Ninjago Highschool: Chapter Twelve: The Gamer Meet Up

Author's note: Real sorry for the wait. Recently graduated, and turned 18. Also haven't felt like writing. Thanks for your patience.

Lloyd laid in bed. He couldn't stop thinking about the park incident yesterday. He got a call, and checked. It was Harumi. "Lloyd, guess what? The gamer club is open for your test!" Lloyd sat up. "Really? Where are we meeting?" "My house, parents are gone, so we can get to it." Lloyd got up and went to get some jeans and a sweater on. "What game is it going to be?" He asked while getting dressed. "We'll see. Killow, E, UV, and Cole are going to be there." "Cole? Why him?" "I'm sure he'd want to support his friend." Lloyd doubted that, Cole would probably make fun of his skills...skills being a loose term. "Hey mom, can I go to Harumi's for a bit?" "Well that depends, is it just you two, or?" "Mommmm! Ugh, Cole and some of Harumi's friends are gonna be there too." "Well, have fun Lloyd." Lloyd went out and went to the city bus stop, since Harumi lived farther away. While on the bus, a familiar, annoying voice hit his ears. "Heyyy little dude." Dareth said, from the other seat. "Dareth...I'm the same height as you." Lloyd sighed in disappointment. Dareth was given a massive fortune by his grandmother, which let him do basically whatever he wanted. Luckily he was stupid enough that he didn't use the money for evil. Instead, he used it for terrible business adventures. "So Dareth...how's the hotdog stand going?" "Oh, I ditched that hunk of junk, turns out cooking hotdogs is more trouble than it's worth." Lloyd frowned at the very concept of a middle aged man not being able to cook a god damn hotdog. "Dareth...seriously?" Dareth ignored Lloyd's comment and kept it up. "I'm thinking of making a daycare. Dareth's Mojo Daycare!" Lloyd shook his head. "That is a terrible idea Dareth. Do you know how to take care of children?" "No man, but I think there's potential. Especially if I open the market to serpentine children!" Lloyd was glad Dareth was a little progressive at least. "Well that's nice...if the kids survive..." Lloyd whispered to himself. The bus stopped, and Lloyd got up. "Well Dareth, I'll see another time I guess." Dareth crossed his arms. "Yeup, you'll see me on Ninjago News, for owning the best daycare!" Lloyd certainly thought he'd be on the news, just not for that. He got off and checked his phone. There was still a bit of a walk to Harumi's, so he got to it. He never went this far into Ninjago city, so it was a new experience for him. Fancy restaurants, stores with expensive clothes, this was definitely the richer part of the city. Lloyd got to somewhere different...a...gate? Did Harumi live in a gated community?

Lloyd looked at the entrance. It was fancy for sure, gold and silver, with some green on it. When he got near it a speaker went off. "STAY AWAY FROM THE GATE." Lloyd backed up, and looked for where the voice came from. "UP HERE, MORON." Lloyd looked up at a camera. "You're very rude." He said, annoyed at the voice. "AND YOU LOOK TO POOR TO BE NEAR HERE. GET OUT." It said with no hesitation. Lloyd couldn't be more offended by a disembodied voice. "Do you have to be a prick? I have someone to meet here." "I THINK YOU SHOULD MEET WITH A STYLIST FIRST AND GET THOSE RAGS OFF." "Hey fuck you, my mom got me this sweater!" "THEN YOU SHOULD DISOWN HER." "I'm gonna kick your ass!" Lloyd said, angered. "OHO I BET YOU WILL. I'M GONNA CALL SECURITY ON YOUR ASS IF YOU DON'T GET OUT." Lloyd got his phone out and quickly texted Harumi the situation. She answered. "Gimme a sec." So Lloyd stood there, uncomfortable about this whole thing. "I SEE YOU'RE STILL HERE INSTEAD OF A GOODWILL." The voice ringed out from the speaker. Lloyd ignored it and stood there still. Finally Harumi arrived, after a minute of verbal harassment by this speaker. She looked at Lloyd through the other side of the gate, opened it, and looked at the camera. "Dude! I thought I told you I was having a guest over!" The speaker stammered a bit. "I-I THOUGHT YOU MEANT SOMEONE AROUND YOUR...STANDARDS." Harumi huffed. "Well, if you don't want to be fired, you should let LLOYD in without a problem." The voice grumbled "WHATEVER...", and the speaker cut out. "I'm so sorry about that Lloyd, the security guard is...ambitious." "He's a prick, that's what he is..." Lloyd said with some annoyance. "You sure I should stay here?" Harumi ushered Lloyd in. "Of course, don't let one security gaurd ruin your day, come in." Lloyd relented and walked in. "Fancy place you live in..." He looked around at the houses, some of which could hold four of his own house. "So...I was wondering, how are you in my school when you aren't a elemental user?" "Well Lloyd, since I'm basically the best teen gamer in Ninjago city, Wu and Garmadon agreed I could be an exception, and had me set up for normal classes there, and to set up a gamer club there. Killow, U.V, and Mr E are also allowed in, but the others are only allowed in the gamer club." Lloyd was glad for this exposition dump, so he could understand why she was able to stay at such a special school. "Well that's interesting to know Harumi..." They arrived at her house, the biggest of them all. The Ninjago Royal Family house. A VERY big house, almost impractical, unless Harumi's family was that big. "Do you have any siblings?" Lloyd asked. "Nope, only child."

