-Silent Realm-
Link found himself in a beautiful serene field similar to Hyrule Field. The world had a divine thermal blue aura to it, it was proof that he was no longer in the real world. "This place is beautiful but where am I?" he said, his voice softly echoing throughout the land.
"Welcome Legendary Hero to the Silent Realm. In this world only your spirit enters while your physical body is in a deep slumber inside the Trial Gate." a voice echoed.
"That explains why I kinda look like a ghost. So who are you?" the swordsman chuckled
"I am the creator of the spirit trail. I am Monk Oman Au, a sheikah and a servant of the Goddess Hylia. This is the Silent Realm, a dimension where those deepest in your heart come to life. In this trial of strength you must fight your way through the hordes of monsters and come to me. However, if the enemies hit you three times you will be defeated and crush your soul." the monk began.
"Wait, what?" he blurted out alarm .
"If you fail your spirit will return to your body and you will be unconscious due to your spirit's injuries. Once you recover you will be able to try again in a different location. If victory is yours, so is the Diamond Star."Are you ready?"
This was it.
It was all or nothing.
"I'm ready." Link said with a calm expression.
3….2….1….BEGIN!
A bright green light appeared far in the distance signaling that was where he needed to go.
Link ran full speed into the field towards the horde of red and blue bokoblins grunting and screaming at him waving their wooden clubs. The swordsman slashed at them left and right with blinding speed clearing a path through the horde.
A small red barrel caught his eye. An explosive barrel similar to the ones in Hyrule.
(One thing knight academy taught me before I left. Use the environment to the advantage.) Link thought of parrying an attack with a soldier shield.
He threw a small blade at the barrel. It immediately exploded, blasting away the rest of the enemies. Quickly making his way out of the field into a forest he came face to face with two blue moblins stomping over. Link sidestepped the first one slashing its back; he silently gasped as the second moblin slammed its large claymore at his shield before performing a spin attack as both monsters fell on the ground turning it a black most disappearing.
Link ran over to a small river, cupping his hands to get a quick drink before continuing. The green light was drawing closer.
(I guess I'm closer to the end.) he thought to himself.
Leaping over the river and to the end of the trial. It was a camp that was built around the tree filled with black moblins and at the top was a beautiful gray color star at the very top. Link threw seven fire arrows in the air causing the explosive barrels to destroy most of the camp. Suddenly, a black moblin slammed its giant sword against Link's back, sending him crashing into the tree. He gasped out in pain spitting up a little blood before staggering to his feet.
(I'm not gonna lose.. Not yet..I won't let everyone down.) he grunted raising his left hand.
Slowly, the Triforce of Courage began to glow, restoring his broken blade. Link with renewed energy sprinted up towards the crystal stars. He wasn't going to let his friends down not after they went through so much. A as a green energy blast came out of his sword knocking a horde of them away, disintegrating them. A giant black moblin seven times bigger than normal raised up its club ready to striker. Link dodged at the last minute almost like everything was moving in slow motion as he did a quick backward slash and extended left hand. A gigantic circular green blast left his hand flying past the moblin. The monster's eyes turned completely white as it's soul left its body. The large claymore fell from its hand and disintegrated into nothing.
Suddenly, an old extremely thin Sheikah male appeared. He had a white cloth hiding his face with his tribe crest on it and white pants.
"You have completed this trial and proved your worth as the Grand Stars' First Legendary Hero….In the name of Her Grace I give to you the Diamond Star." the Sheikah monk spoke in a low voice
A golden light swirled around Link as he began to leave the spiritual world.
"May the light guide your path."
Back on the volcano's peak the rest of the gang were still waiting for Link's return.
(I hope he's okay.) Lee silently hoped. With no scientific evidence about the silent realm and trial gates, who knows what's going on. Just then in a soft flash of light a familiar spirit appeared in front of her.
"Is something wrong Fi?" the girl asked
"You are worried about him." the spirit pondered
That got her attention and she felt warmth rushing to her cheeks. Man, why is she feeling this way?!
"You need to worry princess, Link is the First Legendary Hero of the Goddess have faith in him." Fi replied.
(Fi's right. Link's a strong warrior, he'll be okay.)
Right after she said that a light green spirit gate appeared as Link walked out of the gate with small cuts in his clothes but he had a wide smile on his face.
"Check it out guys!" he collapsed holding up a glistening white-colored crystal star.
"ALRIGHT!" the girls cheered
"OH YEAH!" the boys yelled.
Then Fi appeared in a flash of light. She had a small smile on her face levitation over the swordsman. "Congratulations Hero for succeeding in the trial and retrieving the Diamond Star. Now we should head to the Shrine of Stars." she replied
Mario smirked, adjusting his signature red cap. "Alright now let's head back-"
BOOM!
The ground was shaking violently underneath their feet as the volcano began to erupt and sprout lava like a rushing fountain. The animals nearby were running away in fear and confusion."W-W-What's happening?! Why's the ground shaking!" Toad screamed.
"It appears that Corona Mountain is erupting." Fi said in a monotone voice.
"EEEEEHHHHHHH?!"
"B-B-But why? The volcano has been dormant for about two years why is it erupting!" Peach gasped
"My analysis indicates that it is a 99% chance that it has been the result of Bowser's cannon."
"WWWWWWHHHHHHAAAATT?!"
BOOM!
The volcano exploded once more as even more lava slipped over the sides of the mountain and an even more intense earthquake erupted ripping the ground apart.
"This is a bad RUN!" Mario cried.
The group ran full speed down the volcano dodging rocks left and right as the mountain continued to crumble around them. "Gah!' Mario's foot slipped
"Mario!" Peach gasped horrified
Link managed to grab his arm and pulled him up back to the ledge. "You alright?" he called
"Yeah I'm fine, just run!" the red-capped hero was quick to his feet.
BOOM!
Everyone was helping each other jump over ledges and climb over fallen boulders as the lava spewed all over the place creating lava rivers, and black smoke covered the sky. They
"WE'RE GONNA DIE! I KNEW COME HERE WAS BACK!" Toad cried wailed
S;LAP!
"No we're not!" Daisy screamed at him - Toad was seen on the ground with anime like spirals replacing his eyes with dizzy stars circling around his head
"Come on guys this isn't the time for this!" Navi snapped, grabbing both of their ears and pulling them along with amazing strength of a fairy.
"This is gonna be close!" Link gritted his teeth looking at the rockslide was charging at them full speed.
BOOM!
As they hurried to the base of the volcano, a blast knocked them off the cliff.
"AHHHH!"
Link and Lee nodded to each other and let out a loud whistle. two large loftwings, a blue female and a male crimson loftwing dove through the clouds.
Link landed on his crimson loftwing and caught Peach, Navi Toad, and Luigi. Lee landed on her blue loftwing, catching Daisy, Mario, and Toad
"Let's go!" the two hylians said to the loftwings.
The giant birds let out a cry and flew away in the direction of Peach's castle.
