I don't know what's gonna happen on this assignment, and if something bad goes down, I think I'd be pissed at myself if I didn't say this. I kinda wish something could happen, between us, romantic styles.
Amy had been put in some truly strange situations while at the Nine Nine, but that night took the cake. Dancing with Jake Peralta in her mermaid dress ("you look like a mermaid". Why could Jake render her completely speechless?)- she was such a terrible dancer.
And then there was that moment on the rooftop. Why had he chosen that moment to say that he liked her? Romantic stylez, with a Z.
He was Jake. Her desk partner and the most frustrating person to spend time with. And she had a boyfriend! He knew she had a boyfriend.
And yet, there was a part of her that wanted to say otherwise. Because little boys pulled little girls pigtails in the playground because they liked them, and Jake had spent years pulling her metaphorical pigtails.
But it was too late. She had a boyfriend.
So why was she so upset by his departure?
