The next day
I was pretty tired from staying up late last night talking. To make matters worse, the media decided today was the day to camp outside looking for any juicy details they could get on all might. After working for the Daily Bugle, I felt for these people but when they started harassing me and Momo about ALL MIGHT most of it dried up. Thankfully Iida arrived and started to give them a very detailed review of his impressions on ALL MIGHT as a teacher. Going through the front gate I looked back and saw the reporters were losing interest quickly in what Iida was saying. After dropping Momo of for her morning hero classes I went to my support class.
Thankfully, I could sleep during my workshop hours thanks to an on-campus restroom for the support course. Apparently, because many of the students work themselves to exhaustion, they need somewhere to rest that doesn't take up all the room in the nurse's office. Of course, it's not like you can lie about your condition and take advantage of their hospitality either. UA has a worker who checks the conditions of the students who request to use the room, apparently, his quirk is the ability to see our health. When I asked for more details he wouldn't answer.
After resting for a while, I got to work. I didn't have to worry about the damaged suit since I made the decision to make a second suit just in case. In fact, today I focused on fixing Izuku's suit instead since he didn't have a backup for his damaged one. Tough luck going against Mina and having her melt part of his suit. Thankfully, her acid didn't really burn him very much, although it was kind of funny seeing him, looking like he got a sunburn because he didn't properly put sunblock on. So, I did him a favor by fixing the suit. But because my time was limited, I held back on trying to add some stuff to the suit. Thankfully because his suit is a lot like my old one it was an easy and quick fix. While I was working, I would try to talk to some other students in the support class. But was ignored by most and only brief replies by a few. The only people I can hold a conversation with are Mei and Power Loader. I like Power Loader, he's pretty cool but there is only so much, we can talk about since he's a staff member. Mei got mad at me for the first time when she saw me working on Izuku's costume without adding any tech to it. I had to fight her off multiple times from changing the suit. Fortunately, the bell for the next class saved me.
When I arrived back with my hero class everyone was already there waiting for class to start. I went straight to Izuku and handed him his suit which he put back in his case while thanking me. While he did that other classmates started asking me if there was something, I could do with theirs as well. It was getting pretty crowded around me with classmates asking questions all at once. Some were asking about their suits, others about hanging out and other things. I looked to Momo for help but all she did was do the "what can you do?" gesture. Not cool Momo, not cool. While talking to talk I realized people stopped trying to get me to properly say their names, hopefully, it's because they like me and not because they gave up.
Thankfully Aizawa's sudden presence quickly made everyone head to their seats. He wasted no time getting on today's topic. "Class has started so listen up. I watched your recordings of yesterday's fights. Bakugou you lost so remember not everyone can beat the same, also stop pouting. Parker, you took too long to capture him, also next time we have mock battles you won't be allowed that suit. The point of this school is to teach you about your quirks."
I simply gave him a nod of understanding. Of course, he still thinks my abilities will evolve like most others. After me, he turned his attention towards Izuku. "Midoriya I also noticed that while you lost you were able not to break your arm. I would congratulate you if you were of any actual use during the match. Remember that you can also be a liability when you can't use your quirk. Get a handle on it okay? Your excuse of it getting broken won't always work." After grilling a few other classmates, he then made the second part of his announcement "Also today we will be doing something to determine your future. We will be choosing class reps."
Instantly everyone went from nervous to excited while waving their hands in the air trying to get people to choose them for the job. It was the complete opposite from midtown. Even Momo had her hand up, though I could understand her going for the position. Wanting some context, I asked Tsu to explain. She said it was like getting extra credit for our resume for when we go looking for an agency to work at. It's their way of showing we can be leaders; I was able to understand that. Soon all the students started to make a commotion, with everyone trying to argue their case while competing to be the loudest person. Thankfully, Iida was able to quiet them down by being the loudest one and suggesting they have a vote. When some classmates made the argument that it's too soon for a vote since we just got to know each other (then why are we choosing class rep now?) and wouldn't know who to vote he just replied that it means that whoever gets any extra votes deserves them.
After writing the name of the person I want as a class rep I handed in my slip and waited as counted the votes. When finished he wrote down the names of the students on the board from top to bottom. Next to each name was how many votes they had, with the top spot being Izuku with 3 votes and Momo with 2. looking at the bottom of the board I saw my name, Ochako, and Todoroki's name with mine at 0 votes. Everyone else had a single vote. I could see Iida was ready to cry. At first, I thought it was because of his low vote count but then I heard him be happy for the single vote.
Aizawa called Izuku and Momo to the front of the class, announcing them as the class reps. While Momo looked a little disappointed to not have won the top spot, Izuku was shivering in fear over being put in charge. Most of the class seemed okay with how the vote came out with the sole exception being Baku. Since deciding took most of the class time it was already time for lunch, so we split off into groups. I went with Izuku's group since it was the smallest one other than Todoroki and Baku being loners.
In the stuffed cafeteria Iida, Ochako, and Izuku were enjoying our meals as we talked about the votes. I wasn't very surprised when Iida explained why he voted for Izuku to be leader although I did disagree. "No disrespect Izuku but I personally think Iida would be the better leader. Iida, you say because he was able to figure out some hidden part of the test that makes him a leader, but I think that makes him the opposite. A leader is a person who can direct others with trust in them and have their trust. Its obvious Izuku is an analyst but that makes him more of an informer than someone to lead. You though can convince people to try something even if they don't completely agree with it. You gained my vote when you spoke up and were able to get the class's attention. I'm sure your brother would be proud to hear about it."
