Hi everyone, what's up? I apologize for the long wait for the second chapter, but the fight scenes are honestly very hard and trying to think up new ways for Huntress's fighting style is proving difficult as well. Anyway, I'm just gonna get straight to answering reviews because I'm honestly tired with this right now.
OdeClock: I am glad to hear that you're enjoying this. I hope to make sure you continue to enjoy this story as I continue on.
CydrikSpider: No, in fact I decided to pair her with Fujin from Mortal Kombat.
HeroWitch: I will.
Gundamfreedom0: I'm not gonna pair Huntress with Shazam, okay? Also the reason why I asked is because circumstances made the two universes remembering those events very difficult.
jdkeller2000: If you're talking about Batgirl, then thanks, that helps. But I need to know when this happens so that I can figure out a way to involve her in the story.
That's all the reviews answered for now. I'd also like to ask anyone for help with Huntress's fighting style to help improve it later on and for Injustce 2 and Mortal Kombat 11. For now, enjoy the chapter.
Chapter 2: A sort of family reunion.
The night was cold with stars twinkling above Gotham City with many lights on, but it wasn't as peaceful as it looked. Standing at the edge of a rooftop was Huntress, who was looking around her home city with wide eyes. She recognized some things, but a few things were missing. For instance, the Bat Symbol wasn't in the sky above the city and she didn't see any Gotham Police officers around. Huntress looked down with a concerned look on her face, worried about what has happened here.
A day has passed since Huntress was teleported to this world with her father and the Joker and learned about this world. She still couldn't believe what she found out about what happened to Metropolis, Superman, her father and the heroes her godfather has killed. She spent the night in a hotel, before she left the next morning to travel to her home town. She had just arrived and wasn't expecting what she was seeing.
"What happened here? Why is everything so different now?" The daughter of the Bat and the Cat questioned with a concerned frown on her face, wondering why her home seemed so different than last time she was here. Her thoughts then changed to her family, getting her concerned as she placed her right hand on her comlink in her right ear.
"Dad, Alfred, you there? Mom, Dick, Barbara, Kate, Tim? Anyone?" The 15-year-old girl said in a concerned tone, getting worried as all she heard was static. The teenage girl took her right hand away from her comlink and looked up at the sky in concern. 'I thought that coming here would help me contact mom, dad and everyone else, but nothing's changed. Guess I better go with the last option and head home. Hopefully, everyone's back there, safe and sound'. Huntress thought to herself as she looked forward and narrowed her eyes.
Huntress leaned forward and fell off the rooftop, falling towards the ground with a calm look on her face. The daughter of the Bat and the Cat grabbed the ends of her cape, before she spread them out like wings and glided through the air, heading towards her home. However, that was when she took notice of a commotion happening in an alleyway. "What's going on over there?" The teenage girl questioned as she changed directions and landed on the top of a rooftop.
Huntress walked over to the edge and knelt down, looking down at the alleyway before her. She saw somekind of club sign down below before an open street and cars parked nearby, but that wasn't what caught her attention the most. There was a crowd of people surrounding a platform that had a wooden guillotine with an adult man strapped onto it. Standing next to the platform were two people that Huntress was most shocked at seeing.
It was Bane and Nightwing, but they looked so different compared to what they looked like yesterday. Bane was wearing a ripped orange prison uniform with his venom injection system on his bare chest. He also had metal protection on his arms and legs. But it was Nightwing who looked the most different. He had long brown hair, a red version of the Nightwing costume, matching shoulder guards, and a new set of metallic armor.
'Is that Dick? Why's he with Bane? And why does it look like this is somekind of public execution?' Huntress thought to herself with wide eyes, shocked at what she was seeing with her own eyes. She watched as Nightwing stepped forward to the scared crowds of citizens and raised his right hand.
"This man before you all here is guilty of robbery and resisting arrest. He has broken the law, and is now a criminal. For the world to remain at peace, all criminals must be dealt with no mercy. For everything to remain at peace, we must kill off the cancer of this world. We must kill all criminals, no matter who they are, or what kind of crime they've committed. Anyone that breaks the law shall receive no mercy and will be killed!" Nightwing announced to the crowd of people watching, causing them to start whispering to each other, but most of them looked afraid of what is to happen.
Huntress widened her eyes at hearing Nightwing's words, unable to believe what she just heard from him. 'What? What's wrong with Dick? He'd never kill anyone, so why is he acting like this?' The daughter of the Bat and the Cat thought to herself in disbelief at hearing her 'brother's' words. The teenage girl stayed in the shadows atop the building and continued to watch the events take place.
The man trapped in the wooden guillotine struggled to get out, but failed to do so. The man looked up at Nightwing with a pleading look on his face. "Please, I beg you! My family and I were starving! I know what I did was wrong, but we-!" The man pleaded, only to be silenced as Nightwing shot around and punched him in the face, making Huntress gasp at seeing this.
Nightwing's punch had knocked some teeth out of the man's mouth and he was now bleeding. "Shut your mouth! People who disobey the law are a cancer, and all cancers will be disposed of so that the world will be at peace. You broke the law, now you'll die like the criminal you are!" Nightwing told the adult man, before he brought out his Eskrima Sticks and brought them together, creating his staff.
Nightwing proceeded to walk to the man's left side, before he held his staff up, intending to bring it down and snap the man's neck. Upon seeing this, Huntress decided to take action. "Ahh screw this! Time for some action!" Huntress exclaimed as she stood up, before she took hold of her crossbow with her right hand and brought it out of her belt's sleeve. She quickly took aim, before she fired an arrow at Nightwing.
The arrow soared through the air as it drew closer to Nighting, who was bringing his staff down to snap the man's neck. However, just before he made contact with the man's neck, the arrow struck his right elbow and exploded, blowing Nightwing off the platform and slamming him onto the ground, knocking him unconscious as he lost his grip on his staff.
The sudden attack made all the people watching gasp in shock, while the man in the wooden guillotine sighed in relief. Bane, who had been watching with his arms crossed, gasped in surprise as he ran over to the edge of the platform and looked down at the unconscious Nightwing. Seeing Bane distracted, Huntress placed her crossbow back in her sleeve, before she leaped off the rooftop towards Bane, spreading her cape out like wings to glide through the air. "Who dares to...?" Bane began as he turned around, only to be cut off as Huntress kicked him straight on the face with her boots, sending the giant of a man off the platform and onto the street below. Huntress landed on the platform on her feet gracefully with a smirk on her face.
She quickly turned towards the man in the guillotine and walked towards him. Huntress brought out her metal rode, and with a flick of her wrist, extended it into a metal pole. She took hold of her metal pole with both her hands, before she brought it down on the wooden guillotine, snapping the blade off and freeing the man. "Now's your chance! Go!" Huntress told the man as she helped him up with her right hand, while she kept a hold of her metal pole with her left hand.
"Thank you… thank you so much". The man thanked the daughter of the Bat and the Cat, crying tears of joy as Huntress lead him down the platform. "It's okay, just go". Huntress told the man with a comforting voice as he ran off, along with the rest of the audience. The daughter of the Bat and the Cat watched the people disappear from the street, safe and sound, before an enraged cry came out from above her.
Quickly, Huntress leaped to the left, just barely dodging Bane crashing onto the ground that she was standing on, causing the ground to crack and kick up debris. Huntress spun around in mid-air to turn to face Bane as she slid against the ground a bit, before stopping 10 feet away from the giant of a man as he rose up and turned to face her. Upon seeing her, Bane gasped in a mix of shock and disbelief.
"Dios mío. How is this possible? You should be dead?" Bane questioned the daughter of the Bat and the Cat as he and Huntress began circling around each other, getting her to frown in confusion. "What are you talking about?" Huntress questioned the giant of a man, wondering what happened to make Bane think she was dead.
"Do not play the fool with me! Wonder Woman herself dealt with you when she snapped your neck!" Bane exclaimed as he pointed his right hand towards Huntress, making her widen her eyes and gasp in horror as she stopped circling around. "You're lying! Diana would never do that!" Huntress snapped at Bane as she shook her head, refusing to believe that her godmother would ever do that to her.

"I don't know what act you're playing, but one thing is certain. I'll be taking you to Superman". Bane said to the daughter of the Bat and the Cat, before he took his battle stance. Huntress narrowed her eyes, before she took her stance as well. Huntress charged at Bane, swinging her metal pole in a combo attack. She first swung her metal pole at the giant of a man's waist, making Bane cry out in pain, before she palm struck him in the chin and followed it up with a roundhouse kick with her right leg, sending the villain off his feet and to the ground.
