"So, uh Felicia-"

"Call me Cat or Black Cat. It's weird to hear you say my name. Truthfully, I always hated the thought of finding out who you really were. In fact, the only reason I cared at all about your identity was because I was wondering how personal you were with my dad, since you wouldn't allow him to leave with us."

"Listen I know it's hard, but I just couldn't let him go. Sure, I would try anyone trying to escape prison but like you said it was personal with him."

"Cause of what he did to your uncle right?" I didn't say anything or even look at her since I was so uncomfortable with this topic.

She continued on "You know after he was arrested, I talked to him, asked him why he was taking so long to get out? He could have broken out on his own, would have been as simple as walking out but he told me he felt terrible for what he had done. Sure, he ran away originally but as soon as he had a chance to calm down, he was going to turn himself in. Were burglars not killers."

"That's nice but that doesn't make me feel any better."

"And it's not supposed to. I'm saying this because you should know, not so I can change your mind. Now after the day I failed to break dad out I did a whole lot of investigating trying to find out who you were and why you hated my dad so much. Wasn't very hard since I just guessed you were a loved one to the person who died and since spider-man and Peter Parker have the same build and height I followed you for a bit. Saw you change on a roof and finally stopped feeling like a wanting to break your face with a sledgehammer."

"So why didn't you say anything?"

"For multiple reasons, one being I wasn't ready to make up with you."

"Huh?"

"For personal reasons, I didn't want to know you. I was happy before because we were a mystery to each other."

"I'm not following."

"That's fine, we'll discuss that later. I want to talk about the fact we are in another world." Since it looked like she was done on this topic I switched over to what she wanted to talk about.

"I got here because of the two shiny rocks that I caught when the avengers were fighting the purple hulk. What I'm curious about is how you got here. Much less through a villain's portal."

"Well after you vanished in front of the whole town, I did some searching. Came up empty handed but noticed that the avengers were sticking around a lot lately. So, I spied on them, turns out they were looking for a way to get you back or more specifically the stones that went with you. They ended up going to a magician for help. When he was explaining how he was going to find you it had a lot of magic mumbo jumbo that I didn't understand but what I did get was you were no longer in our universe. In the time he spent searching for you I was learning how to break into his house since it had some weird defenses set up that my normal tricks wouldn't work. By a stroke of luck, the day they found you was the day I finally got in. He had a bunch of weird stuff. Either way because of that guy's portal quirk it acted as a door with a beacon for the magician and was able to get us to you but only when he had it open. Although he did say the only reason, he noticed it was because you were near the portal so until your next to an open portal, they probably won't be able to get here."

"Okay that explains how you got here but how come it's just you and not the whole avenger's team and the magician?"

"Oh, so remember how I sneaked in? Well, they were so surprised by my sudden appearance they didn't get a chance to jump in the portal before it closed again. Also in case you're wondering why I came out sick it's because that portal wasn't like a simple door and more like the worlds harshest roller coaster that had no safety measures." Her words alone made me want to get sick, the thought of going through that myself made me glad how boring my accidental trip here was.

After that we ended up talking for almost an hour as I explained this world and its history as best I could. Thankfully, she could already speak their language here since she had contacts that made her have to learn it. When I asked about how she because a teacher's assistant without any powers she just told them that her quirk is making the area around her turn bad luck. I wonder if she made that quirk up because of her name or if she said she made her name because of her quirk. It was tricky talking about some major events since while Quirks aren't entirely new here now history shows that the governments took advantage of supers as a show of strength to other countries. In fact, the main reason countries support Heroes so much is because not only does it make them look good for the support but it's a great deterrent for any worldwide problems. Of course, this doesn't mean everything is perfect. Because being a hero is a legal job people are being saved less for kindness and more so that the rescuer looks good and gets a bigger paycheck. Apparently, America has the most powerful hero in the world right now, someone who when she had a mock battle with ALL MIGHT a couple of years ago, she crushed him. North Korea is still in horrible condition because even after quirks were found they were so brainwashed they still feared their countries leader. Making the last official war this world had was South Korea, America and Japan vs North and it ended in a stalemate because not long after North Korea started to lose, they resorted to child soldiers, with or without quirks. Other than them everywhere else is what could be considered at peace. Of course, each country will have internal problems but that's for a different discussion.

After scheduling to hang out when we had free time, I turned off my watch and we went our separate ways. It turns out the entire time I was talking to Cat, Momo was waiting for me while reading a book. The ride home was silent since I spent it going over what I learned and considering checking on the stones while Momo was obvious still mad about me brushing her off earlier. I apologized and this time it seemed to work as she said she forgive me and decided to find something new to focus training on. We bounced ideas around even after we got home and well into dinner. That night we headed to sleep feeling good.

The next day things really started to fell back to normal around here. Cat wasn't with Mr. Aizawa today since she was helping another teacher. I got to put some work in fixing my main suit while figuring out how to upgrade it and I was able to socialize with my hero course classmates again. Things only got strange at the end of the day when the door was blocked by a large mass of students from other classes, some I even recognize from the support course.

It was making my classmates nervous being blocked from leaving. Iida tried to calmly ask what they wanted with us while Mineta screamed they can't keep us hostage. Which is weird since technically our class would be considered the jocks of the school. What scared me was when Baku stepped in front of all of us and opened his mouth. I prepared myself to get hated more than we already were.

His first words were directed at us, "Don't you get it? They are checking out the competition. Well take a good look at your future heroes. Now get out of my way extras, I have more important things to do than be stared at. I couldn't tell if he added the "Extras" at the end of the sentence because he has no filter or if he just likes tormenting people, but either way it was obvious he made us the top of everyone's hate list.

Iida tried to get Baku to apologize while Izuku and Ochako shook in fear in the background but was ignored.

From the sea of students appeared one with unkempt purple hair that I didn't recognize who he was, but he spoke with a bored tone "These are the guys who took on a bunch of villains? Looks like a bunch of asses who got lucky to me. Are all of you like the loud mouth and think your all that?". This obviously effected Baku as he started to get mad.

While most of my classmates held Baku back from trying to something the new face went on to talk about how he failed to get into the hero course but was forced into a different course. What he said next caught my attention more than before "Well just have to see who survives the festival. Huh, you have no idea what I'm talking about? Well if a general studies student does good enough we can replace one of you hero course students. So remember this:I won't hold back because my future is on the line." after that strong delivery he walked away.

I know I saw him somewhere before but couldn't put my finger on it. I took in the bags under his eyes, the tired tone of voice and his unkempt hair and all of a sudden it hit me, if he had a black shirt then holy shit, he'd be like a mini Aizawa! I wonder if they know each other.

Taking me away from imagining Mr. Aizawa and a purple haired woman having a child, another student with white spiky hair and eyes that look like he was wearing a mask appeared. He started screaming how he was from the other hero class 1B and wanted to come sees if it was true that we fought villains but has already decided that we were a bunch of brats that think we're better than the rest of them.

I'm sure the rest of the class would agree with me when I say that the rest of the school now hates our class. While the student, who still hasn't introduced himself, continued to rant Baku decided he has had enough and just walked away from the whole situation, completely ignoring everyone. Kirishima spoke up, telling Baku to apologize since he's the reason most of these people are going to end up hating us. Only pausing to respond Baku said that the only thing important is that we beat them. After that he walked away without another word. While some of my classmates argued about what Baku said I grabbed my stuff and walked over to Momo, ready to head home.

The only way to describe the next two weeks was with one word: Montage.

Classes were cut short so we could have extra time to use the training facility and practice our quirks. Since none of our quirks are similar, we each had different styles of training. I think Kirishima was jumping off tall buildings, Ochako building a tolerance for her quirk, Mina and Yuuga took advantage of this and used her falling debris as moving targets, I heard Tokoyami got special permission for the use of the stadium at night. I didn't really get a good look at the rest. Although I think I saw Mineta doing a few bad fighting moves you would see in movies.

As for me and Momo, I didn't go very intense in my training just lifting some weights (the heaviest in class) since I knew I had already pushed myself as far as I could naturally without getting older or altering something about myself and I wasn't about to do some weird DNA testing. I was bummed out when my request to use my web-shooters was declined though. Momo on the other hand was training with Black Cat by fighting her, trying to quicken her creation speed to be of more help during a fight. Sometimes at night I would hear her leave her room and head to the library, no doubt looking researching more things she could use and how to make it. In that time, I noticed that I was getting a lot more looks than before from the other students and even Power Loader warned me to be careful but thankfully, we had full privacy during our training time.

I even tried to get some secret training in with Izuku after hours with all might supervising. Since we couldn't take the chance of Izuku using his quirk to hit something we decided to try and see if he could catch something. He can't. I threw a punch into his hand, quirk ready but just ended up breaking his wrist since his quirk caused the force of me hitting his hand practically bent it backwards. I'm just glad we caught the school nurse before she went home for the day. Then we moved on to only other idea I had, holding something. I easily held a 500 LB weight and carefully put it in Izuku's hand. We ended up giving Recovery Girl another visit when Izuku couldn't hold the weight with his quirk and had to release it by throwing it into the air. It was tricky but I was able to catch it or else it would have landed on Mr. Aizawa's car. We decided to call it quits and to just have Izuku do normal body building exercises.

Two weeks later was the day of the festival, one of the few times the public was allowed on school grounds. Instantly the first thing we see is the large amount of food stalls and all the people walking around taking in the image of the highest rank hero school. They even had hero merchandise stalls. Sadly, we couldn't enjoy any of it right now since we needed to go to the waiting room, so me and Momo headed straight there.

Before entering the waiting room, we went to our gender changing room and to put on our gym cloths. Entering the waiting room after changing I could hear Mina complaining about wanting to wear her costume. Ojiro argued that this would make things fair against those without costumes while I just complemented her by telling her that she's pretty cool without it. It seemed to work since she gave a smile at me, thanking me for the complement. I thought me and Momo were the last to arrive, but I didn't see Iida in the room as I watched my classmates wait for the festival to start. Some were being calm and sitting down at the table while others looked tense. A small portion were shaking so bad that I was outside looking in from a window I would think that they were in a freezer.

Not helping the situation Iida came rushing in letting us know to get our game faces on, it was almost starting. Out of nowhere Todoroki walked up to Izuku in front of everyone and called him out. "Midoriya, I don't know your relationship with ALL MIGHT is but know that it doesn't matter. I intend to win." because of how serious Todoroki was being and just everyone already being nervous things became very tense.

Kirishima tried to calm the situation by grabbing Todoroki's shoulder and asking him why the declaration of war. Todoroki shrugged his hand off stating that we aren't here to be friends but to become the best as he walked over to his previous seat. Izuku stopped him by giving some speech that although Todoroki was superior in strength he would be doing everything he could to get better than him and that we all needed to do what we can to stand out. While it was a nice speech Izuku all of a sudden turned his attention torwards me.

Having had enough of the tense atmosphere I walked up and grabbed Izuku's shoulder and told him that was enough. I straight up told them I'm not here to compete with anyone and yet I hold first place. Todoroki turned torwards me and asked "If you don't care about your rank, then what is important to you?"

Not sure what the appropriate response should be to that kind of question in a school where that is the goal I answered with the truth. "I just want to get my license and help people. I think if your only goal is a score then that's just sad."

