Hey guys sorry for the wait. Over the summer, my dad and my grandma died so I took a break and plus I've been really busy helping with my brothers kids so I rarely have time to write anymore but anyways I hope you enjoy this chapter.
Welcome Home Elliot
Chapter 4: Meeting
The weekend has finally arrived, and Elliot had just picked up Eli from Kathy's. A year about their divorce, Kathy had moved on and was now dating a guy named Mark. After their divorce, she decided to become a nurse, so she went to nursing school and now she was a full-time nurse at Mercy Hospital. Mark was a broker at the Manhattan bank. The kids met him, and they liked him. Even though their mom and dad were not together anyone, they wanted her to be happy.
"I picked up takeout. I'd figured we could go home and watch a movie or something."
Eli was texting his friends saying he would hang out with them next weekend was only half listening, "uh huh."
They walk into the apartment and Elliot carries the takeout to the table and gets it out. Eli goes and puts his bag in his room then he comes back out. They start eating and a moment of silence happens. Then Elliot begins talking.
"Hey, you remember Olivia?"
He takes a bit of his food and Eli looks at him.
"Uh, the women who helped mom in the car crash. Yeah. Why?"
"Well, I told her it was my turn with you this weekend and she wants to see you. So, we made plans with her and her son."
"She has a son now?"
He nods, "His name is Noah. He's almost 11 and he's had a hard life before he met her."
"What's he into?"
"Well, he was into baseball but now he's into dancing."
"Alright. I wonder if he knows how to play soccer."
He finishes eating and put the empty container on the table. Elliot finishes eating as well.
"How hard can it be? You just kick a ball into the goal."
Eli looks at him, "Dad, it's more complicated than that."
"I know that."
After they cleaned up, they finished the night watching a movie and then they called it a night.
DUN DUN
Olivia Benson's apartment
640 West 59th Street
It was around 8:00 when Olivia had gotten up. Noah was still sound asleep and so she got herself a shower. After freshening up, she started on making breakfast knowing Noah would be waking up soon. For years, she barely ever had food in her fridge but now that she has Noah; the fridge and the cabinets were filled with food. The only time she would get takeout is if she got out of work a little late and she did not feel like cooking from working all day.
She had just flipped the chocolate chip pancakes from the pan when Noah walks in.
"Mornin mom."
Olivia looks up as Noah sat on the stool in front of the counter, "Morning my sweet boy."
Noah walks around the island, and he sits on the stool. Olivia sits 2 chocolate chip pancakes on the plate that is in front of him, and he starts to eat them. Olivia drinks her coffee, and she eats some pancakes herself.
"What are we doing today?"
Olivia looks at him as she finishes up and puts both her cup and her plate in the sink. She then turns around.
"Remember my friend, Elliot?"
"The one I caught you talking to last night?"
"What are you talking about?"
Noah bit his lip, "I sunk out of my room to go to the bathroom, and I heard you talking to someone on the phone."
She gasped, "Noah!" flushed but she nods "yeah that one. Well, I made plans with him so you can meet him. How does that sound?"
"Sounds great. Where and when?"
"At the park and around noon. Now he has an older son named Eli, so he'll be tagging along."
Noah nods and he finishes eating, "fine with me." He gets up from the stool and he puts his plate in the sink to be washed later.
DUN DUN
Elliot Stabler's apartment
Elliot was the first one up and so he decided to go for a run for an hour or two. Then after his run, he came back to take a shower. He was wearing nothing, but a towel and he was standing in front of the sink looking at the mirror. He knew Olivia like an open book, and he was the only one who knew things she would rather forget, he knew she took things slow, and she ran when things got too complicated.
After his secret meeting with Fin, he had found out she was a Caption now and so he was proud of her but when Fin had told him she had a son now, he was floored. He knew how much she wanted to be a mother.
He got dressed and he went down to the bakery around the corner and picked up some donuts and coffee. He came back and Eli was just walking out of his room. He handed him a coffee and Eli looked in the bag to get a donut.
Once they had breakfast, Eli returned to his room and Elliot went to review his latest case for a bit and then they got ready to meet Olivia and Noah at the park.
