Hello everyone, here it is! Another story and this time, a crossover of Pokémon and Samurai Warriors. And no, it isn't Pokémon Conquest, it's a story where Ash becomes a samurai. I've kinda always had this story idea for a long time and I've always enjoyed Samurai Warriors as it was one of my favorite games. I've played a few games of Samurai Warriors and games that involved it. Samurai Warriors 4, Samurai Warriors 4-II, Samurai Warriors 4 Empires, Samurai Warriors Spirit of Sanada, Samurai Warriors Chronicles 3, Pokémon Conquest, Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate, Warriors Orochi 4 Ultimate and Warriors All Star. I've even played a few Dynasty Warriors games, even Dynasty Warriors 9. I've even seen Sengoku Musou and the Sengoku Basara games and tv shows.
I've learned a lot about it and really liked it. Unfortunately, I never got the chance to play any of the Samurai Warrior games before 4, but I've watched a few videos of them. Now, this story will have a few events from Samurai Warriors 4, Samurai Warriors 4-II, Samurai Warriors 4 Empires, Samurai Warriors Spirit of Sanada and Samurai Warriors Chronicles 3, but there will be many changes. You'll see some examples of the changes soon, so be just a bit patient.
Now, I've got something to tell you all. See, I've been going over Samurai Warrior plans with a writer named Author of Mystery, someone who is doing a Samurai Warriors story himself. We've become friends during our planning together and he has even given me permission to use his Samurai Warriors oc character, Hidetaka Tokugawa in my story. I swear I'm not lying, he really did give me permission.
Now, enjoy the very first chapter of my Samurai Warriors story, Samurai Warriors: Changing Destiny.
Chapter 1: A land in chaos.
(Prologue)
In a black world, the Sanada Clan symbol shined in the middle of the dark world.
"From a mythical world, a boy and his longtime friend were brought into the world of samurais."
The Sanada Clan Symbol disappeared and was replaced by the top of a shape weapon. The weapon was revealed to be an Ōdachi, held in the right hand of a handsome tanned skin man with black hair, brown eyes, wearing red and white knight-like armor with a cape attached to his shoulders. On the man's left shoulder was a yellow mouse with red checks, black eyes and a tail in the shape of a lightning bolt with sparks coming out of its checks. Behind the two were 4 shadows, before the darkness cleared to reveal them to be (Adult) Masayuki Sanada, (Youth) Yukimura Sanada, (Youth) Nobuyuki Sanada and Kunoichi.
"Thrust into a world full of chaos with no way home, the boy and his friend were taken in by a member of the famous Sanada Clan and were adopted into the family. The boy changed his name as a vow and a symbol. A vow to protect his new family, and a symbol of being a member of the Sanada clan. Now as a warrior, he fights for his family and his friends."
A flash of light came out of nowhere and went over the 5, showing different times of the boy's life. The first showed the boy, down on his knees in a different sort of armour with the mouse-like creature besides him, looking up at Masayuki Sanada as he held his left hand out towards the boy while he held his poleaxe with his right hand.
It then changed to show the boy clashing against Nobunaga Oda in a weapon's lock, holding his Ōdachi with both hands, while Nobunaga held the Samonji with just his right hand. The boy glared into Nobunaga's soulless eyes as he tried with all his might to overpower the Demon King.
"Can the boy and his creature change destiny itself to keep his family and friends connected, even from the tyranny of chaos and peace itself? The legend of Ash Ketchum, now Satoshi Sanada, the Knight of Another World and his Pokémon partner, Pikachu, is about to begin!"
The screen changed to show Satoshi, Yukimura and Nobuyuki all standing together in a triangle formation, each holding two coins in their right hands up with the 3 brothers each having a determine smile on their faces. Lastly, Satoshi and Kunoichi were standing in front of each other, their arms wrapped around each other as they gazed lovingly into each other's eyes.
Another flash of light swiped over the visions, before it changed to show Satoshi in a stance, holding his Ōdachi with both his hands with Pikachu on his left shoulder with Masayuki, Yukimura, Nobuyuki and Kunoichi behind him with the words "Changing Destiny" on his left.
"Changing Destiny".
The world then blacked out, leaving nothing left.
(Prologue finished)
The sky was orange as the sun began to set for the day, and over Edo Castle. Down below at the streets of the castle, Tokugawa soldiers were sitting down on the ground, keeping their spears close as they rest for the final showdown between Western Army and Eastern Army. Meanwhile, at a bench at the top of the castle, the leaders of the Tokugawa were gathered.
Standing right at the edge with his hands on the railing was the Tokugawa's old leader, (Adult) Ieyasu Tokugawa, staring out into the distance. Standing on his right was his son, Hidetada Tokugawa, who had his arms crossed with a frown on his face. On his left was his son-in-law, (Adult) Nobuyuki Sanada, who was looking out into the horizon with a conflicted look. Behind the two was his oldest and adopted child, Hidetaka Tokugawa, with his twin katanas "Heavenly Twin Blade" already in their scabbards and strapped to his waist.
Behind the four, inside the castle were the Eastern Army's top generals. Ieyasu's adoptive daughter and Nobuyuki's wife, Ina, Hanzo Hattori, the ruler of Oshu, Masamune Data, Takatora Tōdō, the former lady of the Hojo, Lady Hayakawa, Munenori Yagyū, Magoichi Saika, Kojūrō Katakura and Kanbei Kuroda, all watching the three.
"This battle… will put an end to it". The old Tokugawa leader said with his eyes slightly narrowed, his hands turning into fists as they rested on the railing. "No". Hidetada stated, getting everyone's attention as they turned to look at him and saw him staring out towards the distance outside of Edo Castle. "So long as those three still remain, there'll never be peace". The sword wielder told his comrades, receiving nods of agreement from them all, while Hidetaka gave an excited smirk on his face.
Not too far away from Edo Castle, the Western Army all stood ready for their final confrontation with the Eastern Army. Soldiers stood ready with their weapons in hand, archers were readying their bows and arrows, rifleman were readying their rifles and cavalrymen readying their horses. At the edge of a mountain overlooking Edo Castle were the leaders of the Western Army, standing side by side as they stared at the castle.
The leader of the Western Army, Mitsunari Ishida was standing right at the edge of the cliff, tapping the "Golden Splendor" against his left hand repeatedly with his right hand. Besides him were his strategists and friends, Sakon Shima standing on his left, and Yoshitsugu Ōtani on his right. Behind Mitsunari was his 'family', his 'mother' Nene and his 'brothers', Kiyomasa Katō and Masanori Fukushima, all staring at Mitsunari's back with proud looks.
Standing not too far on Mitsunari's right was the Goddess of Thunder, Ginchiyo Tachibana and her husband, the God of Wind, Muneshige Tachibana, both staring off at Edo Castle. Besides them was their former rival, the Devil Shimazu, Yoshihiro Shimazu, who had his arms crossed and his slightly narrowed eyes directed at the Tokugawa base of operations. Finally, next to them was the former officer of the Hojo, Kai, who looked pumped up for the final battle.
And not too far on Mitsunari's left was the leader of the Uesugi, Kagekatsu Uesugi. Standing behind him was his birth mother Aya, his trusted officer Kanetsugu Naoe and the vagabond, Keiji Maeda, all staring off at Edo Castle. Next to them was the former ninja of the Hojo, Kotaro Fuma and the bewitching beauty, Koshōshō.
Finally, standing a few feet behind Mitsunari and his group were the members of the Sanada Army. Standing in front of the group were the leaders of the Sanada Clan. On the left was (Adult) Yukimura Sanada, tightly holding with his right hand the spear "Blazing Storm Spear" with his cape slightly blowing in the breeze. On the right was Yukimura's older adopted brother, Satoshi Sanada, otherwise known as Ash Ketchum, in his red and white Holy Knight Armor with his helmet on. He was resting his Ōdachi weapon, "The Great Serpent Slayer" on his left shoulder and finally, his trusted partner Pikachu was resting on his right shoulder.
Standing besides Yukimura on his left was his wife, Lady Chacha, who was looking up at her husband with gentle eyes. Standing a little bit away from the married couple was Yukimura's second ninja, Sasuke, who had a determine look on his face, ready to fight against his master, Hanzo very soon.
Standing besides Satoshi on his right was his own wife and Yukimura's first ninja, Kunoichi, who was resting her left hand on her husband's right hand and was looking at him with slightly worried eyes.
The leaders of the Western Army all looked at Edo Castle, ready for the final conflict against the Eastern Army and to decide the fate of the land. Satoshi turned his head left and right to look at his comrades, before finally turning to look at his wife and gave her a gentle smile, one that Kunoichi returned. The Knight of Another World then turned to look at his trusted partner Pikachu, who looked at his old friend with a confident look on his face.
The two then nodded to each other, before they looked up at the sunset above them, their minds thinking back to when their journey in this world began so long ago.
(Many years ago)
The sky was orange as the sun began to set for the day for the Pokémon World. The sunset's orange glow was extremely beautiful today with Vermilion City having the best spot to watch the sunset. Outside of the Cerise Laboratory at the battlefield, a young man was watching the sunset with his trusted Pokémon partner. The boy's name was Ash Ketchum and on his left shoulder was his number 1 Pokémon partner and starter, Pikachu, both watching the sunset for the day.
