Hey everyone I'm back! Sorry, It's been hard with Covid and lockdowns. Unfortunately, my family and I caught it and it's been very draining to focus on it. But I'm back and ready to continue this love story! I do not own anything but the storyline!

A Week After the break-in

Kate's fingers raked through her crazy blonde hair. "Anabanana I know I promised to help you, but you and I both know I am not the organizing kind. I do not know how you and Emma can just sit here and stare at all these papers all day." Ana laughed as she shuffled around the papers, looking for the right caters for an upcoming wedding. "I mean, here I am staring at these pages; they make zero sense. Don't you have Brittany your assistant does this stuff?"

Ana took her glasses off to rub her eyes; she was wondering why Kate even offer to help her. "Brittany has a family thing and I've given her the week off and if I remember right, you volunteered to help. I don't recall asking you, Kate." Ana twisted as she faced Kat. It was quite interesting to watch Kate trying to read the notes Brittany and Emma both had taken. Weddings weren't the easiest to plan, especially doing it alone, Brittany out of town and Emma finding out she's pregnant, they left Ana to keep everything organized and on time. She had others in the company, but Brittany was her key assistant/ future planner and Emma was Ana's number two; she usually was the one who would be the person to lean on during this time. "Kate, I can do this myself; I honestly just needed help to organize these files and calling a few places. I've been away from work dealing with the house and stuff. I'm behind and overwhelmed by everything going on."

Kate watched as she finally saw a crack in Ana's wall. For the last week, everyone was waiting for Ana to show something other than her usual sweep it under the rug kind of personality. Ana finally admitting to someone that it overwhelmed her made Kate feel guilty about leaving Ana the previous night to stay with Elliot. Something told her that Ana was hiding how scared and upset she truly upset about everything. "Ana…"

Running her fingers through her hair, Ana shook her head. She wanted to avoid the conversation that Kate was attempting to have. She was using all her extra energy to keep herself from breaking; she couldn't handle omitting any more energy. "Look if you don't want to help then don't. I have enough work here to keep me company."

Kate sighed before looking at her frustrated best friend, the last thing she wanted was to leave Ana alone. The blonde quickly took the papers from Ana's hand, then sat them down on the table. "So, what really is bugging you? You are to use to doing two weddings, a charity event, and a birthday party by yourself when Leila was around being lazy; I know it's something else bothering you so out with it." Kate knew her best friend better than anyone else and could read her like a picture book. "Talk to me, Ana…"

Ana put her glasses back on before looking at Kate. Ana was used to Kate being able to see through the wall, Kate always said there were windows in Ana's walls that only she could see. "I don't-"

Kate took her best friend's hand in hers before squeezing it. "Yes, you do." She paused stroking Ana's hand; she was trying to find a simple way to get through to her. "You already admitted you're scared and overwhelmed. I can only imagine what is going on in your head and I'm so sorry that this has happened to you, but we're all here for you and we can help you get through it. But Ana, let us in… especially Christian. I never thought I would see the day I would defend a man, but he cares a lot about you. If he was the ass people seem to put out there, why would he have spent the last week in my three-bedroom house when Elliot says he his own enormous house? Answer you, Ana… You are very much worth it to him."

"What if he ends up being exactly what Jose was?" Ana leaned against her best friend's shoulder, trying to compose her own thoughts again. It wasn't easy to admit how fucked up in the head she was after Jose's relationship.

"Well, if he turns into an ass, he must deal with what Jose had to." Ana looked up to see a smirking blond. "Let's just say he will not have kids soon. Best you don't know the entire story." Kate's eyes found Ana's as she let out a deep sigh. She hated to see the internal battle inside of Ana. They plagued her eyes with thoughts. "Look, Ana, Christian isn't Jose. He cares about you. Like a lot girl. Even if it's only been a few weeks of seeing one another, you two seem very in tune with one another. I haven't seen you this happy since your mom left, and that's saying something. Instead of running away from this possible happiness, you need to embrace it. Take a chance on Christian, not to say I won't kill him if he hurts you, but I just think it's time to stop doing things how you used to. Jose was a shit relationship anyone will tell you, but letting Christian in isn't such a bad idea Ana, he could surprise you."

Ana couldn't deny Kate's assessment, Christian really didn't want to leave her after everything. He'd done work from Kate's house and when Ana had to go into the office, he went home to get stuff in order but left his best security guard with Ana for protection. It was hard to just not be filled with worry since SOMEONE broke into her house without a second thought. "I know you're right… And we both know I won't admit that most times when it comes to you." Laughing, the best friends began finishing Ana's work. Ana's head ached, craving to be done before Christian came over for their big date.

