In the castle's royal lounge Mario, Link, Hylia, Peach, Navi, Luigi, and Daisy were sitting around the coffee table sitting on lounge chairs and sofas. Toadette and Toadsworth walked in feeling the somber mood in the atmosphere. "Hey what's so glum?" Toadette asked
"We're trying to figure out how to get the second crystal star." Luigi answered
"What's the problem? Just drive there or do you need the airship." she asked
The green-capped man scratched the back of his head, chuckling nervously.
(There's no way Toadsworth is gonna let Peach go.)
"Well it's not simple. The next crystal star is on the moon." he replied.
..
…
….
…
"EEEEEEEHHHHHH?!" they screamed with bulging eyes and sharp teeth
"How are you guys going to get there?" Toadette asked, looking around the room. The group of friends slumped again. Nobody thought that the Emerald Star was going to be on the moon more or less getting there. The nearest space station was in Sarasaland, but with the kingdom under Grodus' control it was impossible to enter.
Especially since Grodus was looking for Daisy.
Suddenly, a light bulb appeared over Hylia's head. "I think I can build a rocket but.."
"Really? You can?" Navi chirped
The hylian researcher nodded, grabbing her cyan-colored laptop and began typing something. "Peach, can I use the castle's conference passcode?"
"Um. Yeah sure, who are you calling?" the princess asked giving her the code
"I can't build the rocket myself, but with Dr. Purah's and Dr. Robbie's help. We can build a rocket to get there." Hylia explained. Peach went near the big screen pressing the button on the side turning on the projector. After a few minutes of waiting two Sheikah scientists appeared on the screen one of them was Purah and the other was a man called Robbie.
Purah: OMIGOD! Hylia are you alright? I saw you swept away by that black tornado. THEN THE BLOOD MOON! I was so worried about you!
Everyone in the room including Robbie sweatdropped at the scientist. She was speaking so fast nobody could barely understand her. "Wait
Purah: Then I saw you at Delfino Plaza during the invasion! And-
"Wait! How did you know I was in the Mushroom Kingdom?" Hylia asked
Purah: ARE YOU SERIOUS?! IT'S ALL OVER THE NEWS! Who do you think sent your loftwing after you! Me!
Robbie: Purah please calm down, I'm glad she's safe but let's see what she wants and why she's there.
The group began to tell the two scientists about Diamond Star and how they need their help to build a rocket to go to the moon to get the next crystal star. While Hylia was explaining the two scientists were listening intently.
Robbie: A rocket eh?
"Do you think you can lend us your assistance Doctor Robbie?" Toadsworth asking stroking his mustache
Robbie: Hehehe..well, this is a fantastic opportunity to check out my latest invention. OH YEAH!
An electric guitar sound could be heard throughout the quiet room. The male genius sweat dropped quickly explaining that they found new shrines and we're going to the Mushroom Kingdom. After a good ten minutes the meeting was over.
Robbie: Alrightty then, Robbie signing out!
Purah: ... Hylia?
"Y-Yes?" the golden-haired researcher stammered.
Purah: I'm glad you're safe. If….if what you say is true and you were called on by the Goddess Hylia then you should continue. I'll see you there dear.
Soon after the screen went dark as the conference call was over. "Great, now we have a way to get to the moon." Peach smiled
"Oh dear, I don't feel comfortable with this at all princess! What if something happens!" Toadsworth said. Peach frowned softly looking at her steward. The elderly man had raised her since she was a baby and became the father in her life after the loss of her parents at the age of six. The princess gently placed her hands on his shoulders calming him down, " Toadsworth I understand how you feel,but this is important. It's just like Purah said, this is the mission of the Goddess. It's something I have to do, maybe this can be the way to stop Bowser and Grodus for good." she said.
"Princess I-"
"There's going to be danger, but that's why I think that Grand Star gave us these powers. To fight. And if Bowser attacks us again, as the princess I will fight him." Peach said determined
Toadsworth looked at her with a soft gaze and nodded in understanding, he was proud of the young woman his princess was growing to be.
BOOM!
"NOOOOOO!"