While Iida was crying from knowing I gave my vote to him and being believed in Izuku and Ochako asked about his family since I brought up his was here where Iida exposed the fact he was from a line of heroes and that his brother is a hero currently serving. Izuku quickly started to rattle off facts about Ingenium such as his record arrest count, current ranking, and the fact he has over 60 sidekicks currently working with him. Iida was eating up the praise obviously proud of his older brother and from my memory of briefly meeting the man I could understand why.
Before lunchtime was over an alarm loudly blared while letting it be known that a level three intrusion is happening, making many of the students get up and head to the hallway. An older student explained that a Code Three meant someone broke through the school walls which has never happened in his three years here. I gotta say that it was a bad idea to follow the crowd. By the time we were in the middle of the hallway, it had become so crowded that there was no more room to move. I could hear Iida trying to say something but couldn't make anything out over all the noise the other students were making. Thankfully, Iida realized that he needed to catch everyone's attention and mixed his quirk with Ochako's to fly above everyone and get to the front of the line unfortunately crashing into the wall in the process. Once there he was able to scream loud enough to get everyone's attention and calm them down by explaining we were not under attack and that as UA students we need to show we could handle any situation. Thankfully, his speech worked, and everyone went to their class calmly after that. He didn't notice but I recorded his speech and put it online and titled it "Future Leader: Ingenium jr." by the end of the day it had over 600,000 views and was on some news stations headline.
After the commotion where we found out someone destroyed the gate giving the paparazzi away (apparently no one saw who did it even though there had to be over 30 people there with at least half recording on cameras. Not even the security cameras caught anything. Other than that, Izuku gave his spot as representative to Iida while Momo had a look on her face.
On the way home while in the car I could hear Momo mumbling that it was unfair that she was still 2nd place even though 1st stepped down. She stayed that way the rest of the time we spent together except for the time when she asked if I was the one who voted for her. She asked this during dinner, so I just stuffed my face and dodged her question. Pretty sure she figured out I didn't. Thankfully by the next morning, she was back to normal.
This morning was pretty quiet since there were no reporters anymore. Momo explained that since all the local news stations and some visiting were caught trespassing the school was able to press charges so that they couldn't be near the school. She sounded so sure that it was the last time we would hear from them but looking around close enough I could see hidden cameras on people just "passing" through. I wonder if I caught them because I was once one of them or because I'm just that good? Probably the first.
Today I actually stayed with the Hero class since I received a message from Mr. Aizawa telling me that he had already let Power Loader know I wouldn't be showing up to support class for today because of a special event the class would be doing. Momo didn't know anything about it when I told her about the message. So now I had some extra time to talk to my classmates.
While talking with Iida and a couple other guys about our suits someone behind me tapped my shoulder. When I turned to face them there was only a floating school uniform. For a second, I thought it was a ghost before remembering that it was just a female classmate. I think Momo said her name was Tooru.
"Uh, hello?"
"Hey there! I haven't really gotten a chance to introduce myself. My name is Tooru Hagakure! I heard that you have trouble with names so you can call me Tooru." The floating clothing said introducing herself.
From behind her Tsu walked over from Momo's group. She stood next to Tooru and reminded me to call her Tsu. Not that I intended not to. From behind me, I could hear Mineta complain about girls coming to talk to me. He kinda scares me with that one-track mind. Not wanting to be rude I kept most of my focus on the girls in front of me. Although Mina ended up joining the group quickly.
"Oh well nice to meet you all again. My name is Peter Parker, sorry for anything I say wrong. I'm still practicing my speaking in this language."
"That's fine, just remember I'm Mina! Oh, but the main reason we wanted to talk to you was to ask you two things. You mind?"
To tell the truth I still get nervous talking to girls, even if I did have a girlfriend at one point. Plus, I do live with Momo and we became pretty good friends. Wow, maybe I'm not as bad as I thought I was.
"Sure, we still have a few minutes till class," Tooru asked the first question wondering why I wasn't with the rest of the class in the morning classes like English and math. I'm pretty sure I already explained this but remembered that I only told a few classmates. Guess the word didn't go around. "Well the faculty found it pointless to teach me something below my academic level since I was able to prove that there's nothing math-wise, they can teach me. And since English is my native language it's kinda pointless for me to take that class. Besides, since I made my suit myself, I get special permission to be part of the support course so I can keep making stuff for my suit."
After doing my best to answer her Mina and Tooru looked at me with wow expressed on their faces. Tsu had a thinking face as she put one of her fingers to her mouth. "Are you aloud to put so much tech in your suit? I mean isn't the purpose for us to learn how to best use our quirks?"
"True but there are only so far plain skill and quirks can go. Besides, I think the important part is to not become too reliant on my tech, so I'm still trying to balance the right stuff to put in and what's not needed. Besides, it also gives me a chance to help you guys out. Just let me know if you need some work done on your suits for an upgrade, I'm sure well think of something. So, what's the second question?"
Showing that she forgot what she was gonna ask Mina took over for Tooru (could remove not a requirement) and asked "Why are you and Momo also coming and leaving school together? We keep trying to ask her, but she refuses to answer."
"We live together," I said without thinking.
As soon as I answered I knew it was a mistake. Giant smiles were on their faces as they thanked me and ran off to Momo, saying something that started to make her go red. The more they talked the more her face resembled a firetruck and I knew it had to do with me. It didn't help that they didn't even try to hide it blatantly pointing straight at me. By the time Mr. Aizawa came to class and everyone was in their seat Momo's skin was imitating a tomato. When she looked at me as soon as she caught my eyes, she immediately turned back towards the front. Oh well.