The first step into Harumi's house was a massive shock to Lloyd. It was huge, like, unnaturally huge, and this was just the entrance. Massive stairs that led to the second floor were in front of them. Lloyd would of wandered the first floor if Harumi didn't drag him up the stairs. "My room's up here." "Which door?" Lloyd looked down the huge hallway, with several doors on both sides. It took a bit, but Harumi pointed at the door with her name on it, colored green, with several game controller stickers. "Ah." Lloyd said plainly. They walked in, and it must of been sound proofed too, because it was loud as hell once they opened the door. Quickly they went in and closed the door. Harumi's main gang, and Cole, were taking turns playing some shooter game. "Guess who I got over here!" Harumi yelled over the tv. Lloyd didn't want attention brought to himself, but whatever. "Eyy, Lloyd!" Cole said, standing up and walking over to the two. "This place is great dude! Her gaming set up is better than mine ever could be!" Harumi smiled at the complement. "Yeup, probably costs a few hundred, maybe thousand dollars." She said this pretty casually, as if people just have that sort of money. Lloyd didn't feel like being in awe of Harumi's wealth again, and just walked up to the group. E looked up at Lloyd, the visor of his helmet showing Lloyd his own reflection...he should of brushed his hair better. "So...how are you E?" He said nothing, and kept staring. "E doesn't talk to people Lloydster." UV said in a condescending tone. "Whatever." Lloyd said. "Okay guys, let's wrap this up, so we can test Lloyd!" Harumi told everyone else. They all agreed, and finished the game up. "Lloyd, you are going to go against..." Harumi looked through the small crowd. Llloyd was praying she wouldn't pick UV, since she and him had beef. Honestly it didn't matter who she picked, he was doomed. "E. You will go against E." Great. Lloyd was going to go against E. Cole got up and talked to Harumi. "Hey, can I talk to Lloyd? You know, about a game plan?" Cole helping Lloyd? That's certainly new. "Hmm...sure. I'll talk to E in the hallway. You two, come with me." Harumi's crew went into the hallway, leaving Cole and Lloyd alone in the room. "Okay Lloyd, I'm gonna be honest with you. This is gonna be tough. E is a good gamer." "Oh really now?" Cole nodded. "Yeah, his reaction time is ungodly, and he's very good at sniping. It's scary how good he is" "Cole is this supposed to make me feel more confident? Cause it isn't working." Cole rolled his eyes. "Look, you just need to pick a good stealth class, so he can't find you." Lloyd cut him off. "Dude I have no idea what you're talking about." "OKAY look I'll help you make a class before the match, just, chill out!" Before they could continue, Harumi and the others walked back in. "Okay, let's start some CoD." Harumi said. Everyone gathered around the TV. "You're gonna get your ass kicked." UV snickered. "Don't listen to her Lloyd." Said Cole. "You got this!" Cole could have the most charisma in the world, and it wouldn't of convinced Lloyd he had a chance. They got to the loadout customizer, which E let Lloyd use first. While Lloyd navigated the screens, Cole kept talking over his shoulder. "Yeah, take the silencer. Use that assault rifle. No no, don't use the grenade, use a claymore. Go ahead and use a smoke, trust me." It was a bit much for Lloyd, but he finally got his loadout. He exited the screen and waited for E to check his. In a instant E went through his loadout, checking everything in seconds. Lloyd barely processed what he did, when E put the remote down. "Uhhh, nice job?" He said to E. Once again, no answer. Harumi got in front of the tv. "Alright guys, we will be doing a team deathmatch, first to 25 kills win! No screen peaking please, and remember, make sure to do the best you can." She got out of the way, and E, pressed on the start game button. 5...4...3...2...1. It began.