The two partners have been together ever since Ash started his journey so long ago. They've traveled far, traveling across the Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, Kalos and Alola Region, even traveling around the Galar Region from time to time. They've accomplished much in their time together, even became the first champions of the Alola Region, but they've chosen to keep quiet about that as they don't like to gloat about their achievements. They made many friends; both humans and Pokémon, even saved the world a couple of times. Not too long ago, Ash had become a research assistant of the Cerise Laboratory and has been residing there for a while.
During their time here, Ash and Pikachu had joined an event called the Pokémon World Championships in hopes of battling the strongest trainer and Champion of the Galar Region, Leon. They've come far and recently made it to the Ultra Class. But they still had a long way to go. In their time as research assistants of the Cerise Laboratory, they became friends with Professor Cerise, the man in charge, his daughter Chloe and fellow research assistants with a boy named Goh. Ash has even caught new Pokémon. He caught a Dragonite, an unusual coloured Gengar, a Lucario that he's raised since it was an Egg and a Riolu, a Sirfetch'd that evolved from a Galar Farfetch'd and a Dracovish. Ash and Pikachu have been through a lot since becoming research assistants of the Cerise Laboratory.
Earlier that day, Ash, Pikachu and their friends, Goh and his Grookey had traveled to the Unova Region to accept a challenge from Ash's old friend and former traveling companion, Iris. To their great surprise, they learned that Iris had become the new Unova Region Champion, and that was proven in their battle as she almost defeated Ash. She had used her Dragonite and her fully evolved Haxorus against Ash's Dragonite and Dracovish, but Ash obtained victory with his Dragonite learning Draco Meteor.
Now, just an hour ago, Ash, Pikachu, Goh and Grookey had returned to the Kanto Region and back to Vermilion City. Goh had rushed into the lab to see Professor Cerise and if Chloe were home, while Ash had gone to Cerise Park to let Dragonite and Dracovish out, before going off to look at the sunset with Pikachu joining him.
Right now, the two partners were sitting down on the ground as they looked up at the sunset above them. "Sure is a pretty sunset today, don't you think Pikachu?" Ash asked his best friend with a smile on his face, looking up at the sun with his rested on the ground behind him. "Pika pika". The Electric Type answered his partner with a smile, sitting down on his ear end and looking up at the sky.
As Ash continued to stare up at the sky, his mind wondered back to his past and all the adventures he's been through, and all kinds of threats he's faced in the past. All the battles he's faced, and all the friends he's made. Growing a smile on his face, Ash turned to look at his starter Pokémon. "We've really come a long way, haven't we, Pikachu?" The Alola Region Champion questioned his number 1 partner, getting Pikachu to look up at his trainer with a confused look.
"Pikachu?" Pikachu said in a confused voice, wondering why his trainer brought that up. Ash then looked back up at the sky. "We've been through lots of adventures since we set out from Pallet Town, and met a lot of people and Pokémon. Alola has been the most memorable so far, don't you think?" Ash questioned his partner Pokémon once more, getting Pikachu to smile, before he nodded in agreement.
Ash thought back to his adventure in the Alola Region and how much he learned in his travels there. It was his favorite region for three reasons. The first reason was simple; he really experienced what it felt like to have a completely family with Professor Kukui and Professor Burnet. He had no knowledge of his biological father and was raised all by his biological mother, so he really loved his time with Kukui and Burnet as his Alola family.
His second reason was simple as well. It was the region where he won his first Pokémon League Championships. True, it wasn't like the other championships that he's participated in the past, but that doesn't change the fact that he might be the youngest trainer to have ever won a championship tournament. Especially since it was the first Pokémon League of the Alola region and he became the first Alola Champion. He then proved his strength even more when he battled the strongest trainer in the Alola region, his father figure Professor Kukui, who had been revealed to be the Mask Royal.
Their battle was a full six-on-six battle and that was one heck of a battle that Ash won't be forgetting. Kukui's last Pokémon had been the guardian deity of Melemele Island, Tapu Koko, who had requested to battle Ash and Pikachu. It was just like his battle against Tobias, but unlike back then, Ash and Pikachu obtained victory and defeated the Legendary Pokémon. That battle had been one of the best battles that he's ever been apart of, and he would never forget it.
His third reason was more personal, and one that he gained not too long ago. After his journey in Alola and his return to Kanto, he had received a letter from his Alola family and learned that Professor Brunet was pregnant. That came as a shock to Ash. If he had knew that she was pregnant before he left, he would have stayed longer to help look after her. He offered to return to Alola and help look after Burnet, but his Alola family reassured him that they'd be alright without him.
Despite his concerns, he decided to trust in his Alola family and continue his journey. Later on, he returned to Alola with Goh to visit his Alola family and reunited with Professor Kukui and Burnet, and met the new member of their family. Kukui and Burnet's son, Lei. Ash felt happy to finally meet the new member of the family, and that happiness grew when Burnet called him Lei's big brother.
Ever since he was young, Ash had always wanted a little sibling, and he felt great happiness at finally having his dream come true, in a way. Ever since then, he's made lots of calls to check in on his family. It's been sometime since he visited, but he was glad to hear that they were doing well.
Still, he was still unhappy about something. He wasn't happy that he wasn't part of Lei's everyday life, helping to raise the little guy into a stronger trainer one day. He wanted to be a part of any sibling of his, everyday life to help raise them and protect them. So, to not be a part of Lei's everyday life and help raise him, really disappointed Ash.
The Alola Champion gave out a deep sigh, before he grew a small, weak smile. "Oh well. I can still visit them whenever I want and teach Lei what I've learned from our journeys". Ash remarked as he folded his hands behind his head and lied down on the ground. Pikachu grew a concern look on his face, before he leaned down and landed on all four feet.
The Electric-Type then walked over to his partner's head. "Pika pi". Pikachu said in concern, getting Ash to turn his head right to look at his partner and gave him a smile. "Don't worry about me, Pikachu. Just thinking about our future". The Alola Champion told his starter with a reassuring smile, before he looked back up at the sky.
He didn't exactly lie to his partner; his thoughts had just shifted to his future and wondered what it would bring. As Ash continued to look up at the orange sky, he widened his eyes upon seeing some sort of flashing star in the sky. "Is that some sort of star?" The Alola Champion questioned in surprise, getting Pikachu to tilt his head in confusion. "Pika?" The Electric-Type said in confusion, before he looked up and saw the flashing star in the air.
Ash sat up from the ground and kept looking at the flashing star, which for some reason, was growing a little bit bigger by the second. Ash and Pikachu both stared at the growing flash star as it continued to grow into something bigger than it should. The two then widened their eyes as they realized that wasn't a star of any sorts. Before they could react, the flashing light came down upon them and was revealed to be a pillar of flashing light instead.
The pillar of light remained for a few seconds, before it cleared to reveal both Ash and Pikachu gone completely. Unknown to his friends and families, Ash and his partner would be gone for a long time for them.
(Unknown)
Both Ash and Pikachu had their eyes shut tightly as they waited to feel some sort of pain inflicted upon them. However, after a few moments of feeling nothing, the two grew curious and decided to open their eyes. Ash and Pikachu then proceeded to cry out in surprise upon seeing themselves somehow floating in space.
"PIKA PI!" Pikachu cried out in surprise, flailing his arms around. "WHAT'S GOING ON!? HOW ARE WE IN SPACE!?" Ash questioned in complete shock, wondering just what was going on. Just then, a bright light appeared out of nowhere in front of the two partners, causing them to shut their eyes once more. After a few moments, the bright light died down, allowing them to open their eyes to see what was the cause of it.
The two then widened their eyes in complete shock upon seeing the god of Pokémon, Arceus, floating in front of them with a gold aura surrounding him. "ARCEUS!" Ash shouted out in shock at seeing the god of Pokémon again after so long. "PIKACHU PI!" Pikachu cried out in shock as well, causing Arceus to grow an amused look on his face.
"It is good to see you two again, Ash and Pikachu". The god of Pokémon greeted the two with a friendly tone, getting Ash and Pikachu to lose their shock and replace it with joy at seeing their old friend again. "You can say that again. It's been a long time, Arceus". Ash greeted the Legendary Pokémon back with a grin on his face. "Pikachu". Pikachu greeted, waving his right hand at the God of Pokémon with a small smile.
"So, what's up Arceus? You didn't need to go through all of this just to see us". Ash told the Legendary Pokémon with a smile. The God of Pokémon's face fell at his friend's words, something that Ash and Pikachu took notice of. "Arceus? Is something wrong?" The Pokémon Trainer asked in concern, worried for his friend. "Pikachu pi?" Pikachu said in concern as well, getting Arceus to weakly smile at them, though it was hard to tell as he didn't have a mouth.
"I wished that all of this was just to see you two again, but I'm afraid it isn't as simple as that. Ash, Pikachu, I have a favour to ask of you two". Arceus told the two with a deadly serious voice, getting confused looks from both Ash and Pikachu. "Umm… sure? What is it?" The Pokémon Trainer questioned in confusion, getting Arceus to narrow his eyes at the human boy. "Don't accept this request so thoughtlessly. You need to see what I'm asking you before you agree to it!" Arceus told the Pokémon Trailer with a slightly angered voice, getting Ash and Pikachu to flinch as they realized that this was indeed something serious if their old friend was acting like this.
