"A body has been discovered!" After a short period of investigation, the class trial will commence!"

Akane screams "NOOOOO!" and runs towards Nekomaru's lifeless body. She checks for a pulse. Nothing. She tries CPR. It doesn't work. He's gone. Akane says "Please.. come back.. Nekomaru.."

Akane yells "ALRIGHT WHO DID THIS! I'MMA KILL THAT BASTARD!"

Akane roars and tries to tackle people she thinks is responsible. A recovered Mikan uses a tranquilizer to knock Akane out. The investigation then commences.

Monokuma shows up before anything starts.

"Fuhuhuhu! A murder! Well then, I've spent some time preparing a Monokuma File! Here you go."

Peko reads the file.

The victim was Nekomaru Midai. The time of death is approximately 4:00 am. He has numerous wounds in his head, back and legs, indicating a struggle. He also has his face violently pushed into the water. Whichever attack killed him is yet to be confirmed.

Nagito looks at the file. "Who has an alibi for that time?" He asks.

Akane, Mahiru, Peko, Gundham, Kazuichi, Ibuki, and Teruteru all say "I was asleep."

Chiaki said "I was Stuck on The pachinko machine level of Super Mario Sunshine."

Hiyoko said "Trying to find a way to prank Ms. Troll Face."

Mikan shudders and says "R-resting. In the infirmary."

Nagito says "Shitting. Really loud shitting."

Chiaki says "I did hear some loud grunting. I can attest to that."

Byakuya says " I was monitoring the hallway. The power went out during the night, but Monokuma fixed it. I can attest to all of these alibis."

Peko says "We all have alibis, then. For Now, at least. Well, Let's investigate."

Peko looks at the wounds on Nekomaru's back. They're somewhat of a circle shape. Peko also notices that there's some blood in his hair. Mikan notices this.

"It seems the attack on the head, while severe, might not be the killing blow."

Akane says somberly. "So, Nekomaru fought his damndest to survive. Yet he failed."

Peko notices there is a trail of blood going towards the girl's locker room. She figures that since the blood is going that direction, and that since the weapon is stained with blood, the killer had to be an alibi-less girl. This identifies her 3 main suspects. Mikan, Chiaki, and Hiyoko, since they were all out and about during 4:00 am.. She also notices a trail of water heading towards the boy's locker room. It seems to be water that splashed when the killer put Nekomaru's head in the water, but why in such a specific way like that?

Peko decides to investigate the boy's room and girl's room. She goes into the girl's room first, and notices a few things. First, a weight in the girl's room is blood stained. It also has a handprint. From this, Peko concludes that the killer was almost definitely a girl. Yet she has some doubts on it. The evidence implicating a girl seems too perfect. If anything, she has equal suspicions it might be a boy.

She notices that there's a bloodstained wrench. Peko thinks that this might implicate Kazuichi, the Ultimate Mechanic and that Byakuya is an accomplice.

In the boy's room, Peko notices it is clean. Suspiciously clean. For a room right next to a crime scene, it seems a bit too clean. She takes a note of it. She also sees that there seems to be sweat on the floor. Was Nekomaru working out? Peko thinks. She takes a note of it. Then she notices some blueprints next to a lighter. She tries to pull on it, and then it lights up. She now definitely thinks it's either the three girls or Kazuichi.

A announcement rings.

"Time for the class trial!"

They all head down to the class trial. Nekomaru's death will be solved.
