Ninjago Highschool: Chapter Seventeen: Gamer Drama

Author's note: I suck, sorry for long wait.

As interesting as Lloyd's life is, he is not the only person with tales to tell. Cole got ready for the school day, tired, but only because he was still thinking about the incident last night. Thank The first spinjitzu master he didn't walk by himself...but maybe it was his fault for taking Lloyd that route...For once, Cole felt pretty guilty over something, which is normally super hard for him to do. Cole did all the things he normally did, said bye to his dad, and walked to the bus stop. He and Lloyd were quiet. They didn't exactly tell the others what happened yet, but probably planned on it later. Maybe during lunch. The bus ride was smooth, Cole sat with Lloyd on the way. "So...you alright Lloyd?" Lloyd nodded. "Yeah, still a little shaken up, but I'll live. I don't like this stuff happening when I'm trying to leave the gamer club though, it's just more stressful shit." "Yeah, but those thugs aren't coming back, so why worry about them now?" "It was a shitty thing that happened, I can't just get over it like that, Cole." Cole didn't exactly have a response for that, so he just kept quiet on the way to school. When they arrived, Cole went to his class, and bumped into the Janitor. Skull Sorcerer grumbled, and shook his fist at Cole. "Damn you Cole, watch where you move!" Cole shrugged with a smirk. "Okay, I'll watch where I go, and you watch for a better paying job!" He walked away before Skull Sorcerer could throw a fit, as he usual does. Skull Sorcerer didn't have any sort of knowledge usable by the students, so he was forced to take the janitor job. This has made him incredibly salty with life, where students only assume he drinks himself to near death at home. Cole got to his class, which was Mr. Acronix. His class was so easy even Cole could do it. "Alright dudes, I'm gonna set a video up on the screen, just pay attention, and I'll link it to you all on your school emails, incase you need to watch it after class." Mr. Acronix said. This translated to the students as: "You don't have to pay attention at all, do whatever." Mr. Acronix luckily was so chill, he barely did anything, unless students were loud, or disruptive. Harumi was lucky enough to get this class, which maximized her gamer time work.

Cole pretended to watch the video, since he was too busy thinking about last night, to browse reddit, like he usually did in the class. Harumi was discussing Siege, CoD, or Halo tactics, with her gamer squad on discord. Harumi poked Cole's shoulder to get his attention. "Hey, Cole. We're gonna discuss Siege tactics during lunch. Wanna join us?" Cole didn't have anything better to do, so he agreed. "Alright good. I'd have Lloyd join but I don't think he can play Siege." "Yeah, and I don't think he ever will." Harumi looked confused. "What do you mean? He has to if he wants to stay in the club." "Uh, he'll explain later." Harumi didn't look too happy, and went back to her phone. Cole wasn't going to like how she'd react to Lloyd's resignation, if her current reaction was an indication. When class was over, Harumi walked out, without talking to Cole. Oh boy.