Arceus turned his head left, before his eyes gleamed. A white mist then appeared a little bit away, getting Ash and Pikachu to look at it in confusion. Arceus's eyes stopped gleaming, before he turned to look at the two that saved his life not too long ago. "What I'm about to show you two involves the favour I'm asking you. To please, remain calm with what you're about to see". The God of Pokémon told the two as he turned to face the mist, missing Ash and Pikachu's confused looks, before they looked at the mist as well. The mist then began showing a sort of vision to the three.
Inside the mist was a single planet that looked like their planet. "This is another planet, one different than our own". Arceus told the two partners, getting Ash and Pikachu to gasp in surprise. "Another world? That's so cool!" The young boy exclaimed in amazement, getting Arceus to shake his head in denial. "From the outside, that may be. But from the inside, you wouldn't think that". The God of Pokémon told Ash and Pikachu, getting confused looks from the two once more.
Arceus then turned to fully face the two partners. "This world is different than yours. One of the major differences is that there are no Pokémon in this world". The God of Pokémon revealed to the two, making Ash and Pikachu cry out in shock. "Are you kidding me!? No Pokémon!?" Ash exclaimed in shock, which was mirrored by Pikachu. The mist's vision then showed what appeared to be a view of a land connected with two separate lands that were close by to the big one.
"This land is called Japan, and it is in an age of chaos". Arceus told the two partners with slightly narrowed eyes, getting Ash and Pikachu to frown in confusion. "Pika?" Pikachu said in confusion, unable to understand what Arceus meant by that. "What do you mean age of chaos?" Ash asked in confusion, having no idea what his old friend meant by 'age of chaos'. Arceus gave a sigh with his eyes closed; having foresaw that he'd need to explain it to his old friends clearly for them to understand.
Arceus opened his eyes and looked down at his two friends. "In this world, this land is divided and ruled by different people called Daimyos. It is an age of human warriors called samurais and ninjas". The God of Pokémon told the two as the misty changed to show an open field. On two separate sides, facing each other were thousands of armoured humans. The two sides had different colours to each, the one on the left being white, and the other being a red colour.
The thousands of men on both sides were clad in samurai armor and wielded many different weapons such as swords, spears, bows, arrows and rifles. There were even a few of them ridding atop houses as well. Ash and Pikachu frowned at seeing, before watching as the soldiers of both armies let out battle cries as they charged towards each other.
Then, the two witnessed the most shocking thing they've ever seen.
The soldiers of both sides then proceeded to kill each other. They samurais of the two armies attacked their opponents with their weapons. Ash and Pikachu saw the samurais cut down their enemies with their swords and spears, shoot arrows and their rifles at the enemy and even saw a few horses run a few over. "W-What… is this?" Ash questioned in horror with wide eyes, which was mirrored by Pikachu as he stared at what the mist was showing.
"This is the age of chaos I told you about. The samurais of this land fight each other like Pokémon battles, but unlike those, these battles involve people losing their lives. The samurai all fight for the sake of their lords, the Daimyos and their dreams. In this land, there are good people, who wish to unite the land to bring peace and that no more lives will be lost, while there are those who enjoy the chaos and taking lives. You could call this an age of heroes and villains. One of these heroes is a man called Shingan Takeda, who wishes to create a land of peace himself so that no more people will have to suffer". Arceus told the two partners about the world of samurais, how it's different and how it works. Ash and Pikachu were silent as they continued to watch the mist show more of the battle.
"B-but why…? If they all want peace, then why not just stop fighting and become friends?" Ash questioned with dread in his voice, getting Arceus to shake his head. "Like how Pokémon Trainers have different dreams, so too do the Daimyos. Some of them may want the same thing, but they don't trust each other to accomplish it. They fight for what they believe, and that's why they can't abandon their dreams. It would be like asking you to give up your dream of becoming a Pokémon Master". The God of Pokémon explained to his young friend, immediately silencing Ash as he realized what Arceus was saying.
"Ash, although this world doesn't have Pokémon like yours do, the two are similar in ways. The samurai, even the Daimyos have something that they have to fight for and to protect. That is why they fight, and are ready to spill blood. Don't think of them as heartless, Ash. They're just as every bit of human like you". The God of Pokémon told his old friend, causing both Ash and Pikachu to look down; thinking about what Arceus told them. After a few moments, Ash raised his head and looked at their friend.
"…What do you want me to do? Why show all of this to us?" The young Pokémon Trainer questioned the God of Pokémon, getting Arceus to lower his head with a hint of shame. "Because… I need you to go to this world yourself". Arceus answered, getting both Ash and Pikachu to widen their eyes in shock, before they fully turned to look up at him. "You… want me to go to this world?" The raven hair boy questioned the Legendary Pokémon in shock, while Pikachu was outraged by Arceus's request.
"PIKACHU PI PIKA!" The Electric-Type snapped with no care that he was shouting at the God of Pokémon, only outrageous that Arceus wanted to send his best friend to such a dangerous world where he could get killed. Arceus looked down at the angry Electric-Type with an understanding look at why he was so angry with him.

Arceus then turned to look at Ash and saw him still looking down with his bangs covering his eyes. "…If you wish to, you don't need to go". The God of Pokémon told his human friend, immediately getting Ash and Pikachu's attention as they looked up at him in shock. "I won't force you into something you have no wish to be a part of. I still owe you for returning the Jewel of Life to me". Arceus added, reminding Ash and Pikachu about how they saved his life.
Ash looked down in thought once more for a few moments, before he lifted his head and looked up at Arceus. "…If I do accept, what do you even want me to do?" Ash questioned the God of Pokémon, getting Pikachu to look at his partner in concern that he might actually decide to go to the dangerous world. Arceus looked back at the mist as it showed the land of Japan once more.
"I wish for you to help bring an end to the age of chaos and bring peace to this land. That is all I ask, you're free to do it however you like". Arceus told the young boy, getting Ash curious on what he meant by 'free to do it however you like' part. "What do you mean however I like?" The raven haired boy questioned his old friend, wanting an explanation on what Arceus meant.
"You can become a ruler and aim to unite the land yourself, or become the retainer of one of the Daimyos and help them unite the land themselves. You are free to choose whatever path you wish, serve whoever you want. It is your choice, your path to follow". The God of Pokémon explained to the young raven haired boy, getting Ash to slightly widen his eyes in surprise, before he narrowed them once more.
"What about my Pokémon journey?" Ash questioned Arceus with a worried voice, concerned that he would be forced to abandon his Pokémon journey. "Do not worry. I spoke with Dialga and he has agreed to slow time so that only one day will past in your world for however long you're in the other world". The God of Pokemon reassured his young friend, getting Ash to smile in relief, before it dropped upon realizing something.
"But… I'll age there. If it takes too long, then I…" Ash began before he stopped himself, unable to finish that sentence as he felt fear grip his heart. Once again, Arceus had a solution for his old friend. "Do not worry. Thanks to some assistance, we've created another body for you to use in your time in that world". The God of Pokémon told his human friend with a reassuring voice, getting Ash and Pikachu to widen their eyes in shock.
"Another body!?" The raven haired boy exclaimed in shock, which Arceus nodded to him. "That is correct. It'll be like an exact copy of your original one, only more suited for that world. Your original body will remain in your world, undisturbed and just the way it'll be left. And do not worry about your means of return. We've made certain that once peace has been restored to Japan, we will return you back to your world. And if you die there, don't worry because your soul will be transferred over to your original body". Arceus told his friend with a kind voice, getting Ash to sigh in relief, while Pikachu still had a worried look on his face.
"Ash… I know full well what I'm asking you for. I'm asking you into a life where you risk your life on a battlefield, kill people, spent perhaps years away from your friends and family and most of all, live with blood on your hands. But still, I ask that you travel to this world and end this age of chaos. Innocent people are dying, families are being broken, and even people are forced to kill the ones they love in this age of chaos. Tell me your answer, and I will respect whatever choice you make". The God of Pokémon told his human friend with pure respect in his voice, before he floated a little bit back from Ash and Pikachu.
(Music end)
Ash looked down, deep in thought for a few moments, before he lifted his head and looked at the mist as it continued to show the land of Japan. The young boy continued to look at the mist for a few moments, before he turned to look up at Arceus with narrowed eyes. "I'll go to this other world!" Ash declared, making Pikachu gasped in horror with his hands over his mouth.
Arceus, on the other hand, narrowed his eyes at the raven haired boy. "Do you realize what you're agreeing to become apart of? You'll be apart of battles where you could die, spend years in that world, and perhaps even fail at your task. Knowing all that, do you still intend to go through with this decision?" The God of Pokémon questioned the raven haired boy, wanting to know if Ash had the resolve to go through with this without any regrets.
Ash wasted no time having second thoughts. "I understand fully what I'm getting myself into, but I have to do it. People are suffering, and I can't enjoy life, knowing that. That's why I have to go to this world and help bring an end to this age of chaos. I have no doubt that I'm going to struggle with this, but I have every intention of staying alive to fulfill my goal of bringing peace to this world". Ash told the God of Pokémon with his voice full of resolve, which honestly surprised Arceus and Pikachu.