Looking at the clock I realized we had less than a minute and said one last thing. "Truthfully, I don't think you or Izuku have what it takes to be great heroes. Todoroki your good at what you do, even the best compared to the rest but against me? You're out of your league. And Izuku, your so worried about proving yourself that you focus more on others than on yourselves."

Everyone in the room gasped at me, even Baku had a look at surprise as not only did I insult two people but one of which I got along with pretty well. Before any arguments could be started our class was called to enter the stadium. Knowing I was getting some weary looks from my classmates I just walked forward to the stadium, a light at the end of the tunnel. Before we got to the exit I stopped in front of it, causing someone to bump into me. Turns out it was Iida because he asked me if everything was alright. I answered yes but let them know I have stage fright. Thankfully, Mina encouraged me and thanking her I asked my friends for a favor. When they asked me about the favor I said, "Talk me out of it." in a weak voice. After Present Mike introduced our class, I could feel Kirishima and Shouji grab each of my arms and drag me the rest of the way. Obviously, I could have broken free, but I let them drag me, happy I finally got to use that line in real life. Kinda sad these guys didn't get the reference or the joke.

Finally, out in the stadium I wasn't the only one freaking out about the large amount of people watching us, enough to have the stadium filled to the brim. Turns out we are the first ones out. Behind us introduced with a little less flair was class 1B. after that was general studies classes C-E with the most basic of introductions. After them was the support class F-H and business classes I-K. at the front of the general studies class was the purple haired guy that warned us about possibly losing our spot. I could faintly hear the other classes complaining about being compared to my class.

After all the students gathered in the middle of the stadium standing in front of us on a podium was one of the faculty members I remember seeing when the heroes arrived at the villain attack. While she had a suit that puts mine to shame in 'showing off' standing next to her was Black Cat, standing loud in proud in her usual outfit. While some of the students complained about the not school appropriate suits, Mineta gave one of the happiest thumbs ups I have ever seen.

The teacher Midnight silenced everyone, swinging around in her hand is what I think is her weapon? Not sure what it is but it reminds me of that thing people use to clean. She then ordered me onto the stage, saying I was supposed to say some kind of pledge. I was so scared I was literally shaking, I so did something stupid and grabbed Iida's arm and lifted it up in the air while trying to make it look like he was saying "I'm Peter Parker!"

It was obvious nobody was falling for it and Iida gave me a push forward. When I reached the microphone, I turned to Midnight and asked what I was supposed to say. All she did was a wave motion towards the microphone. Looking at Cat she did the same but with a big smile. Looking towards my classmates I got a few thumbs up, even from Izuku who I thought hated me because of earlier but it really warmed my heart to see he forgave me. I wasn't even going to look at Mei, knowing she would want me to advertise her 'babies' for her.

Taking a deep breath, I spoke into the microphone. "Uh, hello? As you just heard my name is Peter Parker and I doubt many if not any of you know me. Well, I just have to say thank you for UA for so many things. First for existing and having such great staff that cares for its students. I know things have been shaky recently because of what happened, but I knew the entire time that help would arrive, and it did. And now I have the chance to fulfill my dream of becoming a hero and paying back the staff here by making my mark in the world, even if it's only saving a single life. So, if you heard some rumor of us, please just come talk to us, were just trying to do our best like the rest."

Having finished I got of the podium as quickly as possible and joined the rest of my class as applause was heard all around the stadium. I even got a few complements and pats on the back. Giving the people a chance to calm down as a screen appeared behind Midnight with the image of a casino lottery machine. We waited for the image to stop so we could see what our first challenge was. After a few moments it stopped on the event obstacle race.

Midnight gave a brief explanation on the purpose of the game and how to pass into the next round. Black Cat then explained the rules of no maiming other players, but quirks are allowed (obviously) to help pass us through to the next round. Turning around I quickly realized there was a giant door that I didn't see before.

Getting into position we all waited until Present Mic finished his countdown. It was obvious to tell looking around who was taking this event serious. In the front was the hero course while behind us was the general studies looking nervous but serious. With them was Mei and all her tech. Behind them was the support course, no doubt nervous about going against us but still needing to show their tech. At the end of the giant group of first years was the business class, not even getting into position.

When the alarm sounded everyone, but the business class rushed through the gate, where things quickly started to get cramped because of the large hallway limiting the amount of space available. Not wanting to get lost in the sea of people I quickly jumped to the side of the wall and continued to run sideways, quickly talking first place since everyone else was being slowed down with all the people in the way. While running I could hear my teachers commenting, with present Mic being the main talker and forcing Mr. Aizawa to add his own comment. "Would you look at that folk the top 1st year Peter Parker is currently ahead thanks to his ability to run on walls! Thanks to being unburdened by others he runs ahead while the others fall behind. Mr. Aizawa what do you have to say about this?"

"It's more than just his quirk being a good match for the situation, he knew when to use it effectively. As soon as he saw that hallway he instantly jumped out of the crowd while another classmate of his can do the same but is now stuck for taking too long."

Being the first one out I did a quick check to see how far ahead I was and saw that everyone was having a difficult time passing through. Even the people at the front are being given a hard time since those behind them are grabbing them and trying to use them to pull themselves forward. From somewhere in the crowd Todoroki was able to pass through by freezing the floor and getting those in front frozen to the floor by their feet. I was able to dodge it thanks to my spider-senses warning and seeing the ice spread ahead of the rest.

None of the students in 1A was caught since we were prepared for something like this to happen. Some were able to use their quirks to surf on the ice or jump over it while others had a hard time walking on it. Baku was literally flying using his explosions to propel himself into the air. The one who surprised me the most was Mineta, not for using his quirk to bounce off his head balls, but rather for the flips he was doing in the air. Didn't think he was able to.

As for me thankfully I was able to balance myself on the ice after dodging the initial freeze attack. It took some getting used to, but I was able to run using my sticking ability to not slide on the ice.

Mineta was starting to catch up and when he reached Todoroki, he went in for a jump attack. This was thwarted by a surprise attack from a mechanical limb. Turns out I was so focused on those behind me I mistook my Spidey-sense going off as warning me of my classmates instead of the robots we originally fought in the entrance exam. Directly in front of us was the smaller two- and three-point robots while behind them are three of the giants zero-point robots. I couldn't stop myself from asking out loud "Is this seriously where all the schools money goes!? Also, what did they have a few extras and just said 'Let's recycle them by using them in the festival.'"?

Obviously, no one answered me as Mic explained this part of the race. Oh, wait I counted wrong, turns out this school is funded by Richie Rich because a whole lot more of them zero pointers just rolled right in. This got the obvious response by most of the students, most of which have already caught up with me and Todoroki as we stopped to watch the arrival of our robotic enemies.

While Todoroki was having a little talk with himself preparing his quirk, one of the zero pointers started to reach towards him no doubt trying to squish him. Surprising me with his biggest display of power so far with Todoroki completely freezing the robot in place and running between its legs. While the other students cheered at the opportunity, I noticed that the frozen robot started to lean forward.

Knowing I could take it down I jumped into the air as it started to fall onto the other students. Before I kicked it Todoroki warned us that he left it falling forward on purpose. "Not cool Todo!" while shouting Todoroki's new name at him I kicked the robot to the side, letting it fall harmlessly away from the others.

While Mic and Aizawa commented on Todoroki pulling an amazing move and me saving my classmates I wasted no time playing catch up, using the other robots as trampolines while doing some damage to soften them up for the others. It seemed Aizawa caught on since he commented on me helping even while ahead.

Quickly getting passed the robots I arrived at the next challenge right behind Todo, which appears to cross pillars using only thin rope. Todo was crossing said rope by using his ice to slide across. Feeling a little devious I super jumped on the same rope as Todo and caught myself on it. My sudden weight caused the rope to shake, making Todo to lose balance and almost fall off. He was able to catch himself by his hand as he glared at me and looked back as we heard our classmates start to arrive at the rope challenge.

Not wanting to hang around (Hah I make myself laugh) I used the ropes to slingshot myself forward just going through the field like a home run hit. Being the first through I looked back and saw Todo getting back up and was still ahead of the rest while my classmates took the lead. It was funny to watch Iida slide on the rope while in a strange pose to keep his balance. Not wanting to get passed again I headed to the next part of the race but just saw an empty field with the finish line across from it.

Before I took the first step my spider-sense warned me of danger causing me to jump back and prepare for an attack. When nothing happened and the only thing, I could hear was the crowd and my classmates behind me I listened to Present Mic explain that I was at a mine field. Not believing that the school that has giant killer robots would use mines, so I grabbed a rock and threw it into the field. Low and behold as soon as it touched the ground there was a huge explosion with a pink cloud was made.

"Parker!" taking another look behind me because of being called by a voice I recognized, I saw Baku flying at me using his quirk to push him. "You think I'm just gonna be ignored and take it lying down?! I'm gonna crush you!"

Taking that as my signal to run I closed my eyes and ignored everything but my spider-sense with every step I take. Because I never told anyone about my spider-sense specifically it was no surprise that people were surprised by how well I was doing in the maze of bombs just speeding through with my eyes closed. A sudden warning caused me to jump to the side just in time to dodge an attack from Todo who was catching up since he froze the field in front of him and was sliding his way towards me.

Seeing that Baku was closer I had an idea that would cement my victory and that would also annoy those two. Slowing down just a bit I waited for Baku to get close as possible to me before I jumped over him and onto him, almost making him crash into the ground if not for his great reflexes. Not giving him a chance to think I used him as a springboard knocking him into Todo causing the both of them to crash into one of the mines. With an awesome movie explosion behind me I was able to finish in first place. Despite what you see on TV I did not do a fake football touchdown and started to dance. Not at all… okay maybe a little.

After I crossed Present Mic asked Aizawa what he was teaching us, but Aizawa denied having any part of how well were doing, stating this is the result of our hard work. Taking it the wrong way Present Mic made fun of Mr. Aizawa by calling him a bad teacher, I did laugh at that.

What really killed the mood was Izuku not so nicely setting off my spider-sense and crashing into me since I was too busy wondering how he was flying to move out of the way. Present Mic was also busy laughing at the bad dancing I definitely did not do, to announce Izuku's crossing the line. Looking at the stage even Midnight and Black Cat were holding their hands to their mouths trying to hold in their laughs. Cat insulted me by doing a bad imitation of what I would have looked like if I did do said dance.

Thankfully, they seemed to calm down before the rest of the students arrived at the finish line. I was surprised when Momo arrived at around 20th place. When I asked her, what happened and why she was breathing so hard she just pointed to her back. Turns out Mineta the perverted genius latched onto her after getting hit by the robot, thus making things a lot harder for Momo. The entire time I talked with Momo I used all my willpower to meet her eyes and not look down at her open sweater that was obviously caused from her using her quirk. Finding out that she summoned a cannon to destroy the zero pointer robots helped distract me because it was just that awesome.

After waiting for the rest of the 1st year to finish the race I mostly talked with Momo and helped her change by giving her my sweater to replace hers since hers now had Mineta's balls stuck until the foreseeable future. She was originally going to make herself a new one but after I told her that I was going to offer mine she turned red and said she needed a moment to rest and took me up on my offer. Even though I wasn't that much taller than Momo I didn't realize how much bigger I was until she tried on my gym sweater and saw some parts were too large. It was honestly too cute for me to look at very long. I'm just glad I had a shirt underneath.

