Lydia Jones walked into suite 904 in the Brent building with a beaming smile, carrying a chocolate cake in a cake carrier. Not only had she just been cleared of all charges for a murder that she didn't commit. She was going to give her lawyer the chocolate cake her Mama always made for birthdays.

"Mr. Mason?"

Lydia asked as Perry looked up,

"Oh, hi Lydia. What brings you back here?"

Della looked to Lydia as she smiled,

"I have to pay you don't I? Well, instead of a monetary payment. I made my Mama's famous chocolate cake for you, Miss Street and your receptionist."

Perry looked down as a blush crept on his cheeks as Lydia giggled,

"I know this might be new to you, but I've only made this cake for special occasions and this is a special occasion. You helped me through one of the roughest patches I've ever been through since high school. I appreciate you and baking this cake is my way of thanking you."

Lydia set the cake down on his desk as Perry took the cover off as Della smiled and hugged Lydia,

"You're so sweet, Lydia. Thank you."

Gertie walked in as she smelled the cake as she smiled seeing Lydia hand her a slice,

"What did I do to deserve this?"

Gertie asked as Lydia smiled,

"You've done your job day in and day out and you deserve it. That's all."

"Wow, Lydia. Can I have that recipe? This is very delicious."

Della asked as Lydia giggled with a nod,

"Sure. I can come back in a few hours and give it to you."

Perry smiled as he took a bite,

"Lydia, thank you. Miss Street is right. This is delicious cake."

Everyone smiled as they enjoyed the cake as things felt a little brighter in suite 904, due to a client's generosity.