Looking at the papers in front of her, Ana rubbed her eyes before leaning back on her couch. Ana had been trying to prove to everyone, she was okay even though deep down inside she was waiting, nervous as all hell being back home. The only reason the last few hours had been without issue was that she had Kate there to keep her company. Yet the second Kate left to go check in on Ethan and Meghan, they left Ana to overthink and worry about how to feel completely normal again in her own home.

Ana took in a deep sigh before heading towards the kitchen, it flooded her mind with rapid thoughts of the past week. From the break into how close she was becoming with Christian, even without a first date, it was a lot for her. But it was mostly the fact that all these feelings were new to her. She was so used to fending for herself since the day she meant Jose, not that she needed a man to help her, but Christian made her feel safe and content with life. Strange, but welcomed. Moving to her sink, she passed the flowers Christian had sent her this morning. He was giving her space but still wanted to make sure Ana knew he was thinking of her. This was her dream guy, he cared about her; he wanted her just for her; it wasn't easy to find men like that in many places. Wrapping her arms around herself, Ana couldn't help but bite her lip. The memory of his tender heart replayed in her mind.

A few hours after the club

She couldn't sleep, Ana knew she needed to; it just felt like the weight of everything was in her heart. Her eyes were closed and yet her mind was racing; she didn't know what to do or say at this moment. With a deep sigh, Ana tried to listen to the heartbeat below her ear. She didn't want to move in case Christian was sleeping; the last thing she wanted was to cause someone else to be awake like her. "I can almost hear your thoughts rolling off of you. I know you're not asleep." Christian couldn't sleep after the night's events and be waiting for Ana herself to admit that she was awake. Ana tried to keep her eyes closed, in her head she couldn't exactly relax since she was trying to figure out who did it. Ana was exhausted and overwhelmed at the same time; the only saving grace was the fact that Christian was here and letting her just lay here. "Ana, you can talk to me."

She knew she could, but she didn't really know where to start. How does one react to dealing with this type of thing? "I don't know. I'm trying to figure out how to put these feelings into words. To most people, it is just stuff, but I worked so hard to make that place home. After everything that happened with Jose, I just wanted to feel safe and happy again." Ana closed her eyes as he stroked her brunette hair softly. Christian knew what a weight she was currently carrying and wanted her to know he was there for her; he would do just about anything for her. "You know, it scares me letting you in," Ana admitted after a few silent minutes. Looking up at him, their eyes connected and Ana just sighed. "I don't want to rush things because truly these last few weeks just talking to you has been amazing. I just feel like I can be myself around you."

Christian didn't stop playing with her hair, it seemed to be the thing to soothe her through her words. Ana was someone even he didn't see coming into his life as she did. "I never get close to people…" Ana couldn't express how surprised she was to hear his voice sound so sad; in the short time they'd known each other, he'd never sounded so broken before. "They adopted me at a young age and had a hard time interacting with people, even El and Mia; it wasn't easy for Grace or Carrick either they tried everything to make it easier for me. Long story short, when I was finally in college, I figured out I had looked. I'm ashamed to say it, but I use it, I wanted to get my way; so why not? The worst part is when people found out I had money, it made it hard for me to find out who wanted my friends and who wanted shiny Christian Grey of the famous Grey family. I used it for some time, but it got old pretty quickly for me. I slept around when I wanted to and just focused on my family and building Grey Enterprise. I did a lot I'm not proud of Ana. I never thought I deserved anything good in my life."

Ana twisted her body so she could get a better look at him. There was something about this moment with him that made her look at him not as girls fell head over heels for, but a man who was so lost. He had the same look she had after her relationship with her mom went downhill, the look of pain was clear as day. "I get it, Christian, trust me; ask Kate there are very few people I let in. To be honest, we all have done things in the past we are not proud of." She touched his cheek softly tracing his stubbled face. For the first time, Ana's fears of the future disappeared. Looking into Christian's pained eyes showed her exactly what she was missing. "You don't have to explain it to me."

