Hey guys, glad that you enjoyed chapter 1. It's a slow start, but I think we're getting there. I know it's been far too long since I last wrote anything, but I would really appreciate it if you shared it with your friends. It would really help me in the long run.

With that said, I want to thank my friend Aiden for the title. It was inspired by the song Heaven's Coming Down by The Tea Party, which you might say is a bit of a theme for this story. This story also was inspired by a roleplay that Aiden and I are currently doing as well.

Right now, Hawks, Dazai and my character Kaneko are the main characters of the story. However, you might also say that Kuroo and Kenma are also main characters. Each Haikyu character will have his important role, but stay tuned for other characters to appear. While it's a crossover with My Hero Academia, it's also a crossover with Bungo Stray Dogs too, so it's definitely going to be a 3-way crossover as the story progresses.

I know you are probably wanting to read the story instead of this note, so I will get right to it. I don't own Haikyu, My Hero Academia or Bungo Stray Dogs as they are owned by their rightful owners - Furudate, Horikoshi and Asagiri respectively.

On with the chapter!

Chapter 2: This is How We Roll

~Nekoma High School~

It took Keigo a few moments to catch his breath. If there was one thing he hated, it was people who think it's okay to bring up his personal life when they had no business to do so. He had a feeling that he was not going to get along with Dazai the next time he tries to meddle with his personal life. Yes, it's true that his code name was Hawks, but that was when he worked for the government as a secret agent. So how could a detective know all that? Was he missing something? He had all the time in the world to figure out what to do with this annoying investigator, but right now, there was a student that needed to be attended to.

He picked up his bags and headed inside the school, only to find Kenma walking towards the front door. There was a reason why Kenma never left the school according to the teacher: Keigo wasn't completely certain if he would be safe. The boy had witnessed his best friend being manhandled by armed and dangerous men with uncertain reasons. Sure, they could have been after captains but that was just a hypothesis considering that several of the team captains of other schools had been captured as well. The blonde wasn't 100% certain, and he needed to keep Kenma at the school just to be safe. The boy didn't have to go to class, but he can't go home either. He was sure that the first year had similar thoughts.

"Kenma-kun, wait," Keigo called after him.

Kenma had his hand on the door knob, ready to twist it. "What?" He was too eager to go home and try to put today out of his mind.

"It's not safe for you to go out alone," Keigo said as he approached the boy. "Where do you live? I can drive you."

"I want to be alone," Kenma responded.

"I know you do but it's not safe," Keigo repeated. "Besides if it's easier for you, you can just ride in the backseat. We don't have to talk."

The blonde boy didn't say anything; he just wanted to go right now.

"Or do you want to call your parents?" This was the other option that Keigo gave. "Either way, I can't let you go out when this crisis is happening."

Kenma furrowed his eyebrows in response and tensed. He wanted to go right now, but if his teacher wanted to be this protective, he had no choice but to give in. Sighing in defeat, he grumbled, "Fine. Drive me, I don't care." He pushed out the door and headed to the steps.

A victory is a victory, Keigo thought to himself as he followed the boy. "My car is just out here. Come on, I'll show you." Without saying a thing, Kenma let his teacher walk ahead so that he could follow him.

Maybe it wasn't so bad being driven home for a change. Usually Kenma just took the train with Kuroo, and the two would either talk or play mobile games against each other. Sometimes Kenma would play his games while Kuroo would go over volleyball strategies or listen to music. However with the way things are going right now, it's not likely that will ever happen any time soon. While Kenma didn't mind being alone, he also didn't want to admit that maybe his teacher was right. He just didn't like change, especially for something to come as suddenly as this.

When they arrived at the car, Kenma could only gape at the sleek design the ruby red vehicle had. It was a 2020 Honda Accord, and Kenma thought that going inside such a car wouldn't be so bad at all. Keigo smiled at him as he opened the car doors with the press of a button from his keys. "What are you waiting for? Get in."

Immediately, Kenma slipped into the backseat and did his seat belt. "Thank you...sensei." He firmly shut the door and locked it.

Keigo got into the front seat. "No need to thank me." He closed the door and did his own seat belt. "Might as well text or call your parents that you are on your way, but first, tell me what your address is so I know where I'm headed."

After Kenma gave Keigo his address, they were on their way. But then immediately afterwards, Kenma added, "My parents are probably working again, so I will be home alone once more."

Kenma frowned. "Don't you have a friend you can call?"

