SOOO I know it's been a while since the last update, but personal stuff has been going on! But I promise from now on weekly updates...If lucky I can get out two chapters a week! I don't anything except the storyline! Enjoy!
~Cannot wait to see you in two days. – Christian Grey~
Ana's cheeks blushed as she read the text. ~I would assume that you are in an important meeting Mr. Grey, and should be focusing on that not sending me all these texts. (Not that I'm not flattered. Cause my face is currently a deep red)- Ana~
Something about this man was drawing her into the deep end. ~If I could leave the meeting early I would. Strange to say this to anyone else, but I think I miss you…Which is weird typing it out since we've only known each other for only two weeks and two days. - Christian Grey~ Ana couldn't help herself but blush again. How was this possible. It had been two weeks since the bunch at the Greys' and things seemed to be progressing steadily between Christian and Ana. Christian had been away since the brunch but kept texting Ana about their upcoming first date. Ana was looking forward to finally spending some alone time with Christian and getting to know him without distractions, or family being pushy. Which happened after Mia had caught Ana and Christian almost kissing by the dock. Since that moment, Christian's family has inserted themselves into the 'relationship' between Ana and Christian; Ana didn't care too much, but Christian was a different story all together… he was not having it. She only had to wait two more days till the first date.
~Okay Grey, go work your tail off. I have a date with my favorite book tonight and it's my first day off since your mom's brunch soooo I intend to relax. Ps. I miss you…I don't think it's weird, I get it. But two days from now we'll finally get to hang out. - Ana
Tracing the outside of her book as she sat in her study, Ana found herself drifting back to the last time she saw Christian before he left for his meeting. She truly didn't realize it until now how magnetic they were the whole night. Though in her head she cursed her friends for intruding on their almost kiss.
"Ana, Christian!" Christian quickly pulled away not wanting his siblings to see the two of them kiss. Looking up both could see the wondering eyes of Mia and Kate just staring at them, Ana blushed looking away from their eyes. "Uh, Ana was supposed to join us a bit ago for girls' day." Mia bit back the knowing smirk that wanted to react to the closeness between Ana and Christian.
"I'll meet you back at the house." Mia was about to retort when Kate pulled the youngest Grey back to the house. Ana turned to Christian; his face mirrored hers in embarrassment. "Kind of breaks the mood huh?"
Christian just shook his head turning back to the lake. He was used to his siblings interfering in his life, but for some reason this was different. He wanted to keep this between the two of them so much more now than ever. He actually wanted to try with her, it would be the first time in years that he attempted to have a real and honest relationship. It scared the crap out of Christian Grey, it wasn't exactly what he thought would be in the plan for his life. "I have to leave town tomorrow for about two weeks, I made these plans before, but when I get back, I would like to take you on a proper date. No best friends, no siblings, no family; just you and I. Either we can go out or you could come to my penthouse. It really doesn't matter to me."
For two weeks Ana was going to have to wait for the dream date between them. Biting back her words, she locked out eyes with him before wrapping her arms around his neck. "At least we have tonight…"
Dropping her book, Ana blushed realizing she was back in her house and not in the backyard with Christian. As she picked up her book, she noticed that the light was slowly dimming which meant that it was time to sit in her favorite spot in her house. One of the best steals of her home was that it was the last house on the block and sat on a small hill. In the living room, there was a window seat that you could look out into the sky and just enjoy the sight of the sun setting. Looking out into the sky, Ana decided she didn't really want to stay home tonight; the longer she sat here, as beautiful as the view was, she was getting restless waiting for Christian. Again, something she wasn't exactly used to. Grabbing her phone, she quickly typed both Mia's and Kate's numbers in, Dancing tonight? I need a night out. It's my first day off in two weeks.
It took 2.5 seconds for Mia's response. Haha, I'm assuming Christian still isn't home yet haha! We both saw the way you two were at the club…But yeah, I'm down, I'll text the club and put us on the list. It's late notice, but can we meet at your place and get ready? ~ Mia. Ana was beyond happy that she was already pretty close to Mia, no matter where things went with Christian, Mia, Kate, and herself would remain close. Though she was hopeful that things between Christian and her would be more than a random attraction, it would be genuine and… I'm wit Mia, totally down for a girl's night…As much as I enjoy time with El, I haven't seen either of you in a week. Mia, you'll love Ana's house. I live for her walk-in closet; between the endless clothes and powder room attached to it…If she and Christian get married, I'm telling you I'm buying off of her. Ana shook her head, there was no way she'd allow her mind to go there right now. It wasn't exactly what she wanted on her mind before their first date. Let's say twenty minutes and my brother can UBER us there (He owes us since we watched our nephew last week) and come back and pick us up. ;) See you both soon! – K. Ana shook her head before getting off her window seat and headed to her room upstairs to figure out the clothing situation for tonight.
