As of today, I declare the journey of these four particular individuals to be over. Yes, the journey ends long before it should have- we just started to get into the First Singularity, didn't we? But like Samuel Beckett says in Waiting for Godot, "That's just how it is on this bitch of an Earth."
Yeah, this might be sad news for a lot of you all. I'm putting this story on indefinite hiatus- maybe go as far as to say cancelled, if it hasn't been obvious from lack of updates. I hit a writer's block early on for this particular story and then life happened, and well, here I am. Jeez, this probably all sounds like excuses. Personally I'll admit that this story and its cast was a lot more than I could chew as just one (admittedly disorganized) person. But I'm not dead, I got something else in store for the future! I deeply apologize if you were waiting for more tales from our stooge quartet. No really, I'd be break-dancing and slamming my face on the floor in excessive apology. And with that, I wish that my next project can provide the same amount of joy this story had at first- if not more- to you all and me.