A few minutes after the last person passed the line students who placed in the top 42 spots were told to gather in the middle of the field while the rest were told to head towards the zone reserved for students to watch. Giving a chance for the students who didn't make the cut to find seats we soon watched as the holo screen rolled like before. It stopped when Black Cat pushed a button on a remote, landing on what I'm pretty sure is the Calvary battle thanks to the images hint.

Midnight quickly explained the rules to us and even added some of her comments that are for sure not for viewers under 18. While I never did anything like this before I have seen games similar, so I wasn't very worried. I instantly hated myself for thinking that when Black Cat explained how we were getting our points.

"Your placement in the last race decides more than if you advance, no it also determines how many points you are worth at the of the next battle! Since each team will have three to four players the number of points will be determined by adding all your teams points up and having a headband that only the rider can wear showing that teams score. Last place at forty-two will have five points and moving forward everyone will get another five points or another way to look at it is second place will have two hundred and five points, third place with two hundred and so on. So, mister first place, what score will you have?"

I don't know why but the tone of her voice was kind of scaring me, so with a nervous voice I answered in a questioning tone "Um two hundred and ten rights?"

As if they practiced both females responded at the same time "Nope, your math is off by a good chunk! Your worth Ten million points!"

In an instant the area around me was cold. While my spider-sense wasn't going off I felt like I was in danger as I looked around and saw the cold calculated looks, I was getting from everyone, even my classmates. As if things weren't bad enough Midnight had to tell us that only the 4 teams with the top scores would advance, meaning at max only 12 students could pass. Now knowing that a small number of people could pass I started to feel the bloodlust attached to the cold stares. This is exactly why I hate sports.

So now here we are, with 10 minutes to form teams and plan. I was rushing around like a chicken with no head looking for anyone willing to put the world's biggest target on their back. Most of my recruitment pitches went like this…

"Hey Momo!"

"Sorry Peter, I already joined a team."

"Izuku my man!"

"I'm sorry Parker! I just don't think that would be a good idea!"

"Mine-"

"Stay away from me Parker! Enough people are going to be trying to kill me!"

"Hey Jiro! What do you say to being my partner?"

"Sorry man, I think I'm going to have to pass."

I was even desperate enough to go to Baku for help. "Hey Baku, can I join your team?"

"What the hell did you call me?! Get out of here before I kill you, how dare you call me something stupid!" I was expecting it, but it still hurt.

Now I have to look elsewhere since everyone else in my class was already taken. Mei who was my back-up before Baku had already formed a team with Izuku and his group before I could get to her.

Realizing I only had minutes I was using it to try and convince Tsu, Mineta and the leader of their group Shouji to let me fill in the last spot. While I was hitting a brick wall (or something stronger since I'm pretty sure I can handle a brick wall) a miracle came in the form of Baku.

I thought he was only coming over to make fun of the fact that I have no team but was only half right. After gloating for a few seconds about having people literally line up to have him join their team he offered me a spot on his already filled team. Answering him with a dumb "Wha?" he explained that while he hated me, he hated Deku (who I had to remind myself was Izuku) and half hair (Todoroki) much more. Plus, he liked the thought of starting from the top and showing off the biggest number.

When I commented on the fact that his team was already full, he just said "Then I'll kick one to the curb." without a care.

The rest of his group behind him just stared at him in shock, mouths agape. Thankfully Shouji the angel he was, offered to take the extra so long as it wasn't me. Agreeing Baku turned back to his team and asked them again what their quirks were.

With only a minute left he kicked elbow tape out (Sero) out of the group and so Sero was happily welcomed to Shouji's group. With the clock ticking Baku freaked out when he realized I had to be the one mounting everyone since apparently the rules stated that highest number holder goes up top. After getting that out of the way we quickly decided that Kirishima and Baku would be the front while Mina would be the rear. Thankfully, we got ready just in time and were ready when the bell rung to get into position.

Present Mic then started to count down from ten, making sure to make it dramatic by counting slowly. As soon as he shouted GO almost every team turned their sights on us, charging at us like they had fire under their Baku was the perfect deterrent for any close-range frontal assault since he would blast anyone that neared him.

We had a good thing going for us for a while until an actual threat showed up. It came from behind in the form of a class B team trying to catch me of guard and steal my headband but thanks to my spider-sense I was able to dodge the hand. Seeing he missed the rider of the enemy team smacked the back of Baku's head making him a target for his rage.

When Baku tried to use his quirk on the new guy his attack was swiped to the side causing him to miss. Before Baku could recover our new opponent put his hand in front of Baku's face and gave of an explosion like Baku's but a bit smaller. Then as if to annoy us more he slapped Kirishima in the face before Baku replied with another attack that made contact. But as soon as the smoke cleared, we saw our opponent was unaffected because suddenly, his arm turned into a rock like material like Kirishima. I instantly realized his quirk and ordered a retreat, arguing against Baku since he wanted to fight but I explained how this person could copy quirks at a touch.

This got the enemies attention on me as the leader started to talk to me. "You must be the legendary top place student Parker! I commend you for figuring out my quirk so quickly."

"Uh sorry, have we met before?"

"I'm not surprised you don't remember me, why would someone from the great class A even care for the name of a lesser person?"

"Hey your literally putting words in my mouth. Besides I bet you didn't even know my name until today!"

"well at least unlike you class A show offs we aren't dumb enough to go all out in the first round."

Asking what he meant we played a game of attack and dodge a he explained "well since we knew there was enough room for everyone in class b to pass we simply made sure that all of us made it through while watching as you class A idiots took the challenge way to serious and showed off all your moves."

Not liking how he was insulting my friends I countered by stating that makes his class filled with nothing but losers who succeed off the hard work of others. Not liking my response class B's leader signaled other teams to show up.

Before I knew it, we were surrounded by 3 teams mostly filled with B class students. I was a little worried for a moment but a saving grace in the form of Todo arrived and formed an ice wall completely blocking us off from the enemy teams. Of course, I knew already he didn't do it to save me but so he could have a direct shot at me. Then as if I didn't have enough problems being the number 1 target Izuku showed up behind me literally falling out of the sky. As soon as I saw Mei and the tech, we made together I instantly put together what happened since they also had Ochaco with them. So, they used the tech for flying but since it can't handle all the weight, they used Ochako to make flight possible. As for Tokoyami he's obviously the perfect attack and defense because of his shadow.

Trying to pass more time I tried to pit Izuku's and Todo's teams against each other by stating it would only be fair that I face the better team. Sadly, it did not go according to plan, since both teams have range attacks that are great for either getting my headband or literally freezing me in place. So, what do you do when both of these things happen at the same time? Abandon ship, I felt bad letting my team get frozen like that but I'm sure they will thank me when we win this round. Truthfully, I was nervous about jumping and catching myself on Todo's ice wall but thankfully the judges declared it was safe so long as I didn't touch the floor.

Of course, I was now a sitting duck on the wall stuck between two teams having it out for me. The fact that each of them has I girl I consider a good friend kind of sucks… "Mei did you break the rocket boots?!" as soon as I noticed the damaged boots, I couldn't stop myself from screaming at her.

I think I finally understood why she calls her tech her babies, since I spent hours working on it with her. I spent nights going over what I could remember from Tony Stark's tech. I have truly learned to consider it my 'Baby'. and she murders it within the first day of using it. We argued as I dodged attacks from both teams relying on my spider-sense to do most of the work so I could continue to scream as we continued to argue. While it's true this arguing is probably a bad idea since I wasn't fully focused on both teams it was also a blessing in disguise since it kept me distracted from the fact that I could see Momo in her sports bra since her shirt opened for her to use her quirk.

In the middle of my dodging someone from the outside of the ice barrier was able to break it down, also freeing my teammates giving me a chance to regroup. Seeing that too many opponents were showing up Todo gave Kaminari an order to use his quirk. Realizing that Kaminari was going to use a wide shot I warned my team, but we were just too close to escape the blast radius.

Obviously Izuku realized what was happening and forced the tech to get his team out of the blast radius. Telling my team my idea to survive the blast I was given their blessing and acted my plan out. Well, it's less of a plan and more of just jumping towards Izuku's team and dodging dark shadow so I could hang on to them. While I made my goal and was able to latch on to Mei, it wasn't in a very appropriate position. I literally had my head between her chest and I'm sure the only reason I didn't lose my headband was because everyone was frozen in shock at the situation.

Wanting to get away from the situation I jumped away and back unto the new ice wall Todo made. I took a second to look at everyone's expressions and most weir just pure shock of what I did. The only ones with different expressions are Momo and Mina who had purple aura surrounding them as they stared at my soul. Of course, Mei did a cry out of embarrassment and screamed she could never get married. Don't know why she said that, as far as I could tell she never cared about relationships before. Hell, sometimes I wonder if she knows how people works or if she ignored that lesson so she could watch robots. Either way as soon as she screamed the purple auras around Momo and Mina intensified to the point where their hair was moving, and they looked ready to go super Saiyan.

In a fit of rage so bad that even Todo was frozen in shock Momo used her quirk to make a grapple gun and in the coldest voice I have ever heard from her told me not to dodge. I looked at my team for support but instead saw Mina who was scaring everyone with her scarily calm expression simply gave me a thumbs down, obviously telling me to take the hit.

Too scared to find out what would happen if I disobeyed, I let myself get caught by the hook but instead of trying to pull me in Momo handed the rope to Kaminari and ordered him to go full blast. Obviously as scared or more than me he followed her order and gave me his most powerful blast.

And let me tell you it hurt, of course the only reason I was able to handle it was because I took hits from electro before but that doesn't mean Kaminari doesn't pack a punch. It was enough that the ice I was on broke, and I was forced to jump using the bigger pieces to get back to my team.

Just when I thought the worst was over Momo gave Todo the order to freeze me solid. When he argued then he wouldn't be able to get headband in a shaky voice Momo turned her stare up to eleven at him, causing him to shake and sweat. Wanting to take advantage of both team's distractions (Izuku's team was trying to calm down Mei) I tried to tell them to run away but Mina put a tight grip on Baku and Kirishima telling them we weren't going anywhere. Even Baku wasn't immune since when he tried to tell her that he doesn't take orders even he caved into the look in her eyes.

In a moment of grace before we got frozen solid the alarm rang sounding the end of the round. I was so relieved that I let myself fall onto the ground, not caring it was a rough landing. I got up after a minute so I could see who else passed this round. As expected, my team was first place thanks to my points, in second was Todo thanks to his team stealing a few headbands. In third was some guy named Shinso, who was the purple haired kid from before, he was teamed with Ojiro and Aoyama. There was also another student from another class, but I didn't know him. And in fourth place and taking the last spot was Izuku's team since their beginning number was big enough for them to pass.

Thankfully, we were given a small break after this round since they are going to set up a bunch of games as a break for those of us passing into the last round, a one v one fight before that we are going to draw lots to decide who we are going to fight. Also, we can decide whether we want to join in the games or wait until it was time to fight.

Turning to the exit so I could walk around a bit and relax I tried to catch up to the group of girls that made up of Momo, Mei and Mina who are walking ahead of me. When I called out to them, they ignored me with a deadly silence. Kirishima stopped me from trying to follow them, warning me that I was in the doghouse.

Before I could head off to get something to eat for my break Todo called out to me, asking to talk in private for a bit. This being the first time he has tried to talk with anyone personally I accepted the invite. So, we headed to a hallway that out of the way of any of the mainly used ones since we couldn't use any of the waiting rooms yet.

