Disclaimer: Many of the characters and ideas have been taken from a multitude of books, movies and TV shows that I have read or watched. However, the way these ideas have been put together is completely my own way of doing things and is my own writing.

It had been a horrible summer for Harriet and as the train sped along the train tracks she thought about what had happened. It started off with Harriet getting invited to go to the Quidditch world cup with her two best friends Ron and Hemione. It had gone great up until the end when death eaters arrived and trashed the place and sent up the dark mark. Once that dilemma was over Harriet instead of staying at Ron's house until the start of the school year went back home to the academy. The academy was a house that trains people to become assassins. She was sent there after her parents died when she was one along with her six brothers but had to see her Aunt, Uncle, and cousin who didn't want them, every year for two weeks. At the academy, Harriet found that she was a mutant (a person with cool powers). She had to watch as her entire kind was tortured and killed and she was given a cuff that kept her from using her powers. Harriet, however, managed to pick the lock and figured out that she could teleport to different universes. She had found one that had mutants like her and she was about to go visit it again. When she got there she was captured by a guy named William Stryker who despised mutants and wanted them gone but he wanted their abilities. They experimented on Harriet and put the strongest metal on their earth into her bones and made her 3 retractable claws into adamantium. Harriet then broke free and went home to find out she had to participate in the Hunger Games again. Her best friend Logan decided to grab onto her at the last second and teleport with her. When they got there they not only made Harriet go in them they made Logan as well.

When Harriet found out that her best friend was in the games she was furious but decided that their best way of getting sponsors was to act calm and collected. Once inside the arena, they grabbed their stuff and went to hide. Logan let Harriet do all the planning of how they would win as she had already been in them once before when she was nine. When she was nine Harriet found this universe by mistake and thought it was cool up until the point at which she was made to participate in the games. Harriet won these games by hiding until the very end and everyone had died. They made it through the week without anyone spotting them as they hid in trees and shot them with arrows before they could fight back. They survived on the odd animal they could see and hunt and lots of berries and fruit. There was the odd time when they nearly ate nightlock berries which are poisonous. On one particularly cold night in the arena, an announcement was made over the loudspeaker saying that any two tributes from the same district may win together. This news made Harriet smile for the first time in about a month as it took away the dread of what would happen at the end of it all and who would win out of the two. When the time came and they were announced the winners of the Hunger Games another announcement over the loudspeaker said that there could be only one winner. At this news, Harriet started to pace back and forth and they spent days fighting off whatever came at them to make one winner all while fighting about who was going to survive. After about a week of this the maker of the games President Snow had had enough and ordered the peacekeepers to kill one of them they managed to grab both of them and make sure Harriet's cuff was still on firmly as they made her wear it in the games. The peacekeepers started talking into their walkie talkies and asked which one of the two were going to die.

For the first time in a while, all Harriet felt was fear. Fear that she would have to watch as her best friend was killed. Fear that she would have to tell Logan's twin brother that he had been killed and wasn't coming back. Then, even more, fear came. What if I was killed? How would Logan get back home without her magic to teleport him?. Then Harriet realised how quiet it had gotten. She noticed as one of the peacekeepers took out a knife that was hidden in his pocket and started walking towards Logan. Harriet fought against the people holding her with all the effort she could muster and when she finally broke free it was too late. They had slit Logan's throat and all she could do was stand and watch in shock as her best friend fell to the ground. When Harriet had regained all sense of where she was and what was happening she ran to Logan and put his head on her lap. Logan looked up at Harriet and said "Don't leave me here alone" and Harriet replied with "I'll never let you go". As Logan bled to death in Harriet's arms and took his last breath Harriet lost control of her powers that even the cuff could not stop them and froze everything and everyone within 100 metres of her. Harriet grabbed the knife that was used to kill Logan and managed to pick the lock to her cuff and teleported her and Logan back home to the academy. As soon as she got there she went to her room and wrote a letter telling Merlin — who is Logan's twin brother — what had happened. Harriet teleported to Merlin's universe and left the note for him to find as it was too hard for her to face him while covered in Logan's blood.

If I do not post on Sunday please don't hassle me to upload as I am doing the best that I can. Auckland, New Zealand is still currently in Level 4 lockdown so I am at online school where things are a little more stressful, so please just bear with me.