Bane got back on his feet and took his stance. Huntress leaped at Bane, but that gave him a chance. He grabbed Huntress's left leg with his right hand, before he grabbed her left shoulder with his remaining hand. He lifted Huntress off the ground and above him, before he threw her onto the ground, making the teenage girl gasp in pain. She quickly got back up on her feet, but before she could counterattack, Bane struck again.
He brought up his giant left arm, before he brought it down on Huntress, slamming her into the ground and bouncing off it, with Bane following up by spinning around and brining his left fist up on the airborne teenager, launching her higher into the air, before she slammed onto the ground on her chest.
Huntress quickly got back on her feet. She jumped into the air, before she brought out her crossbow with her left hand and fired a grappling arrow at Bane. The arrow pierced the giant of a man's stomach, making him cry out in pain. Huntress quickly pressed a button on her crossbow, causing the device to start retracting the grappling hook attached to her arrow and pulling her to Bane. Thinking fast, Huntress held her left foot out and kicked Bane once she was in close contact, sending the villain sliding across the ground and pulling the arrow out of his skin.
Bane laid down on the ground for a moment, before getting back up on his feet. Huntress landed on her feet and returned her crossbow to the sleeve attached to her utility belt. Bane roared out as he brought his hands up, before he began to charge at Huntress, but she grabbed hold of her cape with her left hand and used it to block and stop Bane's charge.
Quickly, Huntress swung her metal pole, striking Bane's left waist, before twirling around to slam her pole into the criminal's right waist. She followed up by elbowing Bane in the stomach with her left arm, before slamming the back of her fist into the giant of a man's face, sending him sliding across the ground.
Bane got back on his feet, before he jumped towards Huntress with his left foot out, kicking the teenage girl's face and pushing her black with blood coming out. Bane landed behind the daughter of the Bat and the Cat, before he turned around and began an assault. First, he pounded Huntress with his left hand, before he brought his right fist down on her, slamming her into the ground and bouncing off of it.
Bane brought his right fist up at the mid-air Justice League member, striking her back and making her spin in the air. He grabbed hold of Huntress's head with both his hands, before he slammed her down to the ground, causing a small shockwave. Bane finished it up by sliding her across the ground, before Huntress bounced against the ground and laid down on her stomach. Bane flexed his muscles with his poison showing in his veins.
Huntress got back up on her feet and retook her stance. The teenage girl brought out her crossbow again and fired an armored arrow at the ground in front Bane. The arrow beeped 3 times, before exploding and sending Bane into the air. He slammed into the air, while Huntress quickly leaped towards him. Bane soon got back up on his feet, and Huntress quickly acted.
She grabbed hold of him with her left hand. She brought him close, before she took hold of her metal pole and swung it twice, hitting him on the face twice. Huntress spun left as she swung her pole below Bane's feet, knocking him off balance as he began to fall backwards, but the teenage girl wasn't finished yet as she kicked his back with her left foot, sending him sliding across the ground, causing a small shockwave as he bounced against the ground a bit before landing on his stomach.
"Eat your heart out, Green Arrow". Huntress said with a smirk as she checked her crossbow out for a moment, before returning it to her belt's sleeve as Bane got back on his feet. Bane roared out as he brought his hands up, before he began to charge at Huntress, slamming her into the ground, but she quickly recovered and turned around to face the criminal.
She brought out her crossbow with her left hand and fired three different arrows, striking Bane three times and pushing him back. Huntress then fired a grappling arrow from her crossbow at Bane, which wrapped around him. Huntress then turned around, using her enhanced metahuman strength to lift Bane off the ground and slam him onto the ground.
Huntress began walking up to Bane as he got up on his feet, before he grabbed Huntress's left leg with his right hand, and then grabbed her left shoulder with his remaining hand. He lifted Huntress off the ground and above him, before he threw her onto the ground. The daughter of the Bat and the Cat quickly recovered, getting back on her feet and retaking her stance.
The 15-year-old girl knelt down to the ground as Bane advanced towards her, but when he was close enough, Huntress swung her metal pole with both hands into his chin, sending him flying off the ground and into the air, before he crashed landed onto his back. The giant of a man got back on his feet, but the teenage girl then jumped up in front of him, before she locked her legs around Bane's head.
Huntress flipped backwards before she slammed Bane to the ground with her legs and landed on her hands, her metal pole still in her right hand, before she front flipped onto her feet and took her stance. The villain stood up on his feet and glared at Huntress, his rage radiating off him.
With a burst of green energy behind him, Bane slammed his right hand onto the venom injection system on his bare chest, before he gave out a battle cry. He charged forward and tried to grab hold of Huntress, but she jumped into the air, causing Bane to miss. Huntress landed on her feet and turned to face Bane, who turned to face her as well.
With a burst of purple energy around her, Huntress gave out a cry as she spun her metal pole around her right arm before taking hold of it with both her hands. Huntress swung her metal pole at Bane's face, knocking him back a few feet before throwing her weapon at the giant's face. The metal pole struck Bane's face, before it was launched into the air.
Huntress brought out her crossbow with her left hand and fired three different arrows at Bane. The first made an explosion when it made contact; the second unleashed a supersonic boom that pushed the giant of a man back and the last one pierced venom injection system. Huntress then aimed her crossbow at her airborne metal pole and fired her grappling arrow at it. The grappling arrow wrapped around the metal pole, before Huntress began moving her left hand around, swinging her metal pole twice at Bane and striking him twice.
Huntress then swung her crossbow down, stabbing her metal pole into the ground, before the grappling arrow unwrapped around it and returned to her crossbow. The 15-year-old female returned her crossbow to her belt's sleeve, before she began cart whirling towards her metal pole. Once Huntress was close enough, she launched herself into the air.
While spinning in midair, Huntress grabbed her metal pole with both her hands and pulled it out the ground, before she gave out a cry as she slammed the end of her weapon on top of Bane's head, sending him sliding across the ground while Huntress gracefully landed on her feet and retook her stance.
(Music end)
Bane rose to his feet, only to fall to his butt with his right arm sporting him, while his left arm was on his left knee. Huntress narrowed her eyes as she turned her metal pole back into a metal rode and placed it away in her utility belt. "Now get back up. I still got some questions for you". The daughter of the Bat and the Cat told the criminal, before she began walking towards Bane.
The giant of a man was taking deep breaths as Huntress approached, before he looked up and glared at her. He shot up onto his feat and leaped towards her, but Huntress saw it coming. She spun around and thrust her right foot out, slamming her heel into Bane's face. The force behind Huntress's kick shot Bane off of his feet and sent him slamming onto the ground on his back, unconscious. The newest Justice League member brought her right foot down and looked at the unconscious criminal with narrowed eyes.
"One thing's the same; you're all brawn and no brain". Huntress stated, before she began walking towards Bane once more. However, something then shoulder tackled her from the right, sending her crashing onto the ground on her right side. She groaned as she placed her hands on the ground, before she pushed herself off of it and looked up at who just shoulder tackled her.
To her horror, it was Nightwing, who was now wide awake, looking down at her with a sneer and was wielding his Eskrima Sticks. Huntress stared up at Nightwing with wide eyes of horror, before she stood up fully on her feet. "Dick, just what's going on?" Huntress questioned her 'brother', making Nightwing lose his murderous glare and replace it with a confused frown.
"What?" Nightwing questioned in return, now confused himself. "Why are you with Bane? Why were you trying to kill someone? Why has Superman killed people, even our friends? And why has dad's secret identity been revealed to the world? Where's mum, Tim, Barbara and Alfried? Just what is going on here?" Huntress further questioned her 'brother' with a crossover look of concern and confusion, hoping that Nightwing could answer her questions.
Nightwing just looked at Huntress with a confused look, before he dropped it and glared at her with murderous intent. "I don't know what game you're playing at, Bertinelli…" Nightwing began, getting Huntress to grow an even more confused look than before. 'Bertinelli?' The daughter of the Bat and the Cat thought to herself in confusion, having never heard of that name before.

"But I do know one thing…" The red armoured male continued, regaining Huntress's attention as she looked back at him. "…I'm taking you to Superman!" Nightwing finished, before he took his battle stance. Huntress brought out her metal pole and took her battle stance as well. Nightwing immediately brought his Eskrima Sticks together, creating their combined staff form, before he took his second stance.
