Will blinked or at least he thought he did but it was pitch black either way.
"Welcome Gamer! Your brother's consciousness has already started his character build so let's catch you up to speed."
Who are you? What is this place? Where's Drake? Will frantically thought
The last thing Will remembered was running away from his brother after their fight. Over what, he couldn't remember. Something to do with his manga then a truck came.
"I find the best place to start is the beginning. I am the Game and you? You are dead. Luckily I was able to pull you and your brother here after your cough accident. Your brother Drake got here first so he has had the time to start on a character build,let's catch you up to speed so you are not lagging behind."
After the explanation, the knowledge of his past life started to come back to Will. Who he was, what had happened and how it had all gotten to this point.

Lizard skin- Have the strength and thick skin of a lizard man only lasts ten seconds (upgradable) cool down 60 days- Vit weakness: discover able
Master Chef- handle knives with ease know exactly how to prepare everything (can't be used offensively) weakness: discover able
Slime body- for 30 seconds + Vit/Dex become a slime. While a slime, no cut or blunt damage is permanent . Fire damage +100% Water damage +30% (other abilities available through Stat Upgrades) weakness: discover able
OverDrive- x2 to all stats every Boost (3 available) once a month weakness: discover able
Master Chef is out and so is lizard skin. OverDrive is tempting but knowing his brother he should choose the most versatile to make up for any of Drake's weaknesses. Slime it is! Now for stat points. Looks like Vit and Dex should be the main focus

Alright my first ability that's so cool and it looks like I can upgrade it too. But what's this about me being a bit dumb. Ugh stupid game. Now I want to go to my brother's favorite anime.
With a white flash the status screen disappears and everything goes back to being dark.

The annoying beep of my alarm clock telling me it is time to wake up rudely pounds in my sleepy head and I slap my alarm clock just to shut it up. Man it ruined such a good dream. I can't believe I had such a vivid dream but no way it was real. People don't just get stat points out of nowhere.

You have slept comfortably in your bed. You are in perfect condition. HP and MP have been restored 100% each. All ailments and negative status effects have been cured.
My eyes shoot open to a blue screen floating in front of me. I should be freaking out but one look around my room and I can tell it's not my room. I mean it's Drake who's obsessed with MHA not me and yet there's Hero posters all around as well as action figures. Besides My lazyass brother and I would share a room in my old world and he's nowhere to be seen which means this is the new world and I really did die and get reincarnated. Knowledge of my new background in this world rushed to me threatening to make me forget my old world but Gamers mind equalizes it for me. I rush to my brother's room to find him staring at his status screen with a blue lettering over his head saying Drake Fellowes Gamer Lvl. 1. He looks up to see me and goes
"Well damn isn't this cool!"
"No dude it's not" I exclaim
"How so?"
"We will fucking die here! It's a world of superpowered idiots who fight all the damn time!"
"Relax man, we got this. Oh and have you checked out your status yet."
"Not yet. I was confused when I woke up in a strange room." I sighed
"Well I just completed step one through five of being a gamer, yo!" Drake exclaimed while looking like an anime character, " dude your status about being dumb must suck. I mean why else have you not even opened your status."
"What are the five steps?" I ask
"See slow on the uptake and didn't even notice my insult. The five steps are 1. Open status 2. Investigate skills and perks 3. Earn one status point to acknowledge what you discovered was correct 4. Decide what skill to start leveling and 5. Develop the skill Observe. Right now it's only level one but it's fine." Drake explained carefully and patiently
"Oh, I guess I need to catch up. STATUS!" I exclaim

"Will! Keep it down will you! And Drake, get out of bed, you have school soon!" admonishes a middle aged woman who had blue lettering claiming her name as Rebecca Fellowes Greatest Mom Lvl. 15. As I look at my new mom, memories of our history here in MHA flood my brain. Apparently, my father was a well-known machinist with a thinking quirk that gave him the ability to make hero equipment by seeing them in action, as such he made tons of equipment for heroes, he stood at a solid 5'6" and had a scruffy-dwarfish look going for him, the whole beard and burly shoulders thing. My mom had a heteromorphic quirk that made her look a bit like a gnome and had curly brown hair and eyes, but don't mistake her short body for being weak cause damn could she wield a wooden spoon. We moved to Musutafu, Japan when dad was threatened by some villains to make them gear. Instead he contacted some heroes and we were placed here for protection. Lucky us, he had no problems getting a job working for some hero organization. Mom however lost her job as a cook at a restaurant and became a stay-at-home mom. Drake and I are attending a public school not far from our house.
"Morning, Ma! Sorry for being loud. Will here is just excited for school. There's a cute boy!" Drake said mischievously as he got out of bed and walked over to our mom and had to bend slightly to hug her.
"Ooo, a boy!? How exciting!" Mom said scandalized,"So soon too!"
"No, mom, no boys! What are you trying to do here Drake!" I exclaim
He just laughed as he ran down the hall. Sighing I follow him to the bathroom to start my morning routine.
"Man, your Gamer's Mind must be working overtime if you calmed that fast." Drake said as I walked in to the bathroom
"Oh right I haven't checked my status!" I say as I slap my head. I notice that my status still hasn't disappeared. I quickly run through things and realize that a few things have question marks and gibberish. "Yo do you have gibberish and question marks too?"
"Why don't you check for yourself?"
"How?''
"Dude, seriously? Use your Observe skill!"
"I don't have that."
"You still haven't done that!? The second thing I did was create Observe. It's so useful."
"How do I do that?"
Drake shakes his head as he walks me through skill creation. After try a couple of times a blue box pops up.

It felt nice to know that he cared so deeply for us that it showed on his status.

"I can sense everything in a 20 ft radius. I can also double it with observe to learn about everything within my range."
"Not bad!"
"Boys! STOP MESSING AROUND AND GET DOWN HERE! SCHOOL STARTS SOON!'' Mom yelled from the kitchen
"Sorry Mom!" I yelled back as Drake looked mischievous,"What's that face for?''
"Race you!" he rushes out like a bat out of hell, slamming the door to slow me down. Instead I slimify and seep through the vent in the bathroom and ooze into the kitchen, plopping down in one of the seats as I see Drake come down the stairwell. I give a smirk and look at mom and immediately regret my actions as I see flames of aura raging around her small frame, wooden spoon in hand.
"Will Fellowes! What have I said about going through the vents! Now I will have to wash your clothes and you will have to change! I swear it's like you don't even think!"
Looking down at my dusty pajamas I give a sheepish smile and say "At least the vents are super clean now?" which just earns a smacking. Drake laughs as I run back up to change my clothes. I come back down to see my brother with his backpack waiting for me at the door. I grab my things and my mom tosses me a thing of food. I turn slime and gobble it up without hesitation and seamlessly continue with my trek out the door to catch up with my older twin just like I always did.
"It was weird seeing how easily you melded with that memory of mom and your daily routine!" Drake said bewildered
"What do you mean? We always do this." I say quizzically
"Oh I see you just accepted those memories as yours instead of putting a difference between them! I however retained my memories of before and made a difference between those memories and my old ones!" Drake said philosophically
I shrugged realizing I would not understand what he meant. Maybe I needed a higher int stat.
"Well in any case, school should be interesting. It is only our second day and we will seem completely different to them." Drake continued as if nothing happened. I noticed he did that a lot. It always seemed like he was filing thoughts and hypotheses for later and ignoring them for now.
"I agree it will be interesting." I nod along while we walk to school.
