This might be short but I wanted to update this! Wow I'm on fire lol! I'm also about to post a new story if you guys want to check that out. Hope you enjoy this, song used is Alive by Sia
As the weeks passed, Beca slowly started feeling her body getting back to normal. She stopped feeling that intense and almost unbearable need to do drugs, especially heroin. Late night sweats were almost a thing of the past now, she rarely woke up sweating. The effects of withdrawal were fading away as was her pain due to her infection. She still had one more week of no sex to go and if she was being honest with herself, she didn't miss it. She was so glad to stay away from that for a while, not only for her sexual health but for her mental health as well.
This was something she'd discussed in therapy but never with her Bella sisters; having continuous sex to try and forget her crush on Chloe in order to avoid getting beat up all over again hurt. Hurt, not only her genitals but her mind too. She was exhausted. She was exhausted of having to pretend it felt good, she was actually so glad she had an overdose, it was her own body telling her it was time to cut that shit out and try another way because that was no longer it.
As the last week of her treatment started, Beca became increasingly nervous, especially about spending time with Chloe. The redhead made her feel a lot of different ways, turned on was probably on the top 3, if not 2.
Although the two decided to take things slow, they did spend a lot of time together because of the Bellas, although Beca was focusing on writing her music. She had two days to present it to Residual Heat in order to get a job and she was very nervous. Sure, she always knew she wanted to produce music but she never tried writing. Well, that's not true, she did try it, once. But she gave up, admitting she was terrible at it and her call was not writing songs.
Beca took the opportunity that Amy was off doing God knows what with Bumper and tried working on the song she had already written. She was trying to get the arrangement and music sheet done so she could record it. It wasn't hard at all, now that the lyrics were done, getting the sheet wasn't as hard. That's why Beca wasn't mad when Chloe interrupted her.
"Bec, come on! Amy's gonna try and win Bumper back! You can't miss this!" she said before running back downstairs.
Beca closed her laptop and followed Chloe to the front porch, where she sat next to Emily. The smaller brunette squeezed herself between the two and they gave her space to sit. Chloe shot her a smile and she smiled back, both looking back at Amy while Emily talked to her mother.
Amy was singing but from the distance she was at, no one could understand the lyrics, they only knew she was singing. Because why wouldn't she.
"Why doesn't she just go around the lake?" Chloe asked before taking a sip from her yellow cup.
"Fat Amy doesn't do anything small," Beca said.
When the Aussie was about to cross the street, she was stopped by a car and the three on the porch laughed.
Beca, as the captain, spoke to Mrs. Junk about them going to Copenhagen and about their performance. Now that she had the arrangement done and their plan was complete, they had to put it in motion.
After hanging up, Beca went back to her room and actually finished the song she'd been working on. She smiled widely and grabbed the music sheet, running downstairs to find Chloe, who was sitting on the kitchen island looking on her computer.
"Chlo! Chlo, come with me, I need to show you something!" she said.
"Yeah?" Chloe took the eyes off of her screen to look at Beca.
"Yeah, it's my other song, I finished it," Beca said.
"Oh yay!" Chloe smiled brightly and immediately gathered her things and the two rushed to the auditorium where they rehearsed.
Beca sat at the piano and took a deep breath, doing a small warm up before she started playing.
"I was born in a thunderstorm
I grew up overnight
I played alone
I played on my own
I survived"
Chloe was so excited, she felt like a bottle of coke before being opened, except she felt like someone had shaken her, so all the gas was dying to come out and threatening to explode once the person did open the bottle.
"Hey
I wanted everything I never had
Like the love that comes with light
I wore envy and I hated that
But I survived
I had a one-way ticket to a place where all the demons go
Where the wind don't change
And nothing in the ground can ever grow
No hope, no lies
And you're taught to cry into your pillow
But I survived"
Chloe felt like all the air in the room was still and inside her lungs. Like she couldn't make a move, a sound. This was Beca's moment. The girl had gotten great at pouring her own feelings and experiences onto song and she had absolutely no doubt in her mind, the brunette was getting the job. Heck, she could see a big artists buying her songs and signing a contract.