A few hours later
Ana was staring at the two women as they downed another shot at the bar. She wasn't a huge Tequila drinker, the more time she seemed to spend time with Christian's sister the more she was becoming a tequila queen. The young event planner was extremely buzzed at this point and for the first time in a while, she was enjoying herself without a worry in her heart. "Okay, can you please explain to me how you and my brother haven't even kissed! I totally know he isn't shy about women…I caught a few of them years ago not to mention my mother's friend tried to get with him." Now if Ana was buzzed, well Mia was already hammered. Ana wouldn't admit about their almost kiss that Kate and Mia had ruined, wouldn't want to put a damper on the current buzz they were all feeling.
Taking the next shot out of Mia's hand, Ana laughed. "Well I don't know about your brother's past, but he's been the best kind of man with me. I mean we've only known each other for a short time. Maybe it is that we just keep missing one another…Maybe we're just waiting for the right moment." Ana felt a tingling feeling run up her spine. Never had she'd felt this before, not knowing what it meant she turned to look around; when she didn't see anyone familiar, she just shook it off. "Honestly Mia, your brother knows a bit about my past, he's probably just being nice to not pressure me." Though she was pulling out her hair at the thought they hadn't kissed yet. Was she sending off the wrong signals? Ugh, the idea was causing her to just want to drink more, but since her best friend and Mia are close to being wasted, she had to minimize how much she was drinking.
Kate took this distraction to order another round for the three girls. Kate was at first worried about how quick Ana was diving into something with Christian, from her own research Christian rarely was seen with anyone who wasn't family. She did hear though that he'd use to be into BDSM, but then again it was a rumor that didn't seem to have much of a paper trail. "Mia's right though Ana." Ana turned to face Kate who handed her a shot. "El says they have met none of the girls he was seeing. Maybe he's just unsure of what to do in situations like this." Ana just stared at her best friend before shrugging and knocking back the drink abandoning any chance at just staying buzzed. Kate was actually proud of how Ana seemed to be more open to having fun, usually, she would have to drag her out of the house and into the fun. Ana was very welcoming in the funhouse. "Okay let's pause on the drinks and get some dancing in." Ana laughed as she listened to the beat going on in the background of the song Want You to Want Me by Jason Derulo. Moving against her best friend Ana swayed to the music, letting the lyrics run through her mind as the beat ran through her body.
The more Ana seemed to move to the songs, the more intense the feeling of being watched was. As she moved her eyes were wandering around trying to pinpoint the viewer. After not being able to find anyone, Ana looked over at Kate. "I'm going to go get some air quick and be right back." Kate was hesitant to let Ana out of her sight but knew Christian's club had a pretty airtight security system. "Keep an eye on Mia, she going to start feeling those tequila shots probably the more she sweats." Both girls hugged before Ana made her way to the outside of the club. The second the cold breeze hit her skin, Ana's eyes closed and instantly she felt relaxed.
Once she was a bit cooler, Ana made her way back towards the bar in the club. "Ana?" Freezing, she knew that voice almost instantly; she hadn't heard the voice in over five months and it was honestly too soon.
"Jose, what are you doing here?" Ana's voice sharp with unresolved issues leaking out of it. She couldn't stand the man who stood there leaking out arrogance as they stood there facing one another.
A smirk graced his face as he leaned against the bar, he definitely hadn't changed in the last six months. "Well since it's a free country I'm at a club with my girlfriend. I think the better question is, how did they let you in?" Anastasia Steele wasn't an angry person, nor did she believe in fighting to get her point across, but staring at Jose made it so much harder to keep calm. "I'm honestly surprised to see you actually out, you were always too busy for me."
Turning to Alex the bartender, Ana ordered her three drinks; it truly wasn't easy to not flip Jose the bird currently. Alex was a doll though, he seemed to pick up on the anger that was rolling off of her. "I think you have it reversed; YOU were too busy fucking my friend/business partner; so maybe you should get your facts right before you through my business in my face." Ana hated that he was giving the ass the platform to get to her in any capacity.
Rolling his eyes, Jose looked over at the now texting bartender. "Are you going to just sit there and text or are you going to take my order. I know I'm not flashing tits like this one, but I can spend more money than she can."