Nightwing jumped into the air and landed in front of Huntress. He took a hold of his combined Eskrima Sticks and thrust it at Huntress's face, striking her and drawing blood. Quickly, he draw it back and stuck Huntress's foot, causing her to recoil back. Nightwing spun his staff in his left hand as its electricity activated and slammed the end of it into the ground. Electricity danced across the ground towards Huntress and struck her, pushing her back further.
Quickly regaining control, Huntress retook her stance. Nightwing jumped into the air, before Huntress jumped as well. She swung her metal pole forward, striking Nightwing's face and sending him crashing onto the ground on his back. Huntress landed on her feet as Nightwing got back on his, before he separated his staff back into his Eskrima Sticks.
Nightwing jumped into the air once more and flipped in mid-air, before he began to fell towards Huntress with his feet out. He stuck her head and smashed her onto the ground on her front with Nightwing stepping back. She quickly recovered and got back on her feet. Huntress reached out with her left hand and grabbed hold of Nightwing. She brought him close, before she took hold of her metal pole and swung it twice, hitting him on the face twice.
Huntress spun left and swung her pole below Nightwing's feet, knocking him off balance as he began to fall backwards, but the teenage girl wasn't finished yet as she kicked his back with her left foot, sending him sliding across the ground.
Nightwing crashed onto the ground on his back, while Huntress retook her stance. Quick as lightning, Huntress drew her crossbow fired an armored arrow at the ground in front Nightwing as he got back to his feet. The arrow beeped 3 times, before it exploded and sent Nightwing into the air. He crashed onto the ground again, but quickly got back on his feet.
Huntress began walking towards Nightwing, who crouched down as she came closer. Soon Huntress was in front of Nightwing, but he acted before she could attack. He struck her with his left Eskrima Stick, stunning her, before he swung his right Eskrima Stick at her face, sending her into the air. Finally, Nightwing threw a small explosive at Huntress, which exploded on her and sent her slightly higher into the air.
Nightwing quickly began walking towards Huntress as she crashed onto the ground. She got back onto her feet, but that gave Nighting the perfect opportunity to continue his assault. With a burst of light purple energy, Nightwing cried out as his Eskrima Sticks surged with electricity, before he slammed them into Huntress, pushing her back a little bit.
Nightwing then jumped into the air and gave out a cry as his blades on his gauntlets surged with electricity, before he fell and landed on his motorcycle. Nightwing drove his motorcycle past Huntress, but slashed at her with his gauntlets, making her cry out. Nighting then proceeded to drive back and forth at Huntress, repeatedly slashing her with his electric surged gauntlets.
Eventually, Nightwing decided to finish it. He drove towards Huntress forward, but this time he jumped into the air. His motorcycle drove past Huntress as she was in a daze, before she snapped out of it and looked up at Nightwing. He brought out his electrified staff and spun it above his head with both his hands, before he stopped spinning it and slammed it into Huntress's chest, making her cry out in pain. She shot out and slide across the ground, while Nightwing took his second stance with his electric staff.
A small shockwave came off of Huntress as she lay on the ground, while Nightwing brought his Eskrima Sticks in front of him and waved them around, before retaking a stance. Huntress climbed back onto her feet and took her stance. Nightwing leaped towards Huntress, but the teenage girl then jumped up in front of him, before she locked her legs around Nightwing's head.
Huntress flipped backwards before she slammed Nightwing to the ground with her legs and landed on her hands, her metal pole still in her right hand, before she front flipped onto her feet and took her stance. Nightwing climbed back onto his feet and retook his stance. He leaped forward and thrust his right Eskrima Stick out, but Huntress used her cape to block the strike. Quickly, Huntress swung her metal pole, striking Nightwing's left waist, before twirling around to slam her pole into his right waist. She followed up by elbowing Nightwing in the stomach with her left arm, before slamming the back of her fist into the long haired male's face, sending him sliding across the ground, causing a small shockwave as he stopped 5 feet away from the daughter of the Bat and the Cat.
"Eat your heart out, Green Arrow". Huntress said with a smirk as she checked her crossbow out for a moment, before returning it to her belt's sleeve as Nightwing got back on his feet. Nightwing leaped towards Huntress, but that gave her the perfect opportunity. With a burst of purple energy around her, Huntress gave out a cry as she spun her metal pole around her right arm before taking hold of it with both her hands. Huntress swung her metal pole at Nightwing's face, knocking him back a few feet, before she threw her weapon at his face. The metal pole struck Nightwing's face, before it was launched into the air.
Huntress brought out her crossbow with her left hand and fired three different arrows at Nightwing. The first made an explosion when it made contact; the second unleashed a supersonic boom that pushed him back and the last one pierced through his suit. Huntress then aimed her crossbow at her airborne metal pole and fired her grappling arrow at it. The grappling arrow wrapped around the metal pole, before Huntress began moving her left hand around sideways, swinging her metal pole twice at Nightwing and striking him twice.
Huntress then swung her crossbow down, stabbing her metal pole into the ground. The grappling arrow then unwrapped around the metal pole and returned to her crossbow. The 15-year-old female returned her crossbow to her belt's sleeve, before she began cart whirling towards her metal pole. Once Huntress was close enough, she launched herself into the air.
While spinning in midair, Huntress grabbed her metal pole with both her hands and pulled it out the ground. Huntress gave out a cry as she slammed the end of her weapon on top of Nightwing's head, sending him sliding across the ground while Huntress gracefully landed on her feet and retook her stance. Nightwing climbed back onto his feet as Huntress leaped closer towards him.
Huntress began walking towards Nightwing as he climbed back onto his feet. Nightwing then reached out and grabbed hold of Huntress's shoulders. He brought her closer, before he literally climbed over her, kneeing her face and drawing blood, before he spun around in a ball in mid-air. As he fell, Nightwing thrust his feet at her face, landing a strong kick that pushed her off of her feet. Huntress crashed into the ground, while Nighting landed safely on his hands, before he jumped back onto his feet. Huntress climbed back onto her feet and took her stance once more, only now looked a bit annoyed.
Nightwing slammed his Eskrima Sticks against each other, creating an electric charge, before slamming them on the ground, sending the charge towards Huntress, but she jumped into the air to dodge. The daughter of the bat and the cat landed on her feet, before she leaped towards Nightwing to get closer. Huntress slide down the ground and kicked under Nightwing's legs, launching him off the ground, crying out in surprise before he slammed onto the ground with Huntress retaking her stance behind him.
Nightwing climbed back onto his feet, before he turned around to face Huntress. He jumped into the air towards her, before kicking his feet out towards her, but the daughter of the bat and the cat held her metal pole in front of her and blocked the kick. Nightwing landed in front of Huntress, who swung her metal pole at the red armor vigilante's waist, making Nightwing cry out in pain, before she palm struck him in the chin and followed it up with a roundhouse kick with her right leg, sending the former Teen Titan member off his feet and crashing onto the ground on his back, along with giving off a shockwave.
(Music end)
Nightwing rose up to his feet, before falling down to his back on the ground, groaning in defeat, then fell unconscious. Seeing that she was victories, Huntress dropped her stance and looked down at her 'brother' in sadness. "…Just why, Dick?" The daughter of the Bat and the Cat said in sadness, before she began walking towards Nightwing's unconscious body. Soon, she stopped right in front of her 'brother'.
She looked down at her 'brother' with pure sadness and confusion in her eyes. "Why did you fight me? Why were you with Bane? Why were you trying to kill someone? Why… just why has everything gone wrong?" Huntress questioned in confusion, knowing full well that she won't be receiving an answer. The daughter of the Bat and the Cat continued to stare down at her 'brother' for a few moments, before she walked over to his left side.
She knelt down to her right knee, before she reached out towards Nightwing's mask with her right hand, intending to take his mask off to look at his face. Right when her hand was about to touch the mask, something then wrapped around her neck tightly from behind, making Huntress gasp as her air supply was cut off. Huntress was then pulled away from Nightwing, even pulled off of the ground and thrown towards the ground.
Huntress slammed and bounced off of the ground, before she slide across it on her back. She groaned in pain with her eyes closed, her left hand laying on the ground, while her right hand still held her metal pole. "That came… out of nowhere…" The daughter of the bat and the cat groaned out as she sat up from the ground, before she opened her eyes and looked at who just whiplashed her.