It was here that Todo asked me what I meant in the locker room about him never being able to beat me. He asked me to explain specifically if I meant in terms of combat ability or by hero ranking. "I can tell being a hero is something your taking serious but I also know somethings holding you back. Both your abilities and social standing."

When he asked what made me think that I answered "The problem is it sounds like you treat saving people like a score from a game. Whenever I hear you talk about being the number one hero I wonder if you even care about the people that would look up to you."

He whispered that I was wrong and if it wasn't for my hearing then I wouldn't have heard him, but I did so I asked him to clarify how I was wrong about him. "don't insult me. I am taking this serious, more than almost everyone else I know. I have a reason to get the top spot and not just for pride or some dumb trophy, no I want to prove something to someone very important."

I was feeling curious about his response but knew that sometimes you shouldn't push for info unless it was being given. Thankfully, I didn't need to ask as I guess he felt like he needed to defended himself and his cause.

"Tell me Parker, do you know what quirk marriages are?"

"It's when someone looks for a marriage partner that has a quirk that can result in a child with a powerful mix of their parents quirks right?"

"That's right, so a little over twenty years ago my father Endeaver convinced my mom's side of the family to accept a quirk marriage thanks to her quirk." that's strange, from what I remember Endeaver didn't seem like the type to care about bloodlines.

"To tell the truth he doesn't care much about the family name as much as he cares about beating ALL MIGHT. You see my father has been the number two hero for a long time and has yet to be able to beat ALL MIGHT in any category. More arrests, cases solved, it's no contest on who's the fan favorite. So realizing that he couldn't beat ALL MIGHT my dad decided the next best thing was to have a powerful child with none of his weaknesses and have his legacy become the number one hero."

After that he explained that he has two elder siblings but was never allowed to play or spend time with them because his father said, "They are part of a different world." While the only person he had for support was his mother. Although it wasn't long before he realized how such a life was weighing on her.

"One day I saw my mom, my rock and my support crying int the kitchen crying to someone into the phone. She screamed how my eyes reminded her to much of my father. When she saw me she then caused this scar by throwing boiling water onto me." I wanted to say something but what do you say to someone who reminded their mother so much of their father that they attacked them with boiling water?

He continued, explaining that after the incident his father had his mother taken away to a mental hospital and he hasn't seen her since. Originally it was because he wasn't allowed but after he got older, he just couldn't bring himself to face her, not because he was mad at her but because he didn't want to see her hate him again. That led to him telling me that the reason that he challenged Izuku was because he needs to prove he doesn't need his father's power and would take the top spot with just his ice powers even if he was facing against the student of the number one hero.

After that it seemed like he was done talking, staying quiet as if silently asking me what I think. "… I think what happened to you wasn't fair but I also think you are holding yourself back from becoming the hero you want to be. With you holding yourself back from using your flames all your doing is putting those under your protection in danger."

Todoroki obviously took that with some shock, too surprised to ask anything so I explained. "I get hating your quirk since for a while I hated mine too but I quickly learned that having it and not using it leads to people getting hurt, I was unlucky I had to learn it with a loved one."

He tried to argue that was why he works so hard on his ice, but I countered argued that it was of no help against Nobu on the field trip while fire would have been of great help. If I had known at the time, he could use fire I would have ordered him to use it. I told him straight up he is choosing pride over lives.

He tried to make one last argument about it not being his power but his father's, so I reminded him that he also has his mothers. I told him that it was no longer either of his parent's quirks because while it started with them, they made something new and different. Sure, his mother had a moment of only seeing his dad but it's obvious that who she saw before that was the child she loved, and he needs to take her love and use it to push himself to becoming the hero he wants her to see.

I finished by telling him to forget about his father but do not use the love of someone as an excuse to fail, but as a reason not to hold back.

It seems like my words finally got to him as he then asked me why I act like this, why I don't care about the system at all. While I'm always wary to tell others about my real life I couldn't stop myself from telling him about Uncle Ben, how while he had no part of his mother leaving, I was the reason Ben died.

He just stared at my eyes for a minute before walking away, commenting that he would think about what I said. I waited a few minutes to leave so we could have some distance and went to have something to eat at the cafeteria. Sure, I was given some extra cash for the food stalls but first I wanted to eat as much as I can since I missed breakfast.

When I arrived at the cafeteria, I realized just how long I took to talk with Todo since I was down too little over ten minutes to eat. After getting my food I arrived at an empty table as I watched Mineta and Kaminari ending a talk with Momo as she and the girls walked away from their table and headed to what I'm sure are the locker rooms. Thankfully, I was able to finish eating quickly and made it to the field before time was up.

Although on my way Mr. Aizawa pulled me to the side wanting to talk to me. Turns out he wanted to ask me to be rough on my classmates if I end up fighting them. When I asked why he explained that it was obvious most of the class was getting cocky after the attack when it's obvious that only a handful could handle a serious situation. When asked why me he explained that I was the only one who could show the difference of level between a high-level threat and a common thug.

Feeling bad about it I accepted because I knew it was dangerous to go into a dangerous situation cocky. As if to console me Mr. Aizawa out his hand on my shoulder then walked out, saying sometimes people needed a reality check. Afterword he slowly walked towards the commentary box still looking like a zombie and scaring some kids who were looking around.

When I finally arrived at the stadium for my year, I quickly noticed the line of cheerleaders mostly thanks to Present Mics commenting on them. While I am usually like any other guy and liked watching cheerleaders do their routines, I was too busy being horrified because I thought I was looking at a line of female Aoyama's. I mean all of them had the same eyes and similar smiles, they even had sparkles around their faces, and I know it's not just glitter falling off their face.

Then something even more amazing caught my eye. From behind me all the girls in my class walked out and formed a line. Now normally this wouldn't be anything special but for some reason they all decided to wear the cheer leading outfits of the real cheerleaders. Even the teachers looked and sounded surprised at the girls dressing up for the fan service.

I have to say though it does feel a bit of a downer since all the girls have frowns on their faces. When I went to them and asked about the whole situation instead of answering me Momo fell to the floor in despair over being tricked. Before I could even guess who tricked them Jirou screamed at Mineta for tricking them into wearing something so embarrassing. Adding on to it Momo commented on making the cheer outfits with her quirk.

Taking a second to wonder how Mineta was able to trick the girls into wearing these outfits I tried to make them feel better by complementing them but instead caused them to turn their anger towards me. While Tsu and Mina didn't really seem to care about the outfits but Tooru obviously really like dressing up and even did a few cheers moves. The rest of the girls though ganged on me and demanded that I wear an outfit they would make during the fighting tournament as punishment for showing support to Mineta. Too scared to refuse I accepted the forceful offer. This instantly cheered them up as they huddled into a circle to come up with an idea of what to make me wear.

After that scary encounter it was time to find out who we were fighting by drawing lots from a box. Since I didn't know much about the final fight I listened as Kirishima explained to Mina that the finals are always one v one but sometimes they change up the rules. Apparently last year they had to use swords in their fights. We waited to draw our spots as Midnight explained that after drawing there would be a break to enjoy the recreational games. Those of us fighting are given the option to play or wait until the tournament so we can save our energy and strength. The drawing was about to start but Midnight and Black Cat were interrupted by Ojiro raising his hand and dropping himself out.

This came as an obvious shock to everyone as Iida asked him why he will do such a thing if he wants to be seriously scouted. Ojiro explained that he doesn't even remember passing the cavalry battle until the end of it. He looked at the purple haired student who showed up the other day and mentioned that it might be because of that guy's quirk.

He continued explaining that while it's a great opportunity his consciousness wouldn't let him pass unfairly. Others tried to convince him, but he just deflected all arguments when he said that this was for his pride. Hearing him say that instantly made me dislike him more than Todo, making me feel so moody I couldn't even smile when he asked why the girls were dressed like cheerleaders. Although it was obvious his question affected them.

After that, another competitor that made it to the final round stepped forward. He introduced himself as a student from class B and asked to be withdrawn as well since he also didn't feel comfortable advancing for the same reason. He argued that it was against the values of the festival to advance no matter how strong he was. I just kept quite as I thought how wrong these two were and weren't seeing the point of said festival.

From the commenting box Mr. Aizawa mentioned that this would be decided by Midnight. Looking at the two ladies on the stage Black Cat had a frown on her face while Midnight had a smile. Turns out she also believed they were being naive but said because that turned her on, so she would allow it. Did she seriously say that or am I just hoping she did? Either way she agreed to their demand to step down and talked about having to advance two students who were in the cavalry race.

The red head from class B (who I would later learn is Kendo) mentioned that her team was mostly frozen to she elected team Tetsutetsu to pass. When the silver haired loudmouth tried to ask her why Kendo explained that she was just being fair. He was so happy Tetsu screamed into the sky his thanks. So, it was decided that it would be Tetsutetsu and Shiozaki who would advance.

We finally drew lots, and I was up against Tokoyami while Momo would be facing Mina. I got kind of curious about that match up. While neither has physical enhancing quirks I don't doubt they have a couple of tricks up their sleeves. While I was curious about the other match ups I worried first on my own fight.

Before I left to decide whether I wanted to participate in the games or not I caught Mei walking up to Iida and heard the most dangerous thing she could ever say to a person, "I have something nice for you!" this instantly set off mental alarms in my head as I rushed towards them and pulled Iida behind me, acting as a human shield. When Iida asked me why I was being so rude Mei grabbed me by the shirt and in a threatening manner told me not to get in the way and even reminded me of the incident during the cavalry battle. Having no way to argue I apologized to both and walked away from them as I heard Mei lure Iida into what I'm sure is a trap.

Taking the time that the school was using to set up the games I went and got a few snacks from the stalls. When I finally came back to watch the games, I had a tower of food but also a starving wallet. At least I was used to the empty wallet part.

Wanting somewhere to put my food down I sat in the stands in an area that was reserved for us students but was mostly bare since most of them are in the field competing in the games. Right now, they are having a scavenger hunt and most of them seem to be having fun. I could even see some of the girls still in their cheerleader outfits cheering on, Ochako easily having the most energy. Even Momo who was the most embarrassed (although I'm not sure if because of the outfit or because of how easily she was tricked into wearing it) seemed to be having a good time even if she wasn't jumping like Ochako she did wave her pom-poms a bit with a smile on her face.

The only one not taking it seriously is the leader of class B since it seems like all he's doing is making fun of my class for taking the event so serious. It was interesting to see his classmate Kendo grab him with giant hands for her item hunt, and it was hilarious to see what she used him for. Not long after though Mina ran up to me in the stands and asked me to jump down. Wondering what she needed I asked if I needed to bring anything which she denied.

Curious I jumped down and was quickly dragged towards the circle where Midnight and Black Cat are reading over the item cards and deciding it the thing brought fits the bill. Worried I was going to be categorized like the other guy I tried asking what exactly I was being called. Mina just continued to walk towards the two judges while ignoring me. when we arrived, she handed her card to Midnight and after reading it she showed it to Black Cat while holding back her laughter.

After both took a minute to calm themselves, they put the card on the projector for all to see. Turns out the thing Mina needed to get was "Abs" and as soon as I saw that the camera turned towards me. Because of my slow reaction Cat was able to pull my shirt high enough to show my stomach and chest. It was so embarrassing I could feel my face turning red as if I ate the world's hottest pepper.