Arceus looked down into Ash's eyes and saw the conviction within them. The God of Pokémon grew a pleased expression on his face at seeing no trace of fear in Ash's eyes and knew that he intended to walk down this path. He grew a pleased expression on his face at seeing his old friend's resolve. "Very well then. I have seen your resolve and will send you to the world of samurais". The God of Pokémon declared, getting Ash to grow a confident smirk on his face.
Before the raven haired boy could say anything, Pikachu released a cry. "Pika! Pikachu pi!" The Electric-Type cried out in rage, getting both Ash and Arceus's attention as they turned to face him. "What's wrong Pikachu?" Ash asked his partner in concern, getting Pikachu to look up at him and scowled at him. "Chu pi! Pikachu pika!" Pikachu snapped at his partner, making Ash take a step back in surprise at his partner's sudden change of attitude.
Arceus, on the other hand, slightly narrowed his eyes at the small Electric Mouse Pokémon. "Pikachu… do you even know what you're asking?" The God of Pokémon questioned the Electric-Type, getting Ash to look up at him with a confused look. "What did Pikachu say?" The raven haired boy questioned the Legendary Pokémon, getting Arceus to look down at the young human boy.
"Pikachu says that he wishes to come with you to the other world". The God of Pokémon revealed to Ash, making him gasp in shock as he turned to look at his starter. "Pikachu, you can't be serious! Who knows how long I'll be there, and I could die! If you come with me, you'll be in the same kind of danger!" Ash told his best friend with a concerned voice, wanting Pikachu to stay in their world where it'll be safe for him.
"Pikachu pi pika!" Pikachu snapped at his partner once more, getting Ash to turn to look up at Arceus. "He said that he doesn't care about the dangers. He refuses to allow you to face a dangerous world like this alone, and that nothing you say can change his mind". Arceus translated for his friend, getting the raven haired boy to frown in concern as he turned to look at Pikachu.
The two partners spend a few moments staring at each other for a few moments in silence, until Ash broke it. "Pikachu… there's no turning back once the choice is made. I have no intention of backing down from the choice I'm about to make. Can the same be said about you?" The raven haired boy questioned his partner with his eyes narrowed, which Pikachu instantly nodded to him.
"Pikachu pika". Pikachu answered Ash with a confident grin on his face, getting the Pokémon Trainer to grow a smile on his face. "You're right. We've gone through everything together, and this won't be any different". The raven haired boy said with a grin as he held his left hand out towards Pikachu. The Electric-Type Pokémon grew a massive smile on his face, before he leaped onto his trainer's hand and ran up to his left shoulder, rubbing his cheek against Ash's, getting the raven haired boy to chuckle.
Ash then turned to look at Arceus, who had watched the two of them with a pleased expression. "Can something be done for Pikachu as well?" The raven haired boy asked the God of Pokémon, wanting to know if something could be done for Pikachu. Arceus gave a nod, already having something in mind. "Do not worry. I'll have Dialga make it so that Pikachu will never age in your time in that world". The God of Pokémon reassured his friend, getting the two partners to sigh in relief. Arceus then looked back at the mist and stared at the land of Japan for a moment, before he looked back at his friends.
"Are you two absolutely sure that this is your choice? Once made, you cannot return home until either peace has returned to Japan, or you've died in that world, Ash. There will be no second chances, so is this really your choice?" Arceus questioned his friends with a voice as cold as ice. Ash and Pikachu narrowed their eyes, no hint of fear, or doubt in them. "We're sure of this. As long as we're together, we can do overcome anything that comes our way". Ash told the God of Pokémon with a confident grin on his face.
"Pikachu pi!" Pikachu cried out in agreement from his partner's shoulder. Arceus grew a pleased expression at seeing the determination in their eyes, now finally sure of their decision. The mist that showed the land of Japan disappeared, while a small gold aura appeared over Ash and Pikachu, causing them to look down at themselves. "Suffering and pain await you both in this journey, but so does happiness and joy. You may forget this, but know that I'll always be watching you two in your journey. May fortune smile on you two in your long journey". Arceus told the two partners, getting Ash and Pikachu to look up at him, before they suddenly began to feel drowsy.
The quickly lost all energy as they fell unconscious. The last thing that they saw was Arceus's sad look and unknowingly, the last thing of their world for a long time.
(Sanada Homeland: Ruined Temple)
Ash felt sunshine on his face, getting him to groan as he slowly opened his eyes. He saw the sun shining high in the sky above him, getting him to slowly groan as he shut his right eye from the light. He slowly reopened his right eye, before he looked back at the sun. 'Is this… that world that Arceus told me about?' Ash said in his mind, having no idea if he was in the world that Arceus told him about.
A familiar voice groaned next to Ash's head on his right, getting him to turn his head left to see Pikachu, unconscious right next to him. "Pikachu!" Ash exclaimed weakly as he lifted his left hand and was about to place it on his partner's back, only to stop and widen his eyes upon seeing something unexpected. He had a gauntlet on his left hand over a red fingerless glove with white trips.
Ash sat up from the ground, keeping his wide eyes on his gauntlet left arm. It was a combination of colours such as red, yellow and orange. The young boy then looked down at his body and his shock grew bigger upon seeing himself wearing armor of the same colour combination as his gauntlet. (Battle Armor set/ red) He had red trousers underneath his belt with yellow pouches on the back of it. He had red leg guards as well and black socks of sorts. He had another gauntlet on his right arm, identical to his first one. Finally, on his left shoulder was a red and yellow shoulder pauldron.
"...Is this that new body that Arceus told me about?" Ash questioned, staring at his hands as he held them up. His set of clothes wasn't the only things that had changed; his body was different as well. His skin, eyes and hair were the same colour as his previous body, but they were different now. His hair longer pointed out to the sides and was flat, but he now had three bangs hanging over his right eye. His nose has gotten a bit bigger, but didn't look anything out of the ordinary. Finally, his new body was a little bit bigger than his normal one, being a head taller than Ash's normal one.
A groan then caught Ash's attention, getting him to look back at his Pokémon partner and saw Pikachu slowly beginning to awake. "Ahh! Pikachu!" The raven haired boy exclaimed in concern, temporarily forgetting his surprise as he placed his left hand on Pikachu's back. "Pi…ka". The Electric Mouse groaned out, before he slowly opened his eyes and saw his best friend. However, instead of his usual body, Pikachu saw Ash's new body and was shocked.
"PIKA!" Pikachu cried out in shock as he shot up into the air, before landing 10 feet away from Ash and landed on all four feet, glaring at his partner with his cheeks pulsating with electricity. Ash widened his eyes in surprise, before he pulled himself to his feet. He held his hands up in a peaceful manner to show his best friend that he meant no harm. "Pikachu, calm down! It's me, Ash!" Ash told his best friend in a slightly pleading voice, hoping his partner recognized him.
Pikachu frowned in confusion at his best friend's words, before he narrowed his eyes and took a good look at Ash's face. After a few moments of staring, Pikachu widened his eyes as he realized that the person in front of him was his partner. "Pikachu pi!" The Electric Mouse cried out in surprise, getting up on two feet and pointed towards Ash with his right hand's index finger.
Ash grew a nervous smile on his face at Pikachu's reaction, although he understood why he reacted like that. "Surprising, I know. This has to be the body that Arceus told us about'". The raven haired boy told his partner, turning to look down at his gauntlet hands for a moment, before he looked back up at Pikachu. "How about you? Do you feel anything different?" Ash questioned his partner, wanting to check if there was anything different about his partner.
"Pika?" Pikachu said in confusion, before he looked across his body to see if anything had changed. To his surprise, nothing was different at all. The Electric Mouse turned to look back up at Ash and shook his head in response. Ash grew a thoughtful look on his face as he held his chin with his right hand. 'Arceus said that he'd have Dialga do something to Pikachu to keep him from aging in our time in this world. Guess whatever Dialga did while we were knocked out didn't do anything to Pikachu's appearance'. The former Pokémon Trainer thought to himself, before he let go of his chin.
"Can you still use your powers? Any of your moves?" Ash questioned his best friend, receiving a nod from Pikachu as he grew a confident smirk on his face. "Pikachu pi!" Pikachu replied to Ash, before he leaped into the air. The Electric Mouse conducted electricity from his cheeks, causing his whole body to be surrounded in electricity, before he gave out a cry as he unleashed Thunderbolt at the
Pikachu's Thunderbolt struck the ground and created a small explosion, along with a creator. Ash looked down at the creator with a smile, while Pikachu landed on his right shoulder with a smile on his face. "It's a relief to see that you can still use your moves". Ash said in relief, getting Pikachu to let out a small cry of agreement, before he nuzzled his partner's cheek with his own.
Ash gave a comforting rub on Pikachu's head with his right hand, before he turned around and looked at the path in front of him. He saw a dirty walkway of sorts down to a gate with 5 lanterns at the sides, right next to 5 red columns at each side, which connected at the top to create a temple-like entrance.
Ash then looked over his left shoulder to see an almost destroyed temple behind him. Ash didn't know if it was the result of a fight, or a fire. "Wonder what happened to this place?" The raven haired boy said in slight sadness for the temple. "Pikachu pika". The Electric-Type said in pity, thinking that the temple must have been beautiful before it was destroyed. Ash gave a nod of agreement, before turning around to look at the gate down the walkway.
