Viva Los Basilisk

War war never changes. We all heard that before almost everyone around the wasteland . Almost every part of the wastes has heard of the Outsiders and how their mark had helped shape the wasteland and pre war America. By giving people like Mr. House, the vault dweller, the lone wanderer, Vulpes Incult and Caesar's Courier. All these have the mark but let's see what would happen when a basilisk from the Boiling Isles finds himself in the America wasteland.

The Void

After leaving the Outsider castle, Dragon was leading six to her island in the void. Her island was a desert mountain. At the very bottom of the mountain was a small shack that was hiding a Replica of a Vault. When they entered the vault Six saw all sorts of weapons and armor all displayed like a museum with names of people on top. Then Six saw a Dog with metal replacing three of the dog paws and a red growing eye. Then it spoke with a female voice "Ah Master Shiva, your back , can you play with me now." Then the female cyber dog noticed Six and asked "Master, who is this?" Dragon or Shiva sighed and said " way to go Lucy just tell my name to strangers you don't know." Lucy looked down with shame and Six looked fearked out and yelled "what the fuck is that!!" Shiva looked at the basilisk and remembered that Six was in a lab when she found him and said" Lucy is a cyber dog and six How long were you in that lab? Six. Six." Six did not answer because he was looking at Lucy until she decided to walk to him and licked Six's hand showing that she meant no harm. Six started to smile at the cyber dog and Shiva took off the skull and exited her armor. (Author's note think when your exiting Enclave power armor.)

When Shiva was out of her armor Six saw a Chinese woman with a buzz cut and burns on her face along with a burn on her left hand and her mark right were her hand was burnt in her early 30s dressed in a Vault jumpsuit with Leather vest that had at the word Arroyo with a skull of a death claw and 13 below it . At the sides of the vest were faction symbols like the NCR, The Brotherhood of Steel, and the Shi to name a few.She also had a Pip Boy 2000 on her right " Come on Six I'm going to take you to my room." Shiva said as she walked to her room and Six followed her but shiva closed the door when Lucy came.

Shiva's room was completely different from the entrance. For example, the entrance was nice and clean and orderly while her room was messy and cluttered like a dragon where her bed was gold coins, flamer fuel, and bars of gold. Along with pieces of samurai armor of all things lying around. And on the end wall was a circle with runes carved into the wall.

"You asked earlier how long I was in the lab, 8 years." Six said.

'Damn Heisenberg is a fucking nutcase.' Shiva thought as she went to the wall with all the runes and placed her hand on the portal and the runes started to glow blood red.

"Alright six I'm going to send you to a person who owes me a favor so come on" said dragon as she opened a portal. Six just stood there think about what Vaermina said about the Outsiders fucking with reality. Dragon noticed Six looked uneasy and said "hey kid you're not having any second thoughts."

"No I'm not having any second thoughts, it's just what happened with Vaermina that has me thinking."

"Fuck Vaermina your not going to where she has any power over you. Six you're going to New California more Specifically Oceanside it's near Camp Pendleton and when you get there you need to blend in with these." Dragon Said as she gave the black basilisk with red eyes a Vault suit, backpack,poncho and a machete.

"Why do I need the clothes? I'm a basilisk. Whenever I shape shift I also form clothes." Six said as he was looking at the clothes. Dragon sighed and said " Six I don't know what the Outsider portal is going to do to you because every time a person is transported from one world to another it changes the user in some way so it is better if you put them now then after entering. Oh and before I forget here some advice if you can do something you can do it ." Dragon had turned facing the door. Then Six proceeded to change his scales to tan skin, his tail began to split and form two legs, and then his face started to look more and more human. At the end of Six transformation he looks like an 8 year old Hispanic boy. After sumbling for a minute trying to get his balance and when he got his balance Six tried to put on the vault suit that had on the 2072 and Six asked "what does the numbers mean?"

Shiva looked at him and said "nothing they just sound cool. Oh before I forget when you get Oceanside I need you to find Ingrid Frost. She is a former friend of mine and she knows everything about the medicine, science, and robotics. She can teach you everything you need to survive and you can find her at Camp Pendleton." After Shiva said this Six had the poncho and the backpack on. Shiva then without hesitation she picked Six through the portal

One hour later Oceanside

'This place is weird' six thought as he was walking through the almost destroyed city. You see Oceanside, a big city before the war, a bright city where everyone would go on their way to see amusement park Castle Land or spend a day at the beach. But near the city was a military base nearby to train the new recruits but now it's just a ruin that the NCR could barely care about but patrolled because of the Savior of Negot.

Six walk was uneventful until he saw two female NCR soldiers, one with a riot shotgun and was wearing a Ranger Veteran armor and another laser rifle wearing a ranger combat armor walking about. "Hey, what are we doing here?" The Ranger with the laser rifle asked the Veteran.