Mina got the point at the price of my embarrassment, and I headed back to my seat, grateful that my food was left alone as I needed to eat to make the feeling of being used go away. After that I was able to move on and enjoy the rest of the games. It was great to watch my classmates play different events that made no sense whatsoever. It was even more interesting to see people forced out of the stadium because of illegal gambling. Turns out it's a serious problem.

By the time I finished all the food I bought it was almost time for the finals to start. By then everyone that was going to be in the final round was already either in their waiting rooms or ready to get on the stage that Cementos was making. Personally, I was too busy regretting eating so much. I never actually tested how much I could eat since usually I ate as much as I used to before gaining my powers. To help I would then get snacks, but I was almost never full. The only times I got full in a single meal was at a buffet, but I never actually considered to record how much I ate.

Either way now that it was time for the finals to start all participants were called to the stadium for an announcement. Jumping from the stands I asked Mina if she knew what was happening but just got an unsure shrug. When everyone arrived, Present Mic announced that the match ups from before were false and that we were changing opponents. Turns out Present Mic thought that it would be cool to trick us like that.

So now I have to fight the guy Izuku was supposed to fight. What's worse is my fights first now when it was supposed to be Izuku's turn. I straight up took Izuku's spot.

So now that the matches are starting right away everyone not fighting was ordered to go to a seat in the stands or to wait the entrance of stadium to wait their turn if they were next. Turns out after me was Iida and he ended up keeping his opponent as he was wearing some of the tech Mei made. While I wanted to warn him about Mei's most likely plan to use him the accident during the cavalry battle and the fact that he would probably just ignore me after calling me rude.

So, me and my opponent are standing across from each other as we are being introduced to the crowd via Present Mic commenting on both of us. Thankfully, I was able to correctly remember that he was a general studies student because of the weird intro he had to our class. I tried to rack my brain to see if I knew anything about his quirk, but everything was coming up empty. Pretty sure Izuku and Ojiro were going to tell me something important, but they were forced out of the stadium before they could say anything.

So now the match has started and neither of us have moved. I was in ready position while he was standing there casually just looking at me with eyes that seemed dead to me. What surprised me is that instead of coming at me he instead started to talk to me. "Hey, is it true that you're the guy who held back the bad guys until ALL MIGHT arrived at your field trip?"kind of a weird time to ask something like that but I've had worse conversations during fights, usually they tell me to shut up or die. Most of the time both.

"I'm kinda not all-!" before I could finish my sentence it felt like I was in another place. At first it was the arena but with fog suddenly surrounding me and making it almost impossible to see anything. I couldn't move or talk but that wasn't what scared me, no what scared me is I remember this feeling. Feeling weak, suppressed, being controlled by an outside force. All I could think about is venom, how I almost lost myself, how I almost gave up. And most importantly I remembered my strength.

AIZAWA P.O.V

While Present Mic was screaming into the mic next to me, I just watched the unmoving Peter as he fell into the trap of Shinso's quirk. Like some other quirks it's almost impossible to explain his quirk with science other than he can ask a question that if answered in any way will cause the person Shinso asked to fall into a hypnotic state that forces them into a servant mindset. This quirk is especially dangerous because it was used on me and ALL MIGHT and neither one of us could break free of it. At most ALL MIGHT was able to fight off by not taking orders but still couldn't break free. I was completely made a servant and couldn't even activate my quirk to free myself.

Even though he's facing one of my students I couldn't help feeling bad for the general studies student. It's obvious the only reason he failed to join to get into the hero course was because the entrance exam gave him the worse opponent he could have imagined. In fact, he was probably prepared since he also put himself down for general studies unlike most other hero course tryouts. Another problem is that like most others he relies on his quirk to win and barely reaches out to other things. When I looked at his athletic record it turns out he is less in shape than Midoriya when he's unable to use his quirk.

Focusing back into the fight I watched as Shinso ordered Parker to step out of bounds. I knew it was over as soon as Parker answered but one look into Parker's eyes confirmed it when I saw the empty look that all victims of this quirk get. After a couple of seconds Parker started to walk but it wasn't towards the edge of the arena like he was ordered but towards Shinso! "What the?!" I was in complete shock as I watched this student who stepped up when I failed, who refused to step back no matter how damaged he got just so he could protect others do the one thing I know for a fact even ALL MIGHT couldn't do. He overpowered his enslaved body with his will alone.

Mic was insulting the fight by calling it boring since he didn't fully understand what was happening down there. I knew the he didn't read the file on the Shinso kid and was probably being harsh for the attention, but I couldn't correct him since we were limited to how much info we can release about a student's quirk to the public. To correct him means telling the viewers all the info we have on Shinso.

So, I focused on the fight and watched as Parker finally reach Shinso while Shinso was so obviously shocked over his quirk being overpowered that he didn't move. Finally getting over his shock Shinso took the first swing with a right hook but as soon as his fist made contact with Parkers face instead of the usual reaction of Parker getting his head to snap to the side, Parker remained without damage while Shinso was the one who screamed from pain.

I had completely forgotten that Parker's strength is naturally up even when relaxed. When Bakugou injured himself by hitting Parker in the training fight I had thought at the time Parker tensed his upper body to take the hit but now I see it's naturally strong enough that it can cause injury to any attacker not above a certain strength.

Before Shinso could recover Parker grabbed him too quick for Shinso to respond and threw him out of the ring. Shinso landed in a rough way that will get him sent to recovery girl while Parker didn't have a single scratch but was breathing as if he was seriously injured. Looking into his eyes I could see he was no longer under control of the quirk but instead held a look of pure anger before he blinked a few times and calmed down.

Black Cat P.O.V

I stepped into the ring and went to check on Peter. I patted his back as I tried to catch his attention, but it took a few tries to take his attention away from that Shinso guy. When he finally looked at me, he had a tired look and when he talked to me it was as if it had been a long time since he saw me. "Cat? What just happened?" Thankfully, I was able to answer him since I did read the report on that Shinso guy since it was decided that most of the staff should know what he can know. The only people who don't know were the ones not interested in knowing.

As I helped Peter (still weird to know his real name and face) to one of the waiting rooms I explained to him what happened. It was nice to hear all the guys jealous of him as they called out how unfair it was to be hugged by a hot chick.

Inside the waiting room I rubbed Peters back as he held his head in his hands, taking deep breaths as he was obviously taking the effects of the quirk very harsh. I got a message that I was either to send him to recovery girl or let him go but I was needed back at the stage. They didn't want signs of problems to reach the public.

When I finished reading the text Peter put his hand on my shoulder, telling me he was feeling better and that I should head back.

Every time I see him causes me to have mixed feelings, some positive but most negative because of the situation with my dad. I always must remind myself that while I could hate him for emotional reasons, logically he has more reasons to hate me and my dad for what happened to his uncle who he saw as a father.

Not knowing what to do in this situation I did as what was told of me and left him so I could return to the stage. When I reached the stage, the next participants were already there, the guy in Peters class who uses electricity and a girl from B class with the power of plants. As I reached my spot next to Midnight the crowd (mostly boys) cheered at me coming back.

You know it's kind of crazy that even though compared to many other female heroes I have already become an internet sensation just by standing next to Midnight. Some heroes even asked me out and I would make up an excuse but, in my head, I would compare them to Spidey when I first met him. How he was so serious but doing his job but could have a fun way of doing it. The effort he put into being a hero, not scared to take a hit. The fact that I found his quipping to be entertaining was also a plus.

After putting on an earplug mic again I let everyone know that both Peter and Shinso were fine and had no serious injuries. Then to distract the crowd I turned the attention towards the two fighters in the ring by letting them know they can start the match.

Kamanari (forgot the guy's name) started with a big blast of electricity that the girl blocked by turning her back to him and using her hair to build a wall of vines completely blocked the electricity from reaching her. Obviously Kamisorry didn't expect this as he now had a stupid face because of overloading his body and mind. The girl quickly grabbed him with her hair and held him up, winning her first match.

As the medic robots carried away the loser with the weird face I listened as those in the crowd talked about the match. Looking around I could even spot Peter with a few of his classmates. Taking the moment in between matches I checked my phone (paid for and given by the school!) to see if I had any new notifications. Turns out I'm already going to have some plush toys and figures sold. When I went online to check it out, I had a pretty good number of sales. The figures of me with Midnight were sold out already even though they just went on sale an hour ago. The best part was I'm getting part of the sale.

Peters P.O.V

After Cat left me alone, I stayed sitting for a few minutes just trying to get by breath back. I feel as if I just separated from venom and almost attacked that Shinso guy if I didn't get a moment of self-control and throw him out instead.

When I finally felt ready to leave there was a knock on the door before I could grab it. Opening it showed Izuku and Ojiro on the other side. They asked me how I was doing since everyone in class was worried about how I looked after the fight. Ojiro apologized for not telling me about Shinso's quirk while Izuku explained that before the match started Shinso was able to get him under the quirks control as well and was going to have him ring out as soon as the match started. So, the combatants being switched literally saved him. Then he asked how I was able to fight him when there was nothing he could do. Not wanting to relive that moment again I walked past them and told them to forget it, there was nothing to tell.

Getting back to the section for students to sit I reached my class and sat next to Momo. I guess I gave a negative vibe because while it was obvious everyone wanted to ask me how I was doing they only congratulated me and moved on to discussing the next fight.

Because Izuku was next to fight I wished him good luck and told him to be careful against Todo. When asking for advice I suggested that he needs to overpower him since Izuku had no way to outlast him. Looking at Todo made me realize just how bad a mood he is and warned Izuku to prepare for a big ice wave.

Looking at the tow of them down there I could see Izuku was nervous while Todo has a very calm look on him, no looking closer that's pure rage trying to be forced down. When the match is started the only one who moved is Izuku as he's running towards Todo who isn't moving a muscle.

Before Izuku could reach him Todo dropped his neutral look and had a look of raw anger in his eyes as he apologized before sending a wave of ice towards Izuku, obviously trying to end it in a single shot. Izuku was able to react quick enough by using his quirk to super jump over Todo and his attack. Not giving Izuku a chance a land, Todo sent another powerful blast of ice towards Izuku.

Because he was still falling and is an obvious sitting duck Izuku put his power into his left arm and swung at the ice, causing a large blast of air that destroyed the ice Todo sent at him and even pushed Todo back. Because of the force of the blast Todo needed to summon large pieces of ice to behind him to stop him from ringing out. Sadly, not only did Izuku have a bad landing because of the damage his legs took because of the jump but he also landed in the out zone, meaning Todo won the round.

Izuku was carried out by mini medic droids that I'm sure are taking him to recovery girl. As for Todo after taking a breath and calming down he started to melt the ice he made before leaving the arena. While the fight was great and showed them both off, it must suck for whoever is going next.

Speaking of the next fight seeing Iida walk into the ring with equipment that looked way to familiar was able to pull me out of my funk. Partially because of the horrible things I knew was to come and partially because I wanted to see how this was going to go.

Hearing my class wonder how the fight would go I added my thoughts about how Mei has the advantage in every way. When asked why as I took the opportunity of Iida and Mei being introduced to explain that I helped her build a few machines to counter speedsters.

Obviously taking it the wrong way, I explained that she was already working on the machine, I just helped her finish it. Focusing back on the arena I watched as Iida pulled out some equipment that when put together made a backpack like machine that I recognized right away. While Midnight told Iida that it was illegal for him to use support gear unless filling out the proper paperwork. While Iida defended himself, Momo asked me if I knew what he was using. I gave the sparks note version and told everyone listening that its main function is to help speedsters not crash or fall in case they were going so fast they couldn't react in time.