Turning my attention to Mr. Aizawa it turns out we are having a field trip to a school building to practice our natural disasters skills. The class cheered at the thought of the new training while I just cheered for a field trip. I feel like I was forgetting something, but I was too excited to care. Before we were to head out, we could decide if we would use our hero suits or not. Everyone went in their suits.
While outside waiting Iida tried to make a plan for how we could sit but the buses didn't have traditional seating, so those plans went out the window. As we were getting on the bus, I was trying to console Iida since he was feeling down for failing to take charge of boarding the bus. I also paid attention as the others talked about their quirks and how much attention they could receive. The topics of quirks led to Tsu mentioning that Izuku's quirk is like ALL MIGHTS. While Izuku was trying to make an explanation, I decided to get into the conversation. "Actually, now that we're on the topic, Izuku I don't think your quirk is super strength. At least not like the kind I have at least."
The others looked at me with interest in their eyes while Baku was still mad about being commented about his temper. Izuku seemed the most interested in my comment. "What do you mean Parker? Sure, I can't use it very well, but I still hit really hard."
"Well after hearing everyone comment about your quirk, I decided to do a little investigation on it. I watched the entrance exam and how you punched that robot. Multiple things seemed wrong to me from it." By now even Baku was listening to me and Iida seemingly stopped sulking. I stopped talking for a moment to allow Izuku to think back to his punch from then. "Well, it was mostly two things. First was how you managed to break your body. First, you break your legs by jumping, then your arm taking down the robot. The only thing that should have been damaged is your arm from hitting the machine but it's easy to see you could handle it no from. So, the force your releasing is like a bullet in a gun that's wrong. (this needs to be rephrased cause I think I know what you're trying to say but I'm not sure.) Truth be told you should be having trouble like me where I have to focus whenever I do something out of fear of breaking something but instead you have to focus to get stronger. The second thing that bothers me is the damage you made. When you hit the robot instead of making a hole the size of your fist you instead made a crater bigger than your body. So, my best guess is that instead of super strength being your quirk you instead gather energy into your body from the environment, then force yourself to release it as a form of attack. I'm even willing to bet you can't use super strength for heavy lifting since that would mean holding onto that power instead of releasing it."
Izuku had the same shocked look on his face like everyone else. Looking around I started to wonder if what I said came out as rude or if they were starting to think it was weird how much I was trying to figure out his quirk. Thankfully Izuku quickly started to smile and ask me about other things. I mostly kept quiet about my abilities since I still had a hard time talking about my hero life. Though, I was almost able to convince everyone I could talk to spiders.
From my spot, I could see Momo sitting with Ochacko as she covered her mouth. While it was obvious Momo saw us as unsightly while Ochako seemed to be enjoying the show. Somehow, we ended up making fun of Baku's temper, so Mr. Aizawa had to quiet us down to let us know we arrived. When the bus stopped, we stepped outside to meet a person dressed as an astronaut in front of a big dome building. I didn't know him but everyone in the class was excited to see him. Izuku loudly explained that it was the space hero: No.13. a rescue hero rather than the fighting kind.
Taking our moment of silence, he took the chance to lead us inside where the building only seemed to get bigger. From the front entrance, we could see multiple sections that were to be our challenges. Burning city, sinking ship, mountains, destroyed city and a couple of others. While looking around I listened as No.13 explained that he made this facility to help train for any situation. He calls it the unforeseen simulation joint or the USJ for short. I'm pretty sure we were all thinking about "Universal Studios Japan" instead. Mr. Aizawa went to talk to No.13 and asked about ALL MIGHT and how he should have been there by now. No.13 explained that he spent too much time doing hero work in the morning and is resting at the teacher's lounge while holding up three fingers. Even though they were trying to keep quiet I could hear them just fine with my hearing even with my classmates causing minor distractions.
With their conversation finished they turned back to the class to start the class. Although No.13 did have one more thing to say….. well more like five. he explained how he has a powerful quirk with the name black hole. Because of its ability to suck up anything and turn it into dust. Izuku started to fanboy again explaining that's how he saved so many lives. While No.13 complimented him on being right, he also explained how this power also makes it very easy to kill if not used right. What scared me wasn't what he was saying, I figured it out quickly after breaking things with no effort. No, the fear came when my classmates heard of this. Was it really that surprising that their powerful quirks can seriously injure someone or kill them? Even Momo was showing signs of fear. The only people even close to fine were Iida, Todoroki, and Baku. Even as I continued to look at my classmate's relations and listened to the teacher's words I couldn't help but wonder if they keep such a tight lid on people's powers that they don't even realize how dangerous they are? I would have to remember some questions for later. At the end of his speech, No.13 made a bow and the class clapped and cheered for him.
As soon as we stopped clapping my spider-sense started to go off. It was a small feeling at first, but it got much worse when some of the lights turned off and a black portal appeared at the water Fountain. "Uh, Mr. Aizawa are we learning how to handle black holes also?" I ask pointing at the fountain.
"Black holes? Parker what are you-?!"
When Mr. Aizawa looked at where I was pointing even, he was surprised by the sudden appearance of the hole. For a split second the hole took the appearance of a shadowy person before expanding and someone came through it like a portal. The person who came through didn't look much build-wise but left an impression with parts of his body being held onto by hands. It was quick easy to see that the person who came through and the other people coming through the portal were not part of this since Mr. Aizawa quickly ordered 13 to protect us. When some of my classmates tried to get a closer look, I held them back with Mr. Aizawa ordering them to stay back while putting on his glasses. "This isn't your training. This is the real deal. These are villains."
While my classmates stood in shock I just wanted to go down there and take them down but knew I needed to stay with the class. I knew it wasn't a good idea to fight with so many people in the way. "Everyone we need to get out of here! We need to let the faculty at UA know what's going on!" I said turning to face my classmates.
