"Hey Athena, are you down her-Whoa…" Faith started as she came down the stairs to the main training area. She paused her movements in awe and disbelief.
And what caused her to stop, you may ask?
The sight of Diana training in the nude.
Diana moved gracefully with sword in hand, in a sort of elegant dance, which Faith recognized as some sort of martial arts kata. Her movements were well practiced and precise. Diana's muscles rippled with obvious power as she moved about the room. Faith's mouth became very dry as she watched. She suddenly felt very guilty about watching her girlfriend's mother, but felt too entranced to turn away.
Diana paused without warning, her broad back to the Dark Slayer, causing Faith to tense.
"Greetings, Faith." Diana said.
"H-H-ey." Faith stammered.
Before any more conversation could occur, there was the sound of footsteps coming down the steps. Both women turned to witness Athena's arrival in the room.
"There you are girlfriend! I was-" Athena stopped her sentence when she noticed her mother's presence.
"Oh look, it's Mom! Hi Mom! Getting some early practice I see." Athena said sardonically.
"Daughter." Diana replied. She walked towards them and halted, basically trapping Faith between her and Athena.
For fuck's sake, I'm so horny right now. Faith thought.
Athena and Diana looked down at Faith and an amused smile appeared on their faces, then Diana walked around them and proceeded up the staircase.
Faith swallowed hard and blew out a strong exhalation of repressed breath, which made Athena laugh.
"Did you like what you saw?" Athena asked playfully.
"Don't joke about it! Christ on a crutch! Are you not bothered about seeing your mother bare it all?!" Faith exclaimed.
"Nope. Seen it before. So, breakfast?" Athena replied nonchalantly.
Faith stared in shock at her.
Okay...wow… Faith thought.
Buffy entered the library and stopped when she saw who was there.
"Hey Buffy." Helen greeted.
"Hi." Buffy answered uneasily.
Helen was sitting at the table with book in hand. She cocked her head at the smaller woman.
"What's wrong honey?" Helen asked.
"Wrong?! Nothing! Nothing's wrong! Everything's super unwrong! The exact opposite!" Buffy replied. She let out a nervous giggle and started twirling her hair.
Helen got up and walked over to Buffy and looked down at her, eyebrows raised. Buffy looked up at her uncertainly. Helen took one of Buffy's hands in her own. Buffy felt her body tingle.
"Are you thinking about the shower incident Buffy?" Helen asked softly.
"Yes. I feel guilty about it. We're both involved with someone else! I-I-just…" Buffy began.
"Buffy? Helen?"
Helen looked up and Buffy turned around to see Willow standing in the doorway, staring at them uncertainly.
Ares, Hera, Bellona, and Neil were waiting patiently for Giles, who was busy speaking to a detective.
They were all standing outside an apartment building which was surrounded by cops and reporters. As they stood there, the four of them could hear snatches of the reporters' reports:
"A horrific scene-"
"Police report a literal bloodbath-"
"Multiple homicides-"
"The perpetrators have not been caught-"
They all turned as Giles approached them.
"What's the word Giles?" Ares asked.
"Everyone who lived in that flat complex has been butchered. It is a literal massacre." Giles replied grimly.
"Any suspects?" Bellona asked.
"None. The police have no leads. Whoever or whatever committed this horrific atrocity has vanished without a trace." Giles answered.
"Definitely monsters then." Neil commented.
Before anyone could comment on Neil's comment, Hera spoke up:
"Who the fuck is that?" Hera asked, pointing at someone across the street. They all turned to look.
And saw a large man in blue mechanic clothes standing in the shadows of a nearby alley.
Wearing a William Shatner mask.
He stared at them.
They stared at him.
"Got a problem, you limp-dick motherfucker?!" Hera snarled at the masked weirdo.
He watched for a few minutes more, then turned around and walked away, almost seeming to vanish without a trace.
"That's all we need. Some asshole dressed up like Michael fucking Myers wandering around Sunnydale." Bellona snorted.
"Who?" Giles asked.
