Chapter 2 Uh oh and Oh there goes that roof

1st POV

I didn't know it was here, if I did know I would have been more careful but instead here I was fifty or so metres away from the once human Assassin once named Kafka now a grotesque hybrid abomination between his once human self and a spider.

Standing taller Kafka now sported two more pairs of arms from his shoulders, each one looking like spider legs that ended in hands with black elongated sharp fingers, his body was now covered in a black exoskeleton with yellow splotches instead of the horrendous yellow and black trench coat he once wore.

His legs now looked a lot like my own but were still covered in his green slacks that thankfully covered what was most likely his changed modesty.

I could see at the back of his waist was a large spider abdomen that was also black and yellow.

Everything changed but it was his face that had me reeling back in horror.

His now was multiply with six more covering his upper half of the head and all of them were now just plain purple with glowing orange undertone and his mouth looked more like that of predator's mouth with the large mandibles on either side of his lips.

"Hehehehe well now isn't this just fantastic." Hearing the voice that came out of Kafka's mouth made me shiver for two reasons, first being that it sounded really disturbing and second was the fact he had a mind of his own.

"Hehehe what? lost for words." Kafka's distorted voice shook me out of my horror as I narrowed my eyes.

"Blade, I'm going to need your help here!" I yelled out as Kafka blinked each one of his eyes individually and then grinned.

"Oh yes, the Priest!" Kafka exclaimed as I saw a shadow move over me, looking up I was semi glad to see blade was in the air as the same purple tendrils of strings were sent out.

"TEMPEST THREAD ZERO!" Blade yelled as I watched Kafka simply raise two pairs of his arms up and just swiped them across as each one of his elongated fingers sliced right through the storm of string.

Landing back on the ground in front of me I didn't need to be a detective to know that Blade was now baffled with his attack now negated.

"Hehehe whoops what was that again, oh yes all I need to do is loop and pull." Kafka spoke as swiped one of his arms as thin purple strings whipped down across the air towards Blade.

Quickly moving I sprinted and dashed at Blade tackling him to the ground before pushing him away as we both rolled away before the strings came down to the ground and like a hot knife through butter sliced right through the earth.

"Holy shit!" Blade yelled out in shock as I too was shocked but I was more focused on Kafka who seemed to be rather pleased with his action's.

"Oh my well isn't this just interesting, it appears I've gained an upgrade ahahaha." Kafka laughed as two of his arms went behind his body, obviously going to his abdomen as it was probably producing more thread.

"Eve, Gido get Cruz out of here!" Blade yelled out as the both of us slowly stood back up onto our feet.

"Tell me you copied more abilities than just string." I said as my eyes narrowed when I saw the way Kafka was looking at us like toys, easily broken toys.

"No, if I don't train my abilities I will slowly lose them." Blade said with absolute seriousness as I felt my left twitch.

"And you didn't think it was a good idea to train said abilities." I bit out, clenching my hands into fists as I tried to think of a way to deal with Kafka.

"Yeah that's on me, but in my defense-"

"Yeah no I get it, who the fuck would have guessed this would happened." I interrupted as I did not blame Blade for not seeing this coming, but come the fuck on did he really not train with his abilities. "I have no plan, so for now we test the waters and try to see if we can end this as quickly as we can." I said as my eyes darted around for something to use as a weapon and saw a bunch of poles and rebar just about ten or so metres away from the right of me.

"I can get behind that, ready?" Blade asked as I took a deep breath and slowly walked to the nearby poles and rebar.

Not bothering to see how strong I really was I quickly picked up a pair of poles from the pile, one was at least as tall as me while the other was just as long as my arm, both poles were covered in rubble concrete and had jagged rusted sharp ends.

"This a bad time to say I don't actually know how to fight?" I suddenly asked as I took a deep breath in and out, trying to calm my nerves before throwing the larger pole to Blade who caught it rather easily.

"Probably, but hey we need to learn somehow right?" Blade said as he gave me a grin but unlike his more excitable grins this one was more friendly and good natured. "Now let's kill this asshole!"

With that Blade spun his metal pole around before quickly spear chucking at Kafka, with the throw I dash to the side and sprinted around watching as Kafka pulled out his two additional pairs away from his back and swung them across his body as more purple strings whipped around and sliced directly through the pole.