Everything was the same till lunch. The ninja gang decided to all sit together. "So, how was everyone's classes?" Zane asked. "Good, except math." Lloyd said. Kai agreed with him. "Yeah, Morro was being Mr. Cryptor's pet as usual. He'd probably die for his teachers." he said, joking. Jay spoke up. "Pretty sure he did die for his teachers long ago." There was silence at the table. "Elaborate." Kai demanded, confused. "Well, some students say Morro, when he was alive, was eating some food outside of the teacher conference room, when he started to choke on it. Despite losing oxygen, he didn't want to interrupt the meeting! So the teachers open the door 30 minutes later to find Morro's corpse, and his ghost just sitting there!" Most of the gang were dumbfounded. Cole was laughing at the idea. "There's no way that's true. Morro doesn't simp THAT hard for the teachers!" Kai said. "Oh are you sure though? He talks to them outside of school! I've seen it before. It's weird!" Jay said. "I hate that kid. He screeches whenever I get near him. It's like he's never seen a woman." Nya said, annoyed. "Did you ever consider it is because you have the power of water, which will kill him?" Zane asked. "...I guess that's a good point...but does he REALLY need to scream?" Nya asked. The anti Morro discussion was cut short with the arrival of Harumi. "Hey Cole, ready to head to the gamer club?" Cole looked at her. "Can it, wait, friends and I are talking." Harumi was not having that. "Your friends can wait. Gamer club is more important. Lloyd, you should come too." Lloyd's time has come. He was gonna have to tell her his plan. "Harumi...I don't want to be in the club anymore." Harumi smiled, but it wasn't the good kind. It was the scary kind. "Excuse me?" "Harumi, I don't like it at all. It's loud, UV is a bitch, and I just can't deal with it." This was a shock for everyone, since they don't hear Lloyd curse often. Harumi still smiled. "Lloyd, I need you in the gamer club. You should change your mind. NOW." Her words scared Lloyd, but he remained vigilant. "NO. I hate it, and I'm not staying." Harumi could of blew a fuse then and there, but turned around, walking back to the club. "You better change your mind. Cole, get over here. Cole shrugged at the others. "Hey, I don't want her even more pissed." Everyone agreed with him for a change. "Good luck..." Jay said. Surely Harumi wouldn't be that pissed, right?

"That son of a bitch!" Harumi yelled at her desk. "He's really gonna leave? We need him!" Her cronies were around her, while the "grunt" gamers were busy training. Cole was a bit confused. "What exactly do we NEED him for?" Harumi shook her head. "He's the PRINCIPAL'S son, do you know how much power that'd give us? That'd give us a chance at proper funding! Think of the E-sports potential!" Well, Cole wasn't expecting this sort of anger. "So...you were just using him? Was E just throwing for him?" Harumi tried to defend herself. "Come on Cole, of course I had him throw, we all agreed on it! It's how the world is! You think that's a bad thing?" Cole wasn't ready to lose a club with his interests, so he played along. "Uh...yeah, I guess that is a good idea. Shame he left." "Oh he hasn't left yet, he needs to make it official with the supervisor teacher. I'm gonna convince him one way or another to stay!" UV cackled. "Yeah Harumi, I bet you have tons of ideas!" Killow agreed. "Nothing will stop the Sons of Gaming!" E was silent as usual. Harumi took a drink of water and sighed. "Okay, let's move on from this Lloyd situation. Cole, how good are you at Siege?" "I'm silver 1 in ranked." Harumi was impressed. "Hm, that's pretty good. We're all gold 3, but E is gold 1. You have potential to join our Esports team." "You guys have a Esports team?" "Uhh...well we have a PLANNED team. We don't have a good enough sponsor to actually get into Esports. It's me, Killow, UV, and E right now. We need a fifth, that could be you." The idea made Cole excited. Joining a Esports team? Incredible. "I'll absolutely join you guys." Harumi held a finger up. "Now hold on, not yet. You need to get into gold rank before you do that. Got it?" Cole nodded. "Okay...but don't you need Lloyd to be in the team?" UV snickered. "Of course not! We just need him so we can get to his dad! He doesn't need to do shit!" She and Killow laughed. "Right...Cole said. "I'm gonna practice some shooters..." He walked over to one of the TVs and picked up a controller. He was next to two gamer grunts. One wore orange, another wore purple. "So, where's the rest of your team?" The orange one asked. "They all got uh, sick. They went out to eat at some shitty restaurant and got food poisoning. Erm, Lucky I wasn't there." The purple guy said. The orange guy shook his head. "Bet it was that new one. Some rich guy opened it, but he only ran a hotdog stand before, and blew it! Can you imagine?" Cole took a peak at the two, trying to pay attention to them, and CoD. He caught a look at the purple guy. Fairly normal, if greasy hair...and a tattoo on his eye. Cole gasped, which the two heard. "What the hells the matter with you?" The orange guy asked. "Oh, nothing, just got 360ed in this game." The two went back to their conversation. The tattoo was just like that thug's. "Holy shit..." Cole muttered to himself. This was big.
