Ok so we have a new chapter now and its only been since January! Wooo hooo! Alright lets get this show on the road!
Disclaimer: I don't own anything but the idea.
Mercy?
-Bow and Adora's Arrow practice-
"Ok so how about a little less aggression and a little more accuracy." Bow said as he dropped his bow to his side after Adora (not transformed) stabbed the last arrow to the wall again after missing. He could tell something was off with her, more then just her look.
"Ok Maybe." Adora finally admitted. She took a deep breath and let it out slowly. She needed to focus. She needed to help bow get accurate results. But more then anything, she felt like she needed that strange red drink from the princess prom.
"Hey, we don't need everything today. Maybe we can take a break and just talk. I don't know about you but I can tell your acting weird today. Does it have anything to do with the funeral?" Bow asked tentatively. Adora took in a sharp breath. He knew he hit some kind of nerve.
"It's not... its not just that. It's all this pressure. I know no one is going to tell me but I feel like this whole thing is my fault. I needed some air, some time away from all of 'this' so I went to the nearby village and shopped most of the day. I think it did kinda help a little too. I might go again even though I didn't initially plan to go today. I'm sorry I missed today but I needed this." Adora explained. Bow nodded in understanding.
"Ok, I get it. But next time how about letting someone know ok." Bow stated gently. Adora agreed.
Glimmers POV -the next morning at breakfast-
Glimmer was trying to understand what Bow was telling her. He said that Adora was stressed out and decided to randomly go shopping all day...
While she was upset that Adora bailed on helping with the funeral she did find it interesting that her friend would end up shopping all day. Adora never showed interest in changing her look before, heck it was hard enough to get her to try on dresses for princess prom. Glimmer looked at her reflection in her cup of cranberry juice. Maybe Adora did need some change, just like Glimmer did. Maybe its her way of coping too.
"Ok Bow. I'll give her a little space. But she better give me a fashion show of her new outfits." Glimmer said as she smiled at him. He smiled back and they finished eating breakfast and went their separate ways.
Glimmer visited Adora and asked about the new wardrobe, completely avoiding the topic of the funeral, and Adora happily gave her a fashion show. Glimmer had a lot of fun seeing what Adora had gotten and Adora had even apologized about skipping out so suddenly. Glimmer accepted the apology and decided they should do a spa day the day before her coronation in a week (it was scheduled two days after the funeral to give her a little time in between). Adora agreed and everything from then on seemed fine.
-One week later- (still Glimmers POV)
During the coronation she was stressed out and ended up breaking down during the quest.
Adora and Bow said they were there for her. And then the monster/ guardian showed up and Glimmer had to tell them she hadn't been re-charging her powers. Adora transformed into She-ra and everything went like a normal monster fight would until Adora ran her sword through it and it stopped moving. Everything seemed to come to a halt. The room felt still and stiff as the monster stopped breathing and She-ra drew her sword out of it. Ice ran through Glimmer veins... did Adora just kill that thing? She looked to She-ra's face and she didn't recognize the person she saw. She saw someone who was angry and wasn't done taking that anger out yet.
"Adora...you didn't have to..." Bow said shakingly. He couldn't believe it either. He tried to touch her shoulder, but when he did she nearly took his head off with one swing of her sword. He was scared out of his mind and somehow that seemed to snap Adora out of whatever mood she was in. She dropped the sword and changed back into her floor length blue dress. She apologized profusely to Bow to calm him down. Glimmer had never seen Adora kill before but the thing had been trying to kill them. What surprised her more then anything was Adora reacting to Bow so harshly. Something wasn't right.
Bow didn't stay scared for long and brushed it off as the She-ra adrenaline. After Glimmer made sure everyone was ok she accepted her moms message and gain her full true power. She was now Queen Glimmer of Brightmoon.
-Still Glimmers POV-
It's been another week since then and Glimmer wondered how it felt to go all out like that without holding back. Bow and Adora where on a mission to the crimson waste with Huntara and Perfuma and she had been stuck in boring meetings all day. She looked around thinking she was alone and decided to try it out. Blasted rocks left and right and felt like she was practically flying. It was soooooo much fun! This had to be the strongest she's ever been!
Then Shadow Weaver made her pressence known.
Glimmer didn't like Adora's 'mother' very much but she heard her out. The witch proposed her learning magic. Shadow Weaver showed her what Glimmer herself could do with the right training. Glimmer could do so much more with the right training. She accepted the woman as her teacher.
"On another note, how has Adora been as of late?" Shadow Weaver causually asked. Glimmer didn't understand why the woman needed to know that.
"Normal. Happy. Not getting brainwashed or cursed." Glimmer said pointedly. The older sorceres chuckled a little.
"Your show of strenght was impressive even then. I knew you would be a threat eventually. Can you really blame me?"
"Yes I Can. You tried to mess with Adora's memories of us just to get her back to the Hordes side. And that was after you tortured me for half a day. I can blame you because you literatly did horrible things to us!" Glimmer shouted. Shadow Weaver simply nodded.
"Yes, I did. I'll admit i've made mistakes in the past. But if your looking for an apology you wont be getting one anytime soon. Adora is my ward, I have every right to know if she is ok and to bring her back to me. Seeing that there is no need for former I just want to make sure she is healthy." The witch explained in an aggressive yet pained tone. Glimmer didn't buy it for a second.
"Well she's fine. I'm going to be leaving now, I'll see you tommorow ok." Glimmer walked out of the conversation entirly. She thought about Adora. She worried Huntrara might be a bad influence on her, being that they were both horde soilders in the past and now Huntara is more or less a thief among princess. What if Adora started liking Huntara more then the princesses? She shook her head. No, Adora wouldn't do that. She has never shown interest in that kinda life...
Glimmer was upset that she missed everything after she finally made up her mind to help them. But she did notice Huntara wearily eyeing Adora, almost like something bad had gone down.
"So Huntara, how was your first princess mission?" Glimmer asked. Huntra grunted but responded. "'
"I think i'm going to stay here actually. Clean this place up." Glimmer and the others nodded in agreement. But before they all left Huntara grabbed Glimmer's shoulder and took her somewhere private.
"I know I haven't' known you guys for long... but I think Blondie might have really hurt some of those horde soldiers. And I don't mean cuts and bruises, I mean bone cracking and screams of agony. All I'm trying to say is that you should maybe keep an eye on her just in case whatever's wrong gets worse. ok." Huntara said. Glimmer nodded and went back to the others while waving goodbye to Huntara. She really didn't want to think that Adora was angry, especially since she didn't seem to be at home, but she would definitely keep and eye out for that behavior now.
Ok guys so we are back with a new chapter! This one was really glimmer focused because its important. Next Chapter is when we get some more adora!