Mr. Aizawa told the class to follow as I said while instructing No.13 to protect us while he would fight the villains alone. I didn't like the thought of him fighting alone but knew that if any criminals made it past him their obvious choice of attack is my classmates. And I know No.13 is considered a hero but it was made obvious that fighting is not his forte. The last one to leave the portal was a giant humanoid person with a bird face with the brain exposed. When Mr. Aizawa jumped into the group of villains there had to be more than 20 at this point and that's just the ones I can see from where I was. I'm sure there are more hidden somewhere.
When the class turned around to head back to the entrance the portal from earlier opened in front of us and revealed itself to actually be a person who can turn his body into a portal. In the front, No.13 got ready to use his quirk when Baku and Kirishima jumped in front and tried to hit the new villain with their quirks. Sadly, it seemed like their attacks had no effect. Probably because it seemed like he had no physical body except for glowing eyes and some kind of guard around the neck. If he does have a body, it seems to be hidden by the black mist he was radiating. Before No.13 could take a shot at the strange enemy suddenly, the enemy's black miasma sprang into action and covered almost half of us. With my senses warning I grabbed two people and tried to jump away but was too late and got pulled into the portal and into a different part of the USJ with Momo, Jiro, and Kaminari. Feeling a bit dizzy from the forced travel and having multiple bodies on top of me made me slow to get up from the ground. Will say though not the worst feeling to have two pretty girls on top of me. Once everyone was up, we looked around to access the situation. We were in what I would guess is the mountain area. When I tried to use the communicator in my mask to call the outside for help all I got was static. Kaminari suggested the idea of it being another person with an electric quirk blocking the signal.
Taking the moment to take one of my web-shooters I explained that I added a feature that lets me turn them into drones directly linked to my mask so I can see the surrounding area. After giving the drone a moment to look around it returned to me. After installing it back into my suit I saw everything the camera saw. After focusing on the images, I could see the other students and where they landed. I could also see that all of them were being surrounded by villains, along with the fact some villains were on their way here. "Okay guys, on a scale of 1-10 how bad are multiple villains coming to kill us on the bad radar?" I ask. The news obviously put them on guard along with panic "By your reaction, I would say 8/10?"
By the time the enemy arrived we had already formed a circle to cover the fact we were quickly surrounded. Before any of the other classmates were ready one of the bigger villains took a swing at Kaminari which he was able to dodge. The other villains took this as a signal to attack also. Two tried to attack Momo at the same time while another took a shot at Jiro. Not willing to let them get hurt I jumped between the villains attacking Momo and did a split kick knocking them both out while webbing the one attacking Jiro towards me where I grabbed him and slammed him into the ground.
Kaminari kept running around dodging the giant who seemed to only want to attack him. "Can I get some help over here?! This guy is trying to kill me!"
"I think that means he likes you! Or that you remind him of someone he hates. Never know." I quip.
While Kaminari and I focused on keeping the enemy at bay the girls were at the face of the mountain with Jiro standing guard over the hunched over Momo who was focusing on making something. When an enemy got past me, Jiro plugged her earplug into her boot and sent a blast of sound that stopped him dead in his tracks. She then used the blunt end of her blade to knock the villain out. Tired of seeing Kaminari running around Jiro tried to inspire him to fight in her special way. "Hey instead of running around like a headless chicken, how about actually fighting?!"
Nice words of encouragement Jiro. "You know I can't use my quirk right now! If I do there's no guarantee any of you are safe since I can't control where my Lightning hits."
"That's where I come in."
Momo for the first time spoke up and told me and Jiro to get near her. After reaching her I wondered what she made when suddenly, the back of her vest ripped open, and out of her skin came a thick blanket. After checking the material, I quickly realized what the plan was and covered the three of us. When we were all covered Momo let Kaminari know that it was safe to let loose. After a minute of hearing electricity running wild outside the blanket, Momo made a small opening to look out of. Since the opening was the only source of light I looked and saw something that would forever be stuck in my memory.
"Momo, your front is gone! Parker, Kaminari you better not be looking!" Jiro quickly let Momo know about her situation making the girl turn red and making me turn away as quickly as I could. Thank god for my mask or else they would see my face just as red as Momo's. After giving Momo a moment to fix her clothes we stepped out of the tent and saw more than 20 unconscious criminals on the ground while Kaminari walked around with a dumb look on his face while giving some thumbs up. "Hey, Zapper you good?"
Jiro gave me the explanation "Oh I remembered he said something about using that much power can short circuit his brain making him an idiot."
From behind us, I could hear a small crack of something breaking. The noise wasn't loud enough for my classmates to notice but I did. My spider sense was also warning me of an upcoming danger. Looking to where the noise was coming from, I quickly found the source of what was making my spider sense go off. "Hey guys I think we missed one."
The girls turned to where I was looking and saw someone pulling himself out of the ground. What surprised me is the fact when he was standing sparks started to dance around his body. If I remember right people in this world only have a single set of quirks. Even though Tsu can do different things they originate from the same thing. So he should either have earth powers or electric powers. Oh, wait bad guy's talking better listen in. "Damn I was really hoping to keep things simple and easy. In fact, I was hoping to grab the idiot over there for a hostage, now I have to kill you the old fashion way."
Using my lenses, I scanned the person in front of us and I could see him using his electric quirk to power a small machine on him making him a living signal blocker. "Guys if we take him down, we can get a signal again to call for backup."