"Famous horror movie killer." Ares explained.
"Ah, I see." Giles responded. Then they all looked at each other.
And started walking after the mysterious masked man.
As they left the area, a creature observed them from the rooftop.
He wondered if they would make good prey.
Very fine trophies, perhaps.
Soon, he would know.
"Hey Willow." Helen said casually.
Willow waved slowly in response as she walked up to the other two women. She paused and looked down as she reached them.
Buffy was initially confused by Willow's action but then realized Helen was holding her hand still. She quickly freed her hand from Helen's.
Helen looked at Buffy, then at Willow, then kissed Willow on the forehead, which caused the redhead to blush, and with that, sat back at the table and resumed reading her novel.
Willow and Buffy looked at each other, then at Helen, then back to each other.
"What's going on?" Willow asked.
"Well, O bestest friend of mine. It's well...like this-" Buffy started.
"Buffy and I slept together." Helen casually interrupted.
"HELEN?! WHAT?! NO!" Buffy shrieked in dismay. She started jumping up and down acting like she was being strung up by a hangman's rope.
"BUFFY?!" Willow shouted.
"What are you two overreacting about?! It happened, Jesus." Helen scolded them as she looked up at them.
Buffy and Willow's response was to turn around and march away like a couple of robots in perfect sync out the library doors.
Helen just sighed and went back to her book.
Elsewhere…
An US Army Chinook flew through the skies of Colorado at a rapid pace. The radio suddenly crackled to life.
"Unidentified aircraft on course 23-06, this is Cheyenne Mountain Command. Please state identity and intentions." came a firm voice from the radio.
"Cheyenne Mountain Command, this is Chinook 236 bringing in two lost birds. We are expected, over." the pilot responded.
A moment passed, and the voice then replied:
"Confirmed, 236. Maintain present course and speed."
"Copy that." the pilot replied.
Less than thirty minutes later, the massive helicopter was approaching the landing area at Cheyenne Mountain. Military personnel hurried back and forth to prepare for its landing. A set of double doors in one of the main buildings opened and a heavyset bald man in a general's uniform strode through, followed by a doctor and several nurses and armed airmen.
As the general, doctor, and company reached their destination, they halted and watched the Chinook land and the rear door open. Several of the crew wheeled two large opaque pods out and approached the general and his staff. The leader of the helicopter crew saluted the general as he and his people stopped in front of them.
"General Hammond, I am Captain Davis. We have brought you the two survivors of the alien vessel crash, as ordered."
"Understood, Captain. Welcome to Stargate Command. What is the current condition of the aliens?" General Hammond said.
"Not sure, sir. We've never encountered beings like these before." Captain Davis responded.
"May we see them?" Doctor Fraiser asked.
The Captain nodded, and had his men remove the opaque coverings, revealing the transparent pods underneath.
Hammond and Fraiser stared at the unconscious occupants of the pods in shocked disbelief.
Hammond turned to one of the airmen and ordered:
"Have them contact SG-1 at once. Bring them back from their current mission immediately."
The airman nodded and hurried off. Hammond then looked at Doctor Fraiser.
"Take them to the infirmary, and hurry."
The doctor nodded, and she and her medical staff took custody of the pods and left with them, running back to the double doors they had come through.
Hammond stared at the two pods until they were moved out of sight.
What the hell?! He thought.
"What the fuck did this?!" Zeus wondered, turning one of the dead demons over.
"Got me man." Neptune answered.
What they were referring to was a massive hole in the demon's body. It was literally scorched, as though a laser beam had burned through his chest. All the other deceased demons were in the same condition.
"I've never seen a weapon do this." Artemis commented as she examined the wound, shaking her head.
"At least not in real life." Apollo observed.
They had been trailing a pack of demons that had been responsible for murdering several campers in the forest. The four of them had finally cornered the demons and were ready to attack.
Only to find they had been attacked by someone else ahead of time.
Looking at each other in confusion…
...they didn't initially notice the targeting lasers aimed at them.
