Chapter 07
Tamer vs DD?
It's been a week since Sora and Kari joined DATs as part timers. Daisuke was in the middle of a battle with Sora and Kari, but what surprised the girls the most was how Daisuke was handling two champion level digimon with Veemon still in his rookie form. A few minutes later Dasiuke called for a break. Birdramon de-digivolve back to Biyomon panting heavily while Gatomon just went to her knees panting and heavily sweaty. Veemon just stood there not even winded. The girls asked why Veemon wasn't even winded. Daisuke took out his PET and told them.
This version of the digivice made sure that they can back and support their partners this version of the Digivice let them be in the fight with them and not just made them characters that just cheered and gave their digimon "strength". This Digivice gave them options to power up their digimon. Daisuke told them by using the battle chips that they can increase their digimon stats and improve on their weaknesses. The girls, getting a better understanding of the new Digivive, asked Daiuske for one more round. Daisuke agreed.
This next round the girls did a bit better. Veemon was actually breaking a sweat and breathing slightly heavier. Daisuke called the match seeing that the girls and their digimon were now greatly tired. Daisuke told them that they did better but they needed to read their battle chip booklet to better understand what chip does what. The time was now 10am which meant it was lunch time for the team.
Daisuke took the girls to a small little restaurant a block away from their HQ. Nothing fancy, just a place so they can grab a burger or whatever they want. They got to the place and ordered their food and sat down on a booth. They waited for the food and the girls started to talk about how hard the first half of their training was, while they were talking Daisuke took out three different battle chip booklets and started to re-read the whole thing one at a time while waiting for their food.
Sora asked what was with the other booklets. Daisuke told them that as the official leader of the Tamer squad it his reasonable to make sure he knows his team's arsenal. He needs to know which chips they have which he may not that can best help the situation. He then pulled out two more which had a label on them with the girls' names on them. Showing them that the same goes for them. The girls always know that Daisuke hated learning or reading but seeing him now shows that he was willing to go the extra mile for his team.
Made them feel even more horrible that the original DD which included them could ever call themselves a team or friends to the younger DD. Having forgot them and abandoning them, also not noticing them missing. Not just not noticing that they were gone for a few days but not noticing that they were gone for weeks and maybe a few months. Sora made up her mind and then sent a message to Tai and the other DD for an emergency meeting at the park tonight at 8pm. Sora told them that it was a most show or you'll get your ass kicked by a girl with a tennis racket and an endless supply of tennis balls.
What was surprising was that Sora sent the message to Daisuke too. Daisuke was about to ask what the message was about, He looked up from his phone and saw that Sora had a don't you fuck with me right now look. Daisuke smartly put his phone away and slowly got back to his reading. Sora looked at Kari as if their minds were in syc they nodded to each other. Their food arrived shortly after the text Sora sent out. Daisuke put everything away and they started to eat and enjoy their food.
After lunch the new duo and Daisuke walked back to HQ and went back to the simulator. This time Daisuke told them that they were gonna work on search and rescue. Daisuke set it up and they got back to work. This time around the girls used their battle chips much better, but were still a few screw ups due to not knowing their chips fully well. Daisuke continued for another few hours. Helping them better understand the battle chips he did know, as well as learning about the new chips that were for the girls.
It was now 4pm and after 9 (plus 1hour of lunch) of endless simulations. The girls were on the floor sweating and breathing heavily. While their digimon were inside their PETs getting some rest. Daisuke looked a bit winded but having done this for a few months now along with the other tamers. He wasn't as winded as the girls were. Daisuke looked at them and then called their names to get their attention. Sora and Kari looked up and looked at Daisuke.
Daisuke tells the girls to go get changed and clock out but they are on call. Sora asked what that meant, Daisuke told them that their PETs will get a message in case of an emergency, and they are to report to the location sent to them in the message. The girls nodded and they saluted Daisuke and went to the locker rooms. The girls showered, changed and clocked out and headed their way to each of their homes. When they each got to their own home they got to bed and completely crashed into blissful sleep.
It was around 7pm when Kari and Sora's alarm went off and woke them up. They both got ready to leave. Tai and Kari both left for the park around 7:15pm and got to the park around 7:45pm. Izzy and Joe are already there. It was around 7:55pm when Matt, Mimi and T.K arrived. It was now 8pm and Tai was about to start and ask what this meeting was about until Sora stopped him and told him they are still missing one person. Tai asked Sora what she was talking about.
That was when Daisuke in DATs uniform came out from behind a tree. Everyone was shocked that Daisuke was there, except for Sora and Kari. What shocked the DD was that Sora and Kari were now by his side. Sora and Kari both nod to each other and then tell the rest of the DD that they quit the DD. This made Daisuke give them a surprise look. Sora then tells Tai and the others about how Daisuke has been training his team and them as well. The new information shocked the DD.