To Alex's credit, he stayed as calm as his outside seemed to be and he wasn't the one to be pissed at the comment. Ana on the other hand was actually getting tired of Jose's presence and wished he was thrown the hell out of here. "Sorry Boss's orders you've got to go." Ana stared back at Alex confused. How did Christian know what was going on? Did Mia tell him they were there?
Jose was angry, you could see it from a mile away and this just pushed him to express it a little more than usual. "I don't care about who your boss is, I'm a paying customer and I demand that you get me a drink…now."
As Alex pushed back against whatever Jose was saying towards him, she felt that feeling again and it was extremely familiar. Before she turned around to see who it was, Christian wrapped his arms around her waist. She wouldn't admit it yet, but the second his arms were around her, she felt at home again. The feeling not only excited her but scared her at the same time. Ana found herself relaxing against his chest, a foreign feeling for sure, but welcoming. "Ana…" Christian whispered in her ear before kissing her neck softly.
"Christian…" She breathed out softly, her body was unknowingly relaxing by the second. "I thought you didn't get home for another two days." She was shocked to see him home so soon, though she was extremely happy to see him home.
The bar owner just kissed her forehead and smiled. "Well, I finished business early and was missing you much more than the desire to stay in New York." Christian watched as Jose rolled his eyes at the interaction. This was the man who had broken Ana's heart, the man who made it hard for him to gain her trustfully. It was like a deep surge of an unknown feeling hitting him at full blast. "Can I ask why you're causing a scene at my club?"
Jose stood there staring between Ana and the club owner, he couldn't believe his ex was sleeping around already. "Can I ask why you're touching her?" Jose had a surge of jealousy as he stared at the mystery man with his hands all over Ana.
Before Christian could say anything, Ana stood close as her eyes burned with frustration. "Jose it's none of your business, my life hasn't been for months. Remember you're the one that cheated on me so…" Ana shook her head before turning and facing Christian, she didn't want this moment to be ruined moment; Christian was here and that was all that mattered to her. It was like his emotions were flowing off of him and Ana could almost feel them. "Don't worry about him, please. He truly isn't worth it." Ana knew the game that Jose was playing; he knew who Christian was and would try to goat him into something and she wasn't about to let that happen.
Christian bent down once more and kissed Ana's forehead. With Ana in his arms, he felt at peace and for once he let someone change his whole mindset. Taking Ana's hand, Christian stared at Jose smirking at his angry scowl. "Get your drink and then my security team will be escorting you out of the club. You've verbally assaulted both Ms. Steele and my bartender, I will not stand for either nor will I allow you to make a scene at my establishment." Ana bit back her smile at how intensely protective Christian Grey was. Jose was in shock and reeked with annoyance with the way he was being treated. He'd see to it that Ana knew her place. He wasn't going to let some woman talk to him like that.
It didn't take long for Taylor and another of Christian's bodyguards to escort Jose and Leila out of the club. Now nothing stood in the way of spending the rest of the night dancing with Christian. It was like a weight was lifted off of her once Christian came in this evening. As the song changed, Christian's eyes glowed with excitement as Not Afraid Anymore began to play. Pulling Ana close, he could feel both their hearts beating with the beat of the song. Swaying with the music, the bodies melted together in sync as the world melted around them. And touch me like you never, push me like you never. Touch me like you never 'Cause I am not afraid; I am not afraid anymore. Christian's hands traveled down her sides as she moved her back against his chest. Her eyes closed and it felt like the music was telling Christian exactly how she was feeling in the moment. "You have no idea what you're doing to me." His whisper crawled up her skin as Ana's eyes closed enjoying the feelings she was experiencing. "If I wasn't so determined to have our first date, I would take you up to my private office and show you exactly how I want to touch you."
Maybe it was the drinks flowing through her, but Ana couldn't help but smirk as she turned to him; she really wished he would take her upstairs and have his way with her. Crawling underneath my skin, sweet talk with a hint of sin, begging you to take me. Devil underneath your grin, sweet thing, bet you play to win, heaven gonna hate me. God did she want to indulge in some sin with him. "It's probably what you're doing to me right now. We sure know how to put on a show." Ana's trance was broken as she felt her friends staring at the two of them. Ana wasn't afraid anymore, she welcomed whatever was happening between them. Their eyes hardly fell away from one another, even with the looks from around them, she was beyond entranced by the chemistry between them.
After what seemed like forever Ana could hear Kate laughing in the background. She knew they were getting a bit hot and heavy on the dance floor (not that she cared), Kate smirked as she tapped on Ana's shoulder. "I'm all for not giving much to what others think, but you two are getting really close to doing the deed and there are a lot of cameras here."
