I ran inside my cottage as fast as my cold dead legs could carry me. Bella was reading on our bed just where I left her. "Bella!" I cried, running straight into her arms and kissing her all over.

"Woah, Edward what the heck are you doing?" She laughed. I didn't answer and just kept holding her and kissing her, thrilled to see her still intact. "Daddy?" I turned to face the door. Nessie was standing there, rubbing her eyes sleepily. "Nessie!" I yelled, running over to her and picking her up. I nuzzled into her hair, completely elated that she even existed! How I ever wished to get rid of her is beyond me. Next to Bella, she's my greatest joy.

"I love you both so much! I'm never going to stop fighting Aro until he leaves us alone. You're all worth it to me. I'm so sorry for losing hope and I promise it will never happen again," I said. "Let's go to the main house. I need to see everyone!" I ran out with Nessie in my arms and could tell that Bella was right behind me, even though she was confused. I crushed every single one of my siblings and parents to my chest, even Rosalie! Esme didn't mind, but the rest of them were sorely confused.

I tried telling my family of the adventure I had, but only Renesmee believed me. As I was processing the fact that everyone I loved was alive and well, a thought hit me. Alice's eyes glazed over. The vision she had made my heart soar! I figured it out! "Carlisle!" I called out, "I know how we can stop the Volturi! We need to gather as many friends as we can, starting with the Denali family. Call Eleazar!"

We called on all our friends as witnesses that Nessie wasn't an immortal child, Alice and Jasper found another half-breed just like her called Nahuel in South America, and Aro let us go! They just left! We didn't even have to fight!

I carried Renesmee home, all my friends and family following after me. We celebrated our victory all night long! Right as the clock struck midnight on Christmas Morning, one of the bells attached to Zafrina's skirt jingled. "Thank you Robert," I thought to myself. Nessie gasped, "Daddy! Mommy told me that every time a bell rings an angel gets its wings!" She giggled happily as she jumped into my arms. I kissed her on the head and sighed in contentment. "You're right, baby. You're absolutely right. Merry Christmas sweetheart,"

And from that day forward, I never took anyone in my family for granted again, including myself. I no longer harbored bitter thoughts about my change, nor was I guilty about changing Bella. I loved my life, yes my life! No more will I ever call it merely my existence. I will never forget Robert and his life changing adventure. I will forever be grateful.

*The End*