"I took and I took and I took what you gave
But you never noticed that I was in pain
I knew what I wanted; I went in and got it
Did all the things that you said that I wouldn't
I told you that I would never be forgotten
And all in spite of you
And I'm still breathing, I'm still breathing
I'm still breathing, I'm still breathing
I'm alive (You took it all, but I'm still breathing)
(You took it all, but I'm still breathing)
I'm alive (You took it all, but I'm still breathing)
(You took it all, but I'm still breathing)
I'm alive (You took it all, but I'm still breathing)
(You took it all, but I'm still breathing)
I'm alive
I'm alive
I'm alive
I'm alive
I'm alive"
It was short, but it was beautiful, Chloe knew the brunette was probably just giving her a peak, she could see in the music sheet that there was more, so she guessed the brunette was probably saving the best part for after she'd recorded it.
"Oh my God! Beca that's beautiful!" Chloe said. "I can definitely see some big ass artist buying that song."
"Oh come on," Beca rolled her eyes but she blushed.
"I mean it! Becs, you are so talented," Chloe said. "I'm so proud of you, did you know that?"
"Proud of me? Really?" Beca asked.
"Of course! I mean not a lot of people would successfully stop doing drugs, go through rehab and do all that shit! I mean.. you're a badass!" Chloe said.
Beca smiled, feeling moved by the redhead's words.
"I love you, Chloe," she said quietly, which she could tell took the redhead by surprise. "I don't think you know this but you're one of the most important people in my life. I mean, if it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have done this. Hurting you was.. the single stupidest thing I've ever done and I promise I won't ever do this again."
Chloe smiled widely, tears filling her eyes. Instead of an answer, Chloe connected their lips, which was welcomed by Beca. The kiss was passionate, even with both of the girls' tears, both tried and successfully packed as much love and lust as they could. But when Beca could feel the kiss start to heat up her insides and bring her a not unwelcome feeling between her legs, she remembered she had something to talk to Chloe about, and pulled apart, taking a breath.
"Chloe, there's something I need to tell you," Beca said, eyes still closed, savoring the kiss.
"Wait, you know that kiss was my way of telling you I love you too, right?" Chloe asked.
Beca chuckled before opening her eyes and looking back at the redhead.
"I knew but I'll never get tired of hearing you say those words," Beca said, which made Chloe smile.
"What were you going to tell me?" Chloe asked.
"Well," Beca looked down in embarrassment, fidgeting with her fingers. "You see, Dylyn was the very first and only girl I dated, after that I didn't date anyone."
"Yeah, I know," Chloe said.
"Okay, but you see, Dylyn and I only dated for about a month, so we never actually got to.. sleep together," Beca said cautiously. "So what I mean is.. I've never had sex with a woman,"
Chloe nodded in understanding before grabbing Beca's hand.
"It's okay, Beca," she said. "You don't have to be embarrassed about this."
"I just.. I mean you obviously turn me on and I can't wait to be able to have sex again but.. I'm nervous because I've never done this before, I'm afraid I might not make you feel good," Beca confessed.
Chloe chuckled.
"It's okay, even if you don't make me feel as good as you wish, it'll be our first time, not our only time. We'll have plenty of times to practice," Chloe said. "And believe me, it gets better every time."
Beca smiled and relaxed at the redhead's words. She was not used to people being so understanding. She should've gotten used to it by now, Chloe is, well, Chloe! Probably the most understanding person Beca's ever met. How is she still getting surprised by it?
"By the way, how are you feeling?" Chloe asked and she knew Beca knew what she meant.
"I'm feeling a lot better. To be honest, I'm so thankful for this break from sex and so is my lady friend," Beca said and Chloe chuckled. "I can't wait to be able to have sex but I just wanna give my body all the time it needs to heal."
Chloe nodded.
"I'm glad you're doing that," Chloe said. "I'm glad you know the importance of it."
"And thank you for being so supportive," Beca said. "Literally, I couldn't have done this without you."
"Of course," Chloe smiled again and kissed her cheek.
Beca still had a few days to go but she wasn't rushing it, she knew she wanted to be able to have sex with Chloe but that time she still had, gave her the opportunity to really mentally prepare, if she could say that, for it. She had a lot going on in her mind, she was so happy with Chloe and she knew Chloe would never do what Dylyn did but knowing it and feeling it was two different things. She knew her subconscious might trick her so she was going to use her time in therapy in her advantage.
