Chapter 5

Clocking out

Daisuke picks up the Digi-egg and then moves to the car. Setting down the egg and opening the trunk and then placing the egg in the trunk. Yolie, Ken and Cody look at Daisuke. A bit worried, Ken walks up to Daisuke and asks him if he's fine, Daisuke nods saying he's fine. Ken askes Daisuke what was all that about. Daisuke just said " It feels good to finally not hold back after so long." Ken was a little surprised but got where Daisuke was coming from. Being a DD meant keeping the balance between both worlds, while the DD worked to send the Digimon back to the Digital world but never actually wanted to hurt the Digimon more than necessary, due to the DD but mostly Kari and Sora caring naruter.

Ken had to agree this method was a lot more proof. With the DD when they did do their jobs it usually takes hours to get 1 Digimon through the Digital Gates which usually meant alot more damage then there needed to be. This way it was faster and had a lot less damage, and the Digimon world got to their world with a fresh new start. Yolie and Cody heard Ken and Daisuke talk from a distance and also agreed with Daisuke, even if he was a bit more brutal. It was quick and fast, which meant they saved the city and people from damages. Daisuke closed the trunk of the car.

They all got into the car and drove off back to HQ. When they arrived a group of DATs employees with some doctors were there waiting for them. They got out and each tamer was pulled to the side with a doctor asking them if they were injured and such. While that was happening the other DATs employees opened the trunk and took the Digi-egg to the teleporter that was on the research floor. There they would put the egg on a teleporter and send the digi-egg back to the digital world.

After the tamers were cleared by the DATs doctors, they were then told to be on standby but are free to roam. The tamers nodded and left. Ken and Yolie went to the research floor so they can get a better understanding of the PETs they are using. Cody went to the 8th floor so he could practice in his kendo to take things off his mind. Daisuke then backs down to the 3rd floor to rest up a bit. When Ken and Yolie got to the 6th floor they went to Gennai and started asking him questions about where the eggs would go in the Digital world. Gennai told them that he had talked to elecmon and that they came to an agreement that any and all Digieggs would be teleported to the primary village where they would all get a fresh start.

Cody had changed into his kendo uniform in the gym locker room. He was happy that the DATs building had a few gyms for other sports and activities, Cody lets his partner out of his PET so he can stretch his legs out. Cody goes and grabs one of the kendo stickers that are hanging on the wall. He picks one of them, puts on his head gear and then starts going over his basic stance and movement. It's been an hour since Cody started his small practice and he was working up a sweat.

Armadillomon reminded Cody not to over do it since he was still on standby and on call. Cody nodded and took a deep breath, then went to the side lines and took off his head gear, placing it on the bench, Armadillomon waiting there with a prune juice in his mouth, Cody happily accepted it. A few moments later Cody puts the kendo stick back in its place, then goes back to the locker room and showers. When Cody finishes showering he puts back his uniform.

30 minutes later everyone was on the resting floor except for Daisuke. Ken asked Cody if he knew where Daisuke was. Cody shook his head no. A couple of DATs employees overheard them and told them that they saw Daisuke on the 9th floor. The tamer group then all got up and headed to the 9th floor to see what their leader was doing. They get off the elevator and heard Daisuke giving Veemon orders. They walk into the battle simulator room to see Daisuke and Veemon training.

What they saw amazed them. Daisuke was standing in front of a table where on that table stood a 5inch Veemon with what looks to be an 8inch figure model. Veemon was facing 5 of them. Daisuke was standing behind Veemon with his PET in his left and a few battle chips in his left. Daisuke activates two chips which give Veemon strength and a speed power up. Veemon then suddenly vashisht and Vee heads butt one of the figures into another. The figures then went into action and started to attack Veemon. Veemon ducked and dodged and moved at of the way of the 3 attacking F

Figures. The other two figures joined in and all 5 of the figures started to overwhelm Veemon. Daisuke then activates a battle chip that looks different from the other Battle chips.

