CHAPTER 1 CLASS TRIAL

Monokuma starts by explaining the rules.

"During this trial, you will talk about who the killer is. If you get it right, the blackened will be executed. If you get it wrong, I'll execute everyone besides the blackened, and they will graduate. Let's beg-"

"We already know who the killer is!" Hiyoko says "It's Peko!"

Peko says "It isn't me! Just because it happened in my room doesn't mean I did it"

Gundham says "Well let's just look at the evidence! Fuyuhiko was attacked in the bathroom of Peko's room. Judging by what it seems, he was weakened by the stab wound and was too weak to fight-

"NO, THAT'S WRONG!" Are you sure Fuyuhiko was too weak to fight, heck, are you sure he didn't fight before he died? When I found the room, it was trashed. It was clear he and the killer were fighting." Peko says.

Nekomaru says "Well, do you have any proof that Fuyuhiko fought the killer?"

Peko says "Yes, I have. The murder weapon has gold dust in it. There was a sword mounted on top of my bed. Fuyuhiko used that sword to fight back. The sword was covered in dust however."

Mikan says "So he fought back. However, that doesn't clear you out Peko. You took the knife from the kitchen a-

"NO THAT'S WRONG! Teruteru, did anyone get a knife from the kitchen?"

Teruteru says "No, I already told you otherwise. Literally the only significant thing that happened is that Fuyuhiko said he'd employ me as his cook after he got out of there. No one ever came in after that."

Peko says "The only explanation is that Fuyuhiko took the knife himself. But why?"

Akane asks "Do you know anything that could've caused Fuyuhiko to attack?"

Peko says "Well, the video scared him, so that might've urged him to kill someone, frame me, and escape."

Nagito says "Well, then Peko, so this means he might've started the attack, but at the end of the day, you still killed him.

Peko then says "Ah, but there is evidence outside of my room. Nekomaru, you asked me to find your gold chain, right? I found it, but there was a bloodstained sleeve on it. The blood could be either the attacker's or Fuyuhiko. This means that whoever entered the trash room could've been the killer. And there is no proof I entered the room! Plus, the gate was closed and the only way that they could get in was if they could do a precise move… Eureka! I figured out the killer!"

Peko says "Sonia, the national sport of your country is Softball, right?

Sonia shrieks "Are you doubting me?"

Peko says "yes, i think the killer is you."

SOnia says "Yeah, I do know softball, but.."

Peko says "Then I figured out this case!"

CLOSING ARGUMENT BEGIN

Peko monologues "This story starts when Fuyuhiko saw the motive video. He started a murder plan. He got the blackened to go to his room, which was actually my room due to us switching rooms. Then, he attacked, but the killer fought back. Fuyuhiko locked himself in the bathroom. However, the killer picked the lock and entered. They stabbed him. A spatter of blood entered the wall. Fuyuhiko died shortly afterwards. The killer than took off their clothes due to it being covered with blood, wrapped it around nekomaru's gold chain and threw it into the furnace. Since softball is close to the blackened's heart, they used their precise aim to their advantage. The clothes mostly flew out of the chain. However, the sleeve stayed on the chain, and so the evidence increments the killer, and the one that went through all of this is…. You, Sonia Nevermind.

Sonia screams in anger.

"I REFUSE TO ACCEPT THIS! YOU'LL BE EXECUTED FOR THIS! I NEED MORE PROOF!"

Nagito says "There is more proof, the blood on the wall means more than just blood. You need to figure that out. I won't help you.. Because I want to see if you're the Ultimate Hope! NGAHNGAHNGAHNGAH!"

So this is his true self, an insane man who wants to see if we're ultimates, then I'll gladly prove it. Peko thinks

"The blood must mean morse code, right? I don't know how to translate Morse Code, but I can have help, right?" Peko says

Chiaki took time to look at Peko's notes and deduces "The code states that it is Sonia."

Sonia shrieks in anger and the trial ends.

Monokuma says "Looks like you came to a conclusion. Let us vote!"

Everyone votes for Sonia.

Monokuma laughs. "Fuhuhuhu! Looks like you voted right, the killer was Sonia Nevermind! I've prepared a special punishment for the Ultimate Princess!"

Sonia says "But it was Self Defense!"

Ibuki says "If it was self defense, then you wouldn't have opened the locked door, you'd have gone back to your room. "

Sonia says "NONONONONONONONONONONO!"

Byakuya says "It is true, what you committed is murder, plain and simple!"

Nekomaru says "It may not have been intentional, it may have been by circumstance, but by the end of the day, you still did a wrong."

Monokuma says "Let's give it everything we've got! It's PUNISHMENT TIME!"

"PEKO I'M SORRY!" Sonia screams as Monokuma presses a button with his gavel.

SONIA HAS BEEN FOUND GUILTY! TIME FOR THE PUNISHMENT!

Monokma puts a chain around Sonia and she gets dragged into another room

Sonia is in Novoselic-like Room. Monokuma citizens are angry at her.

She tries to defend herself and gets stabbed repeatedly. She kills a lot of Monokumas but she gets kidnapped by the lead one. She is lead to an execution chamber, where she is hung. After passing out over loss of oxygen, Monokuma beheads her and chops her to pieces.

Everyone watches this in horror as Monokuma laughs. Sonia, the Ultimate Princess, Fuyuhiko's killer is dead.

Monokuma laughs. "Fuhuhuhu! A fair warning, if you fail to get away next time, you'll end up like her. Well then, that is the end of the class trial."

Peko cries. She hates Sonia because she killed her best friend, but she defended herself… she realized the weight of her situation. Fuyuhiko betrayed her.

Mahiru comes towards Peko. " I know Fuyuhiko was your friend, and I just want to say I'm sorry."

Peko says "He betrayed me. He stopped being my friend the moment he came up with that idea."

Mahiru says "He didn't betray you. He saved you. Had he not written that message in morse code, you would've died."

Peko hugs Mahiru, thanking her for her kind words.