With some thought, Kenma looked at his phone. He could call Hinata Shoyo, but he's all the way out in Miyagi so he didn't want to burden his teacher with that distance. So he would just have to settle with the people that Kuroo hung out with whenever possible. "I don't know if they are my friends, but I suppose I can." He intentionally left out who they were just in case if Keigo got protective again.

Keigo furrowed his eyebrows in thought. "Call them."

Kenma raised his eyebrow. He had expected his teacher to talk him out of that, considering what happened before. However he just shrugged it off, thinking that he could have an ulterior motive. With his index finger, the first year clicked Bokuto's name on his contact list and clicked "call". He immediately put his phone beside his ear and listened to it ring.

~Bokuto's Home~

Bokuto sat on the floor and stared at the TV, watching an action movie while eating chips. His black and white hair hung over his yellow eyes. Usually it was spikey, but upon having a shower he just didn't bother to add gel in it. It was just one of those days, and with Kuroo gone… The Fukurodani captain didn't want to finish that thought. He stared up at the ceiling and sighed.

Ever since Kuroo got taken away, he wanted to cry. However, he just couldn't bring himself to do it. Sure, he was taught how to fight, but he didn't want to face those dangerous men that took his friend away. Even though he was trying to keep his mind off of things by watching this movie, he just couldn't find any interest in what was going on. When he heard the news, he just sulked all day. Not wanting to leave his friend alone, Akaashi stayed with him.

Speaking of the reserved raven-hair, he laid on his stomach on Bokuto's bed. He also was eating a handful of chips that Bokuto offered him, but even when the boys tried their best to be normal, something just didn't feel right.

The closing of a car door alerted the boys, and Akaashi stood up. "Akaashi," Bokuto whispered, hoping that nothing was wrong.

Akaashi just hushed his friend as he stared out the window. There seemed to be a white van parked in Bokuto's driveway, and several men in black uniforms walked towards the front door. "Shit," he cursed under his breath. "Bokuto-san, hide under your bed."

"What?!" The spiker protested, his face twisted in terror. "What's going on? What's out there?"

"Don't ask questions. Just do it." Akaashi walked over and grabbed a steel bat. Even through Akaashi's stoic expression, Bokuto could only watch as an intense fury showed in his friend's eyes. Something was wrong and whatever was coming here wasn't good at all.

The sound of the front door burst open and Bokuto dove under his bed. Since he was rather tall, he hugged his legs to his chest slightly to stay completely hidden. Akaashi gripped the bat tightly as he turned off the TV. With bated breath, he waited for the inevitable to come.

The more the sound of footsteps approached, the more adrenaline the setter felt. He was sure this might be a losing battle, but he had to protect his friend at all costs even if the odds were against them. Bokuto was tempted to call the police, but being so terrified, he was frozen where he lay. Even if he tried to move, his body wouldn't cooperate. Please don't hurt Akaashi, he prayed as he shut his eyes tightly.

Then suddenly the door was kicked through and three men in black ran in. Without thinking, Akaashi swung at one, who then ducked while one of the two kicked at the raven's face. The setter then grabbed the man's leg while using him as a shield against the third assailant only to shove the second attacker into him, followed by a strike from the baseball bat. However while Akaashi was distracted, the first attacker pulled the bedroom rug from under his feet. Akaashi wasted no time in leaping onto the bed. The first and third attacker quickly drew boxcutter knives and attacked in tandem. However, Akaashi quickly kicked one of Bokuto's pillows, letting loose a flurry of feathers when they got caught. He kicked the first guy in the face while bashing his baseball bat against the other one. Both stumbled back while yelling in pain. Then, the setter himself would also cry out in pain when the second attacker recovered and fired a shotgun blast into the young man's arm.

Akaashi clutched his bleeding arm as he knelt to the floor. He grit his teeth so hard that any harder the pressure would break them. The other assailants recovered and surrounded the young man. "Take him out," the second assailant ordered, "We are here for Bokuto Kotaro. Anyone else must be eliminated." The other two nodded as they understood their orders. The two took out their guns and aimed to fire at Akaashi, who narrowed his eyes in response. He hoped for some kind of distraction...any kind of distraction. Having taken fighting lessons from Keigo Takami when he visited, he knew that he had some moves left in him despite what just happened. Protecting Bokuto was a priority, and damn it, Akaashi was willing to drag these three to hell with him if the time was right.

Meanwhile, Bokuto covered his mouth while trying not to make a sound. He did whatever he could to block his whimpers as tears streamed down his cheeks. Blood dripped on the hardwood floor, blood belonging to his friend. He wished this was all a nightmare. He wished that he would just wake up in a classroom while classes were in session. He didn't want to end up the same way as Kuroo. His eyes stung while liquid pooled on either side of his face while he silently prayed, Someone help us!