It was obvious my words brought new energy to them as they had a new focus to defeat this villain. Realizing he was about to fight, the villain prepared by putting as much electrical energy into his arms as he could. I took this as a sign that unlike Kaminari he couldn't shoot his energy but I could see that he is much more powerful, almost Electro level. Not wanting a long fight I grabbed the blanket and threw it on the enemy. Before he could get over his surprise of being covered and trying to remove it, I connected a strong hit to his midsection, and he went limp. Looking back, I didn't realize the distance I covered until I saw how far back the girls and Kaminari were.
Surprised by how quick I handled the threat the girls lead Kaminari towards me while I broke the signal scrambler. Jiro asked if this meant that we could make calls for help now but after trying myself I had bad news "Still nothing. Even if this was the guy doing most of the signal blocking there could easily be more. Although I doubt, they have any more people powering them most signal blockers do have a battery life of half an hour."
Momo made the situation even better by mentioning that some of the better ones can last a full day. Way to keep morale high Momo. While heading back to the entrance I did a check and found out something nice. "Hey, guys! I have access to the cameras around the dome."
While Momo and Jiro asked me, what was going on I did a check for all my classmates. "Okay so about half the class is gone from the entrance, and most of them are around the dome in different areas. The only one I can't find is Iida, but the front door is open, so I think he got away to get help. Oh my god, I think No.13 I seriously injured; the back of his suit is completely ripped open! All of the students not at the front are fighting villains themselves but seem to be doing fine."
The only people I didn't tell them about were Izuku, Mineta, and Tsu who were watching Mr. Aizawa fight the large group of enemies from the beginning but with many of them now down and out. What worried me was how obvious Mr. Aizawa was slowing down but trying to force himself to keep the same speed.
Seeing that we weren't far from the rest of the class a plan came to my head. "Listen you two get Kaminari to safety while I go help out Izuku and his group. Not giving them a chance to reply I jumped towards where Mr. Aizawa was fighting and reached them within a minute. Because I was rushing, I didn't have a chance to check the cameras but when I arrived the first thing, I saw was Mr. Aizawa on the floor bleeding. Except in the blink of an eye instead of it being my teacher on the floor, it was Uncle Ben there, bleeding because I failed him again. Looking around I realized that every other villain was already down except for two. Two that were in the middle of attacking my classmates, my friends. With anger that I rarely felt, I jumped towards the person with hands-on his body and punched him away from Tsu before he even knew what happened. Using the element of surprise, I grabbed the giant who took Izuku's hit and threw him onto Handy Manny causing him to fall under the weight of the giant. While they were busy getting back up, I quickly webbed Mr. Aizawa towards me and handed him to Tsu and Izuku, ordering them to get away as quickly as possible.
"And who the hell are you?" Emo jazz hands asked.
Turning back to the duo who are most likely the reason Aizawa is in such bad shape I listened as Izuku warned me of the handy one being able to destroy anything he touches while the big one is as strong as ALL MIGHT. He even mentioned that his hit that was able to one-shot the giant robot didn't have any effect on it. Still mad about what they did to my teacher I let them know "I'm the guy whose gonna knock you and Polly over there out."
I felt even though I had my mask's lenses blocking him he could still see how serious my eyes were from how his eyes just seemed to meet mine. After a moment of silence, he ended the stalemate. "Nomu…. kill him."
In an instant, the giant bird-faced villain was on me trying to get a swing in. Thankfully not so fast that I couldn't dodge or counter. Getting above his head I gave a strong punch and kick to the head. Realizing Izuku was right about his abilities I tried something different and grabbed him by the head and threw him into the air. Waiting for him to reach his peak point I connected my webbing to his back and pulled with all my strength causing him to slam into the ground and jumped into the air myself. Mid jump I connected a line of webbing to the floor and prepared to slingshot myself towards him to try and end it quickly but instead, Nomu got up and threw a big piece of the broken floor at me. Not willing to give up my attack I instead caught the giant rock with my feet and fired my body at him feet first. "Hey Nomu sticks and stones may break my bones but I'm sure this boulder will something worse to you!" I shouted at him before my attack connected.
Izuku POV
As we were getting Mr. Aizawa back towards the main group, I would look back to see Parker fight. Every step away from the fight made me feel worse but there was nothing I could do. Unlike Parker, I had no way to keep the monster at bay since even if I could use One for All my hit did nothing to it. Just seeing bits of the fight I could easily see that even though Parker didn't have enough strength to match the monster, he made up for it by skill and trying other ways to damage it. His favorite way seemed to be smashing it into the ground or using the debris to hit the monster, not that it slowed it down very much. The guy with the hands didn't do much other than watch and complain to the figure that appeared at the front, after being told that one of my classmates made it out of the building and is on the way to school. Hearing the news gave me hope of making it.
While we are getting to the group Mr. Aizawa was struggling to get out of our hands and trying to get back into the fight so he can pull Parker from it. By the time we arrived with the rest of the class, everyone was watching Peter's fight with the villains that we're able to put one of our teachers out of commission. Our arrival distracted everyone enough for Ochako to use her quirk on Mr. Aizawa so we could move him easier without the risk of injury. Tsu and I finally put Mr. Aizawa near No.13 scared for him since we have no idea if we made his injury worse just carrying him towards the rest of the group. Thankfully, he gave up on getting back up but that's only because he fell unconscious.
Ochako and Jiro took over watching our teachers while we watched the fight, thankfully Shouji was the lookout for any attacking villains that wanted to try their luck. So far though none have tried so far so we were able to focus on Parker. Watching him fight these serious threats I was able to quickly realize why he was considered the top of class 1A. Unlike the rest of us, he wasn't shaking with fear when the villains arrived but instead took control and tried to get us out of here. Yaoyorozu stated when he was with her group, he could have taken out all the villains attacking them by himself. There are so many things that are different from him to us. I don't see him as a student but as someone trying to prove himself. I see what I want to become, someone you believe can protect you with their presence. Watching Parker fight the villains at the same time now I truly believed he would keep us safe.