Christian shrugged as he touched her face gently. She obviously didn't know the extent of the feelings she opened up. "It wasn't till that day at the lake did I realize that all of those moments...my pointless past meant nothing anymore. Even if I never saw you again, I knew I had to just try. Try to be a better man than I was before." Christian couldn't believe his luck, even more, he wouldn't waste it at all. He was sure in his mind, wanting the two of them to become more than just what they were now. Running his fingers along her cheek, Christian smiled. "Let's not sit and overthink things right now, let's just get some sleep and relax. Kate's brother told me he's having friends over to fix up the windows and help repaint your room." Reality hit her as she sunk down back to Christian's chest. She didn't want to bother with arguing. Something told her she wouldn't win at all. Ana closed her eyes and tried to remind herself that she was safe in Christian's arms. "Goodnight, my sweet firefly." He kissed her forehead before attempting to sleep himself.

~Knock Knock~

Closing her eyes, she refocused on reality what she wouldn't give to be in Christian's arms again. Moving to the door, she really wasn't expecting anyone till later when Christian had planned to come over. Running her fingers through her hair, she peaked through the peephole. Christian was standing there with a nervous smile on his face. Biting her lip, she looked down at her clothes, Ana was wearing yoga pants and a workout shirt; her hair wasn't ready, nor were her contacts in yet. Quickly she put her hair up and tried to not freak out about her appearance. Opening the door, Christian's smile brought bright fresh air to her. "Mr. Grey I could've sworn you had a meeting today?" Ana opened the door wider for him.

Christian smirked before kissing Ana's forehead as he walked inside. "Well, I did, but it was over early so I wanted to come to see you." Ana rolled her eyes before locking up the door and leading him into the living room. She was sure Christian was concerned about the last week and her being alone now.

Stepping in front of him, Ana hurried all her work papers into two piles before turning to him. "I look like a slob I worked from home today and it seems I couldn't really focus much or look like an actual human." Christian knew why and chose not to push too much. The last thing he wanted was to come off overly protective in the early stages of their relationship. "So tonight, what were you thinking about doing?" Tonight, was their third date, Ana was looking forward to doing something other than coffee or painting her bedroom like the first two dates. Though she was lucky that this amazing man was so accommodating during this past week. She was beyond nervous that all this drama and craziness would drive him away, yet here he stood; not just that he was still searching for the intruder and her necklace. He was truly something. He made it easy to ignore the voice in her head telling her to slow down.

Christian waited until Ana sat down next to him before tucking a loose strand behind her ear. "Well, actually I was thinking we could hang out at my place. I thought we could uh cook together, maybe watch a movie after dinner." Not that Christian didn't want to go to a restaurant with Ana, but she didn't seem like the woman who needed fancy stuff or wanted things to be so extravagant. It truly warmed his heart that they could fall into a simple but amazing routine together. Christian's own family couldn't believe how quick things were going between them; it had only been about a month and half of knowing one another, but it felt like a lifetime. Christian couldn't cook the best, but he could follow easy instructions. "You'll even get to see my fresh remodeled library."

This man knew the best way to suck her in. Books and cooking were the keys to Ana's heart, and he knew it. "You drive a hard bargain, Mr. Grey."

Christian could see the blush of her cheeks flare as her lips formed a grin. "I'll even throw in your favorite tea that is currently at my house waiting for you." Christian watched as she pretended to ponder the idea.

Ana leaned against the couch, still holding his hand. "Are we going now or are you planning on hanging here while I finish working?" Both their eyes found the pile of paperwork in front of her.

Christian shrugged; he was trying to feel out how he could convince her to stay over for a few days without seeming too much. "I was actually thinking you could uh take your work with you and stay over for a bit… maybe a few days." He rubbed the back of his head, trying to smooth out his own nerves. This man was one of the best CEOs out there, a former ladies man and a public speaker, but for Anastasia Steele, he was a bumbling loser. How could this woman be so powerful, but ever so innocent in the same breath? "What I mean is… I was thinking we could hang out these next few days." Christian laced his hand with hers, attempting to calm himself down, which was slightly helping. "I mean, you work from home and I got used to sleeping over with you. Honestly, I would bring my work here, but I want to show you my home since you haven't seen it yet."

Christian attempted to bat his eyes like a schoolgirl trying to convince her teacher to give her a treat early. Ana looked at Christian and even though a piece of her wanted to argue, she thought back to her conversation with Kate earlier in the day. She had to stop running and attempting to find all excuses to avoid the connection she was already feeling with Christian. The outside world would probably think she was moving fast, but it didn't matter. "I mean, since you asked so nicely, I guess I could use a few more days away from the house. But no distracting me during the day. I have to still work from home. Emma and Brittany have taken some vacation days and I don't trust the other coworkers with taking any of the meetings I have." Christian nodded in agreement before pulling her into his arms just to bury his face in Ana's messy hair. Ana could tell that the last week had taken a toll on not just her, but also Christian. A piece of her welcomed the thought of not being alone in the house again; it just felt weird after knowing someone had been in here and did what they did to her home. It kept her awake the day before she came back and again the previous night when she told everyone she was fine when in reality she tossed and turned most of the night.