Christian sly smile graced his face as he licked her lips. "Good thing I own the club…"
A giggle escaped Ana's lips as she glanced around the two of them and saw what Kate was talking about. Kate shook her head before nodding to the exit. "Besides, Ethan is on his way back to pick us up. Before you ask why so soon, you two have been out here for a while and Mia is extremely intoxicated. If we don't leave now, poor money bags here is going to have my sister jailed for sexual harassment." All three looked over at Mia swaying her hips against some random person, whose girlfriend didn't look very pleased with the moment.
"I'll take care of Mia and get her home safely." Christian pulled away from Ana smiling, he was about to head over to grab his sister but turned back to Ana with a soft sigh. "I know our date is actually two days away, but I was wondering if we could get together tomorrow. Maybe a late lunch? We can go out or we could have lunch at one of our places. Get to know everything about one another without the nosy family that I have."
Both of them laughed, she knew he was backtracking to when they first tried to get to know one another. "Why don't you come over around 3, at that point, I'll feel a bit better nursing the hangover I'll probably have in the morning." Ana would have to get up early to make something good for lunch…maybe they should go over to his place. Ana shook her head at her inner thoughts playing with her different ideas of how tomorrow could go. Looking out into the crowd, Ana watched as Kate was trying to get Mia to come with her. "You should probably go and get your sister from Kate. I'm sure you remember two weeks ago when you had to drag both Kate and Mia out of here. Neither meltdown was enjoyable." Both laughed as Christian kissed her cheek softly, if Ana wasn't being held up by Christian, she was definitely going to fall and melt. This was exactly why tomorrow would be perfect, she wanted to just melt into the man here in front of her.
"Tomorrow…" Ana blushed before walking over towards Kate to meet her brother.
Ethan had just pulled onto Ana's street when he saw a few cop cars in front of her home. "What the Hell?!" The flashing cop car lights caused Ana to look up from her phone to see her windows were broken and the front door was slightly ajar. After parking the car quickly, Ethan, a now sober Kate, and Ana raced towards the once beautiful home.
As they got to the tape an officer stood there trying to block the nosey neighbors. "Sir, this is my house, what happened?"
"Well it would seem it was robbed and my boss was trying to find a way to get ahold of you."
The officer let the three of them in, Ana's eyes were clouded with tears. She was usually the strong one, but at the moment, she felt an overwhelming sensation of weakness. The closer she got to the house, the deeper the pain was going; how could this have happened? "My house…" Ana walked into her home scanning for something out of place but found nothing. More tears began to fall as she found her window glass everywhere. "Ethan…" Ana turned to the man who was like a brother to her, his own eyes reflecting the pain she was in. "I don't know what to say…I just-" She paused looking at her broken frames along her entertainment center. Every picture is broken; you could feel the rage coming from whoever broke in. "my home Ethan."
Ethan sighed sadly before wrapping Ana in his arms. He couldn't help but thank god for keeping Ana and Kate away from here. If it wasn't for Ana wanting to go out. Ethan couldn't finish the thought; shaking his head he refused to think that scary thought. "I'll call my friend and tomorrow we'll fix the windows and anything else that got destroyed. Little sis it'll be okay. For now, though, we have to get you and Kate back to her place. I'm going to call Meghan and let her know what's going on. I'll probably stay with you and Kate, I don't know who did this, but it worries me that this wasn't random." Ana just shook her head nervously; that was one of her own fears. It was scary to even consider this was someone she could've known. "Why don't you grab some clothes and whatever you need; I'm going to talk to the lead detective to see if they need us to stay for any reason."
Ana could only nod as he released her slowly. She was feeling so lost and alone as she stood in the living room. A deep sigh escaped her lips as she walked around to each room making sure that everything was accounted for and for the most part it was in each of her spare rooms. It wasn't until she got to her room that she felt like every ounce of air was sucked out of her. Her bed was shredded and stained with red paint; the worst part was that across the wall behind her bed was spray-painted 'Whore'. There was so much rage that went into this sort of damage and it killed her to think of the person who could've been responsible for this. She didn't know she was even crying until two strong hands wrapped around her and snapped her out of the trance. Ana already knew who it was, she just let out a sad sigh. "How did you find out?" She asked trying to compose herself.
Christian just kissed the top of her head, he himself was trying to steady the thoughts that were going through his head. Just in the short amount of time, he's known Ana, she had already wrapped him around her fingers. He shuttered to think what would've happened if she'd been home. "Kate called El since she didn't have my number. She was scared and it looks like there was a reason for that." His eyes surveyed the room, he couldn't believe the state of her room; it was as if it was trolling with anger. "El called me as he was rushing out the door trying to get here for Kate. Taylor got me here as fast as he could. Kate's brother said the cops got a call from one of your neighbors, they were worried you were inside."