Ash then looked up at the sky above them and saw that it wasn't orange like in his world, meaning that it wasn't late afternoon. "…So, this is that world that Arceus told us about. The world of samurais". The raven haired stated with slightly narrowed eyes, receiving a nod of agreement from his partner.
Ash then looked down at the gate, before he began walking down the walkway towards it. "Before we get started, let's figure out where we are first". The former Pokémon Trainer suggested to his partner, before looking down at his armour as it felt incredible comfortable and not tight at all. "Pikachu!" Pikachu exclaimed in agreement as Ash walked down the walkway, before walking past the gate into the unknown.
(A few minutes later/ Windy Valley Path)
Ash has been walking down a road in the forest for a few minutes now with Pikachu still on his right shoulder. It has been peaceful for the two so far with no sounds, or sights of any other humans so far, but the two kept their guard up. Eventually, the two walked past another gateway and came across a crossway. One path lead straight forward, while the other lead right.
Ash and Pikachu looked at the two paths in front of them, before they turned to look at each other in confusion. "Well, this might be a problem. Which way should we go?" Ash questioned his partner, placing his fists against his hips as he thought about which path that they should take. Pikachu hummed in thought as he looked at the two paths, before he pointed towards the path that lead straight forward with his right hand.
Ash looked at the path that his partner was pointing towards, before he shrugged. "Well, nothing ventured, nothing gained". The young boy stated, before he began walking down the path forward. After a few steps, Ash stopped walking upon seeing a bolder blocking the path forward. Before he could say anything, Pikachu got his attention by crying out and pointing left with his left hand, getting Ash to turn his head to see another gate to his left that lead deeper into the forest.
"Well… this forest is tricky". The raven haired male remarked with an eyebrow lifted, getting Pikachu to cross his arms and nod in agreement. Before the two could say anything else, the peaceful silence was broken by the scream of a woman that came from the pathway that Pikachu pointed to.
Both partners widened their eyes in surprise, before Ash acted upon instinct and ran down the gate, intending to find who it was that screamed out for help.
(Valley Bridge)
Ash ran past another gate, before he stopped running and slightly panted. In front of him and Pikachu was a bridge that connected to another side of the forest, over a small lake. On the other side of the bridge were a couple of armoured bandits, as well as giant purple armoured men that was really tall, surrounding a young teenage girl.
The young teenage girl had light skin and black hair and was wearing a red kimono. She had a frightened look on her face as all the bandits surrounded her in a circle, blocking her path of escape. The normal sized bandits were wielding one-handed swords, while the big giant ones were bare handed. They had wicked grins on their faces as they looked at her. Upon seeing them, Ash slightly widened his eyes as he felt some sort of wave erupted out of him. It was exactly like the wave he felt when his Lucario was still in his egg on the day that he battled that trainer with the Tauros.
Then, he felt several negative presences coming from the horde of bandits. He felt lust and greed from the bandits, while he felt fear from the teenage girl. "Well, aren't you a beautiful thing. How about you come with us? We'll give you a good time". One of the normal sized bandits said to the fallen girl, walking up in front of her. The bandit's words broke Ash from his trance as he repeatedly shook his head sideways to regain his focus.
The young girl began slowly backing away from the bandit, the look of fear still clear on her facial expression. "No thank you! My family is expecting me home any minute now, so I have to go". The female replied to the bandit as she climbed to her feet, before she turned around in an attempt to run. However, two separate bandits grabbed hold of her, before holding her by the arms and turned her back around to face their leader.
The girl screamed once more with her eyes shut as she attempted to break free of the bandits' hold, failed as they kept ahold of her arms, while their leader drew his sword with a wicked grin. "Well, I guess that they're gonna be disappointed in you for arriving home late. You and I are gonna have a nice, enjoyable night together". The bandit leader said with a grin full of lust on his face, before walking up in front of the girl.
The girl began desperately trying to break out of the bandits' hold, but kept failing. Ash and Pikachu watched with narrowed eyes and teeth gritted, full of anger at the bandits. Their anger increased tenfold as the bandit leader brought his sword up and pointed it at the girl's chest, before he slowly began to bring it down on the girl's kimono. Realizing what the bandit leader's intention was, Ash couldn't keep quiet any longer.
"Hey, leave her alone!" Ash shouted out, bringing his fists up to the sides as he caught the bandits' attention, along with the young girl's as they turned to look at Ash. All the bandits burst out laughing at the sight of Ash, while the girl grew a concerned look for him. "Oh no! It's a little kid! Whatever are we gonna do?" One of the bandits said in a sarcastic voice, causing himself and his comrades to laugh even harder than before.
Ash paid no mind to their laughter, his eyes focused solely on the bandit leader and the young girl. Pikachu slightly growled at the laughter directed at his partner, but kept quiet and stayed completely still on Ash's right shoulder. Eventually, the bandits all ceased their laughing with their leader looking at Ash with an amused expression.
"Run along kid, this is grownup business and it doesn't involve you. If you know what's good for you, you'll get lost". The bandit leader threatened Ash as he pointed his sword towards him. Ash didn't even flinch at the sword being pointed towards him, his eyes showing no hints of fear, only anger at what this man planned to do to the young woman. "If you think I'll just walk away and let you do whatever you want with that girl, you've got another thing coming!" The raven haired youth snapped at the bandit leader, holding up his right fist close to his face.
Unable to keep quiet any longer, Pikachu expressed his anger as well. "Pika pikachu pi!" Pikachu exclaimed in anger as he leaped from his partner's shoulder and landed on the ground in front of Ash, landing on all four feet. All the bandits gasped in shock upon seeing Pikachu, while the young girl stared at the adorable Pokémon with an adoring expression on her face. "W-What the hell is that thing!?" One of the bandits shouted out in shock as he, along with his comrades, stared at the Pokémon before them.
The bandit leader, however, looked at Pikachu with a look of greed on his face. "I don't know what the heck that thing is, but I want it". The man said with a dark grin as he pulled his sword away from the woman's kimono, no longer interested in her. "Boys! Bring me whatever that thing is, and kill the kid!" The bandit leader told his men, bringing his blade up and pointed the tip towards Pikachu, who glared at him.
10 of the normal sized bandits from the group all grew smirks on their faces as they began walking towards Pikachu. The Electric-Type let out a small growl at the approaching group, before his cheeks began sparking with electricity, something that went unnoticed by the bandits, but not by Ash. "Pikachu, wait-!" Ash called out to his partner, holding his left hand out in hopes to stop Pikachu.
However, his effort was in vein as Pikachu unleashed a Thunderbolt attack at the approaching group of bandits, immediately shocking them, before creating an explosion with all 10 bandits caught up in it. The remaining bandits all took a step back in shock at seeing Pikachu's powers; even the young woman had an expression of disbelief on her face at seeing the Pokémon's Thunderbolt attack. Ash looked at the cloud of smoke that the explosion had left with wide eyes, while Pikachu kept his look of anger on his face with his cheeks still conducting electricity, ready to fire another Thunderbolt attack.
The smoke of the explosion slowly cleared to reveal all 10 of the bandits all lying down in the middle of the bridge, which was somehow undamaged from Pikachu's Thunderbolt attack, all completely scorched. However, their eyes were completely white with no iris. One of the bandits walked towards one of his unconscious comrade and knelt down beside him. He grabbed hold of his comrade's left hand with his right and held it up.
The bandit eyed his comrade's hand for a moment, before he let it fall to the ground and turned to look at his leader. "He's dead". The bandit stated, making Ash and Pikachu widen their eyes in surprise, before they gained a hint of horror. Pikachu slowly stood up on his two feet, his eyes full of disbelief that he just killed 10 people. Ash looked at his partner's back in concern, knowing that this was something that Pikachu was gonna take hard.
The bandit leader however, had a look of pure greed on his face as he stared at Pikachu. "That creature… what incredible power it has… It must be mine! With its power, we can take whatever we want, even from Shingan Takeda himself!" The bandit leader exclaimed with a slightly crazy tone, before he pointed towards Pikachu with his sword's tip once more. "Everyone, capture that rat! I don't care how hurt it has to be, but I want that rat for myself!" The man commanded his fellow bandits, receiving angered nods from them all. The bandit leader's words caught Ash and Pikachu's attention as they focused on what was happening.
The two bandits that were holding the young girl tossed her side, before they drew their swords. Then, a few sword wielding bandits and giants charged towards Pikachu, getting the Electric-Type to narrow his eyes, before he fell down to all four feet. "Pikachu, Quick Attack!" Ash called out as he swiped his right hand out to the side.
Pikachu gave a cry, before he then took off running towards the group of bandits, leaving a silver trail of light behind it. Then, Pikachu disappeared from sight, before he reappeared and head butted one of the giant sumo warriors in the stomach, making him cry out in pain. Pikachu then disappeared, before he reappeared, tackling one of the normal size bandits in the stomach. Pikachu continued to disappear and reappear as he tackled all the approaching bandits, sending them all crashing onto the ground on their backs.
The bandits that Pikachu tackled to the ground all groaned in pain, while the remaining ones all gasped in disbelief at further seeing more of Pikachu's power. The bandit leader however, grew an even bigger look of greed on his face. "Amazing… I must have that rat for myself!" The bandit leader exclaimed as his eyes grew hungrier than before. He turned to look to his right at a few more of his comrades and pointed towards Pikachu.