" Digg-egg of Courage battle chip download" with that being said Daisuke uses the battle chip. A burst of data red came out of Veemon, the burst of data pushed back the figures and then engulfed Veemon, Then the data expanded and grew, when the data finally settled, in Veemon placed stood Flamedramon. The tamers have seen Veemon armor digivolve before but with the chips and PET it was a lot faster and smoother than what they are used to. Flamedramon then roared and a burst of data came out and surrounded him like an aura.

Ken then remembered the two chips that Daisuke used beforehand the arua must symplize that the chips must still be in effect. Daisuke activated one more chip "Cyber Sword Battle chip download." Flamedramon claws on his left hand retracted leaving only the tips of the claws out and then a bright blue blade of energy came and formed on top of his hand. Daisuke then ordered Flamedramon to take them down. Flamedramon rushed forward moving so fast that the Tamers just saw a red and blue blur. Flamedramon rushed at the figures on by one slicing thru their necks decapitating them all in one go.

The simulation ended and Flamedramon de-digivolve into Veemon, who was breathing a bit heavily. Veemon asked Daisuke how that was that run. Daisuke told him it was the best one yet. Daisuke told Veemon it was time for a break. Veemon nodded and was recalled into his PET. Daisuke then activated the PET healing and recovery program it had, letting Veemon recover. Daisuke was about to head out when he spotted his team. Daisuke called to them and that was when they snapped out of their shockness.

Yolie was the first one to ask what that table was. Daisuke then explained to them that the table was really a battle simulator. That they can create a situation or scenario. To better help them train and to better the reaction and response and quick thinking while they are out on the field. Ken asked Daisuke if he and Veemon have been in there for the last 2 hours training. Daisuke nodded and chuckled a bit.

Cody was actually amazed at Daisuke that he was actually training and bettering himself for this job. The trio then moved up to the battle simulator and Daisuke explained to them about how it works, and which missions on the simulator were helpful the most. Daisuke, having done some of the missions they were doing, stayed and led them. Helping them through them and then having them do the mission all over by themselves since, he told them that he may not always be there. Since DATs may send them each to different locations.

So Veemon was fully healed and rested up. Daisuke went back in but they did things a little different this time. The idea actually shocked the trio. Daisuke's idea was that they should take turns being the leader. They asked Daisuke why. Daisuke told them that they aren't DD anymore, that they are tamers and that they work for DATs now, so some of the missions they go on the commander may want one of them in the leader role because the situation may call for it. Daisuke then starts to admit that there are some things that they are all better at than him. That one day those skills they have may have them in the leader position.

They agreed in Daisuke's reasoning, still a bit shocked tho. So they take turns being leaders in the simulator. From time to time they ask Daisuke for advice. Daisuke happily helps them. The day goes by and it's almost around 2am when the tamers where to clock out, it was now the end of their shifts and where all ready to go home. They swiped their DATs IDs and clocked out.

They were in the elevator all tired and couldn't wait to go home and sleep, they were happy because they didn't have to come back to DATs until tomorrow. Which meant after school they could head home and sleep some more. They said their goodnights and all headed home except for Ken who was sleeping over at Daisuke's place.

Daisuke made sure that Yolie and Cody would text him when they got home safe. They agreed to message Daisuke when they each got him, and Daisuke promised the same. They made it home in 20 to 30 minutes and all texted each other that they where home and safe.

Daisuke pulled out a sleeping bag, a blanket and an extra pillow for Ken and when the makeshift bed was done. By some miracle we see all the tamers crashing and hitting their beds (and ken his makeshift one) and following a sleep on impact. They slept the hours they had before they had to go to school, but they would enjoy those hours of sleep. The tamers' partners were in their PETs. Since the PETs can hack into any wifi the Digimon can move freely in cyberspace. Where they would meet up to talk and have a good time while they're partners sleeps.

I hope y'all enjoy this little chapter. I have gotten a bit of some writers block and I'm struggling for ideas for my fanfiction stories. I hope to get past that really soon.