After my explanation I was able to catch the end of Iida's speech and couldn't help but feel bad for how bad a mistake he made putting his trust in Mei. His words were able to convince Midnight to allow him to use the gear even if Black Cat looked like she thought it was a bunch of baloney. Even present Mic was surprised with Midnight's decision.

A surprised Izuku who was writing something in his diary turned to me and asked if Hatsume (I almost didn't know he was talking about Mei) would really be that sportsmanlike. I answered with a short "No." without thinking. As I watched Mei smile while adjusting a small mic attached to her goggles. Wait when did he get here and how bad was the damage that he needs so many bandages? I didn't get a chance to ask anything since my focus was put in the fight again by Present Mic.

Going with it Present Mic announced the start of the match. Iida literally started off running towards Mei while she made to effort to prepare or move. In fact, as Iida is running towards her Mei started to ask how he was liking her equipment, using the speakers I saw her put into her equipment.

Momo asked if I knew that Mei was going to use her opponents like this, but I denied knowing about her using her opponents as an example. I just thought she was going to overwhelm her opponents with tech that we built.

Wanting to show off her hard work Meiself-complemented her tech by explaining how it was helping Iida and was able to dodge out of the way using sensors attached to the mech pack that pushed her out of the way in time by ejecting a pole for of the corner of the pack and caused Iida to trip over said pole. Turning quickly Iida ran towards her back hoping to get her weak spot but like I suspected the machine saw him coming and dodged for her.

Tripping again Iida almost fell and would have if not for the equipment forcing him back up without crashing. Seeing our tech (despite what she might say I helped) work perfectly Mei also explained that part of the tech. It soon started to look like torture as Iida couldn't touch her and when he tried, he would end up tripping which would then make him spin in a way that was making me dizzy just by watching. The whole time with Mei commenting. Moving on to her next Baby to show off the boots she is wearing started to glow as she dodged Iida this time by jumping over him thanks said boots. Of course, she also explained this (and again failed to give me credit for being the reason she can make a decent landing). The next thing she showed off was the net gun that she did make on her own, capturing Iida in it while explaining and showing it off. Surprisingly even though Iida can't get out of the net Midnight still didn't call the match. I could see Cat asking if they should call it, but Midnight said no.

After this Mei spent the next 10 minutes showing off the rest of her gadgets that she could fit. And boy it was a lot. Some I don't even remember seeing before but nothing as impressive as the opening act gadgets. After showing everything, she walked out of the ring with a smile that showed how proud she was while swiping a sweat. When Iida yelled at Mei for using him, she just turned to the side and admitted without shame that she needed him to show off her stuff.

Iida was just in shock on his knees as he was announced the winner by Midnight and Black Cat who showed no signs of sympathy to him. As Iida walked back to his seat, he looked like a colorless version of himself. He would take his time to return to us since he would talk to his family before reuniting with us.

During all that I finally paid more attention to Izuku and realized that it wasn't a diary in his hands but a journal, that he was filling with our classmate's weaknesses. Moving quickly, I surprised everyone by quickly reaching Izuku and snatching his journal. "Wha?!" obviously surprised, Izuku couldn't form words.

I scolded him, telling him it's bad to openly write down the strength and weaknesses of people. When some of our classmates tried to defend Izuku and demand I return the journal I argued that this info can be dangerous if the wrong people found out about it. Especially because he is so close to the people, he's writing about so he could write things no one would normally be able to figure out.

Tokoyami stood up and argued that most heroes already had their powers known to the public and that Izuku is far from the only one doing it. So, I asked how many know the weakness of Mr. Aizawa since the public or researchers would figure it out. Well, if anyone ever gets Izuku's journal they would find out mutation quirks are less effective and that they just need to wait out until Aizawa blinks for a chance. Seriously he wrote down his hero teachers' weakness!

While that was able to shut up almost everyone, Tokoyami remained firm on his decision to back Izuku who himself was starting to feel bad about hat he was doing. It was getting tense with Momo grabbing my shoulder and telling me to sit down to watch and cheer for Mina and Aoyama's match.

Refusing to give back the journal I made a comment about it being okay to study peoples abilities but to be more mindful, since I hate the thought of people writing everything, they could find about me, especially if it included how to beat me.

Finally sitting Momo asked me how I thought the match would go. Hearing the question Izuku decided to add his own two cents and started to go off about their quirks and how Aoyama would fight from a distance while Mina would try to disable his belt with a close-range attack with her quirk saying that would give Aoyama the advantage. I argued that he made a mistake by not considering the people and not just their quirks. When asked what I meant everyone listened that while quirks are our best weapons, that we can still do much more than that one thing. I asked Izuku who he considers to have the advantage and he said Aoyama for the distance needed to be covered. I argued that it's Mina for multiple reasons.

Her quirk let's her move around the field much easier allowing her to have an easier time dodging, the fact that Aoyama's laser is pretty straight forward so she can guess easily where he's going to attack. Plus, while getting closer would raise the chance for Mina to get hit higher by the time, she gets to point blank range I'm sure she would have taken out his belt. Also, one last important thing, physical conditioning. The match is started as I was asked to explain so I said anyone who so much as looks at them could tell Mina is in better shape, obviously exercising more thus giving her the edge in stamina and strength. I also went and pointed out that Aoyama can't do any tricks with his attacks and is obviously focusing on where she is when he attacks and not where she's going to be.

After I was done, I started to look through Izuku's book and realized that these people were way to trusting. Not only did he have the basic info of their quirks that anyone could get of the internet but also information that he even wrote that he only knows because they told him their weaknesses. What the hell people!

During the match Mineta would scream support to Aoyama but less because he believed in him but because he was thinking that girls getting hit mean they lose cloths with every hit. What sucks is that he has a great quirk for capturing people.

While reading I kept looking up occasionally, seeing not only that I was right, but that Aoyama was starting to slow down on shooting. It was then I remembered when he told the whole class his weakness. Belly beam, an attack that while powerful causes him to need to use the restroom every time he uses it excessively. Poor man would never survive a bean burrito. Seeing Aoyama on his last legs I booked marked the page I was reading with my thumb as I watched Aoyama pull an all or nothing by blasting his largest attack yet. Mina easily dodged it and got in close, using her quirk to damage his belt and even causing his pants to fall, giving everyone a show of his underwear. Mineta was screaming at the sight although I couldn't tell if it was because of disappointment or anger that it wasn't Mina's. I think he's crying too.

I did wince for Aoyama though at the sight of the uppercut he took from Mina. I seriously wonder how he didn't let loose right there after a hit like that but hey, willpower. The cheers this time was like night and day compared to the last match since this time it was an entertaining match. The medic robots quickly came and carried Aoyama away to get checked out by recovery girl. Mina offered an apology in the form of a prayer.

Before Tokoyami and Momo could leave for their match I asked Tokoyami if he truly believes Izuku's notes would have no effect. He confirmed it and walked away. I followed Momo and handed her Izuku's journal, making her focus on the Tokoyami page. After reading it for a bit she got a bit mad at what was written inside and walked away to start her fight. I called out a good luck before she was out of sight.

Having done what, I wanted I headed back to the stage where Iida still hasn't returned yet. Sitting back down next to Izuku I asked that even though I showed Momo his notes if he believes Tokoyami can still win. When he didn't back down, I decided to make a bet. Curious Izuku asked me what I had in mind, so I said if Momo won, he had to destroy all the journals with hero info in them. If Momo lost, I would tell him some of my strengths and weaknesses that I haven't told anyone. Truthfully, the only thing I haven't told them is the spider-sense, but I think I'll keep that one hidden.

Down in the arena Momo and Tokoyami were walking towards the stage as they are being introduced by Present Mic. Before the matched started I asked Izuku if he was going to take the bet and he shook my hand. Guess he really liked screwing people over.

As soon as the match was started Tokoyami sent his shadow to attack Momo who defended by summoning a shield for defense. Being quick Momo also created herself a pair of dark sunglasses and soundproof headphones.

Momo dropped to the floor to dodge an attack by dark shadow and threw a small object at Tokoyami himself. Dark shadow quickly reached the thrown item before it could reach his master but was caught in the blast of light caused from the flash grenade. the point-blank blast had an obvious effect on shadow as it started to whimper and back away from Momo. Realizing his mistake Tokoyami walked back as Momo calmly walked towards him while apologizing but telling him that this was a serious competition, and she was going to use everything she had to win.

While those two are fighting Present Mic is commenting that it's a surprise that Momo is doing so well against something like dark shadow. Aizawa defended her by stating she probably used the flash grenade to give her a chance to make something to fight against dark shadow or at least keep him at bay.

Going on the offensive Momo created what I swear is a light saber that she saw when I convinced her to watch Star Wars with me. When dark shadow tried to block an attack, I could see electricity bounce off his hand. So, it's a shocking attack stick. Wonder if she'll let me keep it?

To close to use the flash grenade Momo stayed close quarters combat by using her light saber for offence and a bit of defense while using the shield to block big swipes at her. Thanks to dark shadows powers being decrease thanks to the flash and the light from the saber he didn't have the power he once had to push her around.

In a surprising move dark shadow forced himself to grab the saber while Tokoyami went around and grabbed her shield arm. He was able to get her into the air, but mid-air Momo was able to flip it and slammed him in the ground and landed on top of him. She then made a taser and held it to his chin as she threatened him to surrender, which he does realizing he had no way to fight back.

Of course, Present Mic screams Momo's victory after Midnight confirmed it. Being a good sport Momo offered Tokoyami her hand to help him up. Being a good sport, he took it and they walked out of the arena.

After they left the arena Kirishima and Tetsutetsu both walked into the ring, already in their battle forms. I can't decide if it's funny or not they had the same manly intro. Kirishima looks like he wants to cry since he's having a hard time standing out. As they started fighting Izuku asked me my thoughts on who had the advantage. Understandable since I doubt, he knew much about rocks and metals, although I didn't know much about rocks myself.

I answered that I couldn't be sure since they looked evenly matched in everything other than material of their quirk. So that would probably be the determining factor. Tokoyami who had returned asked if I could tell which is stronger. I said that my guess the material their body is turning into is naturally formed material in the world, so most likely Kirishima's quirk gave him the advantage since most rocks are tougher.

As I was saying my thoughts aloud, we watched as the two combatants beat the crap out of each other. So far, they showed not only that they can match blow for blow but even having the same fighting style.

Tokoyami took a guess that Tetsu has the advantage because of his material but I corrected him by telling him that most of the time rocks are tougher than metal. Following up on that Momo went on her own speech of explanation of rocks and metals, some of which even I didn't know.

The round ended in a draw. As Tetsutetsu and Kirishima were carried away Midnight announced that after all the first-round fights were done they would decide the winner via a contest of her choice. Looking around I realized that Izuku and Ochako had both left already. Had probably left a while ago.

We spent the next few minutes with me trying to convince Momo not to make me wear a costume that the girls apparently got ready for me. Suddenly Izuku and Iida returned without Ochako probably since her match is about to start against Baku. Izuku mentioned that he wanted to help her come up with a plan, but she turned him down.