Huntress widened her eyes and gasped in shock upon who she saw. Standing 10 feet away from her was her mother, Selene Kyle, A.K.A Catwoman. Only, she was wearing a costume that Huntress had never seen before. She was wearing a purple leotard and leggings, a purple cowl with ornamental cat's eyes, and short rubber gloves. She was also carrying a smaller backpack than the normal one that Huntress sees her carry and was wearing clawed gauntlets. The former queen of the criminal underworld had her whip in her right hand, showing that she was the one that whiplashed Huntress.
Catwoman smirked at Huntress's disbelief look on her face as she waved her whip around. "Surprised to see me Bertinelli? Especially on Superman's side? Don't have time for an explanation; just tell me where Batman is!" Catwoman told the younger female with a sly smirk, mistaking her disbelief look for something else. Huntress continued to stare up at her mother in disbelief, but before it turned into relief to see her.
Her lips trembled as she struggled to speak, feeling deep relief from seeing her mother safe and sound. "M-M-M…" The daughter of the bat and the cat struggled to say, getting Catwoman to raise an eyebrow at her. Huntress slowly climbed up to her feet, keeping her eyes locked on her mother. "M-Mum…" Huntress weakly spoke, making Catwoman slowly, but surely widen her eyes in complete shock.
"…what?" The former Queen of the criminal underworld whispered in shock at what she just heard from Huntress. The daughter of the Bat and the Cat grew a happy smile on her face as she reached out towards her mother with her left hand. "I was so worried that something had happened to you. Thank God you're safe". Huntress said in relief with a gentle tone, before she began walking towards her mother to hug her.
Catwoman flinched at Huntress's words, and at the joy coming out of them. She grit her teeth, before she hissed and bared her left gauntlet's claws out at Huntress, making her stop in her tracks and look at her mother in confusion. "Don't screw with me, Bertinelli! Your joke is not funny, you're not my daughter! I don't even have any children!" Catwoman hissed at the Justice League member, her eyes narrowed in a dangerous way as she looked at Huntress.
The daughter of the bat and the cat gasped at her mother's words, her confused expression turning into a hurt expression at Catwoman's words. She placed her left hand on her chest and gave her mother a pleading expression. "Why are you calling me Bertinelli? Mother, it's me! Helena, yours and Batman's daughter". Huntress said to her mother in a pleading voice, making Catwoman widen her eyes even more in shock.

The former Queen of the criminal underworld narrowed her eyes once more, only now they harbored anger towards Huntress. "Okay, that's enough bad jokes!" Catwoman exclaimed as she placed her whip away, before she hissed at Huntress like a cat. "I'll shut that mouth of yours myself!" The Cat added, before both she and Huntress both took their stances, beginning their battle.
Catwoman was the first to strike as she dashed right through Huntress, swiping her claws through her, drawing blood from Huntress and making her cry out. Catwoman turned around to face Huntress as she collapsed to the ground on her face, but she rolled backwards away from her mother and climbed back to her feet.
Huntress charged at Catwoman, before swinging her metal pole in a combo attack. She first swung her metal pole at her mother's waist, making Catwoman cry out in pain, before she palm struck her in the chin and followed it up with a roundhouse kick with her right leg, sending the Cat off his feet and to the ground. The Cat quickly got back on her feet, before she leaped towards Huntress.
She first kicked Huntress's left leg with her right leg, before kicking her in the stomach, causing Huntress to gasp as she took a step back. She kicked Huntress's left leg once more, before she dashed right through her, swiping her claws through her, drawing blood from Huntress and making her cry out. Catwoman turned around to face Huntress as she collapsed to the ground on her face, but quickly got back on her feet.
Huntress slide down the ground and kicked under Catwoman's legs, launching her off the ground, crying out in surprise before she slammed onto the ground with Huntress retaking her stance behind her mother. Acting quickly, Huntress drew her crossbow fired an armored arrow at the ground in front Catwoman as she got back to his feet. The arrow beeped 3 times, before it exploded, sending Catwoman flying into the air.
Huntress wasn't done yet as she jumped into the air after her mother. She swung her metal pole forward, striking Catwoman's face and sending her crashing onto the ground on her back, while Huntress a little bit away from her. Catwoman got back on her feet as Huntress brought out her crossbow with her left hand, and then fired a grappling arrow at her. However, Catwoman crouched down and flawlessly dodged the grappling arrow. Catwoman then threw herself off the ground towards Huntress and kicked her with both her feet. The force of the kick pushed Huntress off the ground and sent her crashing onto her back, while Catwoman landed in a crouch, before she stood up fully and retook her stance.
Huntress climbed back up on her feet and took her stance once more. Catwoman then brought out her whip and cracked it at Huntress, sending her crashing onto the ground again. The daughter of the Bat and the Cat got back on her feet, before she dashed towards Catwoman, striking her stomach with the end of her pole, before she lifted it up and slammed it into her mother's chin, launching her into the air. The older female slammed onto the ground on her stomach, before she got up on her feet.
Catwoman leaped towards Huntress, before she dashed towards the younger female, intending to swipe her claws at her, but Huntress blocked it with her pole, holding it in front of her with both her hands. Catwoman still passed through Huntress though. The Queen of the Criminal Underworld turned to look at Huntress, who turned to face her as well. Huntress thrust her right foot out and kicked Catwoman's stomach, making her lightly gasp before she recovered.
Catwoman retaliated as she spun around and swiped her whip underneath Huntress's feat, making her cry out as she slammed into the ground on her face. She quickly recovered and got back on her feet, before she knelt down. Huntress swung her metal pole with both hands into Catwoman's chin, sending her flying off the ground and into the air, before she crashed landed onto her back.
Huntress jumped towards her mother before landing in front of her. Catwoman reached out and grabbed her daughter, before she brought her closer. Catwoman slashed at Huntress's face with both her claws, drawing blood from her daughter, before she did a backward flip with her right leg, sending Huntress high into the air and back flipped a bit away, creating some distance.
Huntress climbed back onto her feet and took her stance once more. She dashed towards Catwoman, before she jumped towards her. She locked her legs around her mother's head.
Huntress flipped backwards before she slammed Catwoman to the ground with her legs, the impact causing a shockwave as she bounced off of the ground a little bit, while the daughter of the Cat and the Bat flipped onto her feet and took her stance.
"Eat your heart out, Green Arrow". Huntress said with a smirk as she checked her crossbow out for a moment, before returning it to her belt's sleeve as Catwoman got back on her feet. Catwoman brought out her whip and cracked it at Huntress, the impact causing a shockwave as Huntress was launched off her feet and bounced across the ground, before landing face flat on the ground.
"Perrfect". Catwoman purred like a cat, before Huntress got back on her feet and took her stance once more. Huntress and Catwoman began walking towards each other, before the younger female stopped. She brought out her crossbow with her left hand and fired three different arrows, striking Catwoman three times and pushing her back.
The former Queen of the criminal Underworld jumped into the air, before kicking her legs out and striking Huntress's face, slightly pushing her back with Catwoman landing in front of her. Catwomman thrust her left leg out in a kick, however a wave of energy appeared as Huntress blocked and pushed her mother back, creating a wager between them.
Catwoman crouched down with her eyes locked on Huntress. "You're not my daughter!" The former Queen of the criminal underworld snapped at the younger female, who held up her metal pole with both her hands and had a pleading expression on her face. "Mum, please…" Huntress pleaded to her mother, but she just let out an enraged cry as she started running towards her.
Huntress gave out her own battle cry as she charged towards her mother, holding her metal pole out to the far right side. Both mother and daughter drew closer to each other, until Catwoman leaped off her feet and into the air, before she swiped her claws down on Huntress, who swung her metal pole forward. The two clashed, causing a burst of energy that spread out like a wave, before the two were pushed back from each other, neither of them being the winner of the wager.
Catwoman leaped forward, before she dashed towards Huntress, intending to swipe her claws at her once more, but this time she was ready. Huntress used her cape to block her mother's assault, keeping her from passing through. Quickly, Huntress swung her metal pole, striking Catwoman's left waist, before twirling around to slam her pole into the older female's right waist. She followed up by elbowing Catwoman in the stomach with her left arm, before slamming the back of her fist into the older female's face, sending her sliding across the ground.
Huntress quickly leaped towards her fallen mother as she began to get back up on her feet, but the daughter of the Cat and the Bat acted before Catwoman could. Huntress reached out with her left hand and grabbed hold of her mother. She brought her close, before she took hold of her metal pole and swung it twice, hitting Catwoman on the face twice.