Christian could feel Ana stiffen up, so he pulled away and looked at her with a soft smile. He just wanted selfishly to have one night where he wasn't worried about her being alone as he attempted to sleep. "If you can pack up now, we can head over to the house as soon as your ready." Squeezing her hand, Christian saw Ana's beautiful eyes light up. A sight that he welcomed after all the stress the last week had given her. "Someone will monitor the house while you're over. And you can obviously come home whenever you want to, I just think a new set of scenery would help you."

Ana just rolled her eyes at his reply. "You don't have to sell it anymore… I already told you I'd come. It just threw me off." Ana admitted before heading down the hall to her room to grab a few things. "There should be a big paper clip next to each pile, could you bundle them up and put them in the bag next to the couch?" She yelled from the back room as she picked up a few pairs of jeans, shorts, and t-shirts. She didn't hesitate following Christian, even if she feared their future together, she welcomed the feeling he seems to always bring on.

Christian stood at the small fireplace and looked over the pictures she had resting on the mantle. As he studied each picture, it hit Christian with uncertainty. He had a past he was avoiding; he was concerned it wasn't far enough in the past for Ana to understand. Grabbing one picture, Christian traced the smile she had with Kate, Kate's brother, another woman, and a little boy. He wanted to be the one to bring that smile to her face, to see the worry escape even from her eyes. All these emotions were unknown to him, he was so used to being closed off; sheltering himself from any possibility of hurt or human connection. He was used to just relying on his family, to have them there to support and be enough. Yet, the second he met Ana, everything changed. He was no longer plagued by a past; to Ana, he was just a man running along the lake, a stranger turned friend. She was bringing out a softer side of Christian and he didn't mind. Do I even deserve this chance? Will she even want me after she knows the truth? His mind questioned every ounce of confidence he thought he had.

Christian placed the picture back up on the mantle. A soft sigh escaped his lips. "You're thinking really hard, Mr. Grey." Christian turned to see Ana dressed in Yoga pants and a sweatshirt, a smile ran across her face as calmness hit him. "That picture is from Alex's first birthday. Poor Meghan, worked a double the night before then stayed up to bake David's birthday cake; as soon as they snapped the picture, she and David fell asleep on the couch." Ana smiled at the memory, in the back of her mind she wondered how Christian would do around David. That thought quickly turned to curiosity about his feelings towards kids.

"That was the kid you were watching why I was out-of-town right?" He asked.

Ana nodded with a smile. "Ethan and Meghan are both in jobs where they miss one another. Ethan is a cop and Meghan is a nurse, they hardly get the time off so I took David with me for a few days." Ana loved her 'nephew' especially all the time she was spending with him since Jose was out of her life. He was not a kid person. "So hopefully you do not mind sometimes I volunteer to babysit him, especially when they need a date night/day." Ana shrugged before grabbing her work bag that Christian had put her papers in her bag. She had to work on her next big client this week, and it would nice to get out of the place that made her most anxious. "Okay, I have everything, but it will only be a few days because I don't want to overstay my welcome." It was Christian's turn to roll his eyes at her silly reply. Ana didn't give him time to reply heading out towards the door. After triple-checking the locks, Ana and Christian headed to his car, which didn't have Taylor in the front. "What no driver today Mr. Grey?" Ana teased, putting all her things in the car.

"He and my housekeeper were getting the house ready. Usually, I would have us stay at the penthouse, but I want to show you a minor project I've been working on for a while. It's out on the water in Medina." Ana looked at Christian as he began driving off towards the freeway.

Ana watched outside as they talked among themselves. She was enjoying just seeing this carefree side of Grey, something she knew wasn't normal for others to get to see. "So I was wondering, what did you have planned for tonight?" Ana was curious about how much time she was going to have to get work done. Part of her was debating on just postponing the work until tomorrow since both she and Christian would be working.

"Well, when we get to my home, I'm going to show you where everything is and you'll be able to take over one office to get done whatever work you need to get done, then around 6 I would get ready and I'll take you somewhere special." Christian planned on taking Ana on the water with his boat. Kate had told him that Ana was feeling a lot since the break-in and he wanted to do something special for both of them, plus he wanted to spend one-on-one time with no one coming in or needing her attention. "Unless you want to do something else."