Sora and Kari show Daisuke official paperwork signed by the Commander of DATs that they like Daisuke and his team are now full time DATs employees. Daisuke goes over the paperwork and then looks at the two girls and congratulates them on becoming full time members. Both girls gave Daisuke the DATs salute and Daisuke in return did the same. Daisuke infront of everyone with a loud and clear voice said " welcome to the tamers".
Tai's world then shattered, he had just lost his best friend and his sister to another team. Daisuke looked at the other DD, Tai, Matt and T.K were glaring at Daisuke. Daisuke just looked at them and shrugged them off, but before anything could happen Izzy spoke up and asked the tamer members what DATs was. Daisuke was the first one to reply and tell Izzy that DATs was a government secret and that he couldn't disclose any type of information to them without approval or clearance from his Commander.
Izzy then looked down in his thinking pose then he noticed that girls and Daisuke digivices were now all a newer and different model then their own including T.K D-3. Izzy was about to question Daisuke about the new Digivices until Tai goes up to Daisuke and grabs him by his shirt and starts yelling for answers. The girls took a step back knowing what was about to happen. All the while Daisuke remind calm
Before Tai could say or do anything to Daisuke, a beam of red light came out of Daisuke PET and hit the ground. When the light faded Veemon outline could be seen. Next thing you know Veemon's head was right in Tai gut. Sending Tai a few feet away from Daisuke, as well as sending him to the floor gasping for air. The shock of Veemon appearing from out of nowhere and the shock from the fact the Veemon actually attacked Tai seem to have made everyone of the DD stand still.
The girls quickly call out their Digimon and tell them to take defensive stands and protect their team leader. The girls had their PETs out and ready with 2 battle chips at the ready. This action shocked the DD but before Matt could do anything, Stingmon appeared behind him with his gauntlet stinger out and pointing at Matt's neck. The other tamers came out of the shadows. Daisuke then screamed at DD to not move. Sora and Kari were a little confused and surprised at the arrival of the other tamers.
Sora asked what was going on, but before Daisuke could answer, The Commander of DATs and Gennai both walked out. This got all the tamers in a straight line and salted their Commander and Gennai. The DD were all confused as to who that tall man was and why Gennai was with them. After the tamers saluted him, The Commander then introduced himself as the Commander and chief of the secret organization that the government is running DATs. Gennai then introduces himself as the head chief of research and science.
The commander then ordered Stingmon to stand down. Stingmon nodded then disappeared back into the shadows. The DD all gathered together and stood in front of the DATs employees. For the first time in months all the DD current and former were standing together and the tension couldnt be higher. The Commander spoke up " DD i'd like to invite you to DATs HQ for an friendly sparring match, I'd like to see how my team matches up against the heroes of the Digital world.". T.k just had a smug look, before Tai could ask or say anything T.k answers for them. That they accept and that they are going to wipe the floor with the traitors.
Yolie, Sora, and Kari couldbt believe what T.k just said. While Cody was just disappointed at his former DNA partner. Ken had a neutral look and his face. Daisuke had a calm look on his face but if any one paid attrition they would have seen his fit balled up. The Commander of DATs just nodded and told Gennai to get the simulator ready. Gennai nodded and then told the DD that he would send Izzy an email. On the HQ location and the time and date of the battle. As well as that both tamers and DD have about 3 to 4 weeks to train and preperp.
With that all announced, The Commander told the DD that he looks forward to seeing them in a few weeks and to train well because if they don't he looks directly at T.k and takes off his glasses with a heavy glare and says " My team will wipe the floor with all of you". Fear hit T.k, his feet glued to the floor and his mouth seemed like it was sealed shut. The DD also felt the glare that this Tall man gave. As if he had seen his fair share of battles but not any normal battles.
No, those eyes look like they've been in war. The older DD could tell because they had seen eyes like his only once, when a retired Japanese soldier came to visit their school, The look on his eyes told stories of hurt, loss, anger, and most of all experience. The look that, that soldier had, DATs Commander has, but unlike that soldier, Sampson looked like he was at peace but still had that experience and that made him a very dangerous man.
The Commander puts his Glasses back on and walks away with Gennai and the Tamers behind him. The DD just had one thought on their mind, and Mimi was the one who said it out loud " we are so fucked aren't we". Izzy just nodded, but Tai told them that it was late and that they will come up with a plan and a way to train tomorrow. Everyone agreed and all went home. The Commander Gennai and the Tamers got to DATs HQ. The commander then told his time to go to the Simulation room because they had training to do. The tamer said their yes sir and sauled their Commander and went straight to work.
Sorry this Chapter took so long. I have been in between jobs. So everything has been chaotic but now that I have a nice stable job, I'll be able to do more chapters and get them out alot more sooner.