The main problem came when Nomu got his first good hit on Parker. Before that, he would barely get a few touches on Parker even with his immense speed and strength. It was because Parker tried to get a hit on the leader when another portal open in front of him forcing him to jump into the air to dodge the hand that came out of the portal. Nomu took advantage of his air time status by grabbing him even though Parker tried to do some Acrobatics in the air to dodge him but couldn't and ended up getting grabbed by the ankle and smashed into the floor with easily far more force than what was used on Mr. Aizawa.
Nomu held on and lifted Parker into the air for another smash when Parker was able to use his strength to force his body to spin in the air causing the Villain to spin with him and crash into the ground. Even though that crash should have made any other person unconscious Nomu showed no signs of damage nor the fact he even felt anything. To make matters worse he didn't even release his grip on Parker. While Nomu was just laying there Parker was hitting the fist holding him and it was easy to see he was starting to tire out. "Peter watch out!"
From next to me Yaoyorozu screamed a warning to Parker as a realized I wasn't watching the other villains and quickly saw the leader head for Parker while he was distracted trying to get out of Nomu's grip. Right before the leader could touch Parker's head Parker quickly ducked his head making the attacker's hand pass over him. Before anyone could get what happened Parker grabbed the leader's arm and directed his hand on the Hand that was holding him in place causing it the only real damage so far. While its hand wasn't fully destroyed it was obvious by the cracks in the hand there was some serious damage done giving Parker the chance to get back up and away from them.
Parker didn't get a chance to breathe before Nomu was on him again attacking with a frenzy. After dodging a big attack Parker used his webs to pull Nomu towards him and quickly smashed him into the ground again. Before he could follow up with another attack another portal opened behind with the hand of the leader quickly coming out hoping for this sneak attack to work. Parker was able to somehow know he was coming from behind and quickly turned while dodging the attack and catching the leader's arm without touching the hand. We could hear from over here as the leader cursed from the extra pressure Parker put into his arm trying to permanently damage it. As the leader was sliding back into the portal Parker did some extra damage by hitting him with the back of his fist that sent him flying back into the portal and into the floor from the exit.
While Parker was focusing on the leader Nomu got back up and took a swing at Parker who tried to dodge but was too late getting hit in the midsection and before he could get sent flying from the hit Nomu grabbed him from the air and smashed him into the ground again this time with even more force. I thought for sure Parker would be out by now but when the smoke cleared, I could see him still struggling, trying to free himself and continue fighting. Near me, Mineta was shaking in fear no doubt fearing what will happen as soon as they were done with Parker.
While Nomu held Parker down the masked leader was inspecting his face from under the mask. When I asked Yaoyorozu what he was doing since she was watching the fight with binoculars, she stated that he was checking the source of some blood on his hands. The scream of the leader quickly pulled my attention to him "IT'S MY BLOOD. THAT SON OF A BITCH ACTUALLY MADE ME BLEED. NOMU KILL HIM FOR CHEATING! KILL HIM!"
Following his orders, Nomu started to squeeze Parker even harder making him scream for the first time in pain. While my classmates stood there watching in fear as one of our own was being killed My feet moved on their own again, leading me to the danger. Even when my classmates tried to call me back to them, I ignored them with the intent to save Parker. If I can get that Nomu to let go of Parker by breaking an arm I can have Parker set him up so I can send him flying to another location with another hit.
Before I could even get to Parker, Todoroki slid past me using his ice to get there quickly and froze part of the body of Nomu, mainly focusing on the arms. Because of the loss of grip strength, Parker was able to get out of Nomu's hands and make some space for a breath. It was obvious from the wheezing noises he was making and how he was holding himself that he had some serious injuries.
Because the leader was still busy nursing the injury Parker gave him, he ordered the other minion to attack us. Before he could reach us Bakugou came out of nowhere and slammed him into the ground using his explosion to heel. "Nice try you bastard. You thought because you tricked me once I would fall for your trick again?! well you made a nice target on yourself by putting that armor around your neck. So, stay down if you don't want some serious burns!"
Kirishima came up running from the direction Kaa-chan came from, obviously tired from fighting and running to keep up with Kaa-chan. "Damn it, man, next time wait up. Not everyone's quirk is good for transportation you know?"
Looking at the new situation I started to gain confidence again, we had the advantage in numbers and the most dangerous enemies were incapacitated making us only have to worry about the leader. Although I was still worried about Parker since I could now see more details of the damage done to him thanks to the closer distance. Part of his mask was gone showing the left side of the front of his face. One of his web-shooters was obviously damaged with sparks coming out of it. Even with his injuries, he kept playing of his injuries as fine to Kirishima who wanted to try to take away from the fight. Using the stalemate Parker turned his attention towards me. "Izuku why haven't the class left yet?"
I was about ready to reply that our teachers were too injured to properly move them when suddenly a loud sound came from the front door. Everyone turned to look and standing there in a suit was ALL MIGHT. Usually, the sight of him alone would bring great feelings inside me but this time it was different. More like he was different. Usually, he showed he could handle any situation, save anyone in danger, do anything with a smile. I never saw ALL MIGHT in his hero form without that famous smile. This time there was no smile, instead, there was a scowl that brought fear to me even though I knew it wasn't directed at me. Even though he was pretty far away I had no problem hearing his loud voice " this ends now….."