Ana just shook her head and watched as they drove over the bridge. She'd been to the area they were in once before for one of her first weddings for work. Ana just loved the area they were heading towards, right on the beautiful water. Her lips curled as she remembered a trip with Ray to California when she was younger. "When I was younger, my dad Ray took me down to California and we hardly left the beach because it was like heaven being on the water. Honestly, it's why I think I stayed in Seattle. It's such a random thing to say, but it just brought back the memories and it just came out of my mouth." Christian smiled as Ana just erupted into laughter, it was easily one of his favorite sounds. Ana bit her lip nervously as she stared at Christian, "What?" She asked, raking her fingers through her hair.

Christian just smiled and shrugged, "You just have such a beautiful laugh, I never thought the sound would bring me this much joy." In the corner of his eye, he noticed Ana's paused look as if trying to figure out what to say. "I've told you before Ana, I've never let myself get close to anyone besides my family… I'm not a saint, but spending this much time or putting in a lot of effort into a potential relationship wasn't a top priority." Christian could almost see the gears turning in her mind as his own was cautiously watching every reaction Ana had; the more he watched, the more he became nervous about telling her the complete truth of his secret past. Christian just smiled and took her hand to his lips before squeezing it. "But you are the exception, Ana. I've never wanted to be this close with someone until I met you. I would never change that either." Ana squeezed his hand tightly before looking at the window, her hand never leaving him, and honestly, she hoped it never would.

It took another thirty minutes before they arrived at the gated house. Ana was at a loss for words as she stared at the very large two-story stone house. It looked like a mini castle that she didn't think she'd fit in. "This looks like an enormous minor project, Mr. Grey. I can only imagine what the inside looks like. I pegged you for a three-story kinda guy." Christian was about to say something when he realized she was joking.

"I promise it's not a museum either." He smiled, taking her two bags with him as he held the door open for her. "Only Grace, El, and Carrick know about this place. I wanted it to be a new fresh start, and I wanted you actually to be the first person to experience it done." Ana nodded as she entered the house, it was breathtaking. "I figured this was a time out we both needed after last week." Christian put her bags on the floor before taking her hand. He knew Taylor and Gail would put away all the stuff in his room and the office he had set up for her, so he didn't want to waste time not showing her the grounds. Taking her hand, Christian led her through the bottom level of the house. "Grace made sure that Gail had the best home appliances possible for me. I don't cook, but this was for me somehow."

Ana leaned against his arm, giggling at the revelation. "I could always teach you. I used to have to cook for Ray." Ana's eyes lifted to his as she realized she commented. She was shocked that she even would consider a plan after her earlier discussion with Kate. She was quite proud that she was actually thinking that far. "I mean whenever we hang out here or my place…" Ana bit her lip nervously, walking into the vast kitchen; this was exactly how she wanted her kitchen to look when she started remodeling it. The white quartz countertops and black wood cabinets just looked perfectly against the light wood floor. Double sinks and the stove looked like they took it out of a home magazine with its beautiful, flawless stainless steel design; what made the stove even better was the fact that it had a two oven compartment. Ana couldn't keep herself from thinking of all the baking she could do. As Christian went into deep details, Ana's free hand traced the beautiful work that he had done on the island in the middle of the kitchen. She was beyond excited to see the rest of the house and grounds.

As they moved about the house, Ana's eyes continued to grow with excitement knowing she was lucky enough to enjoy this with Christian; she couldn't get over the pride and love Christian already had for his beautiful home. As they walked along the grey walls of the house, Ana smiled at the uncharacteristic approach he made to this home; she didn't expect some features but welcomed them as a change. Ana expected it to look like how his penthouse was described to her by El and Mia, but no this place looked like a family home that had more than enough room for an enormous family. Approaching upstairs, Christian showed off the four large rooms on one side of the house; they all looked about the same except two of them shared a bathroom where the other two were closer to the upstairs bathroom. "So, for now, this is a temporary office space for you and me. I plan on relocating our offices downstairs…" Ana looked over at Christian, who was mumbling along about his plans. She wasn't sure by how much his forwardness took her aback; he had plans for her to be around for a while, but how did he know they would work out? Because honestly, Ana was hopeful, but still the fear was present. "And then that room will connect to the library with a separate office area for you; it will lead to the garden and lake in case you need to get out of the stuffiness of the library."

The brunette turned to face Christian, her soft hands traced his chin while shaking her head. "Why don't we get through these next couple of days before we rearrange this already beautiful home. You realize we've only actually have known each other about a month and a half. You don't know if you'll get bored, Mr. Grey."