Suddenly Bokuto's cell phone rang. The loud jingle of the ring tone alerted every occupant in the room, even the intruders. Grinning with satisfaction, Akaashi immediately sprung to action. He picked up the bowl of chips and threw them at the assailants. As they tried to get the crumbs away from their faces, he covered one assailant's head with the bowl and kicked him into the second. He spun around and bashed the bat into the third's ribs. However the third assailant saw this coming. He grabbed Akaashi's wrists, pulling the young man towards him, which he finished with a Stone Cold Stunner.

Bokuto grasped his face even tighter as he watched his best friend dazed and confused on the floor. The assailant stepped on the young man's throat, cutting off his breathing and inhibiting any chance to fight back. "I'm not playing any games. If you don't want this to hurt, then give up your friend." Akaashi struggled, trying to pry the man's leg from his throat but to no avail. They were both stuck. He knew that Bokuto was wrestling with all his strength to keep quiet, but any more of this torture then the captain would surely snap. Akaashi knew this; that was why he tried to not give the attacker any kind of satisfaction.

The intruder stepped on Akaashi's neck, applying pressure to stop his breathing and keep him from calling for help. Akaashi could feel the pressure being placed on his throat, so much pressure that it felt like his neck would snap from the force. Anger and fear rose in Bokuto's throat as he watched in horror. He wanted to cry out and help, but that would mean exposing himself.

Akaashi's eyes began to dim; his gasping became slower while everything else started to fade around him. He locked eyes with Bokuto as the other remained underneath the bed. I need to help Bokuto-san...but...how can I when I can't even-

Just when the setter was about to pass out, a gunshot followed by fractured window glass was heard. Akaashi could suddenly breathe again as he began to cough. When he came to, he noticed the man that almost killed him lying on the ground beside him. The other two backed into the corner, shocked as much as he was. The intruder was killed, and he and Bokuto were...saved?

A Few Hours Before - Yokohama Police Station

A woman with black hair, brown eyes and dressed in a police uniform sat peacefully in meditative silence on a cushion on the floor. A mug of hot green tea nestled in her fingertips as she inhaled deeply. She exhaled slowly before inhaling once again. For the first time today she felt calm and serene. This was what she needed for much needed focus.

Suddenly her cell phone rang, interrupting her meditation. She growled under her breath. If there was anything she hated in this world, it was interruptions, especially when she was trying to have a break. However, she couldn't turn her phone off even if she wanted to. After reaching for it, she clicked the green button and held the phone to her ear. "This is Captain Kaneko Aikawa speaking, state your business," She greeted coolly, silently cursing whoever was on the other line.

"Greetings Kaneko-san! So glad that I could hear your angelic voice," Dazai chirped as he drove down the street.

"Out with it, Dazai," Kaneko snarled. "I don't have time for your irrelevant flirting."

"Please, if I were flirting, I'd ask you out to a fancy candle-lit dinner on the ocean," Dazai quipped. "Speaking of which...wanna do that?" Okay maybe it wasn't a quip. Ever since joining the force, Dazai has always had a bit of a crush on the captain and often flirted with her every chance he got. This in turn would annoy the strict young woman, and it would often lead to violent outbursts.

"Get to the point, Dazai! Did you find him or not?!" Kaneko yelled. She was aware that finding Keigo would be the last piece of the puzzle, but only if he was willing. She had her own reasons for recruiting the former marine and not just because she wanted to bring these jerks to justice. Her reasons were far more personal and deeper than that.

"I found him," Dazai answered, rubbing his ear from when she screamed into it, "In fact, I'm tracking him as we speak."

"Where is he going?"

Dazai glanced at the GPS screen. "It appears that he's driving Kenma Kozume somewhere." He narrowed his eyes as he stared at the screen. "Interesting...very convenient."

"Where...is he going?" Kaneko repeated, slowly.

Dazai's eyes shifted to the road ahead, "To Bokuto's house." He hummed in thought. "Kaneko, this might prove to kill two birds with one stone."

"Let me know if you see anything worth reporting," Kaneko instructed. She didn't have time to hear Dazai kissing up to her again, something about her being more attractive than she thinks. Before she could hang up, Dazai had one more question.

"Then permission to set the order to fire when necessary." The police force always had a grey area. Justice was the prime reason why they did what they did, but if they really had to, they could kill under desperate situations. When it came to the criminal organization they were facing, Kaneko had lifted all restrictions to kill when necessary but only if it meant to protect those targeted.

