Ninjago Highschool: Chapter Thirteen: The Game Begins
Lloyd spawned into the match, on the other side of the map from E. He understood how to move, since all games tend to have the same movement style as Minecraft. He was a bit distracted looking through the map because Cole shook his shoulder. "Pay attention man!" Lloyd snapped out of his sight seeing, and turned around just in time to see E's character, who promptly shot him dead. "One point for E!" UV screamed, like the maniac she was. "That's what the numbers in the corner are for." Lloyd grumbled. If he was going to hear UV scream for every point, he was about to jump out of a window and crawl home. He spawned in again, this time with words from Cole, quiet enough so the opposing team couldn't hear him. "Okay, crouch, and walk into that building there." Lloyd fumbled with the controller to figure out how to crouch, knifing the air on accident, to Cole's embarrassment. Lloyd got into the building, hiding. Luckily both sides were honorable enough not to look at each other's screens. Lloyd sat there for a little and whispered to Cole. "I can't just lay here the whole match!..." Just as he said that E's character passed by. "SHOOT!" Cole ordered. Lloyd help the firing button, but didn't know he could aim, so all his shots whizzed right by E. E responded with a swift turn, and a spray of lead into Lloyd, giving him a second point. Cole groaned in frustration. "Lloyd! Why couldn't you of done BASIC training before all of this?" Truth be told, Lloyd really should of practiced other games with Zane, but he raged and left before he could do anything else. "Maybe YOU could of taught me the controls before all this." Lloyd snapped back. "Looks like the Lloydster is already losing!" UV screamed into an imaginary mic. Killow did a loud belly laugh. "You stand no chance Lloyd!" He said. "Shut up lard-ass" Cole said passively. Killow glared at him, but went back to talking to E and UV. Harumi watched on, not sharing a reaction to what was going on. Just watching and smiling. Lloyd managed to throw a smoke grenade on accident, blinding him, and revealing his position to E, who came over and threw a grenade into the smoky abyss. Lloyd couldn't find his way out and was blown up. Cole, a natural gamer, was dying of embarrassment. "LLOYD! I can't believe you managed to do that!" Lloyd tried to shush him while he got himself back up. During the time, E got 3 more kills, and UV and Killow just kept roasting Lloyd while Cole tried to give him pointers. None of which helped. Lloyd did get one kill though, in a surprising moment of genius. He went prone into a corpse of his, and waited for E to pass by. Now that he knew how to aim, he managed to just barely get E. Finally, a point for Lloyd. "Way to go." Cole said with a little bit of joy in his voice. "Lucky shot." UV grumbled. "Don't get cocky Lloyd, you got a long way to go." That he was, that he was.
Time passed, Lloyd had 5 points, and E had 10. 20 for him, 15 for E. These were all the kills they needed to determine Lloyd's fate in the gaming club. It was impressive he got 5 kills at all, but most of them were cheap kills from hiding. "BOOO Lloyd, you're only getting kills from hiding, pussy!" Killow bellowed. UV's shriek of a laugh followed along. Once again Harumi didn't do anything, just watching. "Okay Lloyd, you're doing good...I think. 5 kills 10 deaths is pretty good for you." Cole patted Lloyd's shoulder. "Just gotta get better, real quick." Lloyd was getting better at least. He learned to aim and throw grenades at least. E's game sort of dropped too, Lloyd noticed his reaction time was getting a little slower, giving Lloyd some time to shoot once in a while. soon Lloyd was at 10 to 14. "Great job Lloyd!" Cole said a little excitedly. He was actually making progress, but only because E seemed to dip in skill. "E! What is wrong with you?" UV said with some annoyance in her voice. "Yeah dude you're sucking right now!" grunted Killow. "Ha, that's what your mother does all the time." Cole said. Mom jokes, a real classic. Some time passed, Lloyd was getting confident, now that he was getting closer to E's kill count. It was confusing everyone in the room how he was getting close to E, but no one said anything. "Okay, it's the final stretch, 23 to 24." "Harumi announced. "That's bullshit! Lloyd's hacking or some shit!" UV shrieked. "Ha, you're just triggered cause E is losing" said Cole. "Shut the fuck up Cole!" UV yelled. This was probably the loudest Lloyd heard UV yell, she must of been pissed beyond believe. Lloyd got another kill, keeping them even. E showed no signs of distress at possibly losing to Lloyd, he was neutral as ever, unlike his friends, who were seething and confused. "E are you even trying?" Killow asked, shaking E's shoulders. No answer of course. The final encounter in the game would finalize what would happen. E played it safe hiding behind cover. Lloyd was on the other side, hiding behind his own thing of cover. Neither were prepared to look over and risk being shot. Lloyd heard the sound of E pulling a grenade out, which sure enough, landed right near him. Cole thought this was the end, and so did UV and Killow. Everyone was just waiting...but Lloyd saw a word. "RB to throw back..." Lloyd held onto the right bumper button, and picked it up. He didn't have long, so he stood up, and threw it towards E. Just as it went behind his cover, it blew up! E was killed before he could throw it back. ending the match, with Lloyd as the victor!
Cole stood up and shouted in amazement. "LLOYD, YES! GOD DAMN!" He Picked Lloyd up and hugged him in a non-gay way. "That was the smoothest play I've seen you do!" Lloyd didn't try to fight the hug, he was just as excited as Cole. UV and Killow groaned, and face palmed in dismay. "E are you fucking kidding me!?" UV yelled in frustration. "You totally threw that game!" Killow accused. "Stop being salty lmao." Cole said with a huge smirk. "Yeah, can't handle me winning?" asked Lloyd. Killow walked out of the room and slammed the door shut. Harumi could of got mad at Killow for that, but probably understood gamer rage. "Well Lloyd congratulations! You beat E, and can officially join the gamer club!" She hugged Lloyd in a small celebration. Lloyd didn't hug her back, but was happy either way. "I'm gonna get some food, I'll be right back." Harumi walked out of her room, leaving E, UV, Cole, and Lloyd with each other. "I don't know what you did Lloydster, but I'm going to figure out how you did that! Got it?" "Yeah yeah, stop whining bitch." Cole said with some amusement in his voice. UV huffed and walked out of the room. Lloyd looked at E, who was still sitting there with the controller in his hands. Lloyd kneeled down to eye level. "Hey, you did pretty good man, had me on my toes. I didn't even think I'd make it!" Lloyd said, trying to keep it humble. E didn't say anything while staring at Lloyd, the visor once again showing Lloyd only himself. "Uh...I take it you're not mad?" E did something he's never done before...he nodded his head in agreement. "Well that's a relief." "Lloyd stop talking to him, you kicked his ass." "Dude I was losing for the start. Honestly I don't know how I got better..." As Lloyd thought about it, he realized that the whole time E was really just getting worse. Come to think of it, why didn't he just cook the grenade at the end so Lloyd couldn't throw it? He was a pro gamer right? He should of done that...Before Lloyd could ask E about that, Harumi came in with some sweet tea, and chips. UV and Killow were with her, still having angry expressions on them. "So, welcome to the gamer club Lloyd!" Harumi said excitedly. Lloyd took the cup and a small bag of chips and sat down on the floor. "Alright, what's next?" he asked. Lloyd was now an official gamer apprentice.