Huntress then spun left and swung her pole below Catwoman's feet, knocking her off balance as he began to fall backwards. The teenage girl wasn't finished yet as she kicked her mother's back with her left foot, sending her sliding across the ground. Catwoman crashed onto the ground on his back, while Huntress retook her stance.
The former Queen of the criminal underworld got back on her feet and retook her stance, before she crouched down. Catwoman then threw herself off the ground towards Huntress and kicked her with both her feet. The force of the kick pushed Huntress off the ground and sent her crashing onto her back, while Catwoman landed in a crouch, before she stood up fully and retook her stance.
Huntress got back up, before she jumped into the air towards her mother. She swung her metal pole out, striking Catwoman and pushing her back a bit. Huntress landed and quickly crouched down, before she struck the older female's leg with the blunt end of her metal pole, stunning her momentarily. She crouched down once more, before she swung her weapon up, striking Catwoman's chin and sending her flying into the sky, before she crashed onto the ground on her back.
Catwoman got back on her feet and took her stance, before she began walking towards Huntress, but she jumped over her mother and landed behind her. Catwoman and Huntress turned around to face each other, before the teenage girl began backing away. Catwoman began walking after Huntress, but that was what she wanted.
Huntress stopped right near a dumpster, before she grabbed hold of it. She spun around, using her metahuman strength, and threw the dumpster at her mother. The dumpster struck and pushed Catwoman off her feet and sent her slamming onto the ground on her back, while the dumpster stopped a little bit behind her.
Catwoman got back up, but looked a bit mad now. She backed away as Huntress approached, before she grabbed hold of the dumpster, spun around and threw it at Huntress, striking and pushing her off of her feet. The force sent Huntress crashing right in front of an ACE Chemicals Truck, while the dumpster stopped right next to her. Catwoman began walking towards Huntress as the daughter of the Cat and the Bat got back on her feet and retook her stance as her mother approached.
Huntress turned around and grabbed a small canister of the ACE Chemicals Truck, before she tore it off and threw it at her mother. The canister struck and exploded, sending Catwoman flying into the air, before crashing onto the ground on her back, but she instantly got back on her feet.
Huntress brought out her crossbow with her left hand and fired a single arrow. The arrow struck and released a supersonic boom, the impact releasing a shockwave that pushed Catwoman off her feet and sent her bouncing across the ground, before she landed face flat on the ground. She rose up, before she fell back to the ground, using her hands to keep herself from collapsing completely.
(Music end)
Huntress returned her metal pole into a metal rod, before she placed it and her crossbow away. She had a heartbroken expression on her face as she stared down at her mother. "Please… don't make fight you anymore…" Huntress pleaded, her voice low and sad from having to fight against her beloved mum, before she began walking towards Catwoman.
The former Queen of the criminal underworld was taking deep breaths with her head down in defeat. However, she lifted it up and glared at Huntress when she stopped in front of her mother. Huntress looked down at Catwoman with pure sadness in her eyes, while the older female just glared up at her. "…Mum…" Huntress began, only to be cut off by Catwoman. "Shut it, Bertinelli!" Catwoman snapped at her daughter, making Huntress flinch at her mother's words and tone, even taking a step back.
"You're not my daughter! I don't have any children, much less any with Bruce! So quit whatever this game is!" The female adult continued, her voice full of rage and hatred directed at Huntress, causing the teenager to take another step back from her mother. Catwoman's words were like bullets piercing Huntress's heart, inflecting great emotional pain to the young teenage girl. "M-M-M-Mum…" Huntress struggled to speak, her voice full of pain and sadness at her mother's words as she walked up to Catwoman and knelt down in front of her. "Please, I'm not lying to you. I really am your daughter". The daughter of the Bat and the Cat told her mother, getting Catwoman to narrow her eyes dangerously.
Before she could even snap at the younger female once more, Huntress reached up to her own mask and took it off, revealing her face to her mother. Catwoman gasped in shock upon seeing an exact copy of her face, only younger and had different eyes than hers. The only difference of the eyes was that Huntress' were a different colour, a familiar color that she sees in a certain caped crusader's eyes.
Huntress held her mask with her right hand as she stared down at her mother, before she placed it down on the ground. She then placed her hands on her cheeks, her tear filled eyes glued to Catwoman's shocked expression. "I inherited my face, nose and hair from you. I inherited my eyes from dad. My full name is Helena Martha Kyle Wayne, daughter of Bruce Wayne and Selena Kyle. But the rest of the world knows me as Huntress, daughter of Batman and Catwoman". The daughter of the Bat and the Cat introduced herself to Catwoman, letting her left hand fall to the side, while she held her right hand out for the older female to take.
"Look inside your heart, and you'll know that I'm not lying. I'm your daughter, yours and Bruce Wayne's". Huntress told her mother with a gentle tone, keeping her hand up for Catwoman to take. The former Queen of the criminal underworld stared up at her daughter's face, who kept silent as she continued to hold her right hand out for Catwoman to take.
However, suddenly Huntress widened her eyes in surprise upon feeling her sixth sense go off crazily. She quickly swiped her right hand down and grabbed her mask, before she leapt away to the left, just barely dodging a lightning blast from above. Huntress landed in a roll and landed on her knees. She quickly placed her mask back on, before she quickly twirled onto her feet and looked up at who tried to blast her.
To her surprise and horror, it was Black Adam, who was flying in the sky with his arms crossed. Like with Bane, Nightwing and Catwoman, he looked different than normal. His hair was shaved off, he now had a black and cold cape draped over his shoulders, a yellow dagger in its scabbard was on his chest, his boots had golden serpent accessories of sorts now and even his outfit had changed now. 'The surprises just don't end, do they?' The daughter of the Bat and the Cat thought to herself with narrowed eyes, realizing that she was now in big trouble. The King of Kahndaq looked down at the teenage girl and sneered at her. "I don't know how you've risen from the dead, but you will return there!" Black Adam exclaimed, bringing his hands up before they were coated in electricity.
"Back off!" A familiar voice demanded, getting everyone to turn to see both Bane and Nighting back on their feet wide awake, standing a few feet away. The two of them were looking at Huntress with hate filled glares for the beating she gave them not too long ago with Nighting having being the one who just called out. "If anybody is gonna kill her, it's gonna be me!" Nightwing snapped, his hate filled eyes directed at Huntress with murderous intent.
Bane placed his left hand on Nightwing's shoulder, before he threw him back, sending Nightwing sliding across the ground behind the giant of a man. "I will be the one to break her skull, no one else!" Bane roared out as he stomped his right foot on the ground, causing a mini earthquake that kicked up debris. Nightwing got back on his feet and scowled at Bane. Huntress's eyes wandered from Nightwing to Bane and Black Adam, before she looked at Catwoman, who was still lying down on the ground, only she was looking at her with still disbelief filled eyes. 'This is not going well for me. I'm both outgunned and outmatched. I've got two options here. Option number 1: I antagonize them to piss them so that they make sloppy moves to escape… On second thought, scratch that idea, it'll probably just increase the chances of me getting killed. Well, option number 2 it is then'. The teenage girl thought to herself as she reached into one of her utility belt's mini bags with her right hand and brought out 3 smoke pellets.
"Sorry boys, but tonight's party is officially over! Thank you all for coming!" Huntress joked with an amused tone as she lifted up her right hand, before she threw the smoke pellets down on the ground hard, causing them to burst and cover her completely from view. "NO!" Black Adam, Bane and Nightwing all cried out in anger, before the King of Kahndaq thrust his hands out and fired a lightning blast right at the smoke.
The lightning blast disappeared into the smoke, but no cry of pain was heard. The smoke cleared to reveal scorched ground, but no sign of Huntress, as if she disappeared. "Damn it! She got away!" Black Adam cursed in anger as he floated down to the ground and landed on his feet. "She mustn't have gotten far! She will not get away!" Bane exclaimed in anger, before he took off in a random direction in search for Huntress. Nightwing gave a growl as he stared at the scorched ground where he last saw Huntress at, before he turned around. "Superman must be informed of this". The former sidekick to Batman stated as he began walking off, intending to inform the Man of Steel of the Huntress's mysterious return.
Catwoman was silent as she continued to stare right where she last saw her daughter, her mind glued to the face that was exactly like hers and the strange feelings that her heart was experiencing. One thing was for certain, she was going to see Huntress again.
