I am straight-up depressed. Amy's been doing her best to cheer me up. She gave me this sticker this morning just for waking up.
Ew, it's like you're dating your teacher.
I know, it's so hot.
"You've never dated anyone like Amy before". Gina's comment comes out of nowhere, and takes Jake by surprise.
"I know".
"And what happened to not dating anyone at work?" she checks. "I thought that was your rule. You don't date cops".
"She's… different".
Gina isn't stupid, and she's known Jake her entire life. He's her oldest friend, and she knows when he isn't saying something.
"You love her, don't you". It was a comment, not a question, and she's sure she knows the answer already.
"Yeah. I think I do". He smiles at her, almost shyly.