"Use your rifles! Just make sure not to kill that thing!" The bandit leader snapped at his troops, getting a total of 20 bandits, 10 on both sides to return their swords to their scabbards, before they brought out rifles and took aim at Pikachu. Having heard the bandit leader, Ash turned and saw the now riflemen taking aim at Pikachu, making the former Pokémon Trainer widen his eyes in concern, before he looked at his partner.
"Pikachu! Jump into the air to dodge!" The raven haired boy told his Pokémon partner, getting Pikachu's attention as he looked over and saw the riflemen taking aim at him. The Electric Mouse leaped into the air as the riflemen fired at that exact moment, managing to dodge a second before they fired. Pikachu spun in mid-air, before he fell down to the ground and landed on all four feet 10 feet away to the right from where he previously was.
The bandit leader gritted his teeth in anger, before he sudden thought of an idea. He grew a massive grin on his face as he turned to look at Ash, who had his eyes focused on Pikachu. "Forget the rat! Aim for the kid!" The bandit leader commanded as he lifted his right hand and pointed towards Ash, catching everyone's attention and making both Ash and Pikachu widen their eyes in horror.
Five riflemen redirected their rifles and aimed them at Ash, who had wide eyes with a hint of fear in them. "Pikachu!" Pikachu cried out to his partner in deep concern, telling him to get out of the way. Acting on instinct, Ash threw himself to the left as the riflemen fired their rifles. Lucky for Ash, he just managed to avoid them. The raven haired boy landed on the ground and did a forward roll onto his knees, before he looked right, only to widen his eyes in horror upon seeing a single riflemen standing on the other side of the bridge, aiming his rifle at him.
"Pika!" Pikachu exclaimed in horror, before he tried to run towards his partner's side, only for his path to be blocked by two of the giant bandits. Ash stared at the single rifleman with wide eyes of horror as he began taking deep breaths, while the bandit leader grew a smirk at seeing the raven haired boy's fearful expression on his face. "Fire, and kill that brat!" The bandit leader commanded with a smirk on his face, holding up his right hand, before he brought it down, giving the signal to shoot.
The single rifleman grew a smirk as he was about to pull the trigger. However, out of nowhere, something came down from behind the rifleman and sliced through him, making the bandit cry out with his hands up, before he fell down to the ground, dead. Everyone widened their eyes in surprise as they turned to look at who it was that just saved Ash's life.
It was a middle age man donning red and black armor. The man's long hair was split coloured, being black on the left and white on the right, which was partly covered by a red hat with a gold pronged on the left side. He had a shoulder plate on his left shoulder, as well as a cloth hanging from his waist on his left. The shoulder plate and cloth had identical symbols of them, which were six golden coins. The man was holding a poleaxe out to the far left side with both his hands, with his weapon having a red banner with the same six golden coins symbol on the banner, along with a smaller version of it on the poleaxe.
The man spun his poleaxe around in his hands, before holding it in a stance with his right hand. He looked across the field, taking a moment to stare at Ash, who was staring at him with wide eyes, before he continued on. However, he stopped upon seeing Pikachu and slightly widened his eyes in surprise, before he narrowed them and continued on, until he turned his head left and looked at the bandit leader, who was looking at him with a shocked look on his face.
"So, you're the leader of these bandits causing trouble for the people around these parts. And now, you've even gone so low to attack unarmed children. How weak and pathetic you bandits are". The man said with an angry frown on his face, directed at the bandit leader, who's face turned bright red, before he pointed his sword at him.
"Who the hell are you to say that!?" The bandit leader questioned the unknown man in anger, getting his attention as he turned to look at the leader of the bandits with a smirk on his face. "…Masayuki Sanada…" The man revealed his name, making all the bandits, even the young girl that had stayed, gasp in surprise, while the bandit leader stared at Masayuki in horror, before he fell to the ground on his butt. The only ones that were acting normal were Ash and Pikachu, who were staring at Masayuki in curiosity.
Just then, Ash widened his eyes he felt another wave erupt out of him, before he felt Masayuki's presence. Unlike with the bandits, his presence was warm, comforting and welcoming. 'Who… is this guy?' The raven haired boy thought in confusion, his instincts telling him that Masayuki was a good person.
The bandit leader began scurrying away from Masayuki, who looked down at him with narrowed eyes. Whimpering, the bandit leader turned to look at his men, while pointing towards Masayuki with his right hand. "D-Don't just stand there! Kill him!" The bandit leader commanded his fellow bandits, which they all nodded to their leader.
5 riflemen aimed their rifles at Masayuki and took aim, while the due haired coloured man didn't even flinch at them. The riflemen fired, but Masayuki leaped into the air and dodged. Landing in a crouch in front of the surprised riflemen, Masayuki swung his poleaxe, effortlessly cutting through all of them, causing them all to cry out as they fell to the ground dead. Masayuki then turned his head right to see more of the bandits charging towards him.
Masayuki stood up on his feet fully, before some sort of white energy appeared around him, something that took Ash and Pikachu back in surprise. Then, to both of their amazement, Masayuki shot forth like a bullet towards the approaching bandits, throwing his poleaxe as it somehow spun around at a fast rate, slicing right through them, before returning to its owner.
Masayuki continued throwing his spinning poleaxe forward as he continued to charge through, before he leaped into the air, took ahold of his poleaxe, and swung his forward, slicing through a good number of the bandits and knocking them off their feet. The bandits that Masayuki sliced through fell to the ground and bounced off it, dead, while the Sanada warrior landed on his feet.
A single bandit charged towards Masayuki from behind, holding up his sword to bring it down on the Sanada Warrior's back with a battle cry. However, Masayuki spun around at the last second and knocked the bandit's sword out of his hands, before bringing his poleaxe down on the bandit. The bandit fell to the ground dead, while his mid-air sword spun around as it sailed through the sky, before it stabbed itself into the ground right next to Ash on his right.
Ash, still in his kneeling position with his left hand on his left knee, looked at the blade with wide eyes. However, he then noticed something past the blade, getting him to look past it, only to widen his eyes in horror. A single bandit was sneaking up behind an unsuspecting Pikachu, who was watching Masayuki in awe, holding his sword up with both his hands, intending to kill the Electric-Type. "Pikachu!" The raven haired youth exclaimed in concern, before he acted without thinking. He rose up to his feet and ran towards the bandit, picking up the sword by the handle with his left hand.
Ash quickly took hold of the sword's handle with both his hands as he ran as fast as he could to save his partner. Fortunately, he made it in time and blocked the bandit's sword swipe, the two blades making a clang sound upon impact. The sound caught Pikachu's attention, getting him to look over his left shoulder, before he cried out in surprise upon seeing his partner holding a sword just an inch above him, blocking the bandit's sword from slicing his back open.
The sound even caught the attention of the other bandits, the bandit leader, the young woman and Masayuki as they looked over and watched the whole exchange. The bandit that attempted to kill Pikachu turned his head to look at Ash and growled at him, who narrowed his eyes at the older man, before he looked down at Pikachu. "Pikachu, use Iron Tail!" The raven haired boy told his partner, getting Pikachu to narrow his eyes and nodded to his partner.
"Pika!" The Electric Mouse cried out as he jumped into the air, before his tail gleamed white. Pikachu spun around in the air, before he slammed his gleaming tail onto the bandit's head, smashing his face in. The bandit fell to the ground on his back, dead, taking his sword with him, while Ash straightened his posture with Pikachu landing on his left shoulder.
Masayuki looked at both Ash and Pikachu with an intrigued expression on his face, having seen the whole exchange and the Electric-Type's power. "Fascinating…" Masayuki whispered with an impressed look, before he looked at the remaining bandits as they charged towards him, including the giant sumo ones. "Time to finish this up". The Sanada warrior stated with his eyes narrowed dangerously.
With a burst of unknown energy around him, Masayuki took a crossover stance with his poleaxe. Then, he began moving, swinging his poleaxe in a swinging x motion. After the seventh swing, Masayuki first began rotating his poleaxe around his right hand, his weapon having a golden circular energy loop, before he ceased the rotating and transferred his poleaxe to his left arm. He then slammed the base of his poleaxe into the around, the banner blowing as if a breeze was blowing it.
"You're finished". Masayuki stated, before he then reared his left hand down and slightly crouched down. He then threw his poleaxe into the air with it spinning in a rotating circle, releasing a whirlwind of the golden energy, striking many of the bandits around Masayuki and lifting them off the ground. The golden energy disappeared with the air-born bandits spinning in the air, while Masayuki caught his poleaxe with his right hand. He spun around, then launched his poleaxe to the far right, slicing the air forward with golden energy that cut through the horde of bandits in front of him and launching them off their feet.
Ash and Pikachu had wide eyes, full of disbelief as they stared at Masayuki as he took his normal stance once more. "…Wow… I can't believe what I just saw. It was like he was a Pokémon". The raven haired boy commented in awe, having no idea how the poleaxe wielder unleashed such an incredible power. "Pika…" Pikachu said in agreement, having never thought a human could unleash an incredible power.
Just then, a horrified scream came out of nowhere, getting the two partners to look away from Masayuki and saw the bandit leader trying to sneak away, dragging the young woman with his left arm, who was screaming in fear as she tried to break free. "No!" Ash exclaimed with wide eyes, before he hurried towards the bandit leader. However, his path was blocked once more by a few of the remaining bandits.