Meanwhile not too far from the street, Huntress poked her head out of an alleyway with a playful smirk on her face. "It's a good thing Dad taught me the art of disappearance, or else I would have been in trouble". The daughter of the Bat and the Cat said with a triumphant tone, before she gave a playful giggle. However, a black gauntlet hand came out of nowhere from behind and roughly grabbed her by the mouth, making Huntress widen her eyes in panic. She quickly placed her hands on the big gauntlet hand and attempted to pull it off of her mouth, but was unsuccessful. "Calm down". A rough, but very familiar voice told her, making Huntress widen her eyes in surprise and relief as she recognized who it belonged to.
The hand pulled Huntress deeper into the alleyway and she willingly allowed herself to be lead. Eventually, the gauntlet hand removed itself from her mouth and was retracted behind her. Huntress grew a happy smile as she turned around to face the owner, although she already knew who it was. It was her father, Batman. But just like everyone she's seen so far, he looked different than normal. Batman had a more armored batsuit with a ragged cape now. The bat symbol was spread across his chest. He now sported a modified utility belt with the symbol of Nightwing on the buckle and the fins on his gauntlets were smaller. His cowl was larger and covered more of his face. The Cowl in noticeably looked more weathered and had a few small tears around his neck and cheeks.
Unlike with Bane, Nightwing and Black Adam, she didn't care for the changes that her father suddenly had, she was only happy to see him again. "Dad!" Huntress exclaimed in joy as she ran up to and wrapped her arms around Batman in a hug. The Dark Knight widened his eyes in surprise at Huntress's actions, his arms up, but didn't wrap around them around her to return the hug.
Huntress kept hugging her father for 10 whole seconds, before she pulled away to look at him in the eye, but kept her arms wrapped around him. "I was so worried about you! Everything's gone wrong! Somehow the world knows your identity, Clark killed J'onn and the others, Dick was with Bane and was trying to kill someone! Metropolis was nuked 5 years ago! Mum didn't recognize me either; she just called me Bertinelli and said I wasn't yours and hers daughter! What's happening?!" Huntress questioned her father in concern, her eyes showing the panic that she has been experiencing ever since yesterday.
Batman had a conflicted expression on his face as he looked down at his daughter's face, before he placed his hands on her shoulders. "I'll get straight to the point; you're in an alternate universe". The Dark Knight told his daughter, getting Huntress to widen her eyes in shock. "W…What?" The daughter of the Bat and the Cat questioned in disbelief at what she just heard from her father, before she tilted her head down in thought. 'Is he telling the truth? I guess it would make sense on why everyone acted so surprised to see me'. The teenage girl said in her mind, connecting the dots as she thought back to her previous encounters with people she knew.
"You're here because of me. I meant to just bring Green Lantern, Aquaman, Wonder Woman and Green Arrow here, but it looks like a few more were dragged along for the ride. I need you to come with me; you'll be safe where I'll take you". Batman told the teenage girl, getting her attention as she lifted her head up and nodded to her father.
"O-okay. This whole thing is very complicated, but I trust you Dad, alternate universe or not". Huntress replied to her father, getting Batman to break eye contact and look down at the ground. Huntress grew concerned at her father suddenly breaking eye contact with her. She grew the urge to ask him what was wrong, but instead asked a different question.
"Could you at least answer me 3 questions?" The teenage girl asked her father, regaining his attention as he nodded to her. "Of course. What are they?" Batman answered his daughter, although Huntress saw a hint of concern in his eyes for some reason. The daughter of the Bat and the Cat took a deep breath to calm her nerves, before she began asking her questions.
"Okay, question number 1: What happened to Metropolis and Clark? I read a sight that said Metropolis was nuked 5 years ago and that Superman has even killed our friends. What happened?" Huntress questioned her father in concern for her Godfather, making Batman let out a low growl at the ground, before he looked back at her. "5 years ago, Joker planted a nuke in Metropolis, he linked the nuke's trigger to Lois's heartbeat. Joker somehow altered Superman's mind so that he believed that he was fighting Doomsday… but it was actually Lois". The Dark Knight began to explain to his daughter, making Huntress gasp in horror as her hands shot up to her mouth.
"Superman took Lois to space, where she died. When her heartbeat went out, the nuke went off in Metropolis and thousands were killed. Among them were Beast Boy and Kid Flash. And what's worse, Lois was pregnant with Clark's child". Batman continued, increasing Huntress's horror as her eyes began to widen. "In Superman's… Clark's mind, he was the one that destroyed Metropolis and killed his family, not Joker. Ever since, he's changed and started killing. He's killed Joker, Martian Manhunter, Green Arrow and a lot more". Batman finished explaining to Huntress, who was silent as she stared at her father with wide eyes full of horror.
Feeling her legs suddenly grow weak, Huntress collapsed to her knees and began shedding tears that fell down to the ground below her. 'Why…? Why would Joker do something as horrible as this? How could everything go so wrong in this one universe?' The teenage questioned said in her mind, horrified of what has become of everyone in this universe. Batman was silent as he stared down at Huntress as she cried for a few minutes.
Eventually, Huntress got back on her feet and wiped her tears away with her forearms. She looked up at her father's stoic face and gave a small smile. "Sorry about that, I couldn't help myself. Just… hearing about my friends' death really just…" Huntress began to apologize, before she stopped herself. She began to whimper upon thinking about her beloved friends and former Teen Titan members being killed in any way. She gripped her biceps tightly with her hands, gritted her teeth hard and shut her eyes as she mourn for her friends' deaths once more.
Batman was still silent as he watched Huntress began to lightly cry for her friends again. After a moment, he raised his right hand up and began to reach it out towards Huntress's head. His hand stopped an inch away from her head as he hesitated for a moment, before he placed it atop Huntress's head and gave her a comforting rub.
Huntress opened her tear filled eyes to look at her father, who had an uncomfortable expression on his face. "I understand that it's a lot to take in, and I don't blame you for crying for your friends. It just shows how much you care about them". The Dark Knight told his daughter with a tone that was a mix of reassurance and uncertainty. Huntress blinked at her father's words, before she grew a smile on her face. She wiped her tears away with her fingers, before she looked back at Batman.
"Thanks Dad, I really appreciate that". The daughter of the Bat and the Cat thanked the Dark Knight, who just gave a "hump" in response as he lifted his hand off of Huntress's head. Huntress gave a small giggle, before her expression changed as she thought about her second question. "Now here's question 2: What's wrong with Dick? I saw him with Bane about to execute someone not too long ago. If I hadn't had stopped him, he would have killed someone. What happened to him?" Huntress questioned her father once more, causing Batman to grit his teeth harshly and let out an enraged growl.
Huntress flinched and took a step back from her father, having not expected him to become so enraged at her question. Batman took a few deep breaths to calm himself down, before he looked back at Huntress. "The person that you saw wasn't Dick Grayson". Batman told his daughter, getting the teenage girl to widen her eyes in surprise, having not expected that answer.
She took a few steps towards her father and leaned forward to him. "If that wasn't Dick, then who was that wearing the Nightwing mantle?" Huntress asked her father, now desperate to know who it was that she fought and was wearing her brother's mantle. Batman let out another growl as his fists tightened extremely, before he took a deep breath to calm down. "His name was Damian… Damian Wayne". The Dark Knight revealed the name of the mysterious man that Huntress fought, making his daughter widen her eyes in shock and surprise once more. Huntress took a step back and held her hands slightly up as her father's words repeatedly ring in her head. "…Damian Wayne… As in…?" The teenage girl began, but was unable to finish from the shock that she was experiencing. Batman nodded to Huntress, confirming what she was thinking. "Yes, Damian Wayne, my son. Mine and Talia al Ghul's son". The Dark Knight revealed to his daughter, getting her to inhale in surprise.
Huntress knew all about Talia al Ghul and the history her father shared with her, especially Talia's feelings for him. Unfortunately for her, Huntress's father only had eyes for her mother. Her father hadn't heard from the daughter of the Demon for years after his wedding with Selina, she just disappeared off the face of the Earth. So, it was a bit of a surprise to hear that in this universe, her father had a child with the daughter of the Demon. Just as Huntress was about to speak, Batman cut her off. "But, he's no son of mine anymore! Not after he killed Dick Grayson!" The Dark Knight exclaimed in rage as he spun around to face the other direction, making Huntress shot open her eyes and lightly gasp.

