Chapter 15 One Year

Sora's POV

I woke up…to the sound of crying.

I turned my head towards the crib where my three month old twin daughters were in.

I sat up on the bed before stretching.

Then, I stood up before going to the crib.

"Good morning girls", I greeted. "My little princesses are feisty today, aren't they?"

With that, I picked up Kokoro and started rocking her.

Then, Hikari was picked up by her mother.

"Shush", she soothed. "It's okay sweetie. It's okay."

"Morning Kairi", I greeted.

"Morning Sora", Kairi greeted. "Happy anniversary."

"Anniversary", I asked in confusion.

Then…I remembered what today was.

"Crap", I yelled out in realisation. "Today is our one year wedding anniversary!"

"Bingo", Kairi said while giggling.

"I'm so sorry honey", I apologised. "I totally forgot that that was today."

"It's okay honey", Kairi stated. "After all, it's easy to forget stuff like that with these two."

After Kairi said that, I looked at Kokoro and Hikari, and smiled.

"Yeah", I agreed happily.

"Come on", Kairi said. "Let's go get our little princesses some bottles."

With that, Kairi and I walked downstairs.

A while ago, we moved out of my parents house and into our own place on the Destiny Islands.

"So", Kairi started while she was bottle feeding Hikari. "What are we gonna do for our anniversary?"

"Well", I started. "Since I totally forgot that that was today…I have no idea!"

"We don't have to do anything", Kairi stated.

"Are you kidding me", I asked in disbelief. "Of course we do! It's our one year wedding anniversary!"

"We'll have other anniversaries", Kairi pointed out.

"I know", I agreed. "But our first one is only going to happen once! We need to make it count!"

"If you say so", Kairi said. "So then, what do you have planned?"

"Nothing yet", I replied. "But I will soon. Just you wait!"

"Looking forward to it", Kairi stated.

Then, I went upstairs, put Kokoro in her crib, and called somebody on my Gummi Phone.

"Hi Sora", Axel greeted on the other end. "What's up?"

"It's me and Kairi's one year wedding anniversary and I forgot about it", I revealed.

"How do you forget about your wedding anniversary", Axel asked.

"Hey", I started in defence. "When you have to take care of twin babies, you forget things!"

"I feel yeah", Axel replied. "So, what do you want me to do?"

That Night

Kairi's POV

Sora was holding my hand as he guided me to a secret place.

"Are we there yet", I asked.

"Almost", Sora replied, before suddenly coming to a stop. "Okay, we're there. You can take off your blindfold now."

I did as told, and gasped in shock.

We were at the Bistro, and there was a fancily set table in the middle of it.

"Since we had our first date here, it only seemed fitting to celebrate our wedding anniversary here."

Hearing this made my heart swell.

Then, I grabbed onto Sora's hands and placed my forehead against his.

"I love you."

"I love you too."
