Hi, everyone. I am doing a Cuphead horror AU fanfiction that features Werner Werman (mostly as a ghost) and his Rat Wraiths from Cuphead as the antagonists. It is inspired by all Five Nights at Freddy's games (Five Nights at Freddy's 1-4 (mostly FNAF 1 and 4), Sister Location, Freddy Fazbear Pizzeria Simulator, Help Wanted, Special Delivery and Security Breach), One Night at Flumpty's 1 and 2, Willy's Wonderland, the Paranormal Activity series, Poltergeist, The Walten Files, The Shining, Luigi's Mansion 1 and 3, Are You Afraid of the Dark? (2019 revival), The Haunted Mansion, Dark Deception, 123 Slaughter Me Street 1, 2 and Retro, Bendy and the Ink Machine, Lasagna Boy and Garfield Gameboy'd.

You see, it was supposed to be a FNAF fan game, but unfortunately, I don't know how to make video games, so I decided to make a fanfiction of it, especially considering that I'm not letting this idea go to waste.

Prologue

What if Werner Werman never made a deal with the Devil?

What if Werner Werman is dead during the war?

This house has been abandoned for years, yet there are rumors of the place being haunted by the ghost of the infamous Werner Werman who died in the war years ago and several evil spirits who are presumably his partners in crime, terrorizing and messing with anyone who trespasses here. There are also rumors that the ghosts possess their corpses to hunt down their victims, however Werner only possesses his dead body occasionally to hunt down his victims and when he doesn't possess his corpse, he mostly hunts down his victims as a ghost. Not only that, but most people who entered the house disappeared, never to be seen again and were probably killed by the ghosts while others escaped and lived to tell the tale.

You became curious and decided to become an amateur ghost hunter and spend the night investigating this place, especially considering that you spent half an entire year watching ghost hunting shows. You had packed up a flashlight, extra batteries, a lot of cameras, several candles, a lighter, and a tablet and put it in your (f/c) backpack as you adjusted your glasses and left your apartment, which you have been living alone there with no friends the moment you moved in. You even decided to walk by foot.

Later, you nervously arrived at the abandoned house as your (e/c) eyes stared through your glasses at the gloominess of this house. You took a moment, dreading what's going to happen, but instead of turning back, you calmed down by breathing in and out and slowly approached the front door, hoping you wouldn't suffer the same fate. Then, you gently grabbed the doorknob and opened the door, unable to question how it was even unlocked in the first place. Then, you went inside the house, which is dark, dirty and draft and filled with cobwebs and dust. There were even several blood splatters on the walls and floors, including a message that says "Kein Entkommen" on one of the walls. You became more nervous, but you didn't care and decided to look for one of the ghosts, but instead, it found you. Although it didn't materialize, you heard a creepy high-pitched voice in a German accent echoing throughout the halls.

"Velcome, foolish mortal! I am ze ghost of Verner Verman und I vill be your host... Your ghost host!"

You heard the sinister chuckle of the disembodied voice of the ghost, namely Werner Werman, chilling you to the bone.

"Mein friends und I are very happy you dropped by. Howeffer, I must advise you zat ve schpirits are how you say... restless und zat ve vould like to play ein game vith you. I hope you're ready because you'll never get out!"

You heard the ghost laugh maniacally as you became frightened, fearing that they're coming for you. Just then, you hear the door slam as you turn around to find that the door had closed itself. You tried opening it, only to realize the worst thing that just happened...the door was locked. To your horror, you are trapped inside a real haunted house with the ghost of a dead soldier and his killer phantom minions.

Well, not too shabby for a prologue of a horror story. I hope you like it.