The next thing I know is there is a sudden rush of wind next to me and ALL MIGHT just teleported next to me. Behind me, I heard a crash of something big hitting the ground. Looking back, I realized it was Nomu who tried to sneak up on me during the distraction and ALL MIGHT ended up saving me again.
The entire time ALL MIGHT kept his attention on the leader while I watched Nomu struggle to break free of the ice holding him. As a sign of growing anger, the leader let go of his injury so he could start to scratch his neck. Even though he was a good distance away he was making grunting noises so loud I could hear his anger rising. After a few seconds of making noises and scratching himself he suddenly stopped and now just held his hand up, opening and closing it like he was doing stretching exercises. Taking my eyes off him for a few seconds I looked towards ALL MIGHT wondering why he hasn't attacked yet and saw he was breathing heavily, it was much different than I have ever seen him. Sure, I've seen fights where he gets injured or tire him out but never just from arriving to the fight. "Nomu stop messing around and get Kurogiri back will you?"
In a terrifyingly calm voice, the Leader gave the order to save the person Bakugou was holding down. This made me look at Nomu just in time to watch him break free of the ice shackles. Watching him do so almost made me throw up but instead, I stood frozen in shock as he completely shattered both his arms into pieces with the ice. He even shattered his leg leaving him stuck on the floor with a single limb.
After flailing around for a few seconds Nomu laid still and from his body muscle started to stretch out of his body and form a new leg. We were all in shock, but Parker quickly got into action. First, he failed to web Nomu since his web-shooters seemed beyond use now, so he went for a direct attack but now it seemed that before Peter's hits that used to at least make Nomu move no longer had any effect on him. Because of the size difference, it was like watching a toddler attack a stone wall. In between one of Parker's hits, Nomu's right arm regrew in an instant and hit Parker before he could try to stop his attack and dodge. It sent Parker flying into a giant rock near Bakugou making giant cracks into it. ALL MIGHT quickly got in front of Nomu with a powerful hit but like Parker's attacks, it did next to nothing. ALL MIGHT continued to attack while blocking Nomu's own attacks, but I just kept remembering to earlier when my full-powered smash did nothing. Even though they were exchanging rapid speed hits I could tell that ALL MIGHT was winning most of them, but it was mostly because Nomu didn't seem to worry about defense. Taking a chance Nomu went for a straight shot at ALL MIGHT and took a punch but was able to land a powerful hit that sends ALL MIGHT back a few feet.
Turning his attention towards his downed teammate Nomu went to try and free him by tackling Bakugou off him. Todoroki tried to stop him with an ice wall but Nomu just smashed through it like it was paper not slowing down and sent Bakugou crashing into another wall. "Kacchan!"
"What?"
Making me shout and jump in fright was Kacchan who was somehow sitting next to me in a state of surprise himself over not knowing what just happened. Looking back to where the crash happened as soon as the air cleared, I was able to see Parker's unconscious body through the hole in the wall. It was obvious that ALL MIGHT also noticed Parker's form because he quickly started attacking Nomu again with even more ferociousness than before. "To not even show any mercy to a child even if it is to save an ally, I can only wonder if you can take what you give?!"
While the leader and his human portal were forced to watch the fight like us Todoroki tried to get involved but was stopped by ALL MIGHT who stated "You did a great job aiding young Parker escape this Nomu's; clutches but now it's my time to show you what a pro looks like in action up close!"
Todoroki tried to argue but ALL MIGHT refused to allow him into the fight instead ordering all of us to secure Parker's body and to check his health. Kirishima was the first to reach him since he was the closest but quickly let us know that he didn't know how to check a person's condition, only that Parker was breathing heavily with some obvious damage to his body. When the rest of us arrived, Todoroki ordered Kirishima and Kacchan to guard him while he checked how bad the damage was. While Todoroki was checking Parker's condition and Kacchan and Kirishima were standing guard I was looking at the man with the gate quirk as he started to fall on his knees and groan in pain. The enemy's leader just ordered him to grow a pair and get up.
Looking back at the fight ALL MIGHT was giving stronger hits than before that were actually doing some damage at one point sending Nomu flying into the air where ALL MIGHT met him mid-flight and sent him crashing into the ground. Landing in front of Nomu ALL MIGHT got prepared for one final hit that was making the outline of his glow and looked like he was holding a rainbow's light in his hand. "You may have heard these words before but take them to heart! When you have reached your limit, when that isn't enough, don't give up you just need to reach a little deeper and go PLUS ULTRAAA!"
ALL MIGHT took one last swing getting a direct hit on Nomu that unlike the others actually dealt some serious damage to it. As soon as ALL MIGHTS fist made contact Nomu's body started to expand and glow from ALL MIGHTS power invading his body that caused him to get sent flying into the rood of the building then through that and past the clouds.
Everyone conscious just started at ALL MIGHT standing there obviously tired from his heavy breathing. To make matters worse smoke was starting to come out of his body so while everyone else was looking at him in relief I still was afraid. After watching the intense fight that took place the villain's leader just started to growl and scratch his neck again while the person next to him continued to groan and flicker with his quirk. The leader just continued to ignore his minions' pain as he complained aloud. "This isn't fair, this wasn't how things were supposed to go. This was my moment."
"You still can sir (don't be afraid to name-drop people)." In a voice filled with pain, the human portal powered through his pain and explained his reasoning. "Look at him, the legendary hero can barely stand much less put up a decent fight. So, take this chance to end his legend and start yours!"
