An Important Notice from Lincoln and Lori

The curtain pulls back, a cozy dimly lit living room setting is revealed. Two figures are seated side by side on a couch, nothing more than silhouettes in the darkness. A spotlight shines from above, illuminating the two. One is a fair haired young woman, just starting her first year of college. The other a middle school aged boy with white hair.

"Hi everyone!" The boy greeted with a wave. "Lincoln Loud here."

"And I'm Lori Loud." The young woman said. "We're here today to share an important message with you."

"This story isn't dead." Lincoln continued. "It's just sorta…. been set aside due to some things coming up."

Lori nodded. "Yes, you see, the author has had a lot going on in his life the past few years. I'm sure many of you noticed how the updates became fewer and further between."

"But he hasn't completely lost interest in the story. He just lost his focus." Lincoln added. "He's trying to get back into things, but having a little trouble due to having found a new fictional show that caught his interest. But that isn't really a bad thing. He's gotten back his passion for writing and there's even been some loyal readers out there who have shown him there's still people who want more of this story."

"He has been ever so slowly been getting back into writing the next part of this story and while he cannot say how soon it will be ready to post, he wants to let all of you know he's making progress." Lori said. "Once he's got something ready, he will put notice of it up on his profile page."

"And he'll be sure to try and keep at it until he's gotten to the final chapter. Then he can start some of his other ideas for the Loud House."

"Whoa, whoa, whoa." Lori said, standing up. "What do you mean by 'start' his other ideas? He still has another story to finish. What about 'Beating the Blues'? I want to see how things turn out with that!"

"Um, well… he could I guess…" Lincoln replied.

"Could nothing! He'd better!" Lori exclaimed before raising both hands to cup around her mouth. "Just because Luna and Sam are a canon pairing now doesn't mean you can just drop the idea! Think of your readers!"

"Yeah!" Called a voice from off of the set. "And what about 'A State of Mind'?"

Lynn Loud Sr. walked in to join his children, taking a stand beside his oldest near the couch.

"There's only one chapter for that story and I for one think it needs to be continued!" Lynn said, gently patting his fist down onto his palm. "I want to see what adventures he has planned for me as 'Loudman'!"

"Dad, that is literally not going to be the focus of the story." Lori said, placing a hand on his shoulder. "I'm sorry, but you're more of a B-plot in that story if anything."

"Aw, ding-dang-darnit! Well, do you think he could at least do a story where I can be the main character?"

Lincoln shrugged. "Maybe. It's up to him. But he's already got a lot of ideas he wants to work on. So it may be a while, if he even comes up with an idea."

"Plus he's got a few requests that were made ages ago that he really wants to finish." Lori added before turning to face the readers. "Oh and by the way, he will no longer be taking any requests. He just doesn't have the time with his schedule and the other stories he wants to write. So please don't take it personally if you ask and he says no. Okay?"

"He's had it posted on his profile for a while now." Lincoln said. "Feel free to check it out now and again if you're curious as to what he'll be posting. He updates when he's close to posting something new."

"And remember to like, comment and subscribe." Lynn Sr. suggested.

"Dad, that's literally a different website!" Lori whispered. "And he doesn't create content for it either!"

Lynn Sr. sighed. "Why do you kids have to have so many things to do on the internet?"

"You can kinda do the same thing here." Lincoln pointed out. "But I'm sure they get the idea. Not that anyone has to. The author is happy to know that people are at least checking his stories out."

"But he always appreciates honest feedback and constructive criticisms." Lori mentioned. "So don't be shy to share your opinion if you have one. And keep your eyes open, it may not be anytime soon, but an update for this story is on the way."

"Thanks for stopping by and take care!" Lincoln said, waving to the readers.

Lori and Lynn joined him as the spotlight dimmed and the curtain was slowly drawn shut. The overhead lights turned on again and on the curtain there were three words embroidered in cursive.