Pikachu leaped off of his partner's shoulder and into the air. His body was then surrounded in yellow electricity and multiple yellow sparks came off of Pikachu's body. All the electricity then condensed at Pikachu's tail and formed into an orange-yellow orb of electricity with sparks of yellow electricity coming off it. Pikachu spun around and fired the orb of electricity, which then transformed into a circular yellow electrical net that caught a good few of the group of bandits, before proceeding to shock them as they cried out in pain.
Pikachu landed on the ground on all four feet, facing the remaining bandits, before he looked over his left shoulder to look up at his best friend. "Pikachu pi!" The Electric Mouse cried out to his partner, telling him to go on ahead. Ash instantly nodded to his partner, before he ran past Pikachu and past the group of bandits caught in the electrical net, keeping ahold of the sword he picked up with his right hand.
The bandit leader took notice of Ash charging towards him, getting him to grit his teeth in anger; before he twirled his sword's handle around, and then held the blade dangerously close to the girl's neck underneath his right arm. The raven haired boy widened his eyes in concern, before he stopped 10 feet away from the bandit leader. "Let her go!" Ash demanded with an icy cold voice, making the bandit leader grow a rather evil smirk on his face as he pressed his blade up against the woman's neck, but didn't pierce her skin.
"How about this instead, "brat". Give me that rat of yours, and then you can have this bitch for yourself". The bandit leader 'offered' to the raven haired youth, making Ash grit his teeth in deep anger and disgust. He then turned his eyes to the young woman and his gaze softened upon seeing her scared expression on her face. However, he then widened his in surprise as the girl then bit down on the bandit leader's right arm extremely hard.
The man cried out in pain as he was forced to release his grip on the girl and pull his sword away from her neck. She attempted to run away to safety, but the bandit leader kicked her in the back, sending her crashing onto the ground. The bandit leader placed his right foot on her back, preventing her from getting and glared down at the woman. "You dare have the nerve to bit me!? For that, you will die!" The bandit leader exclaimed in outrage as he lifted his sword up over his head, taking ahold of it with both his hands.
Ash widened his eyes in horror as he realized what the bandit leader was intending to do. Acting upon pure instinct, Ash held his blade with both his hands, before he charged forward towards the bandit leader. He gave out a battle cry as he thrust his blade forward and impaled the left side of the bandit leader's chest, right at the heart. The bandit leader widened his eyes in shock and spate out blood, which landed on Ash's hands that were still gripping the handle of the sword.
Masayuki brought his poleaxe down on the last bandit and cut through him. The sword wielder collapsed to his back, while Masayuki lifted his head up and saw Ash standing in between the young woman and the bandit leader with his sword impaled upon the bandits' leader's heart. He narrowed his eyes at the sight as he held his chin with his left hand.
Pikachu, who had chased off the remaining alive bandits turned around, before he gasped in horror upon seeing the sight. He knew what he and Ash were getting into, but had slight hope that he would do all the killing and his best friend wouldn't need to resort to taking a life. Unfortunately, it seemed like his wish was a foolish one.
With Ash, he was taking deep heavy breaths with his head down. He then lifted his head up and looked at the bandit leader's shocked face with blood dripping from his lips. The raven haired boy then widened his eyes in horror upon realizing what he had just done. He had just taken a life.
The bandit leader's eyes grew darker, until there was no light remaining. Then, he slowly began to slide off of Ash's sword, until he fell to the ground on his back, dead, with blood coming out of his body and staining the ground. "…!" Ash stared down at the now dead bandit leader with wide eyes and his mouth wide open in horror, before he looked down at the sword in his hands. Both the blade's handle and his hands were covered in the man's blood that he spat out earlier.
He stared at his hands in horror as his grip on the sword's handle loosened, until the blade fell to the ground, making a small clank sound upon hitting the ground. The sound snapped Pikachu out of his trance, before he hurried towards his partner as Ash collapsed to his knees, staring at his blood covered hands. The young woman, who had backed away a little bit, was staring at Ash's back with wide eyes.
"Pikachu pi!" Pikachu exclaimed in concern for his partner, stopping right next to Ash on his right side and placed his hands on Ash's right thigh, but he didn't turn to look at his best friend and continued to stare at his hands. "…W-What…What have I…done?" The raven haired boy questioned in horror, his brain trying to process what he had just did. "You saved a life". Masayuki answered the young boy, getting Ash and Pikachu's attention as they looked and saw the Sanada warrior walk past the raven haired boy on his left, before he turned around and stood in front of the young man, keeping a hold of his poleaxe with his right hand.
"You may have just ended a man's life, but it was for a good reason. If you didn't kill him, the young woman behind you would have died". The poleaxe wielder told the raven haired youth, gesturing to the woman behind Ash. The two partners looked over to the young woman behind them with Ash placing his hands down on his knees, and saw her bowing her head in gratitude to them. "Thank you young man. You saved my life". The young woman thanked Ash with gratitude in her voice, getting the raven haired youth to blink in surprise at her thanks.
Ash then returned his attention to Masayuki and saw him holding his left hand out towards him, as if he was telling the younger male to take it. "Don't let what just happen consume you in guilt, accept what you just did and move on. Never forget that you just took a life, always remember that in your heart". The Sanada warrior told the young man, keeping his left hand out towards Ash.
Ash widened his eyes even more at Masayuki's words, honestly having never thought of it that way. Ash and Pikachu stared up at Masayuki with wide eyes for a few moments; before Satoshi slowly lifted his right hand up from his right knee. He looked at his blood covered hand for a moment, before he turned it into a fist. He then raised his head to look at Masayuki, before he took his hand with his right hand.
The poleaxe wielder gave a smile, before he pulled Ash up to his feet. Pikachu climbed up to his best friend's right shoulder and rubbed his cheek against Ash's in concern for him, getting the raven haired boy to smile. "Don't worry Pikachu, I'm alright now". Ash told his best friend with an easy smile on his face, getting the Electric Mouse to smile in relief, before he rubbed his cheek against his partner's cheek again. Ash gave a happy chuckle at his best friend's actions, while Masayuki watched the interaction with a fascinated look on his face.
Masayuki then turned his attention to the young woman, who was watching Ash and Pikachu with an adoring expression on her face. "You should head back to your family. They're probably worried about you". The Sanada warrior told the young woman, getting the young girl to widen her eyes in realization, before she nodded.
She then turned her attention to Ash and Pikachu, before she gave another bow to them in gratitude. "I thank you once more for saving my life. Could you please tell me your name?" The young woman asked with a gentle smile on her face, which Ash returned. "My name is Ash. Ash Ketchum". Ash introduced himself, before he gestured to Pikachu with a tilt of his head. "And this is my partner, Pikachu". The raven haired boy continued, getting the young woman, and Masayuki, to look at Pikachu as the Electric Mouse waved his right hand towards the young woman.
"Pikachu pi". Pikachu greeted the young woman with a smile, instantly causing her to grown an adoring expression on her face. "Oh, what an adorable little creature". She said in delight as she slightly leaned down and rubbed Pikachu's left cheek with her right hand, much to the Electric-Type's pleasure. "You have to be the most adorable thing I've ever seen. I hope I get to see you again someday". The young woman told the Electric Mouse as she pulled her hand away from Pikachu, much to his disappointment, before she gave a wave and began walking away in the opposite direction.
Ash, Pikachu and Masayuki watch the woman walk away, until she passed the gate and disappeared from view. Seeing her gone, Masayuki turned to face Ash and Pikachu. "Allow me to introduce myself". The Sanada warrior requested, getting Ash and Pikachu to look at him. "My name is Masayuki Sanada, member of the Sanada Clan and retainer of the Takeda Army". The poleaxe wielder introduced himself to Ash and Pikachu, giving a short bow with his head.
Ash turned around to fully face the adult man, having a bit of a curiosity in his eyes. 'The Takeda Army? Arceus said something about a man called 'Shingn Takeda' of this world. Could this army be related to this guy?' Ash thought to himself, thinking back to a hero that Arceus mention not too long ago. Returning his focus at the matter at hand, Ash gave a small bow towards Masayuki. "I'm Ash Ketchum. It's nice to meet you". Ash greeted the Sanada warrior, before he gestured to Pikachu with his right hand. "And this is my best friend, Pikachu". The raven haired boy added with a smile.
Pikachu looked up at Masayuki with a smile of his own. "Pikachu pi". The Electric Mouse greeted Masayuki, who looked down at him with a fascinated expression on his face. "And what exactly is your friend? This "Pikachu" has powers unlike anything I've ever seen, and that power is not Musou". The poleaxe wielder questioned the young boy, getting him to raise an eyebrow in confusion. 'Musou? Judging from what he just said, it must be some sort of power'. The raven haired boy thought to himself in confusion, before he looked at Pikachu with a slightly worried look.
Pikachu noticed his partner's worried look and knew what he was thinking off. Pikachu gave Ash a smile and rubbed his cheek against his, telling him that it was okay and that there was nothing to be worried about. The raven haired boy smiled at his partner, before he looked up at Masayuki. "Pikachu is a Pokémon, that's how he has his powers". Ash answered Masayuki's question, getting the duo haired man to frown in confusion as he held his chin with his left hand.