"…What…?" Huntress questioned in a whisper, her mind still from what she just heard. Batman turned back around to look at Huntress and saw her speechless expression. He looked down at the ground with narrowed eyes and gritted teeth. "Not too long after Superman killed Joker and started his new way of handling criminals, a battle broke out in Arkham. Damian, as Robin at the time, threw one of his poles at Dick from behind. Dick was knocked out and when he fell, his head hit the ground too hard and he died. Damian says it was an accident as his anger was too great to contain from the fight, but that's a lie. The truth is he killed Dick, it wasn't an accident!" Batman growled out in anger upon thinking about how Dick was stolen from him by Damian.
Huntress was silent as she stared at her father with wide eyes and a gaping mouth. Images of her childhood flashed through her mind, images of her and Dick doing all sorts of things together. She remembered him teaching her how to ride a bike, how to summersault, hacking and a lot more. Her heart swelled with sadness as her brother's death hit her full force. Huntress collapsed to her knees, before she sobbed as tears escaped from her eyes and fell down to the ground once more. She brought her hands up and covered her eyes as she wept for her brother's death. Huntress's crying caught Batman's attention as he turned around to face her and saw his daughter crying. His expression softened upon seeing her weeping for Dick. While he was happy to see that she cared for Dick, it sadden him to see her so heartbroken.
However, he made no move to comfort her this time, only watched her weep for Dick's death. Unlike last time, she didn't weep for long as she stopped crying and got back on her feet. She wiped her tears away from her closed eyes, before she opened them to show an enraged look. "I don't care what Damian says, he killed Dick and he will pay for that!" Huntress growled out, holding her right fist up as it shook with fury.
(Music end)
Batman narrowed his eyes at his daughter, before he crossed his arms. "If you kill him, you'll be no better than what Clark has become". The Dark Knight told his daughter, regaining her attention as she looked up at her father's face and shook her head. "I have no intention of becoming like Superman. I'm just gonna punch my 'brother's' face in a lot, then I'll throw him in jail. I won't lose sight of what I am; I'm your daughter after all". The daughter of the Bat and the Cat replied to her father with a playful wink, all traces of her rage completely gone.
Batman stared down at his daughter for a few moments, before he gave an approved nod. Huntress took a deep breath with her eyes closed as she prepared to ask the third, and most important, question. She opened her eyes, before she lifted her head and made eye contact with her father.
"Why… does no one recognize me?" Huntress questioned her father in a low voice, getting Batman to narrow his eyes. "Everyone who's seen me has called me Bertinelli. Mum didn't recognize me and said that she never had any kids, even with you. If that was true, then why does everyone call me Bertinelli when that isn't even my last name?" The teenage girl explained to her father for him to understand, knowing that he knows the answer to her most important question.
Batman didn't answer Huntress, only stared down at her for a few moments with narrowed eyes, before he unfolded his arms. "There was a Huntress in this universe, but she wasn't my daughter". The Dark Knight began, instantly making Huntress widen her eyes at what her father said. "…!" The daughter of the Bat and the Cat speechlessly stared at her father in disbelief at what he just said. He had shocked her a few times these last few minutes, but this was the biggest shock of them all.
Batman noticed Huntress's disbelief filled look, but continued on. "The Huntress of this universe was an Italian woman named Helena Bertinelli, the daughter of a mafia family of Gotham City. She was a member of the Justice League and the Birds of Prey. She was a comrade of mine that opposed Superman with me and a few others. Not too long ago, she was killed by Wonder Woman, who snapped her neck with her lasso". The Dark Knight finished telling his daughter about her counterpart of this universe.
Huntress stared at her father with wide eyes for a few moments, no hint of movement anywhere on her body. She slowly opened her mouth, but no words came out. After a few seconds, she found her voice again. "H-how is that possible? How can she and I be counterparts when we're two entirely different people? She's the daughter of a mafia family, while I'm the daughter of Batman and Catwoman. So, why are we counterparts when we're so different?" Huntress questioned her father in a weak voice, wanting to know why her counterpart was so different to her.
Batman gave a sigh, not from tiredness, but out of defeat. "I don't know. Our two universes are very much alike with only a few exceptions. However, none of them was anything like this. I don't know why you and the Huntress of this universe are so different, but that doesn't matter right now". Batman told the teenage girl, making her look down with a frown for a few seconds, before she lifted it back up and nodded to her father. "I guess you're right". Huntress stated, although she was still bothered, but knew that this wasn't the time to be thinking about the differences between her and the Huntress of this world.
"I've answered all your questions now. Come with me back to my base, your universe's Wonder Woman, Green Lantern and Green Arrow are already there". The Dark Knight told the teenage girl, getting Huntress's face to light up like a Christmas tree. However, her face instantly fell upon remembering that she, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern and Green Arrow weren't the only ones that were brought her. "What about my universe's Batman? Him and Joker were brought here along with me". The daughter of the Bat and the Cat told the 'Batman' of this universe, instantly making him narrow his eyes dangerously upon hearing his arch nemesis's name.
He placed his hands on Huntress's shoulders in a harsh manner and lightly shook her. "Joker…! Joker's here!?" Batman hissed out, saying the word 'Joker' in a tone full of hatred for the mad clown that changed his best friend for the worse. Huntress almost flinched at her father's tone, but stood her ground and nodded to him. "He is. My version of you told me to find out what was going on, while he fought with Joker. I haven't made contact with my universe's version of Batman since yesterday, so I have no idea where either him, or Joker are right now". Huntress answered her father, confirming that Joker was here in this universe.
The Dark Knight gave a small growl as he spun around and stomped 5 steps away from Huntress, before he began taking deep breaths to calm himself down. He looked over his left shoulder to look at Huntress. "Follow me". Batman said to his daughter, before he looked forward and began walking away. Without question, Huntress followed this universe's version of her father as he led her away from the open streets of Gotham City.
(A little bit latter)
Batman led Huntress successfully away from Gotham Streets and into his base of operations. Instead of it being the Batcave like Huntress expected, he led her underground Gotham City to a base in the sewers that he called the Insurgency. Huntress grew concerned upon entering as she felt like something had happened to Wayne Manner for her father's base of operations to be here instead of home. She kept quiet as Batman lead her to the room where Wonder Woman, Green Arrow and Green Lantern awaited.
Right now, the two were walking down the hallway to a black door with Batman in the lead. However, the closer they got, the louder Huntress heard familiar voices on the other side. "Not our Ares". A familiar voice, one that Huntress recognized as Aquaman's voice, said on the other side, getting the teenage girl to grow a happy smile. "We know". Another familiar voice began as Batman and Huntress reached the door, which slid open for them. "Meet Not-Our-Batman". The voice finished as the pair of father and daughter entered, where Huntress saw Wonder Woman, Green Arrow, Green Lantern and Aquaman all gathered together around a table.
"I was wandering how to retrieve you from Atlantis". The Dark Knight remarked as he and Huntress walked up to the group, getting their attention as they looked over his direction and saw him with his daughter. "Helena! You're safe!" Wonder Woman exclaimed with a relived smile as she walked over and wrapped her arms around Huntress in a hug, who happily returned it.
"I'm glad to see you're all okay". The teenage girl stated as she looked at all her fellow Justice League members, before she noticed the pill that Green Arrow was holding. "Since when did you take pills?" Huntress questioned as she broke her hug with Wonder Woman and looked at Green Arrow with a raised eyebrow.
"Just now". The Justice League member answered as he took the pill and swallowed it. Batman then walked in between the Justice League members, holding a device with his hands. "It's a durability enhancer. Five-U-93-R". The Dark Knight informed them as he began pressing away on the device that he was holding. Everyone looked at him in surprise at what he just said about the pill that Green Arrow took.
"How can a pill allow-". Aquaman began, only to be cut off swiftly by Batman. "Kryptonian nanotech. Increases the tensile strength of bone and tissue by several thousand percent". The Dark Knight explained how the pill worked and increased the strength of whoever takes it. "Impressive". Huntress remarked with an impressed smirk on her face, wanting to take one of the pills herself now.
"Bats can tell you the rest later, if you're having trouble sleeping… He borrowed the recipe from Superman. Superman gives it to his flunkies". Green Arrow told Aquaman as the Justice League members all moved around the table to take a seat on one of the six seats. "Yes. I met a couple of our evil twins". The King of Atlantis replied as everyone took their seats with Huntress sitting right besides her father on his left, who stayed standing up.