Ana noticed as he spoke his voice broke. She could tell he was genuinely scared for her. Trying to keep herself composed she leaned against his chest, she could hear his heart beating fast. "I'm here though, that is all that matters. I just…This was my home. I bought it…I own it. I come home feeling so excited about life only to have it crushed right in front of me. I don't know what emotions to feel." Christian listened trying to figure out how to find the person who did this and help Ana feel safe again. There was something about this that didn't sit well with him, he just couldn't put his finger on the feeling. "I need to pack up some clothes…Ethan is going to have friends come take a look and see how much it's going to cost me to fix everything. Until then I need to stay at Kate's; I just feel bad because Ethan is worried about leaving us alone so he's staying at Kate's with us." She pulled herself out of Christian's arms and headed for the walk-in closet. Christian wasn't about to admit he was jealous of Kate's brother, but he didn't want another man to take Ana away from him before he got a chance to show her, he wanted more with her.
"Well, that was kind of him. I'm sure El could stay with you guys." If it was up to him, he'd feel better if Ana stayed with him. She could stay in one of the guest rooms at the penthouse, she didn't have to stay in his bed…even if he wanted to sleep next to her more than anything.
Ana was trying so hard to keep her mind and emotions in check. She didn't know if she could really handle hearing Elliot and Kate going in the house. "Ethan already cleared it with Meghan and I think it would make her feel better if we had Ethan with us. Plus, Ethan already called my dad to tell him what's going on. The only reason he wouldn't drive down was that Ethan assured him that he'd stay with us."
"Who's Meghan?" Christian attempted to sound as even as he could, he wouldn't let on that he was happy Ethan wasn't interested in Ana.
Ana grabbed the last dress out of her closet before heading back out. "Uh, his wife." She didn't think much of the question as she went into her nightstand to grab anything she needed for work. "She would've been here, but they have a two-year-old and this wasn't exactly the best place to bring him." She explained as she dug through the drawer looking for something, her eyes were laced with panic as she continued to look.
Christian watched as the panic changed to frustration. "What's wrong?"
Ana slammed the drawer shut as a fresh set of tears fell down her cheeks. She couldn't believe that this was happening to her. It was really pissing her off knowing that of all things to go missing this would be. "My dad gave me a necklace for my birthday a few years back and I don't wear it often, but of all things, this is something I cannot replace." This extremely important to her, it wasn't something someone could easily buy, Ray had her grandparents ring made into a necklace for her to keep. "Maybe Ethan was right…this wasn't a burglary. There are high-value things in my house and they take a necklace from my drawer."
Christian pulled Ana back into his arms, he was going to have every security he had on this and vowed he'd find who did it. "We'll find it. For now, though, let's go. We'll let the police do their job and you should probably get some rest." Ana felt her heart skip at how kind and caring Christian was being. He just seemed to want to be here and help. It wasn't out of any obligation since they weren't an official couple, but out of pure care. They both left the room and headed outside to find Kate and Ethan standing talking to Elliot about the upcoming could of days. "Hey…" Christian stopped in the doorway, he knew it was forward, but at this point, he didn't care. His nerves were getting the best of him, he was scared of letting her out of his sight not knowing who did this and if they were still out there watching. "Could I stay with you tonight or maybe you could just stay at my place. I won't be able to sleep not knowing if you're safe or not."
Ana stared at Christian, she didn't really didn't know how to feel or what to think about it. She knew that Kate would prefer if she'd stayed with her, but on the other hand, she couldn't stand to be alone right now. Kate wouldn't give the comfort she was currently needing. Running her fingers through her brunette locks, she let out a settling sigh. "Why don't you come over to Kate's…I don't think she'll mind; I just know she'll prefer it and I don't feel up to caring about arguing with her tonight." Ana knew Kate would feel better about her staying at her house after everything. Plus, all of this is overwhelming to Ana and she just wanted to get through to tomorrow.
"I'd go anywhere you are Ana."
So the break-in happened! Who do you think it was? Whatcha think so far? I know it's been a minute since I last updated, but like I said I will be updating a lot more that things have slowed down in my personal life. Please Read and Review. Keep an eye out for chapter 7 coming sometime this week. The next chapter will be the first date + a few one on one moments between Christian and Ana. We'll see a tad bit of drama next chapter! Enjoy!