I was neither surprised nor shocked by his sudden reflexes but I was more focused on the spider hybrid's hands that quickly pulled back its arms and casually swung them in random directions or I would have thought random if not for a hurricane of purple strings being launched directly at me.

Quickly I leaned to the left and dashed just before the hurricane could slice me apart.

I had a good idea that thanks to my exoskeleton I was rather tough but I wasn't confident to test how tough I really was.

Glancing over to Blade I could see how he used Tempest Thread to cancel out Kafka's own strings, well at least Blade's new ability isn't useless.

Suddenly I felt something wrap around my ankle, looking down I was shocked to see a single purple string tied to my ankle and I could do nothing as I felt it pull my leg and drop me back first against the ground with a thud.

I tried to stop by latching my clawed hands onto the ground but I was quickly flung into the air and quickly whipped around, my vision was a blur until it quickly cleared up just in time for me to see that I was heading straight towards Blade.

"Oh shit!" I yelped out as I saw Blade look over to my direction, his eye brows rose upwards which told me that his eyes widened under his glasses and before I could finish that thought all I saw next was black.

3rd POV

Kafka laughed with sadistic pleasure as his plan to use Hamish as a flail went perfectly, so perfectly that when he smacked Blade away he quickly pulled the cloaked man back and started to whip him against the ground repeatedly almost like he was abusing a brand new toy.

Blade in the meantime let out a pain filled ground as he blinked his eyes open and found his world was now covered in cracks, blinking in confusion Blade quickly realized that the cracks were because of his sunglasses.

"Oh come on, these damn things aren't exactly cheap." Blade growled out as he tried to move but stopped when he felt his body was stuck, shaking his sunglasses off Blade looked around to see that he was now embedded into a concrete wall. "Son of a bitch." Blade bit out as he used his own abnormal strength and pulled himself out of the wall.

Crouching onto his knees blade took note that his signature trench coat was now just shreds of fabric that just clung to his bare torso.

"Damn it, what in the hell did this asshole take to get that fucking strong?" Blade mindfully asked as he narrowed his eyes in the direction of the Bug Human hybrid who stopped slamming Hamish around and held him upside down by his ankle with one of his long arms.

"Hehehe you know if it wasn't for that priest not finishing me off I wouldn't be here, so really if you had to blame anyone BLAME HIM!" Kafka yelled the last bit as he spun around, dragging Hamish's body along until he leg went flinging him into the air. "Well now that he's out of the picture for now let's go find that resistance brat." Kafka spoke as he swung his arms up launching strings into the air that connected to the ruins of the buildings nearby and pulled himself up into the air like a slingshot where he used his strings to pull him through the air.

Blade who watched all of this from his spot frowned before pushing himself onto his feet,

"Damn, that kid's in trouble and not to mention that cloak guy is now flung somewhere shit." Blade bit out before taking a deep breath calming himself down as he remembered Eve was with teen and Gido, so he was safe for now. "RIght, I need to find that guy who seems to know more about what's going on but I have to be quick." Blade said as he looked at gloved hands and slowly clenched them tight as purple strings started to appear from his arms.

"Lets take a page out of the freaky looking asshole's book." Blade said as he held his arms up and with a mental comand launched the strings into the air before connected to a building, with all his strength Blade pulled himself up in the air and used his own strings to swing around.

Meanwhile with Hamish

Hamish opened his eyes and quickly closed them as the sun shone directly at him, letting out a painful groan Hamish rolled onto his side as he tried to piece together what just happened, but before he could he heard a loud distinctive sound of a gun hammer being cocked back.

Opening his eyes again Hamish saw the barrel of a gun block his vision.

"Oh come on-"

"Shut it!" Hamish was quickly interrupted by the person who held the gun, Hamish rolled his eyes as he quickly darted his eyes around at his current surroundings.

From wall to wall were wire racks that hold weapons of different associations ranging from melee weapons to firearms of all kinds of sizes, he would have looked around more but the barrel of the gun tapped against his head bringing his attention back to the person with the gun.

"Hey focus, now tell me why in the hell are you in my storeroom." the person demanded angrily, obviously pissed off that Hamish had invaded their place of business out of nowhere.

"Not like I had a choice of landing." Hamish bit back as he pointed a finger up at the new whole in the ceiling he had just fallen through.

"Lillya who is it!? And can I shoot them!?" Hearing a new voice Hamish blinked in confusion as the accent sounded very anime-like with a lot of russian shoved into it.