"They're not evil. Most obey out of fear… Or they believe he's right and have lost perspective". Batman told the hybrid King, getting Huntress to nod in agreement. "He's right about some believing Clark's right. Not too long ago, I stopped Nightwing and Bane from executing a man just for stealing". Huntress said in agreement, getting Wonder Woman to turn her attention to the younger female. "Good job then. But why would Dick follow Superman instead of you?" The Amazon questioned the Dark Knight as she turned her attention to him, getting Batman to grit his teeth in anger.
Huntress placed her right hand on her father's left forearm and gave him a comforting squeezed, making Batman take a deep breath to calm himself. The teenage girl turned her attention to Wonder Woman and shook her head. "I thought that was Dick at first, but it was actually someone else who killed Dick and took the mantle of Nightwing". Huntress informed her Justice League comrade, getting her to grit her teeth in anger at Dick's death.
"She's right. When Superman hears about Huntress, he and the Regime will be after her, especially Diana". Batman told the group, getting Aquaman, Green Lantern, Green Arrow and Wonder Woman to look up at him in confusion, while Huntress looked down at the table. "Why would Diana come after Huntress?" Green Lantern questioned in both concern and confusion, concern for Huntress and confusion at why this universe's Wonder Woman would come after her.
Batman narrowed his eyes dangerously, while Huntress placed her right hand on the front of her neck and gently rubbed it. "It's because she was the one that killed the Huntress of this universe". Batman answered, making Aquaman, Green Lantern, Green Arrow and Wonder Woman widen their eyes in horror. "It was in a battle not too long ago. Huntress and Batwoman had cornered Superman, but Wonder Woman came in and stopped the two. She snapped Helena's neck with her lasso". The Dark Knight added, getting Wonder Woman to look down at her own lasso for a moment, before she looked up at Huntress in concern.
"So you're the only one left…" Aquaman stated, getting Batman to turn his head to face him. However, before the Dark Knight could answer, someone did it for him. "Not the only one…" A familiar voice told the King of Atlantis, getting everyone to turn to look at the entrance and saw, to their surprise, Lex Luthor walk into the room, wearing a black business outfit.
Immediately, the Justice League members were on guard. "What is this?!" Aquaman demanded with narrowed eyes, although he stayed in his seat. "How are you even alive?" Green Arrow questioned as he held up his right hand and slightly waved it at the bald haired man. "He's with me". Batman told the five Justice League members as Lex walked into the room. "Unlike your Luthor, I've never indulged in law-breaking. Superman doesn't suspect his best friend is funding the Insurgence". Lex told the five as he stopped behind Huntress, who was looking over her right shoulder to look up at him.
"Luthor's involvement is a secret. People critical of Superman disappear. Government officials, activists, reporters…" Batman informed the group as he finally took his seat and placed his gauntlet hands on the table. "Well now that we're all here, explain why you chose us". Wonder Woman requested, wanting to finally know they were brought into this universe.
"And why you didn't ask before yankin' us over. We were kinda busy". Green Arrow added as he leaned back on his chair, getting Huntress to widen her eyes upon remembering the bomb back at her universe's Metropolis. "The nuclear bomb? It didn't go off. Your transfer somehow prevented it". Lex told the Justice League members, getting them all to look at him in surprise at how he knew about the bomb.
"How did you know about that-". Green Arrow began, only to be cut off by the bald haired man himself. "We've been monitoring your world for some time. You four specifically". Lex told the group as he eyed Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Green Lantern and Green Arrow, getting Huntress to widen her eyes upon realizing she wasn't mentioned. "Wait a minute, what about me?! What am I, fried onions?" The teenage girl questioned loudly with wide eyes, getting the bald haired man to look down at her.
"That's the thing; you weren't supposed to come along with them". Lex said to the teenage girl, getting her to groan as she slammed her head down on the table. "Something went wrong with the transfer and three more were brought here as well. My counterpart, Joker and Huntress here". Batman informed, getting Green Lantern to narrow his eyes upon hearing the psychotic clown's name.
"Great, so now we have a mad clown on the run in who knows where". The pilot commented with his arms crossed, while Aquaman looked down at Huntress's head that was still lying down on the table. "Huntress, do you know where your father and Joker are?" Aquaman asked the young girl, thinking that she might know where their universe's Batman and Joker are. Huntress lifted her head off the table and looked at the older Justice League member, before she shook her head.
"No, I have zero idea where they are right now. We were transported to Metropolis, but dad told me to head out and find out what's going on while he took care of Joker. I've tried contacting him, but I couldn't get a hold of him". Huntress answered Aquaman with a sad voice, wishing that she had stayed with her father instead of separating with him.
"We'll find your Batman and Joker later; right now I need your help with something important. I have a weapon… To take down Superman. A kryptonite-based laser that-". Batman began, only to be cut off by Green Lantern upon hearing the word 'kryptonite'. "Hold on… A kryptonite weapon?! You kill him, you're no better than he is". Green Lantern said in disapproval of using Superman's one weakness to kill him as he leaned forward on his chair and held up his right hand.
"I didn't say "kill". It'll incapacitate him, Nothing more". Batman corrected, causing Huntress to let out a sigh of relief at hearing he won't go down to that level. "Okay, so we just need this thing to take him down. Where is it?" Huntress asked her father as she turned her head to look at him, who turned to look at her. "The weapon's in the Batcave. I need your DNA to unlock it". The Dark Knight answered, turning his attention to the four older members of the Justice League, indicating that it was their DNA that he needed.
Huntress gained a worried look upon hearing her father's famed cave. She wondered what had become of her home in this universe and her family. Hopefully they were all safe. She felt a hand placed upon her right shoulder, getting her to look over it to see that it was Lex, who had leaned down behind her shoulder. "While you're here, you could help me with something just as important". Lex whispered to the teenage girl, getting her to blink in confusion at why he needed her help.
(Meanwhile at the Fortress of Solitude)
At the famed fortress for the Man of Steel, Superman sat down in front of multiple monitors that showed his progress of controlling Doomsday, who was on the other side of the room, contained by a collar that had been strapped onto him. Unlike the Doomsday of Huntress's universe, this one was more armed. He had a restraint collar with blue shorts with suspenders. He also had bones growing out of his head, giving the appearance of a mohawk.
A little bit ago, he was visited by Diana, who had come to show off her new outfit in an attempt to flirt with him, but failed. She told him that Hal had returned and was on his way to the room. She left as Hal entered, now a Yellow Lantern, and informed Superman of his encounter with another Hal Joredon, Diana Prince and Oliver Queen. Superman ordered him to find the three and any others and bring them to him. Now he was alone, back in his chair as he worked on the collar controlling Doomsday. Just then, Nightwing entered the room and stomped up to behind the chair that Superman was sitting down on. "What is it Damian?" The Man of Steel questioned the son of his former best friend, although he was a little taken back by the anger that Damian was radiating.
Nightwing took a deep breath to calm his nerves, before he began his report. "The public execution that Bane and I were overseeing was interrupted, and the prisoner escaped". The son of the Bat told the Man of Steel, getting Superman to widen his eyes in surprise, before he went back to working on a small controller that he was holding with his left hand. "Who was it that kept you from delivering justice to the prisoner?" Superman questioned without looking at Nightwing, his focus mostly on the controller in his hand. Nightwing was silent for a moment as he figured out the best way to inform his master, before he eventually decided to just get it over with. "That's the thing sir, it was Huntress". The brown haired male revealed, making Superman widen his eyes even bigger than before as his head jolted up.
"That's… impossible. She's dead. Diana killed her". Superman said in denial that Huntress came back from the dead. Nightwing shook his head at his boss. "I know that it sounds unbelievable, but it's true. Somehow, Helena Bertinelli is alive". The son of the Bat told his boss as he crossed his arms. Superman lowered his head and stared down at the bench for a few moments, before he raised his head up with narrowed eyes. "Inform Diana about this. She killed Huntress once, so I think it's only fair that she does it again". Superman ordered Nightwing, who grew an arrogant smirk on his face. He had half a mind to tell Superman about how Huntress confused him for Dick Grayson, but decided against it.
He walked out of the room and left the Man of Steel alone to find and inform the Amazon of her new mission. However, what he didn't notice was that outside of the entrance to the room that Superman and Doomsday were in was that there was a black listening device on the left side that had a cat imprint on it.
And that's that. Man, this took a lot out of me. Anyway, next chapter might not be what you expected later on, but it will depend on what I find out. Anyway, before I end this chapter, I have one question to ask of you all. At the final battle, should it be Huntress that defeats Regime Superman, or leave it to the good Superman? Answer in either a review or message. That's all for tonight, see ya.
