Amy waves enthusiastically from the car, and he chuckles.
"She's very good at lip reading", he informs his mother, who laughs.
"I like her for you, Jake". She squeezes his arm gently, before kissing her cheek. "I love you".
He didn't introduce people to his mother unless he was serious. And even though he knew he wasn't going to do anything about it yet, he was serious. He loved Amy Santiago and he didn't care who knew it.
