watched what was going on. It's hammerhead shaped heads with what appeared to be chains attached only had eyes for JJ. Dexter continued to hold JJ as the brunette female weakly mumbled that she had to find Nikki. Dexter continued to hold JJ up, "I know where she is. But right now there's someone else I have to deal with.", Dexter's blue eyes focused solely on The Righteous member that was trying to escape as everyone was distracted by Dexter's arrival. Dexter smiled as Klaus moved in front of Marcia and cut off her escape.

"Now, Now we cant have you trying to leave. I have many different questions for you. Especially since you destroyed my bar.", oh yes Dexter knew this was the same young woman that had tried to invite him into The Righteous before he politely declined.if anyone knew where Melody was it would be this female. He could question her and find out where his sister was. If anyone knew where Melody was it would be here. Dexter had always wanted to try and capture a Righteous member, but he never had the chance. Now he did. Dexter looked back at the four confused male students, "boys do me a favor, take this red head and grab her. Take her Gengar as well. I'll show you where I am staying in a little bit. But first we have to take care your friend here.", Dexter could feel that JJ was burning up. Ava had told him that JJ had spent weeks in the hospital and was more susceptible to infection so he worried that she was having a reaction. He had secretly texted the Nurse Joi to meet at the location before he had decided to step into help JJ. James had recalled the passed out Gengar and handed the ball to Klaus.

Dexter had started to take JJ up the beach when they all heard a loud echoing voice. "WAVEREN!", the hammerhead shark Pokémon had again beached itself. But this time it was just staring at JJ, the weak brunette started to crank her head towards the Pokémon. It's white eyes just stared back at her, "Dexter, it's calling me. I have to go see it. Please, I can go to the fucking hospital later. Please I feel like I need to do this." Her voice was so weak and Dexter could hear her struggling to breathe. He wanted to tell her no, but he could also feel that she was struggling against him. Dexter had to admit that this female was quite brave and ballsy. It was quite impressive given that she had just taken a physical beating from a Pokémon. Plus she had battlebond which meant she was a hell of a trainer. Dexter had to respect her moxie. She reminded him of a bit of Ava in her stubbornness. Finally Dexter nodded though he insisted that they could only stay for about five minutes. He was worried about her health and she needed help ASAP.

Dexter brought JJ over to where the Pokémon was. He plopped her down though he had his doubts about all of this. He knew this Pokémon from the myths he had heard. It was vicious and not even he would try to mess with it. JJ showed no signs of fear or worry. Yes, the Pokémon did look quite terrifying in the sense that this was a friggan hammerhead shaped Pokémon. It's eyes were on its side of its head and it was black and grey. The Pokémon was showing it's teeth, but that was probably because it had taken a beating earlier from the terrorist. It probably didn't trust JJ so why did it want JJ to come over to it? JJ carefully extended her right hand and stroked the scales of the Pokémon. It's skin was hardened by the sharp scales, but weirdly it was smooth. JJ could feel where the Pokémon had not been healed which made JJ frown. This poor Pokémon would have scars from where Marcia had attacked it. It pissed JJ off as she launched into a bit of a coughing fit. Dexter and the Pokémon looked worried, but JJ calmed herself. "Dexter, what is this Pokémon?", JJ asked the former champion of Avantura.

"It's a Waveren. It's a pseudo legendary that has made its home in these islands. It's been around even before the early families moved into Avantura. It was said to be a vicious and ruthless Pokémon. It attacks humans and Pokémon indiscriminately. It's a nightmare of a Pokémon. Though it typically only resides in the deep sea. It's said that the Waveren guards the undersea lair of the hydra of Avantura.", so that was why the Righteous had wanted to try and hurt the ancient Pokémon. Because it held the clues to one of the legendary Pokémon of Avantura. Dexter looked at how the Pokémon was just looking at JJ. How it was allowing her to stroke its scales. Everything Dexter knew about the Waveren had said that this Pokémon was vicious and hated humans. That it had a natural distrust of trainers and humans yet here was JJ just sitting here and stroking the Pokémon. It was clear that she had earned the trust of the Pokémon. It was quite odd as Dexter had never seen anything like this. It was clear that this Pokémon trainer was absolutely special. Dexter had to respect the younger brunette.

"Waveren Waveren Wave!", the shark Pokémon flopped around as its gaze turned to Klaus. It was talking to the Kommo-O who looked back at Dexter. Dexter knew that look on Klaus' face. He had just learned something very important. Klaus walked over to his trainer and whispered in his ear. Dexter could only laugh as this got the attention of JJ. The attractive brunette tilted her head and raised her eyebrows at the blonde former champion of Avantura. "He told Klaus that he wants you to catch him. He appreciates that you are such a strong trainer. That you have honor and actually care about Pokémon. You aren't here for evil gain instead you're here for a true kind purpose. He can also sense that there is internal conflict within you. That you are in so much pain. He wants to help you with that. He wants to bring you peace and tranquillity.", JJ was stunned. She didn't know what to say or do. This ancient Pokémon was asking her to capture him. To come join her. She just wished she knew where Nikki was so they could share in this moment. Still JJ grabbed a dive ball and presses it to the ancient Pokémon's head. It was an instant catch which brought a smile to JJ's head as her eyes then rolled in the back of her head.

Dexter and the others had rushed JJ to Dexter's private hideout. Of course the others were amazed about what they were seeing. They had initially been frightened of the shack and doubted Dexter's true intentions. But once they got inside they were just amazed as Nikki had been. Nikki and Guzma had gone on Nikki's training so they weren't there. Dexter's shack had a little medical room in case he needed it. That was where the Nurse Joi was waiting. Everyone waited and waited to see if JJ was going to be ok. Andy was devesatsted and so was Royce who was fond of his classmate. Even Dexter had come to admire the brave female trainer. He hoped she would be ok. Three hours later, the Nurse Joi came out with a solemn look on her face and shook her head. She looked at all of them, "I don't know if your friend is going to make it. She's stable now, but she can't breathe on her own. Her lungs are very damaged. Poor thing took a pounding in that battle. And according to Dexter, her spleen was removed so she's at very high risk of infection. You may want to prepare to say your final goodbyes unless a miscue happens."

Everyone broke down into tears and hoped to Arceus something would change.