"What's the sitrep?"

"One moment," Dazai immediately switched lines to the one he was in contact with. He had a plan set in motion where a sniper would be camped outside of Bokuto's home just in case the situation was most dire. Depending on how many people would be there, if at least one survives, then he will immediately send word to surround the place and trap the intruders. He was a mastermind who knew exactly what criminals were thinking; this reason alone was why Kaneko hired him. "What's the situation, Eagle Eye?"

"My code name is Snipe," the sniper corrected. He had a western feel, from his brown cowboy hat with the letter S on a steel plate right down to his spurred gray boots. A red cape draped over his shoulders, slightly covering a black shirt and steel armour. Most notable was something reminiscent of a gas mask that covered his entire face. Snipe was a very mysterious man, and he was a very skilled sniper hired by Kaneko.

Dazai waived off the man's correction. "Dude, we've been through this. According to my strategy, it's necessary to use different code names when dealing with the enemy. You know...to stave off the unwanted bugs, etc etc."

Snipe sighed in defeat. While Dazai was an enigma on the force, whenever he had a strong strategy in mind, it would be wise to trust him even to a certain extent. He knew what he was doing after all. "It appears the one called Bokuto Kotaro and his friend are under attack."

While Snipe was answering, Dazai had immediately changed the call to a threeway, so now Kaneko was hearing Snipe's report. "How many are in the room?" The police captain inquired, slightly startling the sniper now involved.

"The enemy has sent 3 men," Snipe answered as he peered through his scope.

"And on the scale of 1-10, how desperate is the situation? With 10 being the most desperate?"

"I'd say about an 8, give or take," Snipe answered, his finger on the trigger. "Shall I-"

"Get on with it!" Kaneko barked with vicious intent, "Shoot whoever is the most threatening. And then Dazai, send in whoever you have stationed nearby to apprehend the enemy. We don't have time to waste!" Her eyes shifted to a photograph on her desk, and her lips curled in a desperate snarl. Her fingers traced the frame as she mustered everything she could to keep her emotions in check. One day, I'll bring you home…

"Yes ma'am!" Dazai chirped, as he immediately sent the message to those who were stationed outside the house to get ready. While Dazai was sending the message, Snipe immediately fired through the window, hitting his target with deadly accuracy.

True to Dazai's strategy, the officers that were lying in wait immediately barged inside. Dazai nodded with slight satisfaction at how well his plan was running smoothly. However, he could not shake this foreboding feeling. Something felt...off, and he couldn't pinpoint exactly what it was. He slowly stepped out of his car and shifted his eyes from the left to the right….watching...waiting… Then he proceeded to enter the house.

Outside, Keigo slowed his car down. He had heard the sniper's bullet go through the glass window shortly before the officers entered the house. Who could have orchestrated such a well-timed, organized police raid? His wandering eyes caught sight of Dazai getting out of his car and walking toward the house. The man narrowed his eyes. So he was behind this...wasn't he?

"What is going on?" Kenma's quiet drawl alerted the teacher, sending him back to reality.

"Nothing to concern yourself with," Keigo assured, not taking his eyes off of Dazai and hoping that the boy wouldn't notice. "Nothing at all." He narrowed his eyes. "Stay in the car." He unlocked the door and opened it to much of the teen's confusion. "I'm going to have a little chat with one of the officers." He closed the door and walked toward the house.

Kenma blinked. They were at Bokuto's place, right? What happened recently? His eyes slowly averted to the familiar white van parked in the driveway, and they widened in shock. Flashbacks of Kuroo being taken returned with a vengeance, drenching the young man in cold sweats due to anxiety. Those men again.. They took Kuroo, and Bokuto is next. He had to do something, but his body was too shaken up to move. Even if he could get out of the car, he would collapse due to his legs feeling like jello. No matter how he commanded it, his body wouldn't move. It was times like these that he wished the police would take care of this matter. Keigo must also have a plan in mind too. The boy grasped his hands together and placed them firmly on his forehead in prayer. "Keep them safe," he begged as he shut his eyes so tightly, tears brimmed the surface. "I don't want to lose anybody else."