The match started with Ochako running towards Baku, her intention to touch him and use her quirk obvious. While I thought this was a bad plan Izuku and Iida were talking as if she had it in the bag if she touched him. I quickly corrected them as I told them using her quirk on him is the worst thing she can do. Seeing the obvious look of a question I explained that all she would do is give him the ability of flight, after all if Baku floats out of bounds, he can blast his way into the ring. While she has no advantage using her quirk on him would be counterproductive. Understanding my reasoning neither could come up with an argument and turned back to the stage with worried look as they watch Ochako try to touch Baku and got blasted away with a full power blast.

These actions have now been repeating for the last few minutes, with every effort on Ochako's part ending in failure. The sight of scary Baku beating up a cute girl like Ochako was getting a strong reaction from the audience. Almost everyone was booing at Baku, telling him that he's torturing her and that he is evil for prolonging the fight. When even some of my classmates started to complain about Baku's attitude, I defended him by saying them if this was supposed to a playground or a place to show what you can do. I'm sure even Baku is curious of what Ochako has planned but is playing it safe by keeping his distant. Even Mr. Aizawa told the audience to quiet down, giving a speech on Baku paying respect to his opponent by not holding back.

Finally, an exhausted and badly bruised Ochako stood opposite of Baku, obviously too tired to attack. Out of nowhere she put her hands together in the form of when she uses her quirk. Everyone looked around, not able to find what she was using her quirk on until I realized something "Uh, where did all the destroyed parts of the arena go?" as if he heard me Baku suddenly looked up at the same time as me as we quickly realized Ochako made her own asteroid field above the stadium using destroyed pieces of the stadium. Well shit, as soon as I saw the floating debris, I realized her plan and couldn't decide if it was over killing or just enough for someone like Baku. With the debris falling on him Baku had no room to run so he pointed his hands up and with his strongest show of strength yet, he destroyed the falling debris. Afterword I could see him shaking a bit, although I couldn't tell wither it was from exhaustion or fear of almost getting crushed.

Ochako who had a look of defeat on her face tried to step towards Baku was just fell over from exhaustion and damage to her body. Black Cat ran into the ring and checked on her. After a minute she called the match, officially calling Baku the winner and a woman beater. Obviously, this caused a reaction from Baku, but he just yelled at her as he walked away. Guess he really tired himself out since he played mostly defense this fight.

Izuku was quick to leave and find Ochako, no doubt to try and help her feel better. While he did that Kirishima and his metal twin walked into the field as they are finally going to have their tie breaker, an arm-wrestling match. It was pretty interesting to see, less the actual arm wrestling and more the people getting kicked out for placing bets. In the end my guess was right, and rock won over metal in the end, heck I think Kirishima fractured that guy's metal arm!

So afterwards being good sports or men in Kirishima's case he helped Tetsutetsu off the ground and shook hands, making Midnight cry in joy and I hope nothing else. Seriously I know she's the rated R hero and all but does the school really allow this?

Arriving just in time to distract me Baku took his seat, getting complemented on doing a great job looking like a villain in his fight. Kaminari tried to tell him off for using all his strength on poor frail Ochako and even tried to make himself look better by stating he was holding back in his fight. Tsu stopped him cold and straight up told him he was easily overpowered and defeated. Listening to Present Mic talk made me realize that my match was next. Heading down to the ring my classmates wished me luck, with Izuku asking me if I wanted to know anything about Todo. Not saying a word, I walked over to Baku and held out Izuku's book, silently asking him to destroy it. Getting what I wanted him to do Baku grabbed the notebook and turned it to ashes, not taking his eyes away from me. "If we fight you better give it your all you hear?"

Nodding to him I looked at Izuku, telling him that he should believe in himself and others more. Done talking I rushed to the arena, passing by a giant of a man who had different parts of his body covered in flames. He stopped me, asking if I was the one who was Fighting Todo next. When I confirmed it, he told me to try and give his son a decent fight, though not to get my hopes up. I retorted that we're tougher than we look and ran the rest of the way to the arena thinking in my head that guy was a jerk.

At the entrance I waited for my introduction, as when I stepped out the crowd did a cheer at the sight of one of the fighters. When Todo went out though the crowd went wild for him, showing the obvious favorite.

As we got into position to start the match, I called out to Todo, asking him if he was going to take me seriously. He replied with an of course, asking why I would ask that. I replied that someone fighting with one hand behind his back isn't serious at all but a joke for whatever he was trying to represent and those that do take it seriously. Frowning at my words we simply waited for the match to start.

At the go Todo quickly formed a large amount of ice, directing it at me. Guessing he would do that I had already jumped, getting over the ice, and almost reaching him. Quickly getting over me dodging his initial attack he then built a wall of ice blocking us from each other. I caught myself on it while quickly realized his plan, proving right as he sent the wall to the edge of the ring.

I gave a strong punch to the ice, breaking a piece of the wall and causing a hole just big enough to fit through. Once on the other side I wasted no time and reached Todo as he tried to stop me like last time, but I wasted no time breaking through the ice he was making. At this point the arena was so cold not only could I see my breath but Todo himself looked like he was starting to become an ice sculpture. Quickly realizing what was happening to him I screamed for him to use his fire. He told me to shut up and tried to another ice attack, but I swiped his hand to the side causing the ice to form away from me. Using this opportunity, I gave a jab to his stomach with the strength I use on thugs and grabbed him by his shirt, pulling him over my shoulder and slamming him into the ground.

With quick thinking he tried to freeze me by trying to touch me, but my spider-sense warned me, and I jumped above him and his attack, landing on top of him and grabbing his ice arm so he couldn't move it anymore. I asked Todo why he wasn't fighting seriously, why he lets his father hold him back from becoming something great. I could see him getting angry, his control starting to slip. His body started to smoke, and I could feel his body heat start to rise, most of it coming from the side opposite of where his ice comes from. I could even see small flames start to appear from his face.

He screamed at me "Shut up! I told you already, I don't need him or his strength! I will become the best without it!" it was so sad to hear him say that, was I like that at any point? I can't remember.

Getting tired of his excuses I screamed my thoughts at him "Your father doesn't matter and neither does your dam pride! You may have started from him, but you are your own thing, just like the child of a villain can't be accused of the crimes their parents committed you aren't tied to him unless you let yourself be! What happened was terrible, I understand that much but if your goal is really reach the top then stop worrying about your powers origin and focus on how it can be used!"

I think he listened to me this time as he activated the flames of his left side and tried to hit me with it. Remembering the feeling of being burned before I didn't feel like blocking it and instead jumped away from him, giving us some distance apart.

Standing across from each other I could see his hesitation on using his left side, so I tried to give some last words of encouragement. "Todoroki, I know you take your goal serious. Just like I can also understand not wanting to use something that caused you so many problems but that's exactly why you should use it. Show her she no longer needs to fear it because now it's your strength and nobody else!"

He said a quiet thank you to me and sent a wave of ice that covered the whole field, I only dodged thanks to my enhanced abilities. Jumping over his wave of ice I started running full speed towards him, dodging attacks of ice. When I was halfway towards him Todoroki raised his left hand for the first time and it was shining so brightly it hurt to look at the flames.

I could hear the teachers trying to stop Todoroki since it was pretty obvious, he was going to do a very powerful and dangerous attack. Cementos tried to stop us by building walls of cement, but I just ran up to one and broke of a large piece and put it behind me, bracing myself for impact. As expected, the walls weren't enough to block the blast, leading me to take the full force.

While the heat and strength of his fire was no joke it was made even worse form the explosion made from the sudden cold to hot temperature. My whole body hurt and for a second, I think I blacked out but was able to control myself enough to make sure I landed on the piece of wall I save, otherwise I would have been out of mounds.

I needed a minute to pull my thoughts together, my ears were ringing, and my body felt heavy. Present Mic tried to call my defeat, but Mr. Aizawa corrected him, pointing out I was on top of a piece of the cement. I looked at Todoroki and I could see even he was affected by the blast. He was clearly exhausted and took some damage.

Having had enough I decided to give him a bit of a beat down. Jumping back into the arena I ran at Todoroki, dodging all attacks of fire and ice he sent at me. When I reached him, I punched him in the stomach hard enough that it lifted him from the ground, I turned the hit into an assault of punches. At the fifth hit I sent him high enough where his shoe was at my eye level. I grabbed his ankle and slammed him into the ground, although he softened the blow with his ice. Seeing him get ready to send ice my way I through him hard enough to get out of the ring. Of course, he used his ice as a slide to stop himself from getting out of bounds, but I counted on that. After stopping himself Todoroki looked at me, no doubt to send another large wave of ice or fire at me but got a surprise in the form of me being in front of him, having jumped from my spot in the arena and falling directly in front of him. Taking advantage of the surprise I punched him in the chest hard enough to have him break through his ice and land on the ground, effectively losing while with me I used another piece of ice to stay legally above the ground.

After getting the all clear in the form of Present Mic announcing my victory I hopped down from the ice and checked on Todo. Apart from a ton of bruising he looked mostly fine. Although my specialty isn't really people so I could be wrong. Either way my whole-body aches and now that the adrenaline is gone, I don't even want to move. I was actually jealous when robots came and carried Todo away.

When Cat came to check on me, I told her I felt like I had a really bad sunburn everywhere and couldn't move. So, she grabbed my arm and helped me head to the infirmary but not without poking in different spots, causing pain wherever she poked. The worst part was whenever we passed anyone along the way she would stop and put on an innocent act until she was in the clear, then she would continue to torture me.

Thankfully, we did finally arrive to recovery girls nursing room. Before we could touch the doors handle it opened in front of us, showing Todo walking out. He didn't mirror my feelings of awkwardness as he stepped to the side and walked away without a word.

After that my visit with recovery girl was pretty quick, she was surprised that I wasn't going to show any scars after that kind of fight but if molten man couldn't leave a mark, I doubt fire could do much better. After being given the OK to continue fighting I was given a sports drink and sent on my way.

Seeing as the tournament was starting to round up close to the finals, I headed straight to one of the arena entrances, watching from one of the screens put they're for waiting fighters. Turns out in the time I was away Iida already had himself a quick match against that plant lady. The highlight showed he overwhelmed her with his speed and pushed her out of the ring without throwing a single hit, wonder if he did that to show off or because he was fighting a girl? Hope he's that nice when we fight.

Right now, it was Momo and Mina fighting, with Momo keeping her distance until making a shield except this time unlike the usual metal one she makes this one has a plastic look to it. As soon as the shield came out Momo went on the offensive using the shield to block and swat away the flying acid. Probably not liking her chances in a hand-to-hand fight Mina tried her own trick. She through some acid at Momo blinding her for a second to block, using that chance Mina also threw some acid to the floor where Momo was going to step causing her to trip. Not willing to let a chance get away Mina went on the offensive and punched Momo before she reached the ground, changing Momo to land on her back instead of her front.

Momo realizing, she was in danger of losing swiped Mina's legs using her own, causing Mina to land on her front next to Momo. Momo quickly made a shock baton and got on top of Mina, holding the Baton near Mina's body, and threatened her to surrender. Not seeing a way-out Mina tapped the floor signaling her loss.

After a comment from Present Mic about their cat fight (his words not mine) both fighters helped each other to recovery girl to get checked on just in case. Not bothering to wait for the two to leave resent Mic called out the next fighters, Baku and Kirishima. Mr. Aizawa commented that while the force of Baku's explosions probably won't hurt Kirishima very much the heat could prove to be a problem.