Christian just shook his head before wrapping his arms around Ana's waist, their eyes locked with one another. "Anastasia, I am a man who knows what he wants. Ask anyone, they have never known me to wait for the things that make me happy. But let us pocket this conversation for later, you have work to see to and I have to make sure I set our date upright." Leaning down, Christian's lips ghosted across Ana's forehead. "Everything is ready for you here. The room next door is my bedroom, I will lay an outfit out for you on the bed at five-thirty….Shower and dress and meet me in the kitchen, I will show you the best part of the house after you're done." Ana pulled away as she realized they had placed her work neatly next to Apple's latest computer, a remote, and her actual laptop. Christian truly thought of everything.

It didn't take Long for Christian to finish helping Gail with the lights he wanted along the sidewalk leading to the dock. He got lost looking at the lights, honestly, he couldn't believe the effort he was currently putting in for their third date. The funny part of the whole thing was the fact that all he wanted was to lay next to her tonight. He would not tell her about his past tonight; he needed more time to figure things out completely and prep himself for her reaction.

Three Days Ago

"You know you're going to have to tell her, right?" Christian glanced at his brother as he sat across from Christian at their favorite restaurant. "If you don't tell her, she'll find out and… Chirs, Kate has told me how bad it was with Jose. The lies he told her broke her. Just think how bad it's going to be when she finds out about you keeping this from her." Christian already felt bad and now sitting here with Elliot wasn't helping one bit to ease it. "Distracting her will only go so far, Chris."

"How do you suppose I should let her know that I've slept with Leila before? Or that I met her at a BDSM club? I don't see that going over very well since Jose left her for Leila." Only the Greys' knew about Christian's Dom past. He wasn't ashamed about it, but he didn't want his business affected by his old taste. Things had changed once he got out of the scene, especially with his dating life. After months of therapy, he desired what his parents had. "El, I will tell her, but after the break-in…I think I should wait till we catch whoever did it. I am going to take her to the house."

"Christian, you can't hide her from danger. Kate is sure it was Jose, and he isn't that dangerous." Christian just looked down at his scotch, he wasn't convinced that it was Jose; something was telling him it was someone else. Leila could've done it… "What?"

"Mr. Grey?" Christian snapped out of his thoughts to see Taylor standing in front of him. "Sir?" Taylor looked down at his watch before staring at his boss. "Gail just wanted you to know that it's almost six. She also wanted to give you a heads up that Ana just finished her shower and was getting ready."

"Thank you, that will be all for tonight. For the next few days, Gail has off. Why don't you just find out who can take over for a few days and the two of you go and relax? I want to spend time with Ana and I just…" Christian didn't know how to talk when it came to Ana, who seemed to just get him. This was their first real date and Christian wanted to make Ana feel special as well as attempt to show her the real him before he told her the truth of his past.

Taylor hadn't ever seen his boss like this, so determined to make something other than a business deal. "Gail and I will remain on the grounds and I'll have my team keep an eye on everything." Christian raked his fingers through his hair as he tried to keep his usual demeanor. But the nerves were suddenly hitting him out of nowhere. "Gail unpacked Ms. Steele's bag into your room at your request; also the security room is up and running with a passcode ready."

Christian nodded, he was thankful that Taylor and Gail knew how to work with him without questioning things he wasn't prepared for. "Go ahead and relax for a while, I'm going to go get Ana for our date. Wish me luck…"

"Good Luck Sir." With a stern smile, Taylor left Christian to double-check everything he wanted to get done before Ana came down. Christian went to the kitchen to grab the wine he wanted with two glasses for them. Christian never thought he'd find someone like Ana to enter his life; honestly, he always thought he'd remain single throughout his life, settling down wasn't exactly a priority. But meeting Ana simply restarted his own thinking of his future. This woman literally jogged into his life leaving a footprint in his heart. Shaking his head, Christian hated how sappy he was becoming out of the blue. This woman was breaking his stoic personality and making him become a softer human…

"You look so lost?" Christian blinked as reality set in and his focus was on Ana. "Everything okay?" She asked as Christian looked over her beautiful form. She wore a beautiful red knee-length dress with black flats, Christian could hardly speak. "Too much for our low-key first real date?"

Christian just shook his head and moved to wrap his arms around her waist. A magnetic force constantly pulled them together without a second thought. "You Ms. Steele look breathtaking." Moving his hand, he softly cupped her face before leaning down and placing a deep passionate kiss on her lips. This was going to be the best first date.