The grunts were immediately apprehended while Akaashi slowly crawled his way around the bed. While he was grateful the police were here, they weren't fully out of the woods just yet. If anything, you can't be too cautious. There were two kinds of cops - the ones that fight on the right side of justice, and the ones that keep underground criminal organizations untouched. The setter was right by the window. All he could do was pull Bokuto from under the bed, and they would make their escape by crawling out. Sure, there was a drop, but both were athletic. So in the face of adversity, they would figure out a way to reach the ground. However, the trouble is who could be waiting outside. Akaashi felt cornered. The best the two of them could do is to just wait it out, and if the worst case scenario would be as what they'd expect, then anything in the room could also be used as a weapon, not just the metal bat. The raven-hair held his head low and scowled.

Bokuto looked up at his friend with confusion. He wasn't nearly as smart as his friend was, but he knew from his facial expressions that the coast wasn't completely clear yet. The Fukurodani captain was starting to get anxious. If only there was a miracle…

Dazai entered the room. "Afternoon, gentlemen," there seemed to be a sinister poison within the man's words, a kind of poison that chilled both boys to the bone. "Though should I really say gentlemen…when it's more like some rats caught in a trap?" He flashed a sadistic grin. "Take them away." With a snap of his fingers, the police officers did as they were told.

As they were dragging the men away, Dazai snatched something from one of the officers - a small flip phone that was a little out of the ordinary, especially in this day and age. It was so obvious that it was just sticking out like a sore thumb, especially since it was buzzing. The detective opened the phone and held it to his ear, immediately connecting what seemed to be an incoming phone call. "Nice try," he said. "But did you think an obvious trick could fool me?"

"As expected of Osamu Dazai," A voice answered through the receiver. "So the demon has re-emerged."

"A demon is one thing," Dazai waved off the voice. "But if you think that trying to turn one of my men against me is the best that you can do right now, let me make things clear...the boys that you are after? They are now under police custody, and mark my words, we will find the others before you can even complete the project."

"It might be too late," the voice replied, just as sinister. "Even for you."

"We'll just have to see about that, won't we? Let the game of cat and mouse begin." Dazai then closed the phone, ending the call, and pocketed the device in his jacket. Then he frowned and spoke sincerely, "You can come out now."

Akaashi stood up slowly, but not before reaching under the mattress. As if he realized what he was going to do, Dazai sighed. "If it's a weapon you are reaching for, I don't blame you, but I am one of the good guys. Also, there's no need to grab any kind of weapon. I did have those people arrested, you know."

Akaashi's eyes narrowed. "While it's no denial that you did have those people arrested, any corrupted cop would say the same as you just did now. They always say 'we're one of the good guys.' Guess what, I'm not buying it. Leave now." He immediately reached underneath the mattress and brought out a kitchen knife, its wide blade reflected a bright glare as the sun kissed the metallic surface.

Dazai immediately stood there unphased. The prospect of death never scared him. In fact, he was drawn to it. Hearing Bokuto's silent protests, he stared the younger man in the eye. "That is what I thought you would say," the detective said. "What if I told you that if you come with me, your friend outside will see you. He is worried about you."

Akaashi's fingers tightened on the knife's handle as his face tensed. "What...friend?"

"A young man named Kenma Kozume," Dazai answered. However, the knife was thrown right to his face. With a sigh the tall detective bent to the side, allowing the knife to stab into the opposite wall. A few strands of hair were cut and they scattered in the room. "Might want to work on your aim," Dazai critiqued, and then a small smile appeared on his face, "But otherwise, I'm impressed by your energy." He straightened up.

"Are you holding Kenma hostage?!" Akaashi spat, ignoring the man's comments.

"Oh no, not at all," Dazai replied as the smile remained on his face, "In fact, I'm sure that someone else can vouch for me. Am I right...Hawks?" He grinned deeper at the name.

Keigo stepped out from behind him, entering the broken doorway with a concerned expression. "Akaashi, Bokuto," the blonde greeted them.

"Sen...sei?" The raven slowly let down his guard.

"Kenma's waiting in the car," Keigo said. "He's worried about you both. Go see him. I'll catch up. Take Bokuto with you."

Bokuto immediately crawled out from under the bed. "Thank you!" He exclaimed with relief. Then he ran past the teacher with Akaashi following.

Keigo looked at Dazai. "While I'm impressed by your plan to protect those boys, I have many questions."

"I know," Dazai looked at the blonde, "Chief Kaneko wants to talk to you as well. So with that said, let's go." He walked out of the room and out of the house.

Keigo watched the man leave. Something about him made him want to slap him in the face, but on the other hand, he knew that he would regret it if he didn't go after the man. Running a hand through his hair, the teacher sighed and walked after the man. He will get all the answers he needs, but he had his own reasons for not fighting the company. However, if it had something to do with these kids, he would do anything for them. Perhaps this meeting with Kaneko would confirm that. Either way, Dazai was an enigma that awakened something the blonde had thought he buried a long time ago...and something he would like to avoid.