After listening to his minion's words the leader stopped scratching his neck and stared motionless at ALL MIGHT and I knew I would have to do something. I looked at Todoroki and Kacchan but knew I couldn't ask them for help without possibly spilling one for All Might's secret. Turning back to ALL MIGHT I no longer saw the same hero I did when I was a child, I saw a tired man, who had little left and would lose that if he tried to move. In an instant, I saw the leader dashing towards my mentor and I activated one for all in my left arm steeling myself for what I was about to do. "GET AWAY FROM HIM!"
I threw a punch that instantly broke my arm while sending a powerful blast of wind in front of ALL MIGHT stopping the leader in his tracks before he could reach him. He looked at me and screamed at me "Stop being an annoying pest!"
From nowhere a small portal opened in front of him and he just thrust his arm into it and another portal opened right in front of me with his hand coming out the other end giving me no room or time to react. It was all so slow as I watched as death was inching closer to me when all of a sudden, a hole appeared in the hand damaging it and causing him to pull back. It took me a second to realize I wasn't in immediate danger and looked around to see what saved me. Looking back with our classmates I saw another group now with them. For the first time since the Villains arrived, I no longer felt fear as I saw the school's faculty standing guard over my classmates. The one standing at the front was the gunslinger hero: Snipe. For some reason, all the Villains that were hidden until this point decided it would be a good idea to try and attack the group of heroes. Stepping to the front Present Mic screamed a loud "YEEEEEAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!" with his quirk stopping all the villains in their tracks. The fight was over, we survived and won.
PETER POV
A loud sound woke me from unconsciousness and the first thing I saw was Todoroki kneeling above me. The first thing I felt was the pain I felt from my fight with Nomu. "Todoroki?"
He quickly grabbed my shoulders and tried to keep me from sitting up, the keyword being "trying" since I still had enough strength to force myself up despite his protest. "Parker you shouldn't be standing. You took some serious damage in that fight."
Ha jokes on him I do that all the time. Ow! Guess I can't even make inner jokes.
Looking past Todoroki, I could see the villain's leader switching his attention between ALL MIGHT and the newly arrived heroes. Knowing that I couldn't use my web-shooters since Nomu crushed them I grabbed a web grenade from my secret belt and activated it causing it to beep as I handed it to Todoroki. "Listen you need to toss it at his feet! It'll make it harder for him to run!"
Simply nodding Todoroki grabbed the grenade and threw it at the leaders' feet where the impact activated it causing the webbing inside to explode out and trap him in the web. There was so much webbing that even with his quirk it would take a minute to break out. I quickly noticed that his ally turned himself into a black cloud again and was going to save his boss. Taking out another web grenade I just tossed it in his direction hoping for a hit but a portal opened before it could make contact with the ground and reappeared in front of ALL MIGHT encasing him also in a cocoon of the web. The only funny thing about it was because he was smiling his big old smile it caused some of the web to get caught on his teeth. I'm just glad my mask hid my smile from the funny scene.
By the time the human portal made it back to the leader, he was able to break himself out of my web cocoon. That's all he could do though cause after that he was hit in each leg by a bullet by one of the heroes at the front. It was obvious from all the damage he has taken the leader couldn't move anymore but at this point, he refused to go willingly with his ally. "Are you kidding me?! I'm so close to killing him, just a few more feet and I win!"
Not willing to argue the Portal surrounded his leader in the black mist and activated the portal pulling him into it but not before the leader could get one last word in. "Don't think you won today ALL MIGHT! Today I was able to prove you aren't untouchable, much less unbeatable!"
After that, his face disappeared into the portal but for some reason, the portal didn't disappear. Instead, it changed color to a bright green and a more circular shape. With the other villains taken care of the heroes got closer to the portal not willing to go inside in case it was a trap. After a few minutes of it being open is finally started to shrink when at the last second a figure was thrown out the portal to the feet of the heroes before it closed for good.
The Heroes surrounding the last person who came out but left enough open space that I could see that she had long white hair with a black- oh my god I know who that is. My suspicion was confirmed when the last portal jumper tried to stand up but was only able to get on her knees before she threw up on the floor. Ew.
Let's see… mask check, hair check, suit check. Check, check, check a Mundo. Yup, that's her. "Guy's wait! I know her, she's friendly!" OW OW OW OW OW my insides still hurt. Gotta stop screaming or talking loudly.
Thankfully it seemed like they were willing to give my words a chance since they got out of battle position, but it was obvious they didn't relax. The only female hero helped Black Cat to stand up and lead her outside, probably to get interrogated.
Thankfully I had enough strength left to stand, although Izuku decided to worry more about all might by running towards him. Before he could reach him through a giant wall formed from the ground completely separating them. Turns out the cement hero: Cementos was the one who created the wall trying to herd us towards the front. Well, I wasn't going to argue, I could barely walk. Everyone walked ahead of me while Todoroki stayed to my side with his hand on my back supporting me.
When my group made it outside, I could finally see that there was also a large number of police officers that arrived that were checking the area while questioning my classmates. The students who weren't being questioned rushed towards our group surrounding us and trying to get our attention. Izuku was talking to Ochako while Kirishima tried talking Baku into being nice and talking to our classmates. Mineta, Mina, Tsu, and Momo were talking to me and Todoroki but while he would give short replies, I completely ignored them trying to find black cat. It was rude and the look on Momo's face told me she knew I wasn't even hiding it. I'm going to be paying for this later.
It took me a minute, but I found Cat talking with the heroine who led her out. She seemed to be talking to her while looking around, probably trying to figure out where she was. While looking she caught me looking at her and pointed at me while still talking. Because she was far away and there was so much chatter going on, I couldn't tell what she was saying about me. I hope it was something nice, wonder if this time apart let her calm down about the whole jail incident. Oh, wait she's glaring, nope she has not forgiven, much less forgotten. This is gonna be fun next few days.
