DAILY LIFE- CHAPTER 2
The next day, Peko wakes up. She feels better but is still traumatized from the events of Fuyuhiko's murder.
She goes to the bathroom to find and cremate Fuyuhiko, intent on giving the remains to his family once she escapes.. and it is gone.
Peko asks "Huh? Where is the body?"
Monokuma shows up "I got rid of it, duh! That stench stinks! I don't want you to tamper with this smell of beauty! You can get the body if you leave though! Fuhuhuhu!"
Monokuma disappears. Suddenly, an alarm rings. "Attention! It is now 7 Am! Rise and Shine!"
Peko goes to eat in the Dining Hall, where an announcement tells them to come to the gym after they finish breakfast. They do. Peko gets there a little late, and sees everyone doing yoga.
"Now bend up and bend down. That's the spirit, Hiyoko!"
Hiyoko says "3,4,5,6"
Mikan says "A-are you sure this is a good idea? We could trip and f-"
"Shut up, troll!" Hiyoko yells.
Peko asks why they are here.
Monokuma says "Oh, Peko, you've arrived. Let's start with the main event. Whenever a murder is solved, a new floor of the school is open!"
Byakuya says "Hmm. Interesting. Everyone, investigate the floor and come back to the dining hall after you finish!"
Peko goes upstairs. She enters a door marked POOL, which leads to a hallway with two locker room doors and a gatling gun.
Gundham is also there, staring at the gun with confusion.
"What in the name of the Four Dark Devas of Destruction is that?!"
Monokuma arrives "That's to keep bullies and perverts away. Hiyoko, Kazuichi, Teruteru are all warned about this. If a girl tries to enter the boys locker room, she'll be shot. Vice versa for the boys. Sorry, but I don't want any funny business! Fuhuhuhu!"
Peko uses her handbook to enter the locker room, where she enters a door to the pool. She sees Hiyoko and Mikan there, the two arguing as usual. Mikan says " I'm s-sorry, but for your safety, I m-must insist that you not go to go into the pool until we find someone that could be a lifeguard. Hiyoko says "No one asked for your opinion!" and jumps into the pool. Mikan tries to jump in to save Hiyoko, but she trips and falls. Peko goes in and saves Hiyoko. Hiyoko screams to be let go. Peko then takes Mikan to the infirmary.
Mikan thanks Peko and Peko leaves. She enters the library. There, Byakuya is reading while Nekomaru yells.
"STUPID FOOL! WE SHOULD BE INVESTIGATING THIS PLACE!" He yells at him.
Peko breaks up the fight.
After she finished investigating the 2nd floor, she reported to the dining hall. Byakuya asks everyone to report their findings. They go to bed shortly thereafter.
The next day, Peko repeats her morning routine.
After that, she hangs out with Mahiru.
Mahiru takes a picture of her.
Peko asks Mahiru why she did that.
Mahiru explains she wants a record of their time in the island. She says that even if they get out of there alive, they might come out different people, meaner, harsher, more aggressive people due to the traumatic killing game and she wants a memory of how they were prior.
Peko says it's an awesome idea,but Mahiru leaves the room angrily.
After that, Peko spent time with Chiaki.
Chiaki says she was dreaming of Fortnite and how both the game and their situation revolve around killing.
Peko asks how good she is at games.
Chiaki replies " It's my life. I just like having fun with games,which is why this game should end."
Peko ends her conversation and prepares to go to bed. Then her doorbell rings. It's Byakuya and Nagito.
Byakuya asks Peko to be the witness for their endurance test.
They go to the sauna. There, Byakuya and Nagito are sweating bullets.
"You suck! And you're supposed to be a progeny!" Nagito yells
"Be quiet. You break rules." Byakuya yells back
Peko decides to go back to her room after a few minutes.
She wakes up the next morning.
Nagito asks Peko "Where were you? My bro and I had a lot of fun!"
"Your… bro?" Peko asks
Byakuya comes in "I prefer the term friend."
Nagito fist bumps Byakuya. It seems Nagito has broken through to Byakuya.
Suddenly, an alarm rings.
"Please come to the gym for an important announcement."
They all head to the gym.
Monokuma is there waiting.
"It's been a few days since the last murder, so I have something to motivate you all. These envelopes include your deepest darkest secrets. If you don't kill someone within 48 hours… your secrets will be revealed! Fuhuhuhuhu!"
Peko reads her letter
Peko once murdered an entire family
Peko looks at her letter in shock. How did Monokuma find that out? Fuyuhiko ordered her to do that. He and the entire Kuzuryu clan would be wiped out if she didn't intervene. It was a murder to save lives. She remembers plunging a sword through an infant, much to her regret. She had to do it to tie up all loose ends. To this day, she is scarred by the events. But she still covered it up. She couldn't be caught for it; She'd get arrested, Fuyuhiko would've been executed, everything she fought to protect would've gone down in flames. But people would know now, and the clan would dissolve. But, after the death of Fuyuhiko, she knew that this is child's play compared to his death. So she decided not to murder anyone.
Everyone else gasps at their letters. But are secrets really enough to drive someone to murder?
Eventually, they head back to their dorms.
Peko decides to hang out with Nekomaru.
Peko asks what is important about managers.
Nekomaru says that every profession needs a manager to succeed.
"The bond between athlete and manager cannot be severed!"
Peko leaves after his lengthy lecture and went to speak with Mahiru again.
Peko asks Mahiru if she used her talent to use to find clues for escape.
Mahiru responds "No, I usually take pictures of other stuff."
Peko asks what she means.
Mahiru shows her 2 pictures. One of them has Chiaki and Akane, the other has Ibuki and Hiyoko.
Peko asks where the others were.
"Mikan is still in the infirmary. Fuyuhiko and Sonia are dead. And the others I just didn't ask."
Peko thinks that she didn't ask any males because she doesn't let her guard down around them.
Mahiru asks her what she thinks of the pictures.
Peko says she likes them and that they're amazing.
Mahiru reprimands her for this, saying she doesn't consider words like awesome and amazing words of praise.
Peko apologizes and the day ends.
The next day during breakfast, Kazuichi comes yelling.
"G-guys! I went out looking for Nekomaru and well I found him alright! He's in the pool but he's d-d-d"
Everyone rushes in and there, lying down with his head facing the swimming pool was Nekomaru, drowned, lifeless, dead.