At the park
Olivia was standing by a tree watching Noah play. All those years ago, she watched kids with their parents play and she wondered if she would ever become a mother. That one case about the stolen embryos her and Elliot worked on, she looked into adoption, and they had turned her down because she wasn't prime material, and she didn't have a support system. Looking back, Elliot had said that they were wrong and that was true. Now look at her. She had gotten over something very traumatic and then she had found Noah as a baby, and she's had him ever since.
Noah was playing on the monkey bars as two figures started to walk towards his mom, and he looked to see it was Elliot and he was guessing Eli. He jumped down from the last bar and he joined them by the tree.
She was looking at her phone suddenly she heard it. His voice calling out.
"Liv!"
She looked up and her breath caught in her throat. Even though she was still mad at him for leaving the way he did, he still has that affect on her. She smiled softly and she looked right next to him and saw Eli. It's been ages since she had last saw him. He must be what, 13? 14? By now.
"Hey guys.."
Olivia puts her hand on Noah's shoulder and introduces him to Elliot and Eli. Elliot smiles and so does Eli.
"Nice to meet you."
Noah looks at them and he nods, "you too."
Eli asks him if he wants to learn how to play soccer and he nods his head. They go over where there is a lot of grass, and he teaches him the basics. Olivia and Elliot stood by the tree and watched them.
"I can't believe he's all grown up."
Elliot looks at her, "yeah I know."
Olivia kept watching her son play with Eli. Even through there was an age difference, she could tell they would get along great.
"I'm really glad you're back."
"I've should've come back sooner. I mean, I missed you becoming a mother and you becoming a Captain."
Olivia looks at him, "you're not leaving again, are you?"
"God no, Liv; I've waited 23 years to finally be with you. No way I'm leaving you again."
He moved closer to her and swapped the hair out of her face. Smiling at her, he kissed her softly and he moved back slightly not wanting the kids to see them like that just yet. She smiled back and then Noah comes up to them.
"Can we go get ice cream? It's too hot out here."
"I don't see why not."
Sugar Hill Creamery
184 Malcolm X Blvd
They ordered ice cream and they sat down in the corner by the window. Olivia got vanilla on a cone, Eli got rocky road, Noah got strawberry, and Elliot got a hot fudge sundae. The boys talked while eating their ice cream and Elliot was talking to Olivia when suddenly he stopped in mid-sentence watching Olivia lick her ice cream as it was melting already. He inwardly groans to himself watching her wishing it was him instead of the ice cream. He moved a little and then he coughed a little. She stopped and looked at him.
"What?" She raised a brow acting innocently
"Uh nothing."
"Right.."
They finish their ice cream when she gets a call. It was Fin saying they got a case. She hangs up and she looks at Noah.
"Come on. We got to go."
"Awe do we have to? I was just having fun.."
Even though Elliot just met him, he thought of something.
"Hey, why don't you come with me and Eli? We were planning on going to the movies to see the new Bond one."
Noah looks at Olivia, "Can I please go?"
She bit her lip, "Alright. Just behave yourself."
He nods, "I will. Thanks mom."
He gives her a kiss on the cheek, and they leave. She goes to work. Over the few weeks, they try to do once a week about doing things with Noah. Elliot and Olivia have been careful with PDA in front of them until one day, Noah had walked in on them making out on the couch.
"Ew mom! Gross!"
They both pulled apart. Olivia sat up. Her face was flushed, and she calmed herself down. Elliot laughed to himself.
"Uh, sorry you had to see that. You have fun at your sleepover?"
Noah looks at her, "Nice left turn mom. Come on, out with it.."
They both look at each other.
Elliot, "He is your kid."
Olivia thought to himself. How was she going to tell him if wasn't just going to be her and him anymore? So, she just came out and said
"Me and Elliot are together."
Noah looked at Elliot and then back to his mom, "you mean as boyfriend and girlfriend?"
"Uh something like that."
Elliot goes, "Is that okay with you?"
"I suppose but does this mean, you're going to be my new daddy?"
The look on both of their faces were priceless.
"Noah!"