The gang raced over to Toad's room where the scream came. Daisy kicked down the door, ready to fight the enemy.
But they met with a very pitiful sight.
Toad curled up in a ball lying on the ground crying his eyes out in a very comedical way with the Mailbox SP he brought next to him. "What's the matter, Master Toad? Why did you scream like that?" Toadsworth asked
"M-m-m-my SP…..i-i-i-it's a FAKE! I tried turning it on, and it exploded!" he screamed showing the steward the now busted up cell phone. Everyone deadpanned at the toad trying to figure how he managed to not see it was a fake.
"Of course it was a fake. They looked shady straight from the gecko!" Navi facepalm annoyed as Toad continues to cry comedically.
"Look, let's just go back to the mall and see if we can get this all straightened out." Mario reasoned.
-Toad Town Mall-
To say that there was a small commotion at the mall was an understatement.
It was an uproar of angry customers
Several people were yelling and screaming at the customer service centers while the workers were doing their best to console them.
"We want our money back!"
"Give us back our money!"
"These phones are fake! You scammed us!"
"How dare you?!"
"REFUND! REFUND! REFUND!"
"Hey what's going on here?" the red capped man asked, making his way to the manger. The manager was a middle aged female Toad with purple spotted mushroom cap and wore a blue uniform with a khaki skirt. She adjusted her glasses relieved to see him. "Oh Mario, thank goodness you're here! I'm Molly T. the manager of the mall. From what I understand all of these customers said that they bought the Mailbox SP Galaxy from our phone store. But I just made the order yesterday." the manager explained showing them the order bill on the laptop.
"Molly T's right. The order date was requested yesterday, it says that the order will arrive next week." Luigi
"So that means me and all of these people were scammed!" Toad yelled
"if we don't clear this up we're in huge trouble!" Molly T. wailed.
And Molly T. was right this was a very serious issue. If this continued the riot would put the employees in danger. They needed to find the culprit fast. Link purposes they headed up to the security room to look at the security cameras. "So you think that we'll find something?" Hyli asked
"According to Molly T. the cameras are on for twenty-fours hours right? Most thieves tend to move out when the store closes, but what they don't know is that the cameras are on. If we just watch the video we can figure out who they are and where they went. That's what I heard from stories." Link explained
The security video was turned on and they watched last night's footage.
3:20pm
Customers were walking around to different stores. "Everything's pretty normal." Toad noted
4:30pm
"Hey it's those guys!" Navi said as the two thieves entered the mall, a window carrying two bags. The camera showed them carry two large overnight bags. "You got the stuff Wario?" the lanky man with a purple cap asked.
"Waluigi I got it, hold ya horses bro." the shorter man chuckled.
"So they're names are Wario and Waluigi huh?" Peach said.
"I think I've heard of them." one if the security guards said stroking his bread.
"Who are they?" the blonde princess asked
"From what my pal told me they called themselves the Wario Bros. They're thieves trying to con anybody that listens to them. But not much of a threat to people, not like Bowser so many policemen have just given them warnings." he said
"And they definitely are not the Yiga Clan. I heard they attacked Gerudo Town." another security guard said
"Why haven't they been arrested yet?"
"Because the group's totally unpredictable. I mean Gerudo Town is extremely guarded. It's not just Hyrule, they target everyone in their path and their leader is unknown."
"I heard King Rhoam put a hundred million reward for the capture of the Leader of the Yiga Clan."
"Hey didn't he steal-"
"Getting back on topic, Bowser or not, these two are a problem. We need to figure out a way to find them, they can be anywhere in town." Daisy said.
"OW!"
And as if the universe answered her question, a large bang was heard. Wario was seen through the window with his face smudged against it in a very comical fashion. "Watch it man, you almost broke my nose!" Wario yelled, turning his head scared when realized he was caught as he ran.
(Seriously? What a clown.) Everyone in the room sweatdropped.
"Give me back my money!" Toad yelling jumping out the window chasing the yellow-capped man.
"Toad wait!" Hylia called behind him with the rest following close behind.
The camera halted with Toad running after the thief with a determined yet angry look on his face as the screen slowly faded into black.