Dazai peeked around the corner, with a childlike smile that was almost a giggle. "Weell~ Are you coming or are you afraid?" he taunted.

Keigo gritted his teeth as he clenched his fist in front of his face. "Do I have a choice?"

"Nope!" Dazai playfully answered as he strided out of the house. "Can't keep the boss waiting, y'know!"

"The nerve of that guy!" Keigo muttered under his breath with such irritation. Giving in, he followed the detective outside and walked toward his car where Akaashi and Bokuto were.

Still with his childlike smile, Dazai turned to Keigo and yelled, "Bring the boys to the station, okay~~?"

Keigo just ignored the investigator as he climbed into the driver's seat. He may have been slightly impressed by what he did, but in the end he was a pretentious, annoying insect who wasn't worth his time. He got the boys out of the house and will now be taking them to custody. In other words, he was planning on bringing them to the station anyway, with or without Dazai telling him what to do.

Akaashi and Bokuto, who had immediately dove in the back with Kenma, looked at their teacher with questioning eyes. "Who was he, sensei?" Bokuto asked.

"Some annoying detective," Kenma flatly answered as he went through his phone. Akaashi said nothing as he looked out the window.

"Kenma's right," Keigo said as he started up the car. "Because of what happened today, you three will be taken to the station where you will receive police custody. I will have to alert your parents."

"Who were they?" Bokuto kept questioning. "Why were they after me? Why did they take Kuroo?"

"I don't know," Keigo answered as he backed out of the parking spot and drove down the street. "However, I'm sure I will also get the answers I need at the police station. It seems that the police have been hard at work trying to track them down, and Dazai appears to be the brains of the operation...but I want to talk to their leader most of all."

"Oh Kuroo's step sister?" Bokuto asked. "He said that she had been moving up the ranks in the police force, where she had made it to chief."

"Good to know that piece of information," Keigo remarked. He already knew about Kaneko Aikawa and her accomplishments; it's clear that everyone in the region has. However due to circumstances he hadn't met her before. When he saw her make a speech on the news one time, she may have sounded straightforward but if anyone was determined to keep the city safe, it was her. She had a commanding personality that would make anyone stop what they were doing and listen.

He wondered how she truly was in person, and how she had the patience for dealing with an employee like Dazai. So many questions, so little time.. However, even as he thought of it, how she disciplines Dazai must have stirred countless amusing thoughts in his head, thoughts in addition to how Keigo himself wanted to put an end to the annoying detective.

As Keigo drove, Bokuto looked at Kenma in concern. "You must have been worried, Kenma-kun," he whispered.

"I wasn't that worried," Kenma lied, trying to be the normal stoic kid he had meant to be. "But I'm glad that you are out of there in one piece."

"It's thanks to that detective guy," Akaashi explained, "as much as I hate to admit it… Without him, we would surely be goners."

Kenma shrugged. The most that they could do is put some trust in Dazai, but there was something about him that he was hiding. Something that just seemed far too suspicious. It seemed that there was a closet overflowing with not just skeletons, but some unwavering sinister darkness that threatened to shatter its barriers if one wasn't careful. That thought alone scared the boys, and even Akaashi who had overheard Dazai's phone call sensed that underlying darkness. They knew they had to put their guard up and do their best to cooperate.

Keigo looked through the rearview window at Akaashi. "You would need some medical attention when we get to the station. I'm sure that there will be some first aide handy for you. However, I don't think your wounds are that serious."

"Yeah," Akaashi agreed, "Just some scrapes and bruises. Nothing that an ice pack won't cure."

Keigo nodded in agreement, then he slowed the car to a gradual stop. Dazai's car was already in the parking lot, and the blonde guessed that the brunette was probably giving his report. "We're here," he announced.

And I think that will be the end of that chapter before I go on further. I don't want to make these too long.

And that is that for this chapter! I'm certain that some people were expecting things differently but I wanted to put more focus on Dazai to show you all what he will do. Kaneko will get her time in the spotlight eventually, no worries. I can't say for certain what will happen later on, but with certain things, I do tend to forget some plot points. Speaking of Kaneko though, you will surely get to know about her next chapter. That's all I can say for now.

Anyway, with that said, hope this chapter was worth the wait at least. I will be slow in putting out content due to life bringing its stress on me. Until then, take care everyone!