"I don't know Rose. I wonder what we are doing all the time? Are we suffering for the sins of our fathers or are we destined to help an Outsider reach their destiny." The Ranger Veteran with the riot shotgun was about to say more but was interrupted by Rose "shut the fuck up!! Red. man I forget you were in the Outsider tribe. No I mean what are we doing here in Oceanside there is nothing here well nothing here but death and raider 'art'." Red just glared at her for interrupting her and insulting her tribe. Six saw these two and tried to hide but was stop by hearing a gunshot and saw a 5 raider dressed in old knight armor with 3 ten mm submachine guns, 1 Battle rifle and one Fatman and yell " you are trespassing on the land of Oceanside we are here to stop you NCR dog from taking any more form Kingdom of Negot. For we are the Saviors of Negot"

Both Red and Rose started to fire on the Saviors of Negot while taking cover behind some rubble in the streets. Poor Six was pinned down by an old car that was in the road but was noticed by Red who said " shit there's a kid there we need to help him." Rose then saw the kid and said " forget getting him. Aim for the fat man." Is all that rose said as she was firing at the Fatman which hit the mini nuke in the weapon and caused a small nuclear explosion and set six flying into the rubble and killing the raider knights.

"What the hell Rose, you could have killed him." Red said as she was checking for his pulse and saw that he was changing and saw black scales start to appear over his unconscious state and his ears started to lengthen. Then she saw the Outsider's mark on his right hand. "Some type of mutant, let's kill it and bring it to Dr. Frost." Rose said and hearing this Pissed off Red who had enough of Rose and aimed her riot shotgun at her and fired blowing of Rose's arm that was holding the laser rifle.

"What the fuck… you shot off my arm… why? You stupid tribal. " Red just kept on firing and blowing off her remaining Arms and legs then said " you have insulted my religion, my people, you disregarded the safety of a child, and then you tried to kill said child. You life is now forfeit." After saying this a Red aimed at Rose's head and fired.

Two hour later NCR controlled Camp Pendleton Hospital

The lab on the Camp was mostly filled with injured soldiers and the staff in the lab trying to save people. The woman in charge was one Ingrid Frost, a pale woman with white hair done in bun and red eyes wearing a lab coat with the sleeves ripped off and missing a leg with a prosthetic leg and a Pit Boy 3000 on her left and a bandage hand which concealed her mark of the Outsider. Her day was going pretty good. She had gotten a big shipment of medical supplies finally after putting in the request for them 5 months ago, she also had got a pack of cigarettes when she had won in a card game, and Colonel Royez was not bugging her for being a tribal .

'All is right in the world. Wonder when it's going to be ruined.' Ingrid thought this as she was in her office smoking and started to work on what looked like a metal tiger. It was quiet for a while until she heard shouting and a crash. Then she saw Red barge down the door and quickly said " I need your help. I found a boy that got sent flying by a mini nuke." Ingrid just stood there shocked and said " ok where is he?" Red just nervously said " in my house at base housing." Irgrid looked like she was turning red and yelled "WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU DO THAT!! OF ALL THE PLACES. WHY HALF WAY ACROSS THE BASE!!!" Red just whispered " he's not exactly human and he has the Mark of the Outsider." Ingrid anger left her and said " let me get my bag and my bike." Red just pulled a bag filled with medical tools and supplies.

"Or just my bike, come on, let's go Red." Is all That Ingrid said as she started to walk off with Red following behind her.

Red's House

Red's house was rare for someone to earn, especially since she was a tribal and a ranger . The house was a two story that was too big for one person but was mostly filled with animal skulls, furs and skins of deathclaw, and symbols of the Outsider along with some basic living equipment and some weapons in a display of people she killed in her work. The two women on the top floor look at the Basilisk who is not disguised and covered with bandages.

"So you treated him, why do you need me Red?" Inigid asked. Red just pointed at Six and said " look at him I don't know if I did it right and what if he has internal bleeding?"

Ingrid just put on some red goggles and connected them to her Pit Boy 3000 show. She could see what was wrong but nothing was wrong and saw his arm was broken but saw it was healing. 'How is he healing? It's almost like a ghoul, fascinating.' Ingrid thought and noticed that Red was looking at with confused her and said " I made it with the help of the Outsider's mark and from learning from an old enclave scientist he had one and showed me how to do it. His bones are healing themselves. I'm going to stay and watch over him." Just then Six started to wake and saw Both Red and Ingrid. Six saw that he had no clothes on and he was weaponless. "Where am I ?"

"You're in Oceanside, well Camp Pendleton in Red's here house." Said Ingrid as she pointed to Red who had her helmet off to show an African American woman with blood red hair who waved to six. Then Ingrid asks " who are you and where did you get that mark and what's your name? And also what are you?"

"My name is Six, I'm a basilisk and I got the mark from a woman named Dragon." Both Ingrid and Red looked at each other and asked "what's a basilisk and what did the woman want you to do Six?"

"A basilisk is a shapeshifter that can drain magic and she wanted me to find someone named Ingrid and have her train me . Are you her?" Six asked because he saw the mark of the Outsider painted on a wall in the room.

At hearing six said this Ingrid thought ' So Shiva wants me to train this kid. Well this we'll be interesting.' Then she said " you're in luck Six you're looking at Ingrid. So what does the Outsider want me to teach you?" Six smiled and said "everything about the wasteland and how to survive it."

Ingrid smiled and said " well I can teach you about robots, science, and medicine and Red here can help teach how to survive in the wasteland, guns and melee weapons . So I can guess you're not from here, where are you from ?"

Six replied "I'm from the Boiling Isles." Both Red and Ingrid thought ' where the hell is that?'