"A "Pokémon"? I've never heard of a Pokémon before". The poleaxe wielder said in wonder, having never heard of anything called a "Pokémon" before. "If it isn't too much to ask, can I ask you what Musou is?" Ash questioned the older male, snapping Masayuki from his thoughts as he looked down at the young boy and saw his curios look. "You mention Musou when you asked me what Pikachu was. I honestly have no idea what Musou is and I was hoping you can tell me about it". The raven haired boy explained to the adult man, explaining to him why he asked what Musou was.
The duo haired man softened his gaze on the raven haired boy. "…Musou is a mystical power that few people possess. It is what few people would call the manifestation of a warrior's spirit. It manifests itself differently with each person whether it creates some kind of element or weapon or object. One thing that every wielder of Musou has in common though is that it makes the warrior powerful and formidable". Masayuki explained to the young boy, telling him about Musou and what it was.
Ash and Pikachu listened with great attention and admiration, which was shown in their eyes and the smile that they grew. Masayuki gave an amused chuckle at their childish looks of awe, before he slightly narrowed his eyes at them. "Now, answer me this. What is a "Pokémon"? I've never heard of a creature called a "Pokémon" before, and your little friend possesses great power". The poleaxe wielder questioned the young boy and Electric Mouse, getting them to lose their childish looks of admiration and replace them with casual expressions.
Ash gave a deep sigh with his eyes closed, before he opened them and look up at Masayuki with his arms crossed. "To be honest, it's no surprise that you've never heard of a Pokémon before". The former Pokémon Trainer stated, getting Masayuki to narrow his eyes at him. "…And why is that?" Masayuki questioned, his voice growing colder than it was before. The cold tone didn't affect Ash as he looked up and made contact with the adult man.
"It's because Pokémon aren't of this world". The raven haired youth answered, instantly making Masayuki widen his eyes in shock, but he didn't so much a twitch though. "…What…?" The poleaxe wielder questioned in shock, while Ash broke eye contact and lowered his head with a slightly sad look. Pikachu looked at his partner in concern, knowing the reason behind for that sad look. Ash gave his partner a small reassuring smile to help ease his concerns, before he looked back up at Masayuki.
"You might not believe me, but everything I'm about to say is the truth. Pikachu and I aren't from this world; we come from the world of Pokémon. That's why you've never heard of Pokémon before". The raven haired boy told the adult man, doing his best to explain the truth. Masayuki was silent as he stared down at the young boy man in front of him with wide eyes, his right hand still grappling his poleaxe. After a few moments of silence, he eventually broke it. "…If what you're saying is true, then how did you come to this world?" The poleaxe wielder questioned the young man, his voice not warm nor cold, just natural.
"Our friend, Arceus, the God of Pokémon…" Ash began to explain, already making Masayuki widen his eyes in shock. 'A God!?' The poleaxe wielder thought in shock at both the fact that there was a God of Pokémon, and that this boy met that God. "He told and showed us about this world, and how it was engulfed in chaos. Arceus wanted us to come to this world to help bring an end to this age of chaos and bring peace to the world. He gave us the options of coming to this world, or just return us to our world". The raven haired youth continued, regaining Masayuki's attention as he looked down at him.
"And the very fact that you're here means that you chose to come to this world, yes?" Masayuki questioned the young man, which Ash and Pikachu nodded to him. "Pikachu pika pika". The Electric Mouse answered for his partner, getting Masayuki to turn his attention from Ash to him. The Sanada warrior had no idea what Pikachu had exactly said, but he had a pretty good idea upon seeing the confident look in his eyes.
Masayuki then returned his attention to Ash with a hard gaze. "Do you have any idea what you agreed to become apart of? This land is engulf in chaos, where thousands of warlords desire to have the country for themselves. Samurais fight each other and there's a good chance that they won't survive the battles that they take part in. There's even a chance that the lord that they serve won't fulfill his goal and die. And earlier, when you took that man's life, you froze up. This path you're walking will require you to dirty your own hands with your own hands. Are you really willing to walk down that path?" The bardiche wielder questioned the young boy, his voice cold as ice.
Ash didn't flinch as Masayuki's tone, but he did close his eyes. He let out a deep sigh, before he opened his eyes to reveal a look of pure determination in his eyes, something that surprised Masayuki. "I know full well what I was getting myself into, but that is why I chose to come here". The raven haired boy answered the adult man, increasing the bardiche wielder's surprise as he stared down at the young man in front of him.
"Innocent people were suffering, families were being broken and even samurais were dying when all they did was fight in hopes to bring peace to the land. Seeing all that and learning, I couldn't turn away. I know that this path I'm taking will require me to dirty my hands with blood, and it might even take a long time, but I don't care about that! If it means helping bring this age of suffering to an end, then I'll gladly risk my life and stain my hands with blood". Ash explained to the adult male with a strong voice full of conviction, his resolve to help end the age of chaos strong.
Masayuki stared down at the young boy with wide eyes of disbelief, having never seen such determination in someone else's eyes, or resolve in their voice. He didn't even see a hint of fear in Ash's eyes. Pikachu just smiled at his partner, having seen his determination thousands of times in the past, and this time was no different.
After a few moments of silence and staring, Masayuki replaced his disbelief expression with a smile on his face. "I can truly see that you made your choice without any second thoughts and with your heart. Honestly, you're the bravest child I've ever seen". The bardiche wielder admitted with a smile, making Ash pount in a rather childish way. "Do I really look like a child to you?" The raven haired boy questioned in a childish tone, getting Pikachu and Masayuki to laugh in amusement.
"You appear to be 11-years-old, so yes. You do look like a child to me". Masayuki stated, making Ash groan in a childish manner. "Pikachu pika!" Pikachu laughed out in amusement with his eyes closed, receiving a small glare from Ash, but he kept silent. "You've just arrived in this world, yes? Does that mean you don't have a place to live?" The Sanada Warrior questioned the young boy, instantly regaining his attention, along with Pikachu's.
Ash shook his head in response. "Back in my world, I was away from home for a long time, traveling. I spent a lot of nights outside camping, so there shouldn't be anything to worry about. I'll just live in the wild like I used to". The raven haired youth informed the adult man, holding the back of his head with both his hands. "You are aware that there'll be bandits out here, even at the night, correct?" Masayuki questioned with his eyes slightly narrowed, knocking the grin off Ash's face.
"I know that, but it won't be a new experience. Back home, there were chances of being attacked by wild Pokémon at night as well. Compared to Pokémon, a few bandits shouldn't be that much of a problem. Right buddy?" The raven haired boy said to his partner with a grin, one that Pikachu returned. "Pikachu pi". The Electric Mouse replied with a happy smile. The two partners didn't notice Masayuki's slightly impressed look, before he rested his bardiche on his right shoulder.
"I admit that it's impressive that you've lived out in the wild before, but there are still concerns. How about instead of living in the forest, you come live in my homeland?" Masayuki offered to the young man, getting Ash and Pikachu's attention as they looked up at him. "Would that really be alright? I mean, wouldn't it cause problems for your family?" Ash asked in concern, but Masayuki shook his head with a smile.
"Don't worry. Your presence and your little friend won't cause any problems at all". The Sanada warrior answered with a reassuring tone. Ash and Pikachu still didn't look convinced as they turned to look at each other for a moment, before they shrugged. "Well, guess we got nothing to lose. Sure, we'll check your home out". Ash declared, accepting Masayuki's offer and causing the adult man to smile in slight joy.
"I am glad to hear that. Come, we must be off". Masayuki stated as he turned around and began walking off, heading towards the gate that the woman passed through earlier. Ash instantly began following after the adult man, knowing it was best to follow him as he had no idea where they were going. Pikachu looked back at the field full of corpses for a moment, before he faced back forward.
Both Masayuki and Ash soon walked away from the field with the Sanada warrior leading the young boy and his Pokémon partner back to his home. Unknown to Ash and Pikachu was that Masayuki wasn't just taking them to his home to give them shelter, but to adopt him. And unknown to even Masayuki was that this choice would lead to many changes to Japan's fate.
And done yet again. I know what you're probably gonna say about Yukimura and Chacha, well I kinda shipped them together after Spirit of Sanada. And don't worry about Hideyori, I've got everything sorted for him to still make an appearance, but there will be one difference, but you'll see soon. And yes, I had Mitsunari win the battle of Sekigahara. I'll let you in on something, Mitsunari's victory will be just like Samurai Warriors 4-II Flights of Fancy: Final Showdown at Sekigahara. I always enjoyed that one as it was like a dream come true for me.
Now, as you probably saw at the beginning of the chapter, Ash's weapon is the longsword and Rifle, the weapon that our created characters use. And yes, he is wearing the Holy Knight armor that our created characters use as well. Next chapter, Ash will change his name and gets adopted by Masayuki. Just to let you all know, the year is 1565, a good 2 years before Yukimura is born and the year that Muramatsu is born. Speaking of Muramatsu, I wanted to ask you guys what do you think of shipping her with Sasuke. Answer in a review or a message.
Finally, about Ash and Kunoichi. To be honest, she wasn't my first choice for Ash, but after talking it out with my friend, I decided to ship her with Ash. In the next chapter, she'll officially meet Ash in a way that some of you may see as familiar to something. And if any of you were wondering, the two will have children. Well, got to go now. I hope you all enjoyed the first chapter and look forward to more.