While initially the fight started with Baku on the defense since he couldn't do much against Kirishima's defense soon I started to realize that Kirishima started to get desperate on ending the fight instead of letting Baku tire himself out. Guess Kirishima has a limit to his quirk, wonder if it's how much damage he takes or the amount of strain it puts on his body to keep it up? Either way looks like Baku figured out the same thing because now he's just sending barrages of explosions on Kirishima not letting him move an inch. In a final move Baku did an uppercut sending Kirishima flying into unconsciousness.

After Baku walking away and Kirishima being carried out by the nursing robots it was now my turn to face Iida. Pretty soon we were both into position across from each other as Aizawa commented that while I had the advantage in almost everything it would be determined which was more overwhelming: my strength or his speed.

I could hear classmates cheering both of us on while every other class was quiet, no doubt mad that it was only class A in the finals. As soon as Midnight gave the OK Iida ran towards me at a speed, I couldn't match but could counter. When he tried for a hit to the back of the head, I did a small backflip under his arm and kicked him in the face sending him flying to the edge of the ring.

No doubt understanding that his usual speed wouldn't be enough he got into a running position, the same one I saw before in his last match against the plant girl. Knowing that he was going to go turbo I tried to prepare myself but before I knew it my spider-sense was ringing and I followed it, lowering my head, and barely dodging a powerful kick from Iida who practically teleported behind me. I wasn't fat enough to dodge his next attack, a powerful kick to the stomach that would have sent me flying if hadn't grabbed my shirt and started to run while holding on to me, no doubt trying to out of bounds me.

Not willing to give an inch I grabbed his arm that was holding me and used my hand to stick to the ground, forcing him to stop and lose his momentum. Using his shot, I slammed him into the ground hard enough to make him bounce. Also, not willing to give up Iida used the boosters to change direction and kick me in the face, although I stopped him with a well time hand catching his leg. That's not to say his kick didn't hurt a bunch to catch.

I slammed him to the ground and jumped on top of him so that he couldn't move anymore, even with the aid of his quirk. Although I did have to hold on for a few minutes as he tired himself out, it was like a rodeo ride. After he stopped moving, I encourage him to tap out so that his family wouldn't see him get carried out of the ring. Not wanting to get embarrassed in front of a large crowd Iida tapped out.

While it was obvious Iida was taking the loss hard, he was a good sport and even accepted my hand to help him up. In the amount of time, it took me to get Iida to Recovery Girl to arriving back to the stadium Momo and Baku's match was already underway.

Baku was the only one who was going on the offensive as Momo was forced to block all his attacks with a shield that looked to already be breaking apart. She made batons but all of them were blown out of her hands before she could use them. Baku was able to blast her strong enough to get Momo to fall to the ground. Not letting this opportunity go he reached down with one hand and grabbed her neck and the other hovering over in a threatening manner. He really does play the villain too well sometimes. Not seeing a way-out Momo surrendered, obviously feeling down over such a one-sided loss.

I would later find out that she hated the replay of her match since she thought herself a top student yet did even worse than Ochako against Baku. Thankfully with the help of her parents we were able to bring her out of her funk.

Now though me and Baku are waiting in one of the dressing rooms anticipating our fight. While I had an idea of how I was going to fight I knew without my tech Baku had the advantage since his explosions would be tricky to get around. Throwing him out of bounds might not even work if his explosions can send him flying back into safety.

Hearing Present Mic call us to the ring Baku stopped me so he could order me to go all out. Guess he really needs to prove himself huh. Wonder if he's talked to his family during all of this and how that talk went.

Walking out into the field I can safely say that the crowd has officially reached its peak in hype. I mean the noise was so bad it was starting to hurt my ears. As we stood across from each other I tried to keep a calm look while Baku had a crazed smile on his face, warming up or showing off by having small explosions dance across his hands.

As soon as Midnight gave the go Baku used his blasts to fly towards me, knowing his explosions are the only things he has strong enough to hurt me. When he got close tried to swing at him, but he used his explosions to keep me at bay, not getting close enough for me to swipe his hands to the side but still close enough where I could feel the force and heat from his blasts.

I tried to rush him, but Baku used his blasts to send himself air born. I jumped behind him but quickly realized my mistake cause as soon as I reached him, he used his quirk to move out of the way and start blasting me while all I could do Is awkwardly fall back down. In a moment of dizziness, I couldn't tell up from down and ended up getting Baku's hand to my chest, with him sending me crashing into the ground with the added force of one of his biggest explosions yet, biggest if not counting his gauntlet blaster.

So now here I am, in a crater in the arena feelingkind of dizzy from being thrown around a bunch. I was lucky though; another few feet and I would have been out. So, pulling myself together I jumped out of the way of a crashing Baku. Out of the smoke instead of a flying Baku instead came out a flying piece of the floor. Guess he took the idea to use the arena as a weapon from Ochako huh?

Even though it was coming at high speed I was able to catch the baseball sized chunk or cement with almost no effort. The tricky part came afterwards when he sent a bunch of pieces at me. I could tell from the sound of the explosion that he put plenty of effort into making them fly at me, this being shown by the pieces of cement almost reaching bullet speed. Thankfully, I'm pretty good at not getting hit by bullets, showing this by not getting touched by any of the pieces of cement. It did take some awkward bending though.

Not wanting to drag this out Baku got into the air and used his quirk to build speed while spinning so much that he built a mini tornado. The strength of his tornado made it to where I couldn't jump to dodge him without being pulled in, so I braced myself once again for what I'm sure is Baku's finisher move. Turns out as he screamed his moves name and when he reached me made his biggest explosion yet. It would have sent me flying if I wasn't using my sticky feet to hold onto the floor as I was pushed back from the floor.

When I came to a stop, I was at the edge of the arena which was filled of smoke. Even through my ringing ears I could hear Present Mic and Aizawa talking. "Oh my gosh people! These fights are literally blowing me away! I think we have just witnessed the biggest explosion yet from young Bakugou! Mr. Aizawa any comments of who is more dangerous to Parker? Todoroki and his fire and ice combo or Bakugou and his big booms?" Seriously this guy sounds way to happy to see one of his students almost get blown up.

Of course, Mr. Aizawa responded to Mics question with his usual bored voice. "It's hard to say since both are so dangerous as fighters. But for someone like Parker down there I would have to say Todoroki. Since his fire is shown to be his best chance against Parker's strength where his ice failed. Now some people would think the same would be for Bakugou but there's a big difference between a fire and an explosion. One is dangerous for its burns and the other for the force from the boom produced. It comes down to which is worse for you, force, or fire. And since we know Parker is a powerhouse even when compared to many strengths-based quirks, I don't think Bakugou's blast force will be enough."

What the heck teach I get mad at Izuku for telling peoples data and you literally tell everyone mine?! Is this some form of karma? Was it for the bad nicknames I gave to Baku and Todo? No can't be.

As the cloud of dust started to clear I could just start to make out the outline of Baku. Not wanting to make this a test of stamina I rushed towards him, jumped over his retaliating explosion, and grabbed him by his shirt while upside down in the air and threw him into the ground outside the ring. It was so quick he no time to retaliate nor make a move. In fact, for a few seconds, he had a face of WTF as it took a bit for him to process, he just lost. As you can imagine he didn't take this very well.

He got back up and tried to attack me "Wait a dam second your bas-!" before he could make it back onto the stage Midnight had already reached him and ripped a piece of her costume, causing a pink mist to release form the tear. As soon as Baku inhaled it, he suddenly got dizzy and fell into Midnight's waiting hands, who cuddled him and told him to relax. Unable to resist the power of Midnight's quirk Baku went out in an instant.

After that was half an hour for me to relax in the form of them sitting up the winner circle and a bathroom break for the audience. During that time, my classmates found me and gave their congrats while telling me about how things were in the audience. Turns out that quite a few people started to gamble during the last match and got kicked out. Mineta actually fainted when he saw me take an explosion head on. And did again when he saw I took it like a man (Kaminari's words). Also, it was nice to hear most of the class put their faith on me winning.

When I asked where Iida was since he would with me since he was in third place with Momo. Turns out he had to leave because of a family emergency, nobody knew what happened other than it was bad since it left him very worried. While I quite couldn't completely get Iida's family problem out of my head things did get cheerful as Momo's father let her know that he already received calls from people wanting to have her work for their companies. When I asked about how we weren't supposed to know about intern jobs until the next class she gave a pretty good explanation. "Oh no these aren't hero companies you see; these are more like limited edition companies. Obviously, I wouldn't be able to match a factory when it comes to mass producing but if an item is needed to be tested and they don't want to use money on the process of making test subjects then I can make a few samples." Wow she makes samples from her fat and would get paid for it. How lucky, for me to get paid for my powers I had to get punched in the face. Or shot at. Or rammed. Now I'm at a school that teaches me that as a profession. I can't decide if that's a good thing or not.

After a few minutes of talking Black Cat came around and told me to follow her to where the winners were going to be. On the walk there she congratulated me and offered me money in case I ever need it. When asked why it turns out that even the teachers got into the gambling themselves. While Aizawa and Cat won the biggest bet by betting on me, every other teacher was able to get some money. Except for Mic, apparently, he lost all his bets and was so sure Baku was going to win he bet his car against the principal. That explains why his announcement of my victory sounded more negative than anything else.

So, when we arrived to where the finalists where I saw that we were going to be on pedestals, the higher our score the higher the pedestal. I was the last to arrive and the thing that instantly catches my attention is Momo making chains and giving them to Midnight who was using them to tie Baku to his pedestal. The guy had cuffs that covered his hands and wrist and mask that was obviously stopping him from screaming.

Running low on time the rest of us were ordered to get into our spots as the floor of the stadium opened and our pedestal came up with us on display. The cheering crowd quickly turned quiet as they noticed Baku in his awkward position.

Pretending not to notice the weird atmosphere Midnight announced the finalists and the winner of the 1st year festival. Then told the crowd that the one who is giving out the medals is the #1 hero ALL MIGHT. Jumping from the edge of the stadium ALL MIGHT did a perfect landing and ran up to us. Going first to Momo he told her something while handing her medal. Next to Baku as he made the mistake of taking off his gag. "Get the hell away from me! I refuse to allow myself to sink so low as to accept that I'm anything but 1st!" If his hands weren't cuffed, I'm pretty sure he would have attacked the staff member, mostly because whenever ALL MIGHT tries to put the metal around Baku's neck Baku tries to bite him. Giving up the number one hero stuffed the medal into Baku's mouth and moved on to me.

He told me the usual congratulations loudly for the crowd to hear and quietly told me he was happy to know that Izuku had someone like me having his back. After that he put the medal around my neck and got the crowd ready to scream something together. The problem was he screamed "Congrats to all participants!" While the crowd and everyone else screamed "Plus Ultra!" They even screamed at him for messing up.

Now that the fighting part of the festival was over, we could decide if we stick around until it closes or head home to rest up for school tomorrow. Momo and a couple of our classmates decided to look around a while longer while Todo had left as soon as given permission. Although he did pull me aside and said thanks. He explained that our fight was the first time he used his left side without hating it. Not waiting for a respond, he up and left.

As for me, while I wanted to head home and rest, I decided to go around the festival. After all we never had anything like this back home. It was interesting to see Present Mic crying as he handed keys over to the principal. Oh, I also found out that 52 people were arrested for illegal gambling in the crowd, apparently not even a record.

So, I enjoyed the last moments of the festival I received a message from Momo's parents congratulating me while also telling me they had something important to discuss with me and Momo about our upcoming internships. Wonder what's it's about?