"Potato, go back to your room." the first voice exclaimed as the barrel of the gun was slowly pulled back to reveal the person who was holding it.

"But-"

"Not like I'm interested or anything… but where am I?" Hamish quickly asked as he blinked and found the person holding the gun was a woman with long blond hair with six large ribbons behind her head holding her long hair back, she work a crimson dress that went down just above her knees.

What took him by curiosity was her arms that looked an awful lot like his own but instead of the matte-sh black insect like finish hers were gun metal and actually metal with sharp claws on her finger tips.

"You're in my storeroom, where you dropped into now tell me what the hell are you doing in it." the woman, Lillya demanded as Hamish closed his eyes and replayed the last couple of minutes through his head.

"I was fighting an asshole, I fucked up, he wrapped his string around my ankle and I was flung into a friend of my and then… black." Hamish said as he opened his once again and then quickly sat up as he remembered the fight once more. "Oh shit Cruz!" Hamish yelled out as he moved to his feet, his cloak once again covering his form before he looked back up to the hole.

"Shit, how far did that asshole throw me!?" Hamish yelled out before he jumped up, not really surprised that he was able to jump back through the hole he quickly looked around and found himself on a roof top of a small building, spinning his head around Hamish scanned around until he saw a large plume of smoke from some familiar looking buildings that had to be more than a couple of Kilometre's away.

"Oh come did he seriously throw me that far away?" Hamish muttered in annoyance before he heard a pair of feet land right by him.

"I don't know where you're going but I'm letting you get away without fixing my roof." Lillya exclaimed as she leaned her gun on her shoulder, neither bothered if she didn't look intimidating but was rather confident in her speed.

"I would love to but I have a prior engagement with some cultist cunt sent from Simeon." Hamish quickly refuted as he narrowed his eyes in thought as how to get back to the area he had just left.

"Simeon, you mean the pharmaceutical company?" Lillya asked as she slowly walked up and stood next to Hamish, her eyes narrowing as she saw the smoke from the buildings. "How about a deal? I help you out, you help me out?" Lillya suddenly offered confusing Hamish as he turned to look at her.

"Not to be that guy but if this still has something to do with your roof… well I don't mind fixing it but I'm not a builder." Hamish admitted honestly as he watched how the woman just walked back over to the hole in her roof.

"That's fine you can pay me back another way." Lillya said as she dropped down back into the storeroom. "Come on hurry up! Pick up something, you're going to need it!" Lillya said as Hamish quickly followed back into the storeroom.

Inside Hamish watched as the woman went up to her racks of guns and pulled off a semi auto shotgun before quickly crouching down to quickly load it with red shells she had on a makeshift shelf of gun cases that held different magazines, ammo and other things like holsters and such.

Hamish not being one to be left out nervously looked around the storeroom filled with weapons until he saw a couple of weapons that took his interest, walking over to the weapon racks that held the large assortment of melee weapons Hamish picked up a long sword with no guard and looked like kunai but enlarged with the hilt being at least as long as my forearm and the blade twice as long.

It was obvious that Hamish saw this to be Hornet's own sword but instead of the pure white this one was gunmetal gray and had black leather tied around the hilt.

Moving the weapon in his hand he had found it to be perfect in his exoskeleton hands and naturally he placed it on his back and as if by magic the weapon seemed to stick itself to my back over my cloak.

Not feeling too weirded out by how it stayed in place I quickly moved to other weapons rack with the guns and quickly picked up a P90 that was barren of any kind of attachments, looking down I quickly crouched down and picked up one of the few magazines there was for the gun and with semi difficulty placed the mag in place and pulled the charging handle before flipping the switch that put on the safety.

Pulling the gun under my cloak I hesitatingly placed it on my lower back on my waist but like the sword it stayed in place.

"Any idea what we are going up against?" Lillya finally asked as she clicked on a waist belt with a katana at her waist, her semi auto slung over her back on a sling.

"Human spider Hybrid, six arms, was or is a needless that uses strings but after injecting himself with this… liquid he turned into that." Hamish informed as he eyed the rifle that hung on the rack and pulled it off. "Mind if I use this, I might be able to distract him long enough for you to get a couple of shots into him." Hamish said as he picked up the rifle which was an old Kar98 sniper rifle with a scope attached to it.

"Distract?" Lillya asked as she was unsure what he meant.

