After the owner yells at the kids for letting their puppy go potty in the kitchen. Lorraine offers to clean the mess up.
"I can't let you do that." The owner says.
Lorraine shakes her head gently and smiles. "It's no bother at all."
"Towels are in the kitchen." The owner says before she moved past Lorraine to head to the comfort of her bedroom.
While cleaning up the mess, Ed crouched down to help his wife out.
"Maybe we should get a puppy." Ed says as he passes her a towel and some cleaner.
Lorraine looks at her husband. She gives him a smile. "When do we have time to care for a puppy? We are never home."
"That's untrue. We were home a month or two before we took the case before this one." Ed explains.
"We were home for a month, because Judy was starting school." Lorraine counters.
"Yes, but a puppy would be a good companion for her.." Ed smiles sweetly.
Once Lorraine cleaned up the mess, she stood. Ed assists her in taking out the trash while she starts the laundry.
"I know you and Judy always wanted a puppy, but if we keep taking back to back cases like this. We wouldn't be able to care for one. And with Judy's extracurricular activities and friends she is barely home as well." Lorraine explains when Ed comes into the kitchen.
Ed wraps his arms around his wife and kisses her temple. This causes Lorraine to smile and chuckle lightly. "You badly want a puppy, don't you?"
Ed chuckles himself. "It's that obvious, isn't it."
Lorraine turns to wrap her arms around his neck. "I'll think about it." She says smiling.
Ed smiles back, kissing her gently on the lips.
Just then they heard screaming coming from the bedroom where the owner was resting. They let go of each other and ran to the sound of screaming.
