Three weeks

Danny POV

It has been a couple of weeks since the whole lunch lady incident at school. I decided to keep quiet about my ghost powers to my family and everyone else except Sam and Tucker's closest friends. Still, it's hard to keep control of my powers and understand them since I might be the only one in the world that can turn into a ghost. Sometimes life isn't fair.

I was in my room reading a science magazine about spaceships and trips to the moon when I heard a knock on my door.

"Come in," I said

The door to my mom with a smile on her face "Hello Danny can you help your sister out with a task,"

"What's that?"

"A new family has moved into the neighborhood I wanted to welcome them with a fresh baked pie,"

"They're definitely going to know us by next week," I thought, then said, "What are you and dad?"

"Oh we're busy with a new invention in the lab,"

"New things to try to catch ghost then probably me," I thought

"The pie on the kitchen counter and it's cool off by now and the neighbor house is four houses down right across the street," mom walks off

I headed downstairs with Jazz holding the pie in her hands, and she greeted me.

"Hello brother ready meet the neighbors," said Jazz

"Ready as I could be," I said

Jazz and I left our house and went across the street to the new neighbor's house, and I rang the doorbell.

"What do you think our neighbor is going to be like?" I ask Jazz

"Who knows but maybe you can make some new friends," said Jazz

"But I like my currents friends Jazz,"

"Doesn't hurt to have more,"

"You sounding like mom right now," this caused Jazz to groan

The door opens to a teenage girl about the same age as Jazz. To be honest, she is totally cute. She had dark violet hair; she wore a New York Yankee hat, blue flannel jacket, red t-shirt, ripped blue jeans, white socks, and black sneakers.

"Can I help you," said the girl

"Yes we would you like to welcome you to the neighborhood," said Jazz showing her the pie

"What type of pie is this?"

"I think cherry,"

"Cool," Jazz hands the pie to the girl

Jazz at the girl's hat, "so you're from New York City?"

"Yep, move here because of my dad's job. Oh, my name is Hope Carter,"

"I'm Jazz Fenton this is my little brother Danny,"

I manage to come up with a word to say "h-hey," feeling a little

"Anyway I still got some stuff to unpack and my brother and dad are out so nice to meet you two,"

"Same, again welcome to neighborhood," said Jazz

Hope closes the door, Jazz and IT walks off back to our house. My sister looks at me and smiles.

"Did you just develop crush now Danny," said Jazz teasingly

"Wait! No I didn't,"

"Sure you did," then Jazz started to hum

I mean, it would be ridiculous to have a crush on someone who just moves on, right? Right?