"Dude has eight eyes and if my suspicions are right it is going to take a lot and I do mean a lot of bullets to put him down." Hamish informed, as Lillya looked unsure before she shrugged and accepted it as it is.

"Alright fine, but if that's the case I'm bringing this." Lillya said as she held up a china lake grenade launcher and a leather bandolier with grenades in place.

"Smoke or explosive?" Hamish asked as Lillya gave him a blank look. "Yeah dumb question." he quickly said as he quickly loaded his Kar98 before loading one in the chamber with worn down bolt.

"Alright Potato stay, we'll be back by sunset." Lillya called out as she walked out with Hamish quickly following right behind her as he slung the rifle over his shoulder and laid right next to the sword.

"Wha? But Lillya-!" came the same russian accented voice that Hamish heard from before.

"No But's, you will be fine as long as you stay indoors got it?" Lillya said as Hamish walked out of the storeroom and saw the next room looked kinda like an apartment turned daycare with everywhere covered with worn down furniture, old faded posters and Hamish saw an old whiteboard in the corner.

Moving his head around Hamish quickly saw who Lillya was talking to, it was a small child that had to be as tall as his knee.

She had pale long blonde hair that was pulled back in place by a black cat eared headband, her body was covered by a giant baggy Black Hoodie with said hood having long black bunny ears attached to it.

She was amazingly adorable even if her heavy russian accent completely caught him off guard.

"Suuka Blyat, is this the man who broke our Roof!?" The girl yelled as she pointed at Hamish who blinked in surprise from the sudden attention he was getting from her.

"Yes Potato, but don't worry he and I have made a… deal of sorts." Lillya said quickly as she crouched down to the girl's level. "Now be good, this will be like every other mission I go on and next time I go out yes I will take you along ok?" Lillya offered as girl Potato pouted cutely at her.

"Fiiiine."

"Good." Lillya said kindly as she patted the child's head.

Standing up Lillya motioned for Hamish to follow her and quickly did so, the two of them moved through the building until they came to the ground floor of a garage that contained different vehicles that were covered in old blue worn down tarps that were covered in dust, some tarps were coated in large amounts of dust while some of them only had a small layer on top.

"Help move this out while I get the door." Lillya said pointing to the tarp covered vehicles.

Moving to the door Lillya quickly went about opening the shutter door while Hamish moved to the indicated vehicle, pulling off the tarp Hamish was not all that surprised to see it was an old looking motorcycle.

What he didn't expect to see was the motorcycle being semi clean if not covered in dust Harvey Davidson motorcycle.

"Well shit." Hamish muttered before he quickly moved it outside where Lillya was waiting with a gunmetal gray mask with six slits for her eyes to look out sitting on her face alongside a red scarf tied around her neck and an old sun bleached red weathered poncho sitting on her shoulders.

"Alright let's go hunt ourselves a cultist… I'm sorry, what was your name?" Lillya asked as she realised she had not asked for a name.

"Hamish."

"Hamish, I'm Lillya." she said before she pulled the bike out of Hamish's hands and hopped in front while Hamish quickly moved to close the shutter doors down before hopping behind her.

"Hold on tight and if you grab my breasts I will cut your dick off!" Lillya yelled out as she started the engine.

"Wait what!?" Hamish yelled as he didn't hear what the woman said as the roar of the engine cut her off.

Pulling on the accelerator Lillya drove off while Hamish was quick to wrap his arms around Lillya's torso so as not to fall off.

Chapter 2 end

Short chapter I know or well a shorter chapter but I figured it would be better to keep things going.

Also if anyone is guessing yes Lillya and potato is indeed from Shrapnel a show created by Moonshine Animation, a Figma stop motion animation based youtube channel.

Why?

Honestly it's easier to bring in characters than just make up new ones(that's one of my main reasons but there are more that I will keep close to my heart).

Now with their involvement will that mean that this crossover is going three ways? No it's still Hollow Knight X Needless, the characters I add in will not include their own universe's, there will be come elements that will added in but nothing too much like With Shrapnel's own environment where one side is constantly night while there is another one that is constantly day, or Death Machines(that is something I will not touch with a ten foot pole).

So that will leave these two questions: Who are you planning to bring into your fic? And don't you think adding more characters so soon or in general is too much?

Well to answer both of them, maybe.[Insert Alastor's grin from Hazbin Hotel here]

Anyway I hope you all enjoyed this chapter because the next chapter will be the conclusion to this short arc.

See y'all later!
