Ninjago Highschool: Chapter Fourteen: Regret
Lloyd just got his lunch, something decent for once, and was walking to his friend's table. It was more barren then usual, having only Kai and Zane at it. Cole was at the gamer club, and Jay was with Nya. However, just before he could really get close, Harumi stopped him. "Oh, hey Harumi, what're you doing?" "Well Lloyd, I was going to bring my food to the gamer club. Why don't you join me?" "Oh uh, I was going to eat with my friends over there." Harumi looked at Kai and Zane, then back to Lloyd. "Oh come on, eat at the gamer club. You can get some practice in! "But...I want to hang out with my friends." Harumi sighed. "Lloyd, you just joined the club, don't you wanna participate in it?" Kai saw the conversation going on and walked up to the two. "Hey, what's going on over here?" "Oh nothing, don't worry about it." Harumi said. Lloyd disagreed with that. "Harumi wants me to eat at the gamer club." Kai put a hand on his chin. "Okay...but DO you?" Lloyd shook his head no. Kai turned to Harumi. "Well, he doesn't want to, so don't bother him about it." "Well I didn't ask YOU. Lloyd." Harumi said with a little more attitude. "JOIN me in the gamer club, so my friends don't think you're a LOSER." Kai didn't appreciate the way she talked, and was going to speak up, but Lloyd stopped him. "Kai, I'll just join her today, and eat with you tomorrow, okay?" Kai wasn't in the mood to argue, so he agreed. "Uh...fine, have fun." He walked back to his seat, a little downtroddened." Before Lloyd could say anything, Harumi roughly pulled him towards the exit. "Come on, we gotta hurry!" Kai shook his head at Zane. "You think there's something up about her?" "I cannot say for sure Kai, she really wants Lloyd to join her though." "No shit Zane, but did you see how she acted?" "Let us not go to brash conclusions just yet. We have to wait and see what she will do next." Kai prodded his spaghetti with his fork. "Yeah...you're right." "I know, I am a robot after all." "I hope Lloyd has a decent lunch at least..."
Lloyd was brought to the gamer club room, that he hasn't been in for a while. The door opened, and the loud noises came back to him right away, which was not fun for him. And he was gonna have to stay there, for a while. He found a seat but there was too much gaming stuff on the table for him to put his food down. The noise was unbearable, screaming, TVs with the volume too high, UV herself, just terrible. Lloyd could barely eat his food in peace because someone would always show up and ask if he wanted to game, or if he brought any snacks. Within 10 minutes Lloyd's head hurt, and he got up to look for Cole. Eventually he found him playing Overwatch, playing Roadhog. "Cole, how the hell do you stand all this noise?" Lloyd yelled over all the other noise. "I'm used to this noise! I'm a gamer dude!" Lloyd just walked off back to his chair, where his food was gone. Confused, he turned around just in time to see UV dumping it in the trash. "UV what the hell?" Lloyd said angered. "Sorry, can't leave this lying around, it might dirty up the equiptment." Lloyd could tell UV was just doing this to piss him off, because he could see people eating doritos and turning their controllers orange with dust. He wasn't angry enough to curse UV out, so he just walked to Harumi, who was playing CoD, and absoluetly stomping in it. Lloyd was scared to even disturb her, but she talked to him while playing. "What's wrong Lloyd?" "Uh...it's very loud here...it's making it hard for me to concentrate. Also UV threw my food away." "Ugh, I'll talk to UV about that. Lloyd, gamers are loud, we can't just be quiet. Get over it, or leave after all the trouble you went through to get here." Lloyd didn't like how Harumi was acting since lunch. It's like she got ruder. "Damn okay..." Lloyd tried to withstand the noise for the next 20 minutes, but he couldn't stand it and went to the door, to take a break. He could hear UV mock him, and Killow laughing at him while opening the door. Finally, some peace and quiet.
It was a good minute, until Lloyd was interupted by someone. "Lloyd." It was Karlof. Lloyd was surprised to see him, and tensed up. Was this going to be a rematch fight? Karlof could see the tenseness and back uped. "I am not here to hurt you. I am here to apoligze." Lloyd was confused. "Apoligize?.." "I talked to Morro. He admited some things he said about you were misremembered..." Lloyd crossed his arms. "Misremembered? My ass..." Karlof didn't push it. "That is not important. I treated you like real bully. No real bully would fight like you. I want to say sorry for what I did." Lloyd didn't want to cause more drama, so he decided to suck it up and accept it. "Alright...I accept your apology." Karlof smiled, relieved. "Thank goodness, I do not need a second rival. I will make up what I did to you, I promise." "No no, you don't have to worry about that." Lloyd assured. "Well, if you need anything, tell me, and I will do my best to help...as long as it is not illegal." "Uh, I'll keep that in mind, Karlof." "Then we are done here for now. Enjoy your club." As Karlof walked off, Lloyd couldn't help but mutter to himself. "I won't..." He came back into the club, regretting it instantly, and just sat with Cole, watching him play Overwatch. By the end of lunch he had a massive headache, that wasn't gone till he got to the bus. Kai questioned him about how the club was on the bus. "So, was it as good as you'd hope." Lloyd groaned. "Nope. Not at all. It's very loud..." "Well Lloyd, you should leave and just forget about it." "Kai, I can't leave after all that trouble I went through to get in." Kai shrugged. "You're taking some kind of honor system for something you can't stand." "I'm...gonna see what happens, maybe I'll end up liking it?" Kai shook his head. "I doubt that buddy, but you do you I guess. Anything else happened?" Lloyd remembered the Karlof moment and talked about it. "Well, that's good news." Kai said, satisfied Lloyd's brief rivalry with Karlof was over. "Yeah, maybe I can use that favor of his for something too, ya know?" They continued the talk until they got off, and Lloyd head off to home. He collapsed on his bed and sighed. More of that is to come if the club keeps sucking...Lloyd got up from a notification, from Brad. It asked if he wanted to hang out at his place. That was new, so Lloyd just said "Maybe." Would it go as bad as Harumi's home, or like their last meet up at the park...only one way to find out.
