"Back in the beginning, can't remember who I was

But I know I was a kid that would dream just because"

Red woke up but there were too many differences with where he is and where he was. It was bright, the ground was stone, concrete, and there were a lot of buildings.

"Where the fuuuu?" Red was completely and utterly confused.

It felt familiar in a way similar to seeing a very distant memory. Probably from that crossroads place, with Knight. If that was a dream he's gonna miss Knight's cute lil' gestures.

Red got up and looked around, walked around. It was a city and a quite a large one. But the thing is...it was empty, no people, nor any signs of people. Red peered into a store's window and saw nothing.

He walked some more and felt a pocket of his vibrate. He reached into the pocket and pulled a phone out, how long has he had this without knowing. Never mind that it was just a simple notification saying the weather is clear.

Red put the phone up and continued traveling around, picked up a backpack from a store and continued on wandering.

There's practically nothing, and there's legit no one around. This really creepy why would a city be unpopulated?

"Hey!" A voice, feminine and very close to him.

Red being the brave person he is yelps and spins around...nobody. There is a voice close by almost on top of him and he can't see the speaker.

"I'm in your head," The voice said. "Call me Lumi!" Well at least this Lumi is nice sounding.

"Ok then, why're you in my head?" Red was pretty skeptical about having a voice in his head.

"Weeell I'm not sure why but here I am." Lumi knows as much as Red did.

"Do you know anything about this city?"

Lumi was keeping Red company, he appreciated it a bit. He was sitting on a roof watching the sunset.

"If I did I don't remember, memory about my life is a blank slate," His tone wasn't sad, rather it was slightly upbeat. "But that's alright, the past and the future is rarely as important as the here and now."

"That's surprisingly upbeat for an amnesiac...but it's admirable to say the least." Her tone was kinda warm saying that, weird.

Lumi and Red talked a bit more, this and that.

"Soooo...you're gonna wake up soon," This is a dream? "Keep safe for me?" Lumi that is a weird thing to say.

Then he woke up.

Red woke up with a start, and Knight laying against him asleep. He nudged Knight but they didn't wake...after a bit of jostling and stuff Red decided to just pick Knight up and carry them.

Red checked his pocket, so the phone wasn't part of the dream. Could be useful later, and his left arm still has no feeling. It was connected to wifi somehow too.

"Internet? Wifi? How?" Red decided to leave it at that.

He flicked through some songs on a music app and picked one.

"Psychic spies from China try to steal your mind's elation"

Red will say it again, life is present, not past nor future...and the present isn't that bad.

Title and quotations: Broken Record- Hollywood Undead

Phone song: Californication- Red Hot Chili Peppers

Red had a dream, and is Lumi just a dream voice or more? Also was the phone always there? Or was it picked up from the dream?

Again I am sorry if this chapter sucked.
